Yesterday was our fifth time dining here. Two years ago, this restaurant provided the catering for our wedding, something we still look back on very fondly. Ode to the Frisone Pazzo team! From the welcome by the charming Artemis to the Sambucco with three Italian coffee beans, we were surprised. The urban location is unique and quickly captivates. But when the first amuse-bouche with egars is served, you immerse yourself in the Italian atmosphere and experience a high-quality sensory adventure. We enjoyed a surprise 3-course menu and are already looking forward to the next time. Ci vediamo.

We discovered the restaurant by chance thanks to a VVV gift card. We had a 5-course surprise menu. This included a delicious amuse-bouche, the amuse-bouche before the main course, and a spoom bite before dessert. Everything had been thought of. We also enjoyed delicious mocktails and lovely frisandises with our coffee. We will definitely be back.

This is one of the best restaurants you can imagine in Heerenveen. The food is exquisite. The service is friendly and extremely professional. The ambiance in this former trade school is pleasant. The restaurant is stylishly decorated. Finally, a big compliment to all the staff.

Beautiful location, attentive and friendly service. Nice dishes, but I don't know what was Italian about them. Average dishes that you get served in any good restaurant in the higher price range. Not spectacular and certainly not surprising. No question about a possible wine pairing or wine to match the dishes. When asked what we liked best... the limoncello.

If you're wondering what a Greek (?) woman does in an Italian osteria in Friesland: well, she runs a fantastic restaurant. A week and a half ago, I ate here with my children and their family. I'd been here a few times before and wasn't disappointed; it was another wonderful experience. Kudos to the single-handed kitchen, which at that point was responsible for preparing the dishes, as we weren't the only table in the restaurant. The four-course menu was a hit with everyone, even the pickiest among us 😉—beautiful dishes and unique flavors. The courses were beautifully presented and explained by the manager, our hostess that evening, who also surprised us with delicious wine with each course 😍🍷 In short, a truly delightful evening, thanks! I'm abroad for a few months now, but I'll definitely be back for another delicious meal 😋

There's only one option: the surprise menu. Okay, you can still choose from 3, 4, or 5 courses. But we were surprised! The food was delicious and the service fantastic. Definitely worth repeating.

I recommend the chef/cook from this company to take a "work-cooking holiday" to Italy. What a disaster!! The service/hostess was excellent and attentive, friendly. But the only good thing was the bottle of Rosé and the Italian bread with oil; otherwise, there was no Italian flavor or originality to be found in the dish. The location and atmosphere were great, but as for the restaurant/food, you definitely don't need to go there, and I expect they'll be forced to close within a year if they continue cooking at this level. The price/quality ratio is absolutely ridiculous!

Een prachtig restaurant. Sfeervol ingericht. Bediening was top. Eten viel helaas erg tegen. We hadden een drie gangen menu. Vooraf carpaccio van knolselderij. Weinig smaak en enorme portie. De beloofde venkel was niet terug te proeven in de smaak. Het hoofdgerecht was weinig verrassend met runderwang en puree van pastinaak. Die puree smaakte flauw en er lagen wel 3 haricots verts in je bord 😱. Het dessert was het meest smakelijke van het hele diner. Kortom. Voor ons helaas niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Recommended by a colleague. Good restaurant, the service is great and they serve very good wine. We had chosen the 5-course surprise menu where we also chose a small meat platter in advance. The colleague had indicated that you could say that you would rather not have fish and that they would then replace it with meat, so I had asked and it was no problem. I waited 3 courses full of anticipation for a piece of meat, when the 4th course was there the fish had been replaced by cream cheese, then we already got dessert. As a seasoned carnivore I was very disappointed although it was all very tasty, my girlfriend still had fish and she liked it. Together with the wine arrangement you still spend €200 for 2 people for an (almost) vegetarian 5-course menu, very lucrative for the company since meat is usually the most expensive to buy. After this we went to the Mac for a Big Tasty to get some savoury food. When I heard afterwards from my colleague that they had been given meat with it 2 days earlier when they asked the same question, it didn't feel right.

Een aantal weken geleden ook al geweest en nu was er een nieuwe kaart. Dus we waren er weer. En weer klopte alles!! De smaken, de beleving, het advies van de bediening. Alles was gewoon weer toppp. Januari zijn we er weer. Weer bedankt voor de fijne gezellige avond. Zaten vanavond met zicht op de keuken, leuke gesprekken met het keukenpersoneel gehad!! Thuis gekomen met vleeswaren aan toe. Echt super. Tot snel👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Vier gangen verrassingsmenu voor eur 50: plakje vette buikspek als voorgerecht, 2 scheppen kale orzo met tomatensaus als tussen gerecht. Hoofdgerecht - zeebaars, die was wel lekker, en als dessert een paar blokjes notentaart. Alle gerechten matig opgemaakt, de liefde ontbrak geheel. De wijze waarop het menu werd geserveerd staat in geen enkele verhouding tot de foto’s die op de site staan. Waren al eerder in dit restaurant geweest en toen niet teleurgesteld. Wat een gezellig en lekker etentje had moeten worden liep uit op een desillusie. De bediening was vriendelijk, daar lag het niet aan. Helaas valt dit restaurant van onze lijst af.

Went for the 4th time last Saturday and once again had a surprising 5 course menu with delicious wine. The staff is extremely friendly and the hostess, who is also the manager, always gave a nice explanation of what was served. Will definitely come again this year.

Yesterday we had dinner at Frisone Pazzo for the first time. Last visited the building 22 years ago when it was still the technical school. Beautiful and attractive decoration, nice service and even more important in a restaurant is of course the food. We went for the 5 course surprise menu, which was a nice variety of dishes that were delicious in taste and beautifully presented. The portions are also a good size. Highly recommended!

We hebben hier een dag later over gebeld, het te veel berekende bedrag werd met vriendelijke excuses direct terugbetaald. Top! Tot snel weer!

The service makes you feel more than welcome and they always keep a close eye on whether you need anything. Tastefully decorated restaurant. And the fact that the chef comes to the table and the dessert chef himself brings his dessert is something you only experience in the best restaurants. Star quality in Heerenveen!

Genoten van een heerlijk 4-gangen verassingsdiner. Vlotte bediening met veel kennis van de gerechten en wijnen. Zeker een aanrader, net buiten het centrum.

Onlangs heb ik samen met mijn vrouw een fantastische ervaring gehad bij Frisone Pazzo in Heerenveen, wat vrij vertaald "gekke Fries" betekent. Laat me beginnen met te zeggen dat de term "gek" hier absoluut “te gek” betekent! Dit prachtige restaurant bevindt zich in een historisch pand dat vroeger dienst deed als technische school. De combinatie van historische elementen met een smaakvolle inrichting creëert een unieke sfeer die meteen opvalt. Bij binnenkomst werden we hartelijk en spontaan ontvangen door de gastvrouw, die zowel vriendelijk als zeer deskundig was. Haar aanbevelingen voor wijnen en haar vermogen om dieetwensen moeiteloos door te geven aan de keuken droegen bij aan een perfecte start van de avond. We kozen voor het vijfgangen diner, dat de hele avond duurde maar geen moment verveelde. Het diner volgde de typisch Italiaanse opbouw met antipasto, primi, secondi en dolce, waarbij we als extraatje een fantastische kaasgang kregen als vierde gang. Alle gangen waren van uitzonderlijke kwaliteit en bestonden uit huisgemaakte gerechten die gebruikmaakten van verse groenten en kruiden uit de eigen tuin. Het meest indrukwekkende gerecht was de primi, met huisgemaakte ravioli gevuld met geitenkaas en honing, bereid in een eigen jus van kalfsvlees. Toch mag gezegd worden dat alle gangen verrassend en van onberispelijke kwaliteit waren. Al met al kan ik zeggen dat Frisone Pazzo een geweldig restaurant is, de moeite waard om speciaal voor om te rijden. De combinatie van uitstekend eten, een unieke sfeer en attente service maken het tot een onvergetelijke culinaire ervaring.

Heerlijk gegeten en uitstekende bediening. Leuke ambiance. We aten hier voorafgaand aan een bezoek aan Thialf, dus wilden niet te lang tafelen. Dit werd, bij het reserveren, meteen genoteerd en ook prima uitgevoerd. Heel servicegericht.

Hier kun je heerlijk Italiaans dineren in een prachtig oud gebouw met zeer gastvrije ontvangst en bediening. Ze werken met een verrassingsmenu - heel fijn voor mensen met keuzestress én goed tegen voedselverspilling. Je kunt kiezen voor meerdere gangen en dan voor vlees/vis, vegetarisch of veganistisch. Neem er een lekker biologisch wijntje bij. De vegan 'tiramisu' was overheerlijk. Klap op de vuurpijl was de ijsfontein voor onze jarige job 🎆

Echt goed! Verrassingsmenu 3 gangen met prachtig vleesassortiment met heerlijk brood als entree. Aardige bediening. Rustige en prettige ambiance. Kwaliteit uitstekend! Aanrader en voor herhaling vatbaar.

De aspergeavond afgelopen zondag was super lekker. Het 4 gangen menu met daarnaast nog amuses was zeer gevarieerd en verrassend. Het hoofdgerecht met de verse asperges was zalig! De bijpassende wijnen maakten het compleet. De nieuwe chef Eddy met Bram in de keuken en in de bediening Artemis en Kyla maakten de avond tot een culinair hoogstandje.

Sfeer is prettig, mooie locatie, lief personeel. Voor een wat chiquere tent is het prima dat de porties klein zijn, maar ik verwacht dan wel kwaliteit en lekker.... Vlees en vis leek rechtstreeks uit de supermarkt weg te komen. Het Italiaanse concept kon ik alleen in de wijn terugvinden. Misschien door de coronaellende wat herstartproblemen

Good food but nothing out of the ordinary. Struggled to find the Italian link in some dishes. The sommelier could add some more details with regards to the wines and why they pair well with the dishes.

Goed eten maar te weinig personeel en daardoor lang wachten.

Luogo magnifico, molto ben tenuto. Ottimi cibi, serviti ed impiattati elegantemente. Carta vini eccellente.

Werkelijk geweldig. Alles klopt hier! Super lekker gegeten, perfecte en sfeervolle, industriële ambiance. En als klap op de vuurpijl, een top gastvrouw, een zeldzaam pareltje, die het vak overduidelijk in de vingers heeft. In haar eentje bediende ze op een soepele, natuurlijke en warme manier het hele restaurant. Groeten uit de Hoeksche Waard. Proficiat!
