We have been loyal customers of Krishna Vilas for many years and have always enjoyed the food and had positive interactions with the owners. That is exactly why the recent news and allegations surrounding the owners have been so deeply disappointing and disturbing to us. Based on what has come to light, we have made the personal decision not to visit Krishna Vilas, or other restaurants associated with the same owners, anymore. For us, good food alone is not enough. Humanity, integrity, and the way people are treated matter far more. Having spoken with the owners on a few occasions and always having had pleasant interactions, it is particularly difficult to reconcile those experiences with what is now being reported. The allegations involving the treatment of people are deeply troubling, and I cannot feel comfortable supporting the business while carrying that knowledge. The restaurant may serve good food, and we have many years of memories associated with it, but for us, humanity will always stand above dining.

i love going to krishna vilas often because of their big menu and affordable meals. super vegan friendly too

A bit disappointed. We ordered south indian food- dosa,mini idli, kuzi paniyaram. It was just average. I understand nirth Indian food is better. With such a vantage place and good clients they must make it taste better

Normally the food is just good. This time I ordered vegetable pilao because the biryani wasn't available, and it was basically just a bowl of white rice with three tiny slivers of vegetables for 14.50. It's a bit ridiculous to charge that much. So maybe it's better to order on the spot so they can immediately let you know if something is out of stock or disappointing. The Gobi Manchurian was really tasty, though.

I am not a vegetarian, but the tasty chutney makes you forget that. A combination of different flavors. Good to have eaten there once. But I won't be there often.

Went for onam sadhya! Pre booked and went on time. The wait time was the worst, took close to 60 minutes for them to serve the pre-prepared sadhya meal. No complements or appetisers were given for the long wait. The food was really nice and felt like going again, but the wait time was concerning. With this wait time i will definitely reconsider my thoughts. Its not just about food, its also the hospitality.

Tried the Falooda with Kulfi after dinner and it was a lovely way to finish the meal. The combination of textures was enjoyable and the sweetness was well balanced. With such a wide vegetarian menu, there are plenty of dishes to come back and explore.

Tried the Parotta Kurma and really enjoyed it. The parotta was nicely prepared and the kurma had a smooth, well-balanced taste. The portion was filling without feeling too heavy. The staff were also helpful and the service was quite smooth.

We really enjoyed the special Onam sadhya. Everything was really tasty. The puli inji was my favourite! Some points for improvement- please work on the service. We waited more than an hour to get just our drinks. The food too arrived really late. I understand you were understaffed, everyone was clearly working very hard. But waiting 1.5 hours for food was not fun. Staff in a rush dropped food on us twice in one evening. They were running around trying their best but you needed more people. Second,the ambiance. There was loud techno music playing, which was just not the vibe. Everything was very loud, it makes the experience less enjoyable. Third, the chai tasted salty.

Went to the place after such high reviews. The place is nice great decor. We ordered medu vada, tiffin set, chana bhature, amritsari chole kulche, Idli and in the end Kulfi falooda. For the drinks - Mango lassi, buttermilk and filter coffee. The soutg indian food was great but I was disappointed with the north indian food. The bhatura was a bit overdone and chana was not that tasty and the same for amritsari chole kulcha. The ghee podi, idli and tiffin box was all great. The drinks were nice. I would not recommend ordering north indian food as it was far from the taste of North India.

Ordered here a few times, and dined in one time. Very good curries and thali! Haven’t tried the dosa yet but they looked amazing. A very good selection of Indian street food on the chaat menu, but would be great if they could provide a short description of them, because as a Dutch person I had no idea what I was looking at haha.

Lovely place, food is always good, relatively fast, not too pricey and authentic. Make sure you have English at your disposal as staff is mostly speaking in English. Have always loved coming here... Can't wait for the next time.

Went here with my friends. One of them recommended this place because of her good experience at The Hague location. We really enjoyed the okra curry, naan variations and dosa. Awesome to see so many people liking this place and that it’s vegetarian. I’m definitely coming back!

We dined at Krishna Vilas on a Saturday evening. Friendly service (all conversation in English) and delicious dishes. For starters, we had ‘kuzhi panyaram’ (a type of little pancakes (in Dutch: poffertjes) with sauces) and bajji-chili (green peppers fried in batter with a tasty sauce), and for the main course, biryani with raita, garlic naan, and a cheese masala dosa. The space is incredibly noisy and conversation was limited, partly due to screaming children. Dishes: superb, service: friendly, ambiance: mediocre.

What a wonderful experience this was. The food tasted incredibly fresh and authentic. The various small dishes on the metal plate offered a lovely variety of flavors. The presentation on the placemats, especially with the peacock feather design, gave the whole experience a charming atmosphere. I will definitely be back here soon. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food.

I personally find the food very good.some improvement point i noticed is for example with dosa the quantity of sambhar is very less. For people who have grown in India its very less. I easily need 3 times the sambhar with each dosa. Taste is good, staff is friendly. One more improvement suggestion: play soft indian romantic music too as it will add stars to the experience...🥰

We loved every single dish, very tasty. Being Dutch, I didn't know I could appreciate spices so much, but it was very flavorful in all the best ways. Restaurant was full on a seemingly average week day too. The stmosphere is alright.

Had a nice meal here! Not 5 stars because the interior isn't exactly atmospheric, we didn't really sit comfortably, and were seated right next to another table even though the room was 80 percent empty. Still, I would come back!

They call rice mixed with frozen mix veggies as biryani. The dosas are served soggy! When complained, the response was cold. Not great customer service at all. What a waste of money!

Loved dosa sambar and Kadla curry .same taste as we have in India

Last week we ordered Ghee roasted masala dosa, Mysore masala dosa & cheese masala dosa. Masala is okay but the worse part was Sambar & Chatni. Sambar is just like a spicy thick dal, no sweetness or Tamarind was absolutely missing., All 4 chatneys they provided was absolute tasteless only strong garlic smell.

It's so nice when you can just eat everything as a vegetarian! Delicious paneer 65! And fast service...the only downside is the ambiance...a bit of a canteen feel...but the food actually makes up for it completely!

We really love this restaurant—it’s one of our favorite spots for both lunch and dinner. They serve authentic South Indian cuisine, along with a good variety of North Indian dishes. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious, and the staff are friendly and courteous. There’s also a small stall at the entrance where you can pick up sweets and snacks. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends and holidays.

The food is delicious, but the atmosphere isn't anything to write home about. Otherwise, everything is reasonably affordable, although I had to wait quite a long time for the food. In terms of value for money, I would certainly eat there again.

The perfect meal for any occasion.. It’s always the first place I take my guests & the first place they want to come back to. Speedy, reasonably priced & also decent outdoor seating! It has been great to see them innovate over the years & continuously improving

The drinks are all so delicious, the lemonade, the mango lassi, the beer!! I haven't even eaten yet btw. After eating, I find it a shame that I can't give 6 stars. This is really boom delicious

I have come to this restaurant so many times. Food always used to be good in taste and in quantity as well. This time wanted to see the new menu...Highly disappointed with the quantity. Idiyappam given was so little and completely flat, chapattis were so small. Not filling at all !! The quantity didn't give justice to the price at all. Won't be coming here anymore.felt like we are being looted for the money.

I used to LOVE it here. I would take everyone here because the menu is really varied and everything on the menu is really good. The service is quite slow but the food makes up for it. I stopped coming myself because they took the best vegan dish off the menu (the mushroom masala) 💔. I would order it every time and the whole table would be jealous they didn't order it themselves. Please bring it back, it is probably the most underrated dish on the menu!!

I am a big fan of South Indian food Of vegetarian Indian food in general. Krishna Vilas did not disappoint. We had a very decent potato puri. I rarely eat puri as I find in Europe they are often not up to standard. I had my favorite paper dosa, the chutneys were super fresh and flavourful. I accompanied this with very tasty aloo jeera (potato w cumin). So often the true taste of India is watered down diminished and too mild in NL & UK. Krishna Vilas knocked it out of the park!

Absolutely amazing food but they are so slow with the service… I’ve been there several times and in all of them the food was late, but last one was extremely late, we didn’t get our appetizers even after 90 mins while others before us got served. Nobody even checked the empty table until we asked. You should really work on improving the service because it’s such a shame for the amazing food.

This is my boyfriend and I's favorite restaurant. The service is fast, the food is delicious (and completely vegetarian), and it's not too expensive. We're not Indian, but we've been to India for a long time. We find the food very similar to Indian food!

We celebrated my son’s birthday party for 70+ attendees. The menu was customized based on our requirements, decoration was allowed & the hospitality was excellent. Food was really tasty & was served hot to each of us. Ample time was given for celebrations. Special applauds for the restaurant manager 👍🏻. Happy with the service’s & flexibility.

Too bad I dont have photos of what we had ordered! We got pani puris, a plain sweet corn soup, garlic naam with butter paneer and masala chai. After enduring the craving for Indian food for too long while on our trip, I’m glad we found this place. Everything was good but the paneer dish was easily the best I had eaten.

I had kadhai paneer here. It was so oily and so sweet, nowhere to kadhai paneer. This place is good only for south indian food. Dont waste your money here for north indian food.

Food was nice but we waited too long to be served. We were seated at the terrace and felt like the staffs forgot about us.
