Love this place! The food was amazing, especially if you’re a South Indian food lover like me and enjoy authentic taste. Everything felt so genuine and comforting. Definitely one of the Best South Indian Restaurant in Netherlands. Highly recommended!

We celebrated my son’s birthday party for 70+ attendees. The menu was customized based on our requirements, decoration was allowed & the hospitality was excellent. Food was really tasty & was served hot to each of us. Ample time was given for celebrations. Special applauds for the restaurant manager 👍🏻. Happy with the service’s & flexibility.

Best Indian restaurant in Utrecht

Too bad I dont have photos of what we had ordered! We got pani puris, a plain sweet corn soup, garlic naam with butter paneer and masala chai. After enduring the craving for Indian food for too long while on our trip, I’m glad we found this place. Everything was good but the paneer dish was easily the best I had eaten.

Ordered online, very poor food for the price. Garlic naan is half a small roll, and papadum for €4 is a meager piece. Very poor.

We were with a large group (along with other guests) and they didn't seem to be able to cope with the service.

I had kadhai paneer here. It was so oily and so sweet, nowhere to kadhai paneer. This place is good only for south indian food. Dont waste your money here for north indian food.

Food was nice but we waited too long to be served. We were seated at the terrace and felt like the staffs forgot about us.

We regularly visit Krishna Villas. We always thoroughly enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Our favorites: Paneer Manchurian and Channa Masala. So delicious!!! A large number of the guests have roots in India, which we consider a good sign :)

One of the best Indian vegetarian restaurants in Utah. The food in the restaurant is mainly South Indian, with a strong flavor and delicious. The restaurant does not sell its luxurious decoration, but the taste is authentic and the food is delicious. Especially for friends who like to eat vegetarian food, it is a great treat. As a Chinese, the food here is spicy and curry-style. Generally, people here often order Indian-Chinese Manchurian, fried cauliflower or fried corn shoots. Of course, you can also order an Indian Sichuan fried noodles. For the staple food, I personally like mushroom curry. The button mushroom should be fried and very tasty. The garlic cheese naan is also good. For drinks, don't miss the mango yogurt. Finally, a reminder that this restaurant is very popular in Utah, remember to book a table in advance.

I have ordered some vegetarian snacks for a party of 30 guests - Samosa, Dahi vada, Vada pav and Channa salad. The food was a super hit at the party. Special thanks to manager and delivery crew to take utmost care for really convenient food package . The experience from deciding the dishes, freshness/taste and delivery was seamless. The food was delicious, but the restaurant could use some improvement in its decor. The food was also quite spicy, but this wasn't clearly indicated beforehand (it was still manageable, but still). The service was fast and friendly.

We had our dinner here. The food was delicious and the taste was absolutely authentic as in india.

The restaurant has a huge menu (with only vegetarian dishes). Quite difficult for people with choice stress ;-). Fortunately, everything we ordered was delicious. The service was fast and cheerful.

What we ordered were delicious except Dhal which was on sweet side, such a pity. The rice that came with a set is not Basmati rice while the one that came with Dhal is Basmati & better quality. Service is fantastic.

Very tasty vegetarian food. Both took a Thali (metal dish with different dishes), one from North India 19.50 and I from South India 17.50. We liked the North better with chappati, the South also tasty but much spicier. I made the mistake of also taking a starter platter 14.50 with fried starters, so we really couldn't eat anymore. I would have liked to have ice cream, but I was way too full. The service is friendly, the food came quickly, the mango lassi was good, it is very noisy in the weekend but cozy. Definitely a nice place to go back to.

I love love love spicy veggie Indian food of all regional varieties and really wanted to like Krishna Vilas in Utrecht given its vegetarian focus and recommendations from friends. We also wished to support the renaissance of this team after their terrible recent fire and restaurant closure for many months. However, the food quality and taste are very uneven, and I would not recommend overall. Decor and ambiance are too brightly lit and harsh and a bit tacky/sterile. Staff are extremely friendly and kind. Menu is extremely uneven - some dishes are nice and reasonably flavourful/interesting, such as the mutter paneer, puras, and gobi 65. Others were incredibly bland and boring, such as the palak paneer (puréed into boredom), malai paneer (malai kofta unavailable/positively inedible like wallpaper paste!), and bhaingan bartha (too dilute and no flavor). Dosa were nicely prepared with some good/some not-good small dipping sauces/accompaniments, but also bland overall and a bit greasy. The thalis were okay with south Indian >> north Indian in our opinion. Kitchen is overall far too heavy-handed with the ghee, which leads to an unpleasantly heavy meal for most curries and the glistening greasy rice. Naan was relatively more lightly prepared and nicer. Pricing is relatively high for quantity of food in most curries, and 5 euros for a small glass of boring lassi is particularly ridiculous. We sadly will not return to Krisha Vilas and will look elsewhere in Nederland for non-bland Indian food - this is not UK-quality by any means.

I probably wouldn’t have chosen this place since it’s vegan and I do really like meat, but boy am I glad that we went here. All of the food we ordered (and it was a lot) was delicious. The spice and herb combinations used are superb and not for a second did I miss meat. The garlic naan is a must-have, and we had some fantastic fried cauliflower that was just the best. Service was also great, very experienced. Will definitely be coming back. We saw a lot of Indian people eat here as well so that’s definitely a good sign! :)

Food ( all vegetarian or vegan ) was excellent and very affordable. There is ample choice. The service was good and very fast, the staff was very friendly. Our servers only spoke english though, no dutch at all. The atmosphere and ambiance was exactly what a place like this needs. It's not a cosy place where you can dine. It's for a quick, relatively cheap bite of indian food.

So very happy that this place reopened after 2.5 months closing due to a kitchenfire. Very delighted to be able to enjoy amazing food again! This time we enjoyed delicious Rasam, Mutter Masala, Baingan Bartha, Many Butter Naans, Ghee, Mango Lassi's 😋. Keep on going, See you soon again dear Krishna team !❤️

Delicious food and not too expensive, unfortunately not that atmospheric

Absolutely phenomenal food! It was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant ever, not exaggerating. Inside it was a bit too hot for us, so we asked for a table outside, which was great! Definitely would recommend to go here and sit outside!

Very authentic Indian vegetarian food. Great flavours and great portions. The thali was nice, the pani puri as well, but the service was very slow. However the food was so authentic, I’d definitely come back again and again when I am missing Indian food.

Delicious food, friendly staff, but the general atmosphere/appearance of the restaurant is a bit less. But hey, you also come here for the food, and in that respect Krisna Vilas is highly recommended!

The food bhature was too oily and single bread, dosa was ok , filter coffee worst ever tried, masala tea was too bitter and not fresh

The reservation did not come through. I showed the waiter the reservation confirmation e-mail on my phone and he still made it seem like I was the one at fault. They never explained the menu and we made an error causing us to order way too much food. Also the food was not tasty at all. Too much dough, too many pancakes, not enough flavor. Just some watery dipsauces. 1 star added at food for the curry masala. That one was very good. Other dishes were very blend taste and too much oil. When paying they had issues with the cash register and we had to pay by bank transfer. That is not an issue at all, but at least explain to the customers why this happened. Waste of an evening.

Vegetarian Indian food restaurant, with several vegan options, and others that can be adapted to vegans as well. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends. Depending on what they order, the portions have different sizes. The platters (I forgot the name) are very tasty, varied and the portion is large. The curries portion is very good for one person.

Disappointment... I live nearby and I often walk past it. It is always busy so I wanted to try it because I really like Indian cuisine. Unfortunately everything was disappointing. We had a mixed starter (south indian mixed platter). These were just fried snacks, very greasy and little taste. For the main course we had both a South Indian and a North Indian thali to try/taste everything. Here too, there was little that we really liked and here too the greasy fried poori. You don't have to come for the service and atmosphere, the staff is friendly, but the plates and glasses are picked up with a trolley as if you were eating at a breakfast buffet. The decor is also not very cozy. All in all, not worth repeating for us.

I have been here many times and it is always a pleasure. My little sister is vegetarian and gluten free and finding a restaurant with a variety of options for her to choose from and more than enough food for the rest of the family to enjoy is simply fantastic!

Great place and great food. For me, personally, the only disadvantage is not serving any meat dish (but then again, it's a vegetarian restaurant). Other than that it's a good restaurant

Food was not tasty at Utrecht as we had a better experience in other Krishna Vilas. Too much of waiting time to get the order and then the taste was not at all great.

Just the best! Time and time again I leave happy and with the feeling that I ate too much (because it’s just that good). Highly recommend ordering different dishes and sharing it with a group! A must try are the yummy samosa, masala dosa’s and manchurian gobi! The North Indian mains Bhindi masala and Paneer tikka masala were also great.

Bad experience. We came on time for reservation, and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated. Then wait 30 minutes to order. Our reservation was at 19:45, and we got our starter at 21:05. I requested not at all spicy dish, the waiter told me they can accommodate for that. I asked, if the dish in question isn’t spicy, and I was assured it won’t be. Received the dish, was not able to eat more than one spoon, I’m not even being dramatic. Sure it’s an Indian restaurant I respect that food here is spicy, but then just tell me that it is? Why lie? Anyways sat for an hour and a half waiting just to get inedible food. My partner (who loves spicy and Indian food) said it’s not good either, just as taste. Anyways do not recommend

The food was delicious, but the sound of all the guests together was overwhelming. We, being elderly, had to make a great effort to understand each other. The decoration with tiles, large windows, no curtains and many tables reinforce this. In terms of food, it is highly recommended.

Love this Indian restaurant. Dosa's are great!!! The ambiance is a bit simple, the staff is very friendly and fast. The food is great, one of the best in Utrecht in my opinion. The place on the corner of the street has got enough place to sit. I would like to come here a bit more often.

Great tent! Don't skip it, just try it. Never before have I eaten so tasty and extensive. The staff is friendly and cooperative.

The food was nice and the prices are good. But I think they are understaffed at best. We waited 20 minutes for someone to take our order and another 30 to get the dosa.

Very good and authentic indian food. On the menu, it was not marked clearly, which of the dishes are gluten-free. One of the waiter was better informed, the other one had no idea but she tried to check the foods with the kitchen. It would not be a promblem but this process took a long time-maybe have a list at hand? The food and the marsala chai was amazing.

The ambiance... simple furnishings and plenty of lighting. The menu is very (too?) extensive so you have to make choices ;-) Friendly and fast service. Delicious Indian food, worth repeating!

After all the positive reviews, my expectations were high, but they were not fully met. We were a bit disappointed with the food and the atmosphere is not optimal. It was very busy and you are not often seen by the employees. Ordered two rounds of food and twice the wrong order was placed. This was indicated when paying, but nothing was done with it, except to adjust the bill.

Good and tasteful food with one exception, the tandoori roti bread was burnt/black at the bottom side (saw it too late); point of improvement for Krishna Vilas

If you like Indian food, you should visit the Krishna Vilas. The dossa I ate was very tasty, but my favorite is Gobi manchurian.

The food was good, but the service was disappointing. We ordered a starter and two main courses, but my main arrived first, followed by the starter about 30 minutes later, and then the second main course after that. No effort was made to fix the issue, and I had to ask for my dish to be reheated, which they only brought it back after we shared starters and finished the second main. The timing was completely off, which really affected the experience. Also, the floor was so sticky that you could hear it with every step. Good food, but the service really let it down.
