Gioia Italiana in Wijk 02 Dijkpolder

No photos, but I did pick up some delicious pizza and ate it at home. Delicious!

Gioia Italiana, a traditional Italian restaurant, prepares our dishes authentically using only fresh Italian ingredients. Seriously? Then you put pasta Carbonara on the menu like this: pancetta, cream, egg? The only valid ingredient is the egg. Nothing traditional about it. When ordering a three-course meal, you're told at 6:30 PM that the kitchen closes at 8:45 PM. What's traditionally Italian about quick meals? Antipasto Gioia, various Italian appetizers. Indeed, different. Three types of cured meats and half a plate of olives. It was a culinary delight. If you'd like extra olive oil, luckily the table is served with a trio of extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and chili olive oil from Italiamo, Lidl's own brand. Must be Lidl in Italy, right?

In the street and the best that can be found in the wide area. Reserve for pick up really on time. Always busy.

Delicious food with Italian atmosphere

Food is nothing special for an Italian, starters quite overpriced for what you get.

A simple authentic Italian restaurant with original Italian food. You can eat delicious food there for a small price and sit comfortably!!

The food here is great! The atmosphere is also fine. Not too many tables. But what is a shame is that the outside door remains open (no idea why) which creates an annoying draft through the restaurant. I also find the lack of a coat rack clumsy. It gives the feeling that everyone is just coming to eat quickly with all those coats over the chairs. What is also a shame is that the place closes at 21:30 and they let you know that too. Around that time you are given the feeling that you have to finish "because we are closing". I understand that you don't want to wait until midnight for the last guest to leave, but a little more hospitality would be nice.

5 minutes after opening time, ordered 2 pizzas. Couldn't be picked up until more than 2 hours later? Okay. Pizzas were cold. Unfortunately. Quite tasty pizzas, but this way not an option for a second time.

Just picked up 2 pizzas, the second pizza was one with anchovies, unfortunately the pizza is inedible. It is so terribly salty that I immediately had stomach problems. Called to explain that this is not edible. Unfortunately, the only response I get is, yes, anchovies, that's salt. Sure, I know, but there is a difference between eating salt and eating a salt shaker. Sorry, but this is not possible, it simply cannot be done. Too bad about the service too.,

Altijd heerlijk eten en goede bediening, helaas is de rekening onoverzichtelijk met de hand geschreven en helaas verkeerd opgeteld (uiteraard in ons nadeel). Een beter systeem zou geen overbodige luxe zijn.

Great pizzeria excellent food. It's just a shame that the website is never adjusted to the opening hours. It says "open at 2:00 PM" but in practice it appears that they are regularly closed. Unfortunately I had to observe this several times. Shame.

A really good Italian eatery. Separate chef for the pizzas and one for all other dishes, run by an Italian family from Brindisi. Very friendly atmosphere and excellent food at pre-Corona prices. Make a reservation.

Knus, klein restaurantje met 7 tafels in het centrum van Maassluis. Zijn spontaan naar binnen gelopen en we konden gelukkig terecht aan een tafel voor 2. Naast dat je ter plaatse kan eten kan je aan de balie ook vers klaar gemaakte gerechten bestellen en afhalen. De prijzen zijn naar kwaliteit wat goed is. Zeker aanrader.

The food is always delicious and truly Italian. Not those thick American pizzas, but really nice and thin and crispy and well topped. It is only busy with orders during the weekend, so order early.

A tiny Italian restaurant and take-away off the beaten-track serving excellent freshly made pizza and pasta dishes. Small and plain, it's not a place for a intimate evening but it is a bit special. My pizza was wonderfully thin and crispy, but my wife's pasta had very little of the meat it was supposed to have (ossenhaas) and the truffle was non-existent. That said, the home-made tiramisu is to die for - save space for it!

Parking is a disaster, the card didn't work and they don't deliver. The food was ok, but did not stand out, although I must say that tastes differ of course.

Picked up from Gioia for the first time and was very positively surprised. Very tasty Pasta Goioa! And friendly people. I came to pick up the order with my 4-year-old daughter and she received a nice surprise. Highly recommended!

Delicious pizzas, large and well filled with good quality ingredients. We had number 34 and number 38. I don't remember which was which, but the one with pecorino was delicious (if you like spicy pizzas). Recommended!!

Nice restaurant with a very wide choice of pizzas, pastas and anti-pastas. The friendly waiter doesn't speak Dutch, you have to like that, but he can help you choose a good pizza. Prices are minimal while the quality is really good. I have also seen them do deliveries.

Really delicious food and would come back for takeaway. But we were eating there and it took way too long. At least an hour. Drinks were also not offered enough because there was only 1 person for service and takeaway section in 1. And with 30 people together in the restaurant, that is really not possible. The stress and language barrier was also reflected in this gentleman. Once again the food was really tasty and hard working people!

Well done, very good. We chose the three course menu. Tasty fish soup. The veal is excellent, the tiramisu is top-notch. Nice place in this small non-touristy town in the south of Holland. Low prices for the quality of the dishes.

The best Italian in the region. Enjoy honest antipasti, beautiful pizzas and mouth-watering tartufo ravioli in an authentic 'cantina atmosphere'. You will really want to return here soon. Proud of this Maassluise pearl!
