Long waiting time (1 hr) and the pasta is average. At least was my experience.

A cozy restaurant with excellent fresh pasta. I found it while searching for good pasta in Amsterdam, but I didn’t expect it to be that good. It’s a small and very simple restaurant, with 6-7 tables that can sit 2-3 people max. The menu has 8 options for pasta, 2 for salad, one dessert (tiramisu of course), a few soft drinks and water. And a 0% beer if I remember correctly. That’s it. And you need to order and pay at the counter, no waiters or staff, just the Italian chef. So don’t go expecting to find luxury or anything like that, you won’t. But you’ll find dishes of fresh pasta that are excellent in their simplicity. My only complaint is that the portions could have been a bit bigger for the prices and the bread a bit more.. Other than that, it was like eating pasta in Italy. Bravo.

Awesome place for an authentic experience and great Italian pasta

I found this place online when looking for a good place to eat in Amsterdam away from all the tourist traps. I had the Tagliatelle al Ragu di Agnello and it was mouthwatering. Fabio (the owner) is in charge of serving and preparing the food and he did a fantastic job. It's a smaller location, and the selection of food is pretty small, but it was good.

It's a small place, with only a few tables and a small simple menu. However, the food is delicious and tastes really authentic. There's no service - you order at the counter when the owner has a minute between the cooking ( however this only adds to the homely atmosphere of this lovely little place).

The dishes are simple, 100% homemade, and ridiculously delicious.

we tried apple ravioli with butter and arabiata and they were really delicious specially the ravioli! definitely would go again to try different things from the menu, tiramisu was good also.

Finally, we're eating authentic Italian food. Excellent quality, excellent preparation, just like in Italy.

Very tasty Ravioli di Zucca, the one with lemon is also delicious! Tiramisu is flawless! The gentleman is very attentive and polite, I highly recommend !

A hidden gem in the middle of the Pijp. The selective menu has everything you need, and the freshly prepared pastas bring a piece of Italy to Amsterdam. The solo chef and owner is one of the friendliest and hardworking people in Amsterdam, and deserves all the praise for the gem of a place he is creating here.

One of the best tortellini I had...everything was homemade, it was so delicious. The tiramisu was the cherry on the cake.

Simply the best Ragu I have ever had. It’s just one man doing it all so if you want a very chilled, quiet meal with not much fuss, this is the best place to go in Amsterdam.

The only bad thing to say is that I won't have the opportunity to come back, at least not anytime soon. The food is very simple, but as fresh as can be and done perfectly. I can appreciate when I don't see tons of items on the menu. To me, that says that the chef has chosen to these items well, and that is exactly what you get.

Delicious food in this nice intimate Italian restaurant. The owner stands behind the stove to cook himself with fresh, honest products. Great to watch him work and fantastic to eat. The three of us had a great time.

We went there for pasta and we got excellent pasta. It was al dente with subtle and delicious flavours.

Wonderful! As others have said, the guy is a sole proprietor in the truest sense. It’s like having your soft-spoken, brilliant Italian friend cook for you in his (professional grade) kitchen. The ingredients were all so fresh I forgot to take proper photos. Rucola salad is a full plate with flakes of cheese and the pasta is thick and hearty with sauce and meat flavors. He made our 3 full dishes in a short time, so we experienced no wait concerns, although I imagine with more parties there might be a wait. Lekker!

The chef should hire someone else; he runs everything himself and is too busy to provide good service. Our food took an inordinate amount of time to come, and we both feel slightly sick in our stomachs after. If you have extra time to kill then maybe consider it

A small little restaurant by one Italian man. Great handmade pasta. A bit on the saltier side, but still good!

This is a small restaurant with a short menu. This is a good sign for freshness of food, and it really is. The pasta's on menu are all self-made, by the same person that cooks and serves the customers. I had Papardelle al'Amatriciana and this might be the best one I've eaten. Followed by a Tiramisu that was not trying to make a dent in my stomach, really light and creamy. Before you go there, 2 remarks: 1) this is not an ultraromantic place but the pasta is delicious and 2) your pasta will not be accompanied by an Italian wine, the place doesn't serve alcohol. But the pasta is delicous ! :D

Delicious freshly made pasta dishes that you can eat with your fingers. The tiramisu was divine, even my husband (who doesn't like tiramisu) ate it to the bottom. Very friendly owner who cooks everything himself in an open kitchen so you can see how he prepares his dishes. We will definitely come back when we are in Amsterdam again!

Unfortunately, I forgot to take photos of the food, but it was delightful. We enjoyed an insalata, two plates of pasta, and a tiramisu. The rucola pomodoro salad was fresh and light. For pasta, we chowed down a ravioli al limone and a spaghetti arrabbiata. Both dishes were rich and flavorful. Personally, I preferred the spaghetti because the chef didn’t hold back on the chili. As for dessert, there’s only one option—the heavenly tiramisu. A second visit is definitely a must.

Small but nice card. Homemade pasta... The restaurant is something very special. The kitchen and dining room are only separated by a counter and you can watch the cooking live. The furnishings are simple, but the ambience is harmonious. The focus is on the truly delicious food. Clear recommendation

A small menu, an incredibly pleasant and friendly owner who greets guests and cooks. We arrived quite late at 9 in the evening, but aside from us, there was no one, and it didn't give a cozy impression. Nevertheless, the ravioli turned out to be excellent. However, it seems more like a place for a quick bite than a cozy evening.

Hidden gem near the Amsterdam city center. Every dish was delicious. If you like the orange flavor, you should try the 'Ravioli di Arancio' dish! Really liked the tiramisu as well. Would definitely visit again 😁

Dined in and at first we were the only ones there, but after about 30 minutes, it filled up. The food was fresh and amazing. I had the Ravioli de Mila and my partner had the Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragu. The pasta was freshly made and you could absolutely taste it. Authentic Italian food made by Authentic Italians in an Italian atmosphere. It doesn’t get more Italian than that!

For that mediocre pasta poor on ingredients and super tiny portions you can’t charge that much. Also you can’t turn the grinder on and make noise when customers sit next to you.

The food is super delicious. You can tell that it is a very authentic Italian restaurant. The restaurant is very simply furnished. The price-performance ratio is top. You place your order with the owner and the owner brings the food to the table. I can only recommend the restaurant, it is simply great and I would come back again and again.

Our favourite meal in Amsterdam by far when we went in mid December, such a nice and cosy feel to the place that is nicely lit and furnished. The pappardelle and tagliatelle were delicious, I loved the unique combination of flavours (especially the use of olives) in the tagliatelle that tasted rich yet balanced. The tiramisu was also quite yummy, so much so that we got two!

Honestly the food here was insane. So fresh and tasty. Everything was unreal, could not recommend enough. Price is fair & one of the best Italians I've ever had came from London 10/10

Kwaliteit van het eten is heel erg goed! Vriendelijke eigenaar die alles met verse ingrediënten ter plekke maakt. Ga hier dus ook heen voor de kwaliteit van het eten en niet voor de restaurant ervaring. Wij komen hier in ieder geval zeker terug!

Very unique experience. This is a 1-person restaurant and he'll be busy cooking so make sure you are not in a rush. The food was delicious and we will definitely come back! The Tiramisu was literally the best Tiramisu I have ever had, by a big margin.

Petit restaurant typique italien. Le propriétaire est seul dans le restaurant, il fait le service et la cuisine. Nous avions pris les pâtes au ragu d’agneau et ravioli au citron Tout est fait maison et cela se goûte, c’était délicieux. Il faut commander au comptoir, mais il vous apporte les assiettes.

I came here four days in a row and have tried most of the raviolis. A fantastic, unassuming Italian restaurant. All the ingredients are high quality and pasta is very fresh. I’m not normally a fan of tiramisu but enjoyed this one, worthy ordering. Highly recommend.

Very small menu. I ordered the lamb Ragu which was tasty but it didn't really have any lamb in it...a single man running the place. Good authentic pasta however service was extremely slow and kind of expensive for the experience. Everything is ordered at the counter and self-service for napkins cups Etc . If he wants to be more successful he really needs some help.
