Great Italian restaurant, with a nice terrace outside. Staff was very friendly and accomodating, and we could bring out little dog as well. The food was delicious. Definitely recommend! It’s not a very big restaurant, so better to make a reservation. It was fully booked when we had dinner there.

There were three of us for dinner, and we were all absolutely thrilled with the food. We come from an Italian household and are skeptical of Italian restaurants, but we were all very impressed here. The pasta is homemade, which you could see and taste. The various sauces—ragù alla bolognese, carbonara, ragù with lamb and mushrooms, and one with cream, green beans, bacon, and mushrooms—were very delicately prepared and seasoned, not overly seasoned. You could taste the fresh ingredients and the careful preparation. For dessert, we tried the pistachio puree and the chocolate tart with a liquid center. Both were incredibly good, although the chocolate tart was the highlight. Not only did the food make us happy, the service was also very friendly, accommodating, and above all, attentive. Top ratings in all respects.

Awesome Italian food! Everything we ordered was delicious. Started with the burrata and focaccia. Our group all ordered a different pasta dish and enjoyed very much. The lava cake and pistachio mousse are worth it!!

The place is ok overall. The Aperol was a bit disappointing, lacked Aperol flavor. The Tagliere was pretty with good variety. We couldn't taste the garlic at all in the Bigoli Aglio Olio alla Romana. The agneau was really good with delicious chunks of meat. Pappardelle was ok al dente (with a bite) but the spaghettoni was almost raw. My friend said he likes this way but for 24 euros one plate of pasta, I could have sent it back. The pistachio mouse was fine. Nice pieces of pistachios inside. I would prefer more flavor in it and crunchier on top 😅 I had no wait because I had a reservation but the place was impressively full on a Tuesday. The menu is not updated on the website. There are a few new flavours and most of the plates are 24 euros (July 25). Hopefully I'll be back soon for a second chance 😁

I didn't really enjoy what we ordered, but this is just a matter of taste. We had the pasta with homemade sausage, that unfortunately i didn't like. The texture of the meat was thick and chewy and the dish slightly too salty for my taste. My partner order the seafood pasta with lobster bisque and that was extremely disappointing, we both found the dish too sweet instead of seafood flavor. The worst for me was the limoncello spritz that has absolutely no spritz at all, had no bubbles or frizz and freshness. On the other hand, the service was extremely friendly and the portions are big. It is a shame it didn't meet my expectations as I was really looking forward to it.

We had the best home-made pasta in town and everything tasted super fresh. We were a group of 9 but everything went super smooth and the waiters were very attentive! 100% would recommend!

Food was great, the waitress when I asked I wanna a table for one, she looked me weard, like is not normal to having dinner by my self, no one asked me if I would like some water, I didn't get at all, everyone push me to order the food, when I like to having some beers before having food. No great experience, I saw the body language from the servers when they asked or serving other tables, looks annoyed, no empathy no smiling or 'fake smiles'

Really cute Italian spot! The main dishes were flavorful and the desserts were delicious. Pappardelle with beef and mushrooms was amazing! Tiramisu was fantastic, pistachio mousse delicious (very sweet though - definitely for a sweet tooth), cannoli was also great! 🍮 Cocktails were a miss though, and for the price, I expected a bit more—but overall, still a good experience.

Gustatio’s is a place I frequent every time I am in Amsterdam. The food is out of this world, the staff makes me feel at home and is always accommodating. The Gnocchi is one of my favorites and the spritzes are amazing!

La comida era deliciosa. Compartimos cuatro entradas diferentes y cada una fue mejor que la anterior. Si eligiera mi favorita, sería la carbonara. Es uno de mis platos favoritos, pero nunca he probado nada como la carbonara en Gustatio! El ambiente era relajante y el personal de camareros amable y servicial. Teníamos cuatro niños pequeños con nosotros y trajeron sus comidas especiales de pasta, mantequilla y queso para que los niños pudieran comer primero. En un viaje de regreso a Amsterdam no dudaría en comer en Gustatio de nuevo. De hecho, pude comer allí varias veces durante mi visita. Recomiendo encarecidamente que coma aquí al menos una vez durante su estancia en Amsterdam.

The worst restaurant I've ever been to in Amsterdam, Pasta Dura. The waiter was ironic and made fun of our English, expensive for what was offered. The waiters have no patience with customers. Only one blonde serves very well. In the end, I almost couldn't pay because I didn't have the option of paying just the remaining €5 on my card.

Every now and then we walk by this restaurant on our way home and decide to sit down for a bite or dinner. And it never disappoints! Yesterday we did not have too much time. We just had two pastas, the ragu and the salciccia, and the affogato for desert. As always everything was delicious and the service on point! Thanks again!

We ate at 8 in a magnificent atmosphere and we have rarely enjoyed ourselves so much! The servers were also extremely kind and pleasant. Order the pasta with your eyes closed, it is delicious, the burrata was fresh and milky and the appetizer bruschettas succulent. Finally to top it all off the desserts were to die for! We were kindly allowed to take them home to enjoy. Special mention for the cannolo siciliani! Thank you for this beautiful meal

Don’t go hungry, portions are small even for Italian standards. Had the tagliatelle with ragu which is reasonable but far from the Italian experience which is cooked for far more time and better seasoned. 5 euro lemonade Rossa for around 200ml of lemon juice was a hard hit too, could be better explained at the menu.

We came here on a hunch as it happened to be close to our hotel. While the place was packed and fully booked, the staff were extremely kind and accomodated us with a table. When ordering it was truly hard to choose, cause everything caught our eyes! When the food promptly arrived, we were suprised at the larger than expected portions. The flavours were out of this world and the pasta was cooked to perfection! Definitely one to come back to!

Was really looking forward to visiting after all the great reviews. Ordered pasta with nduja and buratta. The sauce was sauce and the buratta has zero flavour. The carbonara had guanciale that wasn’t crispy. Both dishes were served lukewarm. No reason to visit again sadly.

We visited on a Monday evening and we were very lucky to get a table for 2 although we hadn't booked. Food and service was excellent. It was a bit of a long wait for the main course, but to be fair the waitresses they did tell everyone in advance and the starters did come out promptly. We had the Focaccia & Burrata for starter and Salmon Tagliatelle (special) for mains. The quality of the food was well worth the wait. Also had a nice glass of Merlot.

The food was really good, albeit expensive. €19 for a carbonara is just rude in this economy, or €23 for truffle/mushroom pasta. For those prices we would’ve expected a flavour explosion, which we didn’t get. It was tasty, but I’m sure you can find better cheaper. They messed up both the drinks order and the food order, and then also attempted to charge us for the wrong dish (which cost more) which we had to ask to correct. No compensation whatsoever for the mistakes they made. When we called to make the reservation, no end time was communicated and after only an hour we were asked to leave because they needed the table. The music played also didn’t really seem to match the atmosphere they were going for. While we would’ve appreciated some lowkey music in the background to facilitate conversation, it felt like we were listening to Radio’s Most Popular Dance Songs, also on a quite high volume. While the food was good, I’m not sure I would recommend this place based on the service alone.

I don't really understand all the super enthusiastic reviews. Prices are quite high and we thought the quality of the food was a bit mediocre. We had a burrata with tomatoes as a starter, but it was not creamy at all. The tomatoes were fine but the high price was not worth it. The pastas (€23) were okay but not great as you would expect for that price. Pasta tartufo had a lot of sauce and the pasta was quite hard, it may depend on the type, but it didn't taste/seem fully cooked. The service looked disinterested and only spoke English. We were not asked how we had eaten, or whether we wanted something to drink in between, and the plates were simply stacked at the table when we were cleared. I believe that the place once had a nice authentic appearance, but to be honest it all looks a bit outdated now.

I tried the amatriciana and it was really good, both the sauce and the pasta. The portion was fine for me, in combination with a starter and a shared desert I was full. The staff is friendly, too.

The food was good but not worth the money Almost 20€ for pasta cacio e pepe. The service was not good, we were in a little room downstairs(very nice atmosphere) but the staff completely forgot us. The waiting times were very long.

Very authentic Italian restaurant. I had the pasta dish with tomato sauce and eggplant, my husband had the pasta a carbonara. We both didn't love the flavor, but you could tell it was freshly made and high quality. The pasta itself was also really good! Seemed homemade. There were a lot of other dishes we saw brought out that looked amazing... I'm sure they were delicious, we just had a bit of bad luck this time. I would have loved to try some of the other dishes. Service was great, loved the atmosphere.

This place is not only gorgeous, with its beautiful décor, but the food—oh my goodness! It's an authentic Italian restaurant with homemade pasta and delicious desserts. What else can you ask for? The pistachio mousse is out of this world! The manzo was incredibly tender and simply delicious. Gustatio never disappoints! We went with our 1.5-year-old baby, and she loved the focaccia. They have high chairs and are really child-friendly! We’re extremely happy with the whole experience—amazing food and amazing service!

Absolutely delicious food in a gorgeous place. We went on a Wednesday and it wasn’t crowded at all. Food arrived quickly and it was probably the best pasta I’ve had in months. Outstanding quality, I could seriously have eaten three dishes in a row. The tiramisu was also great. Service was really friendly. Will come back!

Mixed experience! Wanted to eat pasta cacio e pepe in my neighborhood so decided to try Gustatio. As a starter, we had filled calamari, which tasted fine but was not cleaned well and we had pieces of skin that we had to take out of our mouths. We ate it anyway, and we notified the waiter. We didn’t get something to compensate it, either money or a complimentary drink, which should be. The focaccia was really great. Pasta cacio e pepe was a 7,5 out of 10 and pasta alla Norma was a 7 out of 10. Tiramisu was tasting very good, but why were there chocolate drops inside?? For the price, I would probably go to another restaurant next time or make it at home myself.

Ik zeg er zijn talloze Italiaanse restaurtants in Amsterdam. Laat deze maar zitten Wij zaten op de begane grond nét achter de voordeur. Het was nogal fris. De staf spreekt geen Nederlands en matig Engels. Communicatie was daardoor nogal lastig. Staf leek ook totaal ongeïnteresseerd. Een medewerker ontkurkte een fles champagne of iets. Ik werd nog nét niet geraakt door de kurk die dwars door de zaak schoot. Daar werd nauwelijks op gereageerd en ekskuses was al helemaal niet aan de orde. Door de lastige communicatie was het ook moeilijk om duidelijk te maken wat of er gebeurd was. Bij het uitgebreide voorgerecht waren een paar smeerseltjes. Zou beter gesmaakt hebben met gewone foccacia of ander gewoon witbrood. Wij kregen het met foccacia met ui (ook lekker maar niet geschikt voor smeerseltjes).
