Recently, four people spontaneously sat down here. After ordering, we had to wait an hour and a half for our food. The people around us were already completely finished, even though they had arrived much later. When I asked, I couldn't get a clear answer; they just said, "It would be here soon." The food wasn't very tasty; a few curries were extremely sweet, others tasteless. Such a shame!

Visited the restaurant for the first time. The selection was impressive. The atmosphere, service, and quality were excellent, so we definitely returned.

We had a truly delicious Indian meal, with a wide selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. The service was very friendly, and the food arrived quite quickly. You can eat in peace without anyone constantly coming to your table. The price/quality ratio is excellent; it's a shame the restaurant doesn't advertise in other places anymore, as we discovered it by chance. We'll definitely be back!

A very quiet family restaurant, we had a chicken tikka starter, a butter chicken, and an egg curry, all three of which were truly excellent. We were even offered rice as an extra; we really had a great time. Highly recommended!

Ghandi serves delicious Indian food, with the Lams Madras as the absolute star. However, the recurring, choking blue fumes and associated stench are a huge problem that needs to be addressed urgently. Until this is remedied, it's difficult to wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant unless you're prepared to wash your entire wardrobe after your meal.

Food really delicious. Ambience lacks some Indian atmosphere. But 'caramba', what enormous fumes from the kitchen rise through the restaurant. When you get home, everything can be washed or dry cleaned and a shower is recommended. There must be a solution for this in terms of extraction in the kitchen, right?

Delicious food! The Onion Bhaji beforehand was especially surprisingly tasty. We had to wait a long time for the main course due to an error in the kitchen, but we were in no hurry. The lamb curries were very tasty. Not spicy. If you wanted it spicy then that was possible. I just don't know if it would be enough for big eaters... You can also pick up. We will definitely come back!

Went here without a reservation after a night out with my friends. Were allowed to sit at the staff table. Very nice. After studying the menu, I ordered the tasty looking dish on the menu. Unfortunately, what appeared to be on the menu was not brought. The three of us won't be eating here anymore, sorry guys.

I have visited with my wife and son to Gandhi Asian food. We thoroughly enjoyed food. Tandoori chicken taste was awesome. Price are also reasonable. It’s authentic Indian flavor restaurant. Must recommend everyone who is looking for authentic Indian taste.

We ordered the items listed in the image, and the experience was highly disappointing for the price (€60). The portions were shockingly small how can both rice and curry be served in the same tiny box? It felt incredibly stingy for the price. The naan was clearly reheated and lacked freshness, which was a huge letdown. Despite specifically requesting spicy food, everything was overwhelmingly sweet, including the samosas, which were supposed to be "spicy veg." The sweetness completely ruined the flavors, making the meal unenjoyable. The delivery experience added to the frustration. We ordered through Thuisbezorgd, and the delivery time kept fluctuating. When we called the restaurant to check, the staff were rude and dismissive, blaming the app and claiming, “The delivery person is here, but we’re still making your food.” That is not the customer's problem—it’s the restaurant's responsibility to manage timing and ensure a smooth experience. For the price, portion size, quality, and service, this was a complete disappointment. We won’t be ordering from here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for authentic or satisfying Indian food.

A beautiful location in the old village of Vreeswijk, we were received very hospitably in an attractively decorated restaurant. All the dishes we tasted were delicious and the service was great.

We went for late dinner on Sunday, and they served the most delicious South Asian food I have tried in Netherlands so far. Best Kottu and lamb Biriyani. Garlic naan was so moist and flavorful. Being a south Asian myself I can gurantee this is where I would recommend for South Indian or north Sri Lankan cuisine. Ginger plain tea was well balanced too. Staff was friendly and accommodating. They have an open kitchen too. Spacious enough around for 50 people at once.

Recently visited this restaurant with my partner on a Monday evening, what a pleasant experience this was! Delicious food, a nice, warm atmosphere and despite it being a Monday evening, there were plenty of other guests. The service was top notch and the location is also very nice. We will definitely come back here and hope that this restaurant with these nice owners and staff will remain in Vreeswijk for a long time and continue to share its delicious Indian (and Sri Lankan) cuisine.

Main course: lamb tikka with only 4 small pieces in a sauce costs the ridiculous sum of €21 euros. Bediening vriendelijke mensen ook uit India ( Sri Lanka). Negatief punten : De porties zijn echt klein en zeer duur voor een hoofdgerecht. Lamb tikka Masala voor € 21 euro (4 kleine lamb stukjes) + basmati rijst. Chicken butter €19.95 euro (4 kleine stukjes kip) + basmati rijst Zeer duur voor een zeer kleine portie!!!!

An asset to Nieuwegein (and surrounding areas)! Very good meal on the most beautifully situated terrace in Vreeswijk. The 2 types of chicken were nicely flavored, accompanied by a nice bottle of (organic) rosé. Good information for us as beginners in Indian cuisine. We'll be back soon!

Whether you are an experienced lover of Indian food or new to this cuisine, I really recommend that you give Gandhi Asian Food a try. With its authentic flavors, warm atmosphere and excellent service. I will definitely return there many more times.

Ordered at 5:07 PM and delivered at 7:30 PM! Every time we pitched it was; the delivery person will leave soon, the delivery person will be there in 15 minutes, etc. I strongly advise against ordering here unless you have plenty of time and are willing to wait 2+ hours for the food.

The taste was very good but unfortunately I removed 2 thick black hairs from the chicken that did not come from us. Too bad, but then I immediately throw it away and that was also my last order there

The food is really tasty, but unfortunately lately it seems like the delivery is not quite up to par. Previously it was great, but now a few times we have had to wait 2 hours for an order, while the indication on the website is 45 minutes. When you call they say it is busy, but I actually think that should not be an excuse, they should perhaps take fewer orders or indicate correct time indications online. Shame!

Amazing chicken roti. I think order at dinner time is more fresh than when u order from lunch time. Chicken roti is more fresh than lamb roti.
