I went out to celebrate with a friend and it was fantastic. We took a preset menu (€73) and the food was great! We had an alteration of one of the dishes to make it a bit more spicy, and it was absolutely no problem! We had a great server and he was fantastic and very friendly and knowledgeable, but we did have an encounter with the table next to us which made us wonder. A other server was just straight up rude to an older couple, and pretty unnescarry.That being said, I will gladly be back to have more of their delicious food!

The best Indian food that I have eaten in the Netherlands. The service could have been quicker, but the food more than made up for it. It's quite far for us to come, but we'll definitely be back. Thank you for an outstanding meal.

Had a great meal at this old, familiar spot. It's small, but very cozy. It's not noisy inside, so you can have a quiet conversation. I found the service stiff and not very friendly. Furthermore, this restaurant has remained very affordable.

It took 2 hours and 45 minutes for the food to arrive. Once it did, it was delicious. Unfortunately, dessert wasn't included. Tip for the restaurant: if it's busy, don't take any more orders.

Delivery TWO HOURS after ordering. On the website, I could choose between 8:00 PM or "as soon as possible." We were hungry, so we chose "as soon as possible." It was 7:50. After three calls, the first time being told the delivery driver was on his way, while a subsequent call revealed he wasn't (we live a five-minute moped ride from the restaurant), we didn't get our food until NINE. NEVER again, Namaskar.

Had dinner at Namaskar yesterday. I've eaten at Namaskar several times now. I first went with colleagues over 30 (!) years ago, and I've been back every time I've eaten in Utrecht. Delicious curry, nice atmosphere, and friendly service. We also used the delivery service once, which was also great. Top-notch restaurant. We'd love to come back.

Very limited selection if you choose all-you-can-eat. Just a few basic dishes. It was tasty, though.

Nostalgic? Sure. But the food and service don't deserve any stars... long waits, and above all, it's fun for the Dutch. But for those who know what "real" Indian food is, this is just awful. They should close down as far as I'm concerned! Tip: Walk a bit further, Annavillaas or Vegnation is of better quality and tastier... and the service there is excellent!

It was okay. Very tasty naan, and good mango lassi. The tomato curry was delicious, but the spinach curry was bland and tasted like frozen spinach. The onion bhaji was dry. We waited an hour and a half for our main course, while large quantities of takeout were constantly being sent out. It was fine for us. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

Absolutely not recommended. Rude and even antisocial staff. We dined here with six people, but there was poor communication beforehand, and afterward, we were treated extremely aggressively, even though they were making mistakes among themselves. We also had to wait an hour and a half for our main course. We just got fries on the way back, never again!

The food was truly delicious! It's just a shame I spent the whole night and the next day in the bathroom. I suspect food poisoning, unfortunately...

The order was: Chicken masala (which was very sweet), yellow rice, naan bread, and vegetable samosas (which I didn't like). The prices were reasonable.

We ordered online at Namaskar and were given an expected delivery time of 35-55 minutes. After waiting for an hour, we decided to call to check — no answer. We kept trying, but without success. At one point, we even started to doubt whether the restaurant was even open. Unfortunately, the Google reviews confirmed that this is not an exception: long delivery times seem to be the rule rather than the exception here. In the end, our food was delivered after 2.5 hours (!). Fortunately, the food itself was very tasty and the portions were generous — hence an extra star. We hope Namaskar can do something with this feedback. Even on busy evenings, it is important to deploy sufficient staff, answer the phone or (temporarily) not accept online orders. This way, the quality of the service continues to match the quality of the food.

I ordered food via delivery and it didn't arrive on time. Unfortunately, they didn't return my calls or explain the reason for the delay. Very bad experience.

The delivery driver had a scarf or something similar over his face (it's 26 degrees Celsius), so I could only see his eyes. I feel very uncomfortable and unsafe with that. Keeping your hood up is one thing, but I want to be able to see your face. I need to know who's at my door, right? This time, the food was on time and delicious! :)

What fantastic service, as we only had 30 minutes between two bands. It wasn't ready, but thanks to the quick response from the staff, we were able to sit down and get our food as quickly as possible. We were also able to enjoy it there. The food tasted great and we had the vegetarian menu for two.

Ordered food, it said it would take 40 minutes. Ended up waiting 2 hours and 45 minutes for delivery. Called Namaskar multiple times, and we got answers that were not honest and correct. Once the food arrived, the naan bread was soggy, old and burnt. The curries had chunks of meat and little flavor. We will never order again.

Was drawn in by alluring smells and my expectations were surpassed! We had the paneer saag and saag dahl, also served with complimentary rice, naan, and poppadum. All were delicious and arrived incredibly quickly — which was just what we wanted. The service was lovely and attentive, also easy communication (we spoke English). Despite trepidation about location and sitting outside we found that this did not mark the experience at all and the road traffic drifted into nonexistence as we tucked in to our fantastic spread. Absolutely tasteful & 5☆ worthy! I've visited many Indian restaurants all over the world and Namaskar surprised with large portions of delicious flavoured dishes. Stunning prices for that quality. The madras is amazing and exactly served as ordered in terms of spiciness. Good job! Nice service. Would definitely recommend.

It was my first time eating Indian food, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. We chose the five-course menu for two, including dessert, which was also delicious. I highly recommend it.

We got chicken tandoori that completely burnt. It was totaaly black. How do thbey have the guts to serve this? Also, there was a shortage of staff, a lot of customers were complaining. It was a total chaos. Never come back here again.

Ordered on January 5, 2024. Delivery was supposed to be within 25-45 minutes, but it ended up being over two hours. The phone wasn't answered. The food arrived: raw onion with the paneer and a completely charred naan. Inedible. And you pay so much for that. Shameless.

We have mostly ordered via Uber Eats and I can pleasantly say that they have continued to keep up with their quality of food. The delivery has become a bit delayed lately but food has been good every time. Great job! 😊 One input would be that the lamb needs to be a bit more cooked in the bhuna dishes. But overall, very very good. Recommend!

First time waited TWO HOURS for my order to arrive. Decided to give it another try. Waited TWO AND A HALF hours. A year later I forgot how horrible this restaurant is and tried again. TWO HOURS waiting. Can't believe that Thuisbezorgd is still doing business with these charlatans.

After the response to this review, we contacted by email and were able to resolve the issue together! Very friendly and fast contact. Glad it was resolved this way. Had the same problems as the others. Ordered and finally arrived almost 2 hours later. Called 10 times and just pushed away the first 5 times. Then finally answered and indicated that they were not in control of their kitchen. They were almost ready and delivered it 15 minutes later. That took 45 minutes and the order was also incomplete and the quality of the food was really subpar, cold. Never had these problems with them before. Not very professional, just don't accept orders on the weekend...

I often eat Indian food, this was the worst ever. Spinach with lamb was spinach from igloo and you had to look for the lamb. And it's true that delivery people are constantly coming in and out, which does not improve the atmosphere.

We had to go to a concert across the street and got into the restaurant quite a bit late. We thought this would work! There were quite a few people inside, which was ultimately the reason we chose to go in, but afterwards it turned out that there were a bit too few staff present that day and that they were a bit behind in the kitchen. Unfortunately we didn't get our food on time, but our friends, there were four of us, stayed seated and brought our food for us afterwards. The employees were really super friendly and tried to take us into account, but unfortunately that's how it turned out. Once home after the concert we finally got to taste their food and we were so pleasantly surprised! It was really delicious! I would definitely go there again, but next time I would start a little earlier.

I had dinner here with some colleagues this week. We all enjoyed Indian food here and had a great time together. Some of us had never eaten Indian before, and we also liked the taste. The food was prepared to our liking, our dietary requirements were taken into account. Highly recommended if you like Indian. Until next time Namaskar!!!

Delicious food, but unfortunately we had to eat it in 15 minutes. We were told several times that we had to leave on time and had to wait for our food despite arriving early at 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM. The response was that we should have gotten angry sooner. Shame.

I think I had dinner in Utrecht about 28 years ago and it was delicious and I ordered it in De Meern and it was still just as delicious. Definitely come here again.

Ordered manchurian and a meal for 1 person from food delivery app. Food tasted pathetic, not at all Indian flavor. Manchurian was so spicy with no taste other than red chilli. Lamb curry did not have even a single piece of lamb rather filled with capsicum and pineapple. Dal palak was not cooked properly with no salt. Aloo matar was so basic even if you cook at home blindfolded, you can make it better. Roti was a pizza base burnt from one side. Had to throw all the food in dustbin . Never ordering or going again to this restaurant this was the first and last try.

The food was great, the owner was nice but one of the waiters was very rude, he told us we couldn’t put our bottle on the table because “it doesn’t suit the restaurant” and that we had to keep it on the floor. Never have I experienced anything like this before -even in 5 star restaurants and hotels. I would leave a more negative review but the owner corrected the mistake of the waiter and was very polite. Food was great too.

Ate here a few days ago. We ordered some starters, a lamb rogan josh and a curry with paneer. The food is fine, only the rogan josh was supposed to be medium spicy, and was actually not spicy at all. Everything else tasted good, portions could be a little bigger. Not the best Indian food ever, but more than adequate. I still give two stars because of the very poor service. The waiters are not friendly, do not ask if the food tastes good, or if they can do anything for you, the dishes were placed quite rudely on the edge of the table and we had to take them ourselves, all with an unfriendly look. We also had to ask several times for new drinks. Then almost 90 euros for a few starters and two meals is quite a lot of money, if you are served so stupidly. The staff is simply not customer friendly at all and they did not even look back upon departure. No goodbye or have a nice evening. Very bad service. A shame, because the food is otherwise excellent. That's why I give everyone a tip: order takeaway here and eat it at home!

After a day in Utrecht we were really looking forward to some delicious Indian food. After looking at Tripadvisor we arrived at Namaskar. Here we ordered the 4-course Indian rice table for 2 people. First we got the Muligatawany soup. This was an Indian curry soup. Not a thick soup, but great in taste. It should have tasted more like Curry. Next came the Onion Bhajee and Samosa. Onion Bhajee are baking balls of onion with pea flour, peppers, potatoes, lentil paste and fresh herbs. Samosa is a deep fried triangle patty with medium spiced vegetables. After this course, the rice table followed with various curries, rice and 2 naans. We also ordered the new Spicy Cheese naan. Well, we knew that. It was extremely hot. 🥵 With the other dishes on the rice table, we noticed that the curry was not spicy. We were also not asked if we liked spicy. Also the chicken was very dry. Shame. It was just not at all compared to previous Indian restaurants we have been to. After we finished eating we got desserts. You could choose between 2 desserts, so we took one of each. Namely an 'R. Laddoo'. A special dessert from Indian cuisine including nuts and pistachio. The other dessert was a 'Kheer'. Special Indian Rice Pudding. Both were tasty. After this we finished our meal and lost 90 euros (including tip).

Food is ok .. though not authentic Indian test But staff behavior not good .. feels like you are not welcomed. I would not recommend this restaurant specifically to fellow Indians
