The staff were very friendly, but some vegetables like the broccoli were raw, which could be improved. The cheese fondue was delicious and reasonably priced.

We reserved a table for two for the three-course menu. We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed all the food, and the price was more than reasonable for the amount we received. The staff was incredibly friendly, so it was a truly wonderful experience!

Great place. The food is great but it is outshine by the staff. This was one of our most enjoyable meals in Amsterdam. They went out of their way to make the meal special for our kids.

If you love fondue this place is for you. And if you have never had it this is a great place to go to try it. We went as a group of 4 and ordered the cheese and the meat fondue. Definitely recommend this approach so you can sample it all. The salad had a creamy dressing if you like that. The tomato soup was excellent. The Caprese salad was great - pesto heavy. Chocolate fondue is a must.

And for that price, you can order unlimited vegetables (which thankfully weren't overcooked) and delicious fresh bread. We had a nice chat with the owner and headed home feeling satisfied. Booked for a nice dinner at Fondue, ordered immediately but was not helped further, the service is very good at looking at the floor, walls and ceiling, as one of the first in and last served, some iceberg lettuce dry without sauce in a bowl, the extra sausage offered is salty cheap supermarket sausage, the fondue is fine, sufficient bread and other side dishes after complaining a lot, the chef came to say sorry that was it

Unfortunately, we didn't have time for an appetizer or dessert this time because we had a concert to attend, but we'll definitely be back to try those too. Even without a social deal, the prices are very reasonable. Especially with such friendly service! We felt welcome.

We found it through Social Deal. The food was delicious. The service was super friendly. It's a bit noisy outside on the terrace, but then again... it's on the Overtoom. We still had a lovely start to our evening on the terrace and then went inside for dinner. We had Dutch cheese fondue. Delicious cheese, vegetables, and bread. Simple, but perfectly fine. The salad was tasty and enough for the three of us. A nice bonus was that the surplus Scroppino was also poured and given to us. We had a lovely evening and a great meal.

A special place in the outskirts of Amsterdam, excellent value for money. I had the delicious Dutch fondue or obviously the chocolate one for dessert.

The six of us had a wonderful meal, although I don't particularly like cheese fondue. We had to share the "quite tiny" salad. But with 12 glasses of wine and 2 beers... tap water was out of the question. NO SERVICE, and I definitely won't be back. Very clumsy of you... there were glasses... a carafe of water would have made ALL the difference.

Very cozy place for fondue, we had a great time! It feels like the chef is the father and the server is the son, both of them were very friendly and helpful. Had the dutch cheese fondue wnd the chocolate fondue, both were delicious and had many things for dipping. Will definitely return!

We visited fondue & fondue on 3 sperate occasions. We were advised before hand by friends to prebook a table as it gets full pretty fast, which we did. Despite that, 2 out of the 3 times they delayed seating us and had us wait outside for 30-45 mins in the Amsterdam cold. The once they gave us a round of cocktails on the house as an apology for the long wait. Overall, it is a nice cozy place and the staff are friendly but there are better places in Amsterdam for cheaper and better service.

Worst fondue I have ever had, I do not recommend coming here, it was really a scam and made me sick. We ordered the truffle fondue, but the texture and taste were very off. I've had and made many fondues before, whether french or Swiss the recipe is very simple, cheese and wine. This fondue had no taste and was clearly mixed with bechamel sauce, and possibly thickened with potato starch. I've had pre-made grocery store fondue that tasted better. The cheese never solidified in my plate, but remained pasty, clearly diluted with other ingredients. There was clearly no wine in the fondue also, so I wonder what liquid they used. The vegetables were tasteless and low quality as well. The chocolate fondue was the only good part of the meal, strawberries were fresh and chocolate fondue was not cut. The biscuits, however, were served stale. The price of 18 eur was very high, though, for a small fondue bowl. They obviously tried to cut corners to save money. Atmosphere is nice and service was mediocre. The food gave us bad food poisoning thr whole night afterwards, so definitely don't recommend it.

Got meat fondue and cheese fondue. The cheese is very good and the fondue with vegetables quite good, the meat fondue with a broth is so-so (more than an oriental restaurant). The starters were good and the desserts average. They could improve the price a bit more.

Cozy cozy tent. There were 4 of us and we had a cheese and meat fondue. We were able to order vegetables because that was sparse when it came to the table haha, but enough bread and cheese was filling, we had a delicious meal and chocolate fondue for dessert. Oh and check their site for deals.

Super tasty food and helped by very nice people! Large portion of fondue with tasty vegetables, salad and bread. A bit cramped as it got busier, which was a bit stressful when leaving. Still, I'm really looking forward to eating here again :)

Fondue & Fondue is a specialized restaurant, reservations are essential for greater comfort as it is usually very busy, it is very very small which is a bit uncomfortable since you are shoulder to shoulder with the customer next to you. Apart from the characteristics of the place, the staff is friendly, they recommend you based on the diners and the size of the portions, the bread is unlimited. We have ordered Kaas Fondue and Hollandse kaasfonfue to try both types of cheeses, in a combo that comes with a starter and dessert included, the chocolate fondue with fruits, very delicious but highlighting some of the richest chocolate or mouse cakes I have ever tasted. I recommend if you are in Amsterdam visit this place!

The atmosphere inside was cozy. However, I don’t think I would return for another meal. We ordered two shared fondues, but I didn’t enjoy them as much as I had hoped. After a while, I even started feeling nauseous. The salami they served tasted quite bland, similar to what you’d find at Albert Heijn, which was disappointing. Additionally, I found it odd that they didn’t offer tap water. Overall, while just the ambiance was pleasant, the food and the service as well left much to be desired…

The fondue was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant has a lovely, cozy atmosphere that feels very familiar. The service was excellent - our server was super friendly and even spoke German, which was a nice surprise. We highly recommend the Dutch cheese fondue for €22 per person - it was rich, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Pairing it with a rosé made it even better! When we're back in Amsterdam, we'll definitely visit again. We also highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant was very busy.

Cheese fondue was mediocre. They are not "allowed" to serve tap water. The plank of sausage that you can order looks like it just came from Albert Heijn. All best for the price

This place is a disgrace. You make a reservation and they let your table go. The food is mediocre at best, cramped and expensive. My recommendation is to walk a little further down the block and hit In Bread for a delicious dinner with friends.

Im very sorry but it was highly unpleasant experience. First, we had a reservation but had to wait for our table for 30 minutes standing downstairs near the toilet :) Second, when we got the table, it was the table near the entrance door where they also had the window open, next day we woke up with a cold… we were freezing the whole evening. Third, after 30 min the gave us the table it was the table I cleaned from the previous guest. 10 minutes we were sitting at a dirty table with no menu. We got our food only IN AN HOUR AFTER OUR ARRIVAL. Carpaccio was very nice, liked it a lot. But the rest was very mediocre. It’s not worth it. The truffle fondue has zero taste of truffle or cheese. It’s was a tasteless substance, unfortunately… The staff is very cute though. We are not coming back, very upsetting.

Het was ver boven onze verwachting, het eten was heerlijk, personeel mega aardig en de sfeer was knus en gezellig. De huisgemaakte limoncello was verrukkelijk! Al met al ik kom hier zeker terug en raad dit IEDEREEN aan. 5/5 sterren!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. We arrived and were told to come back in an hour due to a lack of available tables. However, when we returned at the designated time, the staff claimed they had told us to come back at 9:30 instead. This was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, as it seemed like poor communication or a complete lack of organization on their part. Not only did we waste time waiting, but we also felt that our visit was not valued. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for reliable service. If I could, I wouldn’t have given any stars. I only gave one just to be able to post my dissatisfaction, because even that one, they don’t deserve!!

I did a lot of research to find a good fondue restaurant in Amsterdam and decided that Fondue & Fondue was perfect for what I wanted. We had a reservation for 9 p.m. The server told us about a three-course menu where you can choose an appetizer, main course, and dessert for €35 per person. It sounded perfect, so we went with that. The fondue was amazing—generous servings and truly delicious. We couldn’t even finish the main course because we wanted to save room for dessert. When dessert came, it was around 10 p.m, when the restaurant closes. No other guests had arrived after us, and the tables that were occupied before us were leaving, so we ended up being the last table. The server started cleaning up and resetting the tables, bringing in the outdoor signs, etc. It started to feel like we were being rushed out, which made us uncomfortable. When we asked for the bill, we noticed that “Tip not included” was circled at the bottom. I thought this was odd for Europe, as tipping isn’t generally expected unless the service is exceptional. I ignored it, but when the server brought the card machine, he directly asked how much I wanted to pay. I immediately felt pressured to leave a tip, even though I didn’t want to due to the rushed experience. I ended up tipping regretfully. The restaurant closes at 10 p.m., and our reservation was at 9 p.m. You are able to make reservations online until 9:45 p.m., so it doesn’t seem fair to expect a table to leave in just an hour, especially when ordering a three-course meal and a bottle of wine. We were practically chugging the wine at the end. It was not a great dining experience, and I still feel uneasy about it. Just really not an experience you want to have when trying to have an enjoyable dinner. Quite a shame since the food was very good.

We ate here 2 weeks ago as part of our city trip: what friendly and attentive service and what delicious food! Would go to Amsterdam again especially for their cheese fondue. We really enjoyed it. We also liked the location: close to the pleasant Vondelpark and in vibrant Amsterdam, but not in the very busy tourist area - perfect!

Came with my girlfriend and we loved it, the fondue is geat and the atmosphere was cozy with good music behind, but it wasn’t loud like in many other places so you can speak easily. We loved the carpaccio and the dutch cheese fondue, portions are big and generous so we ended up sharing dessert, would def come back!

A decent cheese hotpot (Fondue) restaurant, the portion is very small. If you can eat it, the portion should not be enough. The price on the menu is for one person, but it requires two people. For example, a pot is 22, which is 44 euros, and one water Bottle 6 euros. I haven't compared the cheese hotpot at other restaurants, but I think it's pretty good. The only thing that surprised me was that when I asked for ice cubes from the counter, he took out the ice cube bag and grabbed the ice cubes directly with his hands. Yes, he used his ungloved hands to directly grab the ice cubes and put them into the cup.

We just had a wonderful Dutch cheese fondue! The atmosphere is very cozy, the portions were generous and the food was excellent. The service was exceptional and our attendant could recommend excellent choices for all of us. We will be recommending to our business colleagues and friends!
