Excellent experience at Gianna Homemade Pasta. The Italian couple running the place is extremely friendly and welcoming. They opened this restaurant to honor their grandmother Gianna, and she would certainly be proud—the homemade pasta is outstanding. My daughter even mentioned that it reminded her of her own grandmother's cooking. ​We ordered three different pasta dishes (pesto, ragù, and tomato), and all of them were top-notch. Congratulations to the owners on a great job. If we ever get the chance, we will definitely be back

The pasta here was amazing and extremely reasonable for the high quality. We went as a very big group and received wonderful service from the friendly (and extremely patient) gentleman working there. Thoroughly recommend.

Went in just before they were closing with a large group (12). People working there could not have been more friendly and displayed no agitation towards us despite coming in fairly late, which can understandably be annoying for some people who are just about to close up shop. Food was fire too of course

This was one of the best finds in Amsterdam! Fresh food, excellent ingredients. The gnocchi is wonderful, the tagliatelle too. It's simple but very well executed and worth every penny. The staff was very friendly and that also made us return twice in less than 5 days. Highly recommended for anyone, especially Brazilians, there. Ciao!

A true point of reference for those who want to taste authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Amsterdam.

Our 2 year old wanted spaghetti, and often Italian places can be tough with kids, usually a fancy restaurant with the messiest of food for a kid. This place was exactly what we were looking for - the highest quality pasta without a pretentious darkly-lit attitude. Our boy loved watched the pasta get made, and loved eating it too. Our food was phenomenal, so fresh and delicious. Service was warm and friendly and fast, a perfect dinner for our family.

A nice and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for a stop after Vondelpark. Excellent first courses; I tried the lasagna and tagliatelle with ragù, and it felt like I was eating at home! 🇮🇹

It is a Togo restaurant, it doesn’t have a lot of seats. The pasta is amazing, the dessert is the perfect choice after pasta. When the restaurant put the effort on the dishes, you can see that and also appreciate the handmade taste. Good job to everyone in the store.

An experience that reminded me of beautiful Italy and its flavors, kind and professional Richi and Angelica...try it and believe it!

Regular spot I order from and used to be really nice. Last few months (3 orders now) it’s massively dropped in standards. Very dry, pasta overcooked, meat (ragu) lacking sauce and a little bit tasteless (overcooked). Not sure what’s happened there but hopefully gets back to its original standards.

Very well furnished place with a large counter for preparing fresh pasta in full view. Angelica and Riccardo, the owners, told us about their wonderful idea that they are carrying forward with great passion, commitment and excellent results. For lunch, among the vast selection of fresh pasta and sauces, we chose gnocchi and passatelli, the latter exceptional with guanciale (excellent quality) and cherry tomatoes. The gnocchi with 16-month aged parmesan sauce were also delicious. Great guys, we will come back to visit you as soon as possible!

when texture is everything you go to this place with really excellent gnocchi. In Amsterdam not found its equal yet. most certainly i go back to Gianna for this dish. Btw, the lasagne also very tasty with so many layers, i had the next day as a take away for brunch. i can recommend

The pasta is really deliciously filled (I had ravioli which had a bright green spinach and ricotta fill). The sauce was buttery and sage was flavouring it beautifully. Still an hour later I could taste that original, authentic butter in my mouth! I will come again (eat in).

One of the best tagliatelle pasta i have ever had! I had it with parmigiana sauce. It was freshly made pasta super flavourful. They also had a day special, tomato gratin. Love it! If you want to travel to Italy with your palette give this one a try!

For the pasta, you can choose between filled pasta and different sizes of Italian pasta. You can also choose a sauce of your choice and possibly opt for the delicious extras. The ingredients taste fresh and they only sell ingredients that you can find in Italy.

We ordered from UberEats and to be honest didn't know what to expect but truly one of the best pastas we ever had. Full of flavour and big portions on top of that. Can't wait to go live into the restaurant! Hands down AMAZING PASTA! But a sad Tiramisu, they should take it out of the menu if the make if with slagroom. :)

Superyummy. Everything, including the pasta, is freshly and homemade! Tiramisu also delicious.

Haalde tortelini met parmigiaanse saus. Mooi frisse zaak, prachtig om de kok met lange lappen pasta bezig te zien. Maken het dus echt zelf. Maaltijd was vlot klaar, smaakte thuis uitstekend.

Tasty pasta prepared in few minutes. The staff also super friendly, worth a stop. They have seating inside for some great conversation. Do check them out if you are in the neighbourhood.

Niet heel bijzonder. De ragu is rijk gevuld met vlees maar ik mis groenten en de pesto was smaakloos. De prijs niet waard.

Had my eye on this place for quite a while. Recently they moved to their new spot on Amstelveenseweg and I finally ordered takeout for the first time and it was wonderful. Good portions, a ton of flavour, authentic Italian food combined with a very fast delivery so they earned a permanent spot on my delivery list.
