El Pimpi Tapas in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

We ordered fish soup and to my surprise, it was vinegary. We told them, and the response was, "I can bring you another one, it's freshly made." This meant it was old and reheated. Beware of food poisoning! We asked for the bill and left. I didn't like it; it didn't have that Spanish flavor, and I know what I'm talking about—I lived in Madrid for 20 years and traveled almost all over Spain.

The establishment is nice, everything is clean, the furniture is new, the staff is pleasant. I was disappointed that the padrón peppers weren't prepared according to the original recipe and the harvest itself had a lot of seeds. The sangria was good.

A lovely restaurant in the center of Amsterdam – we had a truly wonderful evening with delicious tapas and excellent service. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. Highly recommended!

A lovely restaurant, not the usual touristy fare found in these cities; the atmosphere, service, and staff are reminiscent of Spain, so highly recommended. Bruschetta and shrimp in salsa were the appetizer, followed by truly excellent seafood paella. The beer selection was also good (sangria is also available). Everything was excellent, and the price was in line with the quality of the food.

Stuck in Amsterdam due to weather and found this lovely cosy restaurant. Staff were super friendly and food was great. Recommend the calamari and fried aubergine, but it was all really tasty.

We had a delicious meal, and we ordered a lot. The atmosphere and service were good, perhaps because it was Christmas Eve.

Such a lovely team and food was perfect! Such a nice cozy spot to have a nice dinner.

A cozy spot and definitely delicious food. So why one star less? For tapas, the menu is small and the prices are high, and although most dishes are larger than elsewhere, some are unfortunately not proportional. Since we were still hungry, we ordered more, but the entire order turned out to be unaccounted for. We went home slightly disappointed.

Overall, I enjoyed the small plates( pardon pepper, Spanish sausage, garlic prawn & potato omelette) which were packed with flavour and beautifully presented. But would recommend skipping the paella if you're looking for a satisfying seafood dish.

If you're looking for tapas, leave! Spain has never really set foot here: the dishes seem to have sprung straight from the imagination of someone who saw a tortilla in a photo on a rainy day. The prices are so exorbitant that you wonder if you're paying for the food or for the owner's next trip. The portions are so small that you'll leave hungry... and with an empty wallet. Even a GPS wouldn't lead you there for ethical reasons. In short: this isn't a restaurant; it's a sociological experiment on human gullibility. Save your money, your appetite, and your dignity.

Ive definitely had better but a cute spot nice location. Excellent sangria. Best bets are tomato bread, jamon, and cheese. All fresh and tasty. Delicious. Croquetes, patatas are ok-not great Friendly service

The food was excessively expensive for what you get. It was okay, but nothing special. And the drinks were ridiculously priced (€5 for a small bottle of water, the same for a Coke). We only ordered the bare minimum and finished our meal at home. A shame.

Paella was small and didn't have much seafood. Meat skewers with potatoes were tasty. Nice ambiance sitting outside under the heat lamp. Friendly server.

I have a Spanish wife and, of course, I've eaten Spanish food many times, both in the Netherlands and in Spain. It was a really bad dinner. This was the first time I had a very hot "Patatas Bravas" and it was not said to be hot.I still don't understand what the dish served as paella is. If you want to eat Spanish food, definitely skip this restaurant.

If you're Spanish, the food is nothing special, to say the least, and it's supposed to be tapas... and it's expensive.

The food was simply amazing. The meat was cooked perfectly. The patatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The croquettas were in our opinion the star. We really recommand this place if you want real spanish tapas. And the service was amazing, the servers were so nice. We will come back.

It's like being in a little slice of Granada, Spain, right in the heart of Amsterdam. A fantastic atmosphere, traditional flamenco music, and delicious Spanish food. The prices are reasonable, and the waiters are very attentive and friendly. You absolutely must try the goat cheese croquettes and the BBQ chorizo. I highly recommend it!

A very cozy and quiet restaurant with an atmospheric, heated terrace. The open fire, in particular, creates a pleasant atmosphere. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. The paella was delicious, very aromatic, and authentic. However, the portion was a bit smaller than what we're used to in Spain. Of course, Amsterdam can't be directly compared to Spain, but we would have appreciated a bit more on our plates. Overall, a very pleasant evening in a relaxed setting – we'd love to come back!

The tapas are excellent, especially the meat tapas. Definitely try the Brouwerj Zatte beer. The service was super friendly. Tapas are prepared and served by Spanish and Argentinian chefs. The atmosphere is Mediterranean. Best restaurant experience in Amsterdam.

The selection of tapas we had was great. We particularly went for the grilled sardines. Even ordered a second plate of sardines. If I could make one suggestion I would suggest adding grilled and slightly charred octopus.
