Hearty and very tasty meal, lots of choice but not excessive, everything seems to be homemade. Good choice of music

I had a very disappointing experience at Florentin Brunch in Amsterdam. From the moment we arrived, the service was shockingly rude — both the waitress and the manager treated us with a level of disrespect I’ve never experienced in a restaurant before. We ordered the shakshuka, which was completely bland and lacked any of the flavor or richness you would expect from a proper version of the dish. It honestly didn’t resemble shakshuka at all. With both poor food and appalling service, I truly don’t understand how this place has a 4.8/5 rating. I would not recommend it to anyone — definitely not worth the hype or your time.

Nice atmosphere, but very slow service and not amazing quality food... I had a lot of expectations and ended up being very disappointed! D&A Hummus Bistrot is way better (and quieter)

We went here because of the amazing 4.8 rating, and while the food truly was great, the service was a huge letdown. We were 15 minutes late (still within reason), but were told we only had one hour, which is fine — except the staff kept hovering and pressuring us. They repeatedly asked if our friend was coming or if she already knew what to order, making the whole experience rushed and uncomfortable. When all of us finally arrived, we asked for tap water for 4 people, and they brought one tiny glass — barely a shot! We didn’t notice right away because the food arrived at the same time. We only realized when we were about to pay, and even then the server said she’d bring it… at the very end. It felt dismissive and careless. I get that it’s a busy place, but a high rating should also mean decent service, not just good food. With how many great brunch spots are out there, I definitely won’t be coming back.

Lovely brunch in great atmosphere!

The food is delicious. The arepas are very well made, as is the bread dough. Everything is made here. A great option if you're a tourist in Amsterdam and want to eat something delicious. The service is perfect, and the owner is super friendly. A spectacular place.

Frankly, it's very diverse. They have a brother named Saeed who speaks Arabic and is very helpful, to be honest.

absolutely incredible place. the staff are running a tight ship but are still so open and welcoming, very friendly and willing to answer any questions or just chat about the food. the food itself is delicious, we got the malawach and arepas and they were both really good, the restaurant is pretty much always busy so the food did take a second but it was definitely worth the wait. definitely make a reservation and keep in mind the reservation doesn’t save you a table it just shortens your wait time.

First meal in Amsterdam. Seated outside and the weather was just so great, not cold and not hot. Ordered Florentin egg, added with salmon. It was good. Price was acceptable. And staff were nice and caring too.

One of the best breakfasts in Amsterdam! You can't miss it, anything you order is a delight. The staff is super friendly. The chicken shawarma, the arepa, the eggs shakshuka, and the French toast are my favorites. We came here for breakfast two days in a row. It's a combination of Israeli and Colombian food.

We're two families traveling to Amsterdam. We didn't know where to eat, and by chance, we found the FLORENTIN BRUNCH! It was the GREATEST MAKE OF THE ENTIRE TRIP! The food was spectacular, the dessert was an explosion of flavor, and the staff was impressive, especially Ricardo, who was a great host. It's too far away for us to return, but it should be a must-visit in Amsterdam.

The most authentic place around... If you've ever been to Florentin street in Tel Aviv you would feel like you're right back there... And if you haven't you'll have the closest thing to knowing how it feels. From the warmth and the style to the friendliness, this place is the real thing. And let's not forget, super tasty...

Unfortunately, I can't entirely agree with the excellent reviews. The food came quickly, but unfortunately, we weren't completely impressed. The service is really fast and friendly. The atmosphere is quite loud and lively, and you sit very close to the next table. You have to like that.

Really good Brunch spot which is nicely located. The food was amazing and filling. The homemade lemonade was awesome and refreshing. The service was just perfect always checked if we needed something and also showed us from where and what fruits they used for the lemonade.

Delightful array of brunch options from different cultures. Everything was customizable and beautifully done. Every one of our diverse party was quite pleased. The owner was an excellent host. Reservations highly recommended even mid week, although not strictly mandatory for smaller parties.

It's the worst place in all of Amsterdam. The waiters are incredibly rude, the food is mediocre, and the prices are excessively high for the dishes they serve. Absolutely not recommended.

Horrible, not at all recommended, very expensive for what it is. They charged us €1 for the mayonnaise that came with the fries. Terrible, don't come here.

We were in Amsterdam for 2 nights and went for breakfast here twice. On the second day, we walked for almost an hour because the place is so worth it! The food is quality with amazing, rich flavour! If I'm ever back, this place is on my list! It's a must-visit!

Just a perfect all day brunch to open the day or fuel the rest of the day. Not sure what is better the innovative and home made food or the beautiful Colombian music.

We had quite a strange and disappointing experience during brunch at this restaurant. We brought friends who were visiting from the U.S., hoping for a relaxed and enjoyable meal, but unfortunately, it didn’t turn out that way. First of all, the seating was uncomfortably cramped, with tables placed far too close together on the street. There was even a wooden board under my chair in an attempt to stabilize it, but it didn’t work, I was wobbling the entire time. From the moment we sat down, we were rushed. Multiple staff members approached us within minutes of each other, asking for our order before we even had a chance to look at the menu. Just as we were trying to decide, yet another waiter would come over, pressuring us again. At one point, someone asked if we wanted dessert or if they should clear the table, while we were still eating! In total, we were served by four different people and ended up paying to a fifth, which made the whole experience feel chaotic and impersonal. It was uncomfortable and frankly, a bit embarrassing in front of our guests. The food itself was good, but the rushed service and lack of coordination made it hard to enjoy. Sadly, we left feeling stressed rather than satisfied.

This is the best spot for breakfast and lunch! 10/10 recommend, this is my 4th time here in the last 2 weeks. All of my friends love it when I bring them here

A little corner of paradise. The staff are adorable and attentive, the street is quiet, and the terrace is pleasant on sunny days. And the food is delicious and generous! Go there with your eyes closed!

Not your classic breakfast items , a bid overpriced $60 for 2 , portion was large , staff friendly , place is packed and everyone is squeezed next to each other , espresso was cold . Bread was stale , did not enjoy it , sorry but not my type of breakfast.

Sadly, repeated visits have demonstrated shortcomings which I believe can be addressed. The place has great potential though, location, colorful menu, music, energy. Some tips: 1. Redesign to offer more spacious seating. Maximizing seating capacity is at the expense of clients. 2. Avoid the long wait for meals. 3. Respect reservation timelines (can deviate 5 minutes but not 20 minutes). 4. Re-offer desserts. 5. Better/cleaner facilities. 6. Avoid excuses or a defensive approach with clients for issues that repeat themselves multiple times. We know you are doing your best. Let us help you.

I took my friends for brunch to Florentin and it was amazing. The size, the presentation and the taste.of the food were exceeding my expectations. But.. what was most wonderful was the service we received... such lovely and kind people working there made our time extra special. Now I understand well why Florentin is always full. Waiting for the table is worth it! Definitely coming back to try more 🫶

Woke up craving a delicious breakfast, and let me tell you, this cafe ☕ delivered! Good flat white was a perfect start to my morning. I also devoured the shakshuka, and it was bursting with flavor, definitely recommend it. The whole place has such a fantastic vibe, super chill and welcoming.
