Ordered via Uber Eats. Food never arrived. Called three times, and each time was told it was almost there. Just a shame, I was hungry.

Best Indian food in town for sure. I've order many meals here and it's always delicious, proper Indian food.

Took well over two hours to arrive. Food mediocre. Would not recommend.

Good food, generous portions, and prices comparable to those in Italy. We ate late, at 9:30 PM, and were afraid the kitchen would be closed. Instead, the staff was extremely kind, they didn't rush us, and the dishes were delicious and carefully presented.

With four of us, we had an all-you-can-eat 3-course dinner using a Groupon voucher. We were welcomed very kindly with an Indian appetizer with sauces beforehand. You could order extra from the 3 courses if you wished. We had lamb curry and chicken tandoori, among other things. Everything was well-spiced and the taste was delicious. You received plenty of food, and you could indeed order more. We had Indian ice cream for dessert, and that turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Those 2.5 hours of dining flew by, and meanwhile, the restaurant became pleasantly busy. Definitely recommended!

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, the restaurant is located in Utrecht, I live in Houten myself, and although it took a bit longer, it arrived reasonably on time. Top food, solid 5 stars.

I ordered food at 18:30... and at 21:35 I still hadn't received anything. My workday starts at 5:00, so 21:00 is my normal bedtime. And the only thing I get back from them is "sorry, it was busy". Just imagine if I had been sitting inside your place. Would it have taken you 3 hours to bring my food then too? In any case, I am never going to eat or order food here again.

I like the food, but this is the third time that we have to wait for over 2 hours for the food to arrive without notice. When I called, I got smoesjes about holiday season and unexpected busyness… Why don’t you close your online shop if you can’t keep up with the orders?! This is really bad service.

I've had Indian food before, but not like this one. The menu is full variety and if you feel lost we received help from one of the guys that kindly offered us a good choice, just what we're looking for.

We ate here before a performance at Tivoli. We had a simple main course. Unfortunately, we had to wait an hour for it to be served. The staff were very nonchalant about it. The food was decent. Definitely not recommended.

Well what can I say...an experience NEVER to be repeated. I had made a reservation for a family of 4 - and we allowed ourselves 2.5 hrs for the restaurant as we would be heading to the theatre afterwards - enough time one would think....WRONG. This evening was planned to celebrate both my mothers Birthday and Mothers day, but what a disaster. When we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. The waiter clearly was having an off day as he was extremely non-communicative and short in his responses. We ordered starters and mains - starters came after 30 mins (was okay and relaxed) - in the mean time the restraunt was getting filled up… We waitied patiently, only to see in the next 45 mins everyone was served with main meals except ourselves - when asking the staff for some clarification we got these reasons 1 - because we had ordered starters??? (How is this a reason?) 2 - take-away-staff was too busy WHAT?! Absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable! No updates nor communication in between the 70 minute wait!! It was clear that we were not getting any more food as there was no progress re our order. We made it clear we were not happy. Constant response “its on its way”. I guess from Bombay as still nothing… We were forced to ask for the bill as we had less than 45 minutes to get food and the show... This did not went smooth either. Eventually after raising our voices on many occassions we got the bill for the minimal starters and left. NEVER AGAIN AND NOT RECOMMENDED...UNLESS YOU HAVE OODLES OF TIME AND GO IN NOT HUNGRY!!

We have eaten here several times and it has always been a delight. It is opposite Tivoli, so it is ideal if you need to be at the theater on time. This time we opted for the 4-course vegetarian menu (soup, main course, dessert, coffee) and mentioned that we had time at 1 o'clock. But after the soup, we had to wait three quarters of an hour for the main course. The wait staff kept saying that our food was arriving soon. So we had to eat in a hurry and skipped dessert and coffee. As compensation, we received a free drink, but no real apology. Better luck next time! Because it is a lovely place!

A really delicious experience-- would highly recommend for Americans visiting because it's different from most Indian restaurants in the USA (the dishes were just as flavorful--if not more-- without using nearly as much oil). We opted for the Namaskar special, and we loved it. You'll get a wide range of dishes to try, and you'll leave very full. Our waiter was so kind--he is the son of the owner and was able to explain every dish. Even though he was very busy, he was so friendly and happy to chat. It was the most memorable meal we had in the Netherlands.

To be honest, I am very disappointed with this order via Thuisbezorgd. This has little to do with authentic Indian food. The flavors are completely off. The saag paneer was bland and tasteless, lacking the typical spicy depth you would expect. The biryani looked more like simple fried rice with chicken, lacking the characteristic aroma, spices, and texture of real biryani. The naan was dry, hard, and even partially burnt. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant. Perhaps it would be a good idea for the owners to eat at a good Indian restaurant themselves to understand how the dishes are supposed to taste. For me, this was a major letdown.

We have been here before, and every time the Naan made us happy. Fluffy and crunchy at the same time. We had Achari Lamb butter chicken this time. But it actually doesn't matter what you order. Everything is delicious. And why do you know that? Because of that Naan. The food here is cooked, grilled, and baked with love. And it is always busy. That's not for nothing.

I sat waiting for 2 hours, while Uber indicated it would take 30 minutes. After I called after an hour, the restaurant said it would arrive in fifteen minutes, but I ended up waiting another hour. The dishes arrived cold/lukewarm and were not as advertised. The saag paneer contained no paneer, only chickpeas (which are not tasty). The lentil soup contained no lentils, but garden peas. The papadum arrived in 100 pieces and the naan was tough. Truly unbelievable.

Delicious food! It just takes a while to arrive, but that's understandable considering how busy it is. The staff is friendly.

I went there few weeks ago.I had a groupon for this place and I was hoping it would be good.Unfortunately as with many discounted places( not all) I felt they were prioritizing other tables over me.At one point both of the waiters( two middle aged indian men) were staring at me from the kitchen area and I felt really uncomfortable and unwelcomed.They were staring because the restaurant was getting full and they wanted me to leave to have a table for undiscounted customers.They just couldn't verbalize that openly for obvious reasons.I liked the nread with chips texture and the other bread alot but the rest of the food was just okay.When the waiter brought me a salad I was quite disappointed( it had olives and leafs from a daffodil I think) and I don't eat neither.If he had told me that beforehand he would've saved both money and time for the himself and myself too.I had to cherry pick through that salad the edible parts.I liked the mango lassi too but I think was scammed.Maybe not purposefully but that's besides the point.You were supposed to pay attention to what your customers ate ordering.So I had 2mango lassi's and I've paid 9,50 for two glasses but one supposedly costs 4,25e so how I paid more for 2glasses.I think that the waiters thought I had three.One waiter I think he was bald asked me to pack my bread to go.I would've usually thought that it was nice of him to ask but in this case where the waiters looked at me several times( because they wanted me to leave to have a table for other customers) I felt not so great.I also wanted to add that the groupon said 2,5h and I stayed there around an 1h of unlimited food and they didn't offer unlimited food just few dishes and then when the restaurant became full they couldn't wait for me to leave.Also at one point one of the waiters passed near me( at that time the restaurant wasn't as packed with people as later) he saw me in his peripheral vision and he just ignored me.I had to wait quite a while to order one more mango lassi because the waiters were definately prioritizing people without a groupon.I felt so bad that I didn't come back not even to ask about the 2mango lassi's price nor to order new food.If the restaurant ( service) was nicer I would've come back.Also the waiter asked me only at the beginning what kind of food I wanted.Later he didn't ask me at all.I asked him for a dessert.He didn't offer me any options.He just brought me a dessert without giving me options so that I could at least pick what I wanted.Very disappointing experience.

Edit: After contacting Dey, he really resolved the issue. We ordered from Namaskar again and have full confidence in them. The naans were soft and fresh, just like we're used to, and the curry was delicious! Dey & team, thank you so much. We will definitely be back, and I'm looking forward to having the food delivered to my home and also visiting the restaurant. This is my go-to place for good Indian food in Utrecht. This time I ordered here again at 6:13 PM, and now, more than two hours later, at 8:30 PM, I still haven't received any food. If I'm to believe the people on the phone, the gentleman has been driving to us for an hour. It's only a 10-minute bike ride, let alone how quickly they should be there by car. I'm terribly disappointed and hungry. I hope to receive my food hot as soon as possible, otherwise I will absolutely never, ever order from here again. Such a shame.

I went out to celebrate with a friend and it was fantastic. We took a preset menu (€73) and the food was great! We had an alteration of one of the dishes to make it a bit more spicy, and it was absolutely no problem! We had a great server and he was fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable, but we did have an encounter with the table next to us which made us wonder. A other server was just straight up rude to an older couple, and pretty unnescarry.That being said, I will gladly be back to have more of their delicious food!

The service was fantastic, with excellent customer service and thoughtful suggestions. It's been a long time since I've seen this in a restaurant, which is wonderful. I'm here for my studies, and I'll try to come every month.

Had a great meal at this old, familiar spot. It's small, but very cozy. It's not noisy inside, so you can have a quiet conversation. I found the service stiff and not very friendly. Furthermore, this restaurant has remained very affordable.

Delivery TWO HOURS after ordering. On the website, I could choose between 8:00 PM or "as soon as possible." We were hungry, so we chose "as soon as possible." It was 7:50. After three calls, the first time being told the delivery driver was on his way, while a subsequent call revealed he wasn't (we live a five-minute moped ride from the restaurant), we didn't get our food until NINE. NEVER again, Namaskar.

Had dinner at Namaskar yesterday. I've eaten at Namaskar several times now. I first went with colleagues over 30 (!) years ago, and I've been back every time I've eaten in Utrecht. Delicious curry, nice atmosphere, and friendly service. We also used the delivery service once, which was also great. Top-notch restaurant. We'd love to come back.

It was okay. Very tasty naan, and good mango lassi. The tomato curry was delicious, but the spinach curry was bland and tasted like frozen spinach. The onion bhaji was dry. We waited an hour and a half for our main course, while large quantities of takeout were constantly being sent out. It was fine for us. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

Nostalgic? Sure. But the food and service don't deserve any stars... long waits, and above all, it's fun for the Dutch. But for those who know what "real" Indian food is, this is just awful. They should close down as far as I'm concerned! Tip: Walk a bit further, Annavillaas or Vegnation is of better quality and tastier... and the service there is excellent!

Absolutely not recommended. Rude and even antisocial staff. We dined here with six people, but there was poor communication beforehand, and afterward, we were treated extremely aggressively, even though they were making mistakes among themselves. We also had to wait an hour and a half for our main course. We just got fries on the way back, never again!

The order was: Chicken masala (which was very sweet), yellow rice, naan bread, and vegetable samosas (which I didn't like). The prices were reasonable.

We ordered online at Namaskar and were given an expected delivery time of 35-55 minutes. After waiting for an hour, we decided to call to check — no answer. We kept trying, but without success. At one point, we even started to doubt whether the restaurant was even open. Unfortunately, the Google reviews confirmed that this is not an exception: long delivery times seem to be the rule rather than the exception here. In the end, our food was delivered after 2.5 hours (!). Fortunately, the food itself was very tasty and the portions were generous — hence an extra star. We hope Namaskar can do something with this feedback. Even on busy evenings, it is important to deploy sufficient staff, answer the phone or (temporarily) not accept online orders. This way, the quality of the service continues to match the quality of the food.

I ordered food via delivery and it didn't arrive on time. Unfortunately, they didn't return my calls or explain the reason for the delay. Very bad experience.

The delivery driver had a scarf or something similar over his face (it's 26 degrees Celsius), so I could only see his eyes. I feel very uncomfortable and unsafe with that. Keeping your hood up is one thing, but I want to be able to see your face. I need to know who's at my door, right? This time, the food was on time and delicious! :)

What fantastic service, as we only had 30 minutes between two bands. It wasn't ready, but thanks to the quick response from the staff, we were able to sit down and get our food as quickly as possible. We were also able to enjoy it there. The food tasted great and we had the vegetarian menu for two.

Ordered food, it said it would take 40 minutes. Ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes for delivery. Called Namaskar multiple times, and we got answers that were not honest and correct. Once the food arrived, the naan bread was soggy, old and burnt. The curries had chunks of meat and little flavor. We will never order again.

Was drawn in by alluring smells and my expectations were surpassed! We had the paneer saag and saag dahl, also served with complimentary rice, naan, and poppadum. All were delicious and arrived incredibly quickly — which was just what we wanted. The service was lovely and attentive, also easy communication (we spoke English). Despite trepidation about location and sitting outside we found that this did not mark the experience at all and the road traffic drifted into nonexistence as we tucked in to our fantastic spread. Absolutely tasteful & 5☆ worthy! I've visited many Indian restaurants all over the world and Namaskar surprised with large portions of delicious flavoured dishes. Stunning prices for that quality. Ordered on January 5, 2024. Delivery was supposed to be within 25-45 minutes, but it ended up being over two hours. The phone wasn't answered. The food arrived: raw onion with the paneer and a completely charred naan. Inedible. And you pay so much for that. Shameless.

We have mostly ordered via Uber Eats and I can pleasantly say that they have continued to keep up with their quality of food. The delivery has become a bit delayed lately but food has been good every time. Great job! 😊 One input would be that the lamb needs to be a bit more cooked in the bhuna dishes. But overall, very very good. Recommend!

First time waited TWO HOURS for my order to arrive. Decided to give it another try. Waited TWO AND A HALF hours. A year later I forgot how horrible this restaurant is and tried again. TWO HOURS waiting. Can't believe that Thuisbezorgd is still doing business with these charlatans.
