Very nice discovery....very good Italian restaurant, quality, freshness, a real Italian menu....with top-notch welcome and service. They were lovely with our three year old...what more could you ask for. Not to be missed!!

The dinner meal was lovely. The food was fresh. The grilled octopus starter in particular was tender and delicious. Would certainly return again and enjoy another delicious meal out.

Really nice italian food! The ravioli with spinach and sage was amazing, and the tiramisu was also really good! The people are very friendly and it was not too busy :)

Eaten here several times. The food is fantastic and the service is friendly. The restaurant has a homely atmosphere. One of my favorite places in Amsterdam, highly recommended!!

An Italian family, who’s Mom was from Italy, looking for an authentic Italian restaurant - this is your place to go! The pasta was full of flavour and egg plant parmesean was cooked to perfection. Would definitely return again!

Heerlijk eten en vriendelijke bediening. Prettige ambiance. De achtergrondmuziek is ook werkelijk op de achtergrond, zodat je elkaar zonder moeite kunt verstaan.

Fomos comemorar o aniversário da minha sogra e foi nossa primeira vez no restaurante. Amamos tudo desde o começo. O chef Giovane merece cinco estrelas pelos pratos super saborosos, nós comemos um antepasto de entrada e o pãozinho que acompanha foi o melhor que já provei na vida. A Ana que trabalha na equipe é super atenciosa, educada e receptiva. Pedimos uma indicação de vinho e o Salvatore foi preciso na escolha, além de muito atencioso e educado. Enfim, recomendo muito, um ambiente super agradável. Com certeza voltaremos!!!!!

Voedsel was fantastisch, wijn lokte extra glas na glas uit, leuk gesprek met andere gasten half in Spaans half Italiaans. Ik aarzelde een beetje om het gerecht van de dag te nemen dat door de eigenaar werd voorgesteld. Uiteindelijk nam ik een voorgerecht en hoofdgerecht. De parmigiana was erg lekker. Het hoofdgerecht was bijna verslavend. Ik raad dit restaurant zeer aan.

Het restaurant geeft een huiselijke sfeer, heerlijk eten. Service ook goed. Wij komen zeker terug

Venant de France et étant de passage à Amsterdam. Malgre l'heure tardive nous avons ete reçu chaleureusement dans ce restaurant italien. La soirée a été très agréable avec une cuisine de qualité.

Gezellig, klein en authentiek Italiaans restaurant in de Watergraafsmeer. Het eten is erg lekker en de bediening is erg vriendelijk. Prima menukaart aangevuld met dagspecialiteiten. Een aanrader...

We visited Il Borgo with friends and had a superb evening - great ambience, friendly team and delicious food & wine - was not planned but was a real gem to find!

Food ok, service terrible. We went there for a dinner on a quiet night. When we arrived only 2 tables had guests. Menu offers almost no vegetarian choices. It is mainly fish and meat. Even though we were only the third customer table it took over half an hour for food to be served. I ordered another wine when food was brought out - it was never served. Server (owner?) never came by our table to ask if we needed anything or even as much as looked at us while serving other tables. Main course was tasty but asparagus was cold (below room temperature), on both plates. One of the deserts tasted like cheap supermarket taart. Espresso was the best part of the dinner. Very expensive place considering the level of service. Sadly, we will not be coming back.

Heerlijk Italiaans eten, met liefde bereidt! Echt Italiaans restaurant (geen pizzeria) je waant je in Italië! Persoonlijke bediening. Vandaag zalige zelfgemaakte ravioli daarna zalige zeebaarsfilet en smaakvolle saltimbocca , top! Dank!

Gutes Essen und auch guter Wein etwas abgelegen von dem hektischen Großstadt getummel. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen und das Essen ist seinen Preis wert hier wird Qualität noch groß geschrieben.

Wat een fantastische ervaring, heerlijk Italiaans gegeten op een mooi, rustig plekje in de Watergraafsmeer. En fijn contact en geadviseerd en bediend door de eigenaar. Dit kan ik zeer aanbevelen!!!

In my opinion the best Italian in Amsterdam. Great food, warm service and would definitely recommend the lasagne. I will be coming back

Klein aber fein. Begrenzte aber gute Auswahl an Gerichten. Alles frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker. Aufmerksamer Service. Preis Leistung stimmt hier absolut. Für mich eine klare Empfehelung.

Secondo me questo è il ristorante italiano migliore qui ad Amsterdam. Abbiamo presi le melanzane, la lasagna, le crespelle alla fiorentina, e la torta di limone. Tutto era buonnisima!

Gezellig restaurant, met huiskamersfeer. Hoewel het helemaal vol was, voelde het rustig aan. Genoeg ruimte, een goede service en heerlijk eten!

In my humble opinion the best italian restaurant at this moment in Amsterdam when it comes to pasta. A cozy restaurant, a hidden gem in the east. Very friendly and nice people. The food is just amazing. The starters are an invite to a culinary journey. The main course is a surprise. The ravioli is just outstanding. While finishing with a very good dessert. Love to come back.

Un pezzo d'Italia ad Amsterdam. VERA cucina italiana, ottimi sapori, chef bravo e preparato. Locale pulito e accogliente.

Nice venue. I went with my two kids and myself. Food is very good and authentic but service tonight was painfully slow. There were only about 4 to 5 tables other than us. We only ordered one antipasti, and one secondi and 2 pasta dishes as main course. The mains took 1.5 hours to appear. By this time, it was very dark outside where we were sitting and getting a little chilly. We asked to sit inside but it seemed they were not happy for us move so we stayed outside. We finished the food in less than 10 min but couldn't really see what we were eating. We had to leave quickly as getting very late by then. If the food was not as good as it was then only 1 star. I know good food takes time, but not this long. I cook a lot myself and eat very often so this is unusual. They could have let us know that food was going to take that long. How long would we have had to wait if they were busy?

Heerlijk eten tegen acceptabele prijs, fijne en vriendelijke bediening. Toch wel 2 verbeterpunten punten. Drankjes heel erg duur en geen karaf water op verzoek.
