This Italian restaurant in Amsterdam offers a truly wonderful experience. The fact that the owner and waiters are Turkish immediately makes you feel the warmth and friendliness. The dishes are prepared with flavors typical of Italian cuisine, with fresh ingredients and meticulous presentation. The service is fast, and their attention to detail is excellent. It's a place you absolutely must visit for both its delicious food and hospitality. I highly recommend it!

Very crowded on a chilly Thursday evening. Not touristy even though there is an English guide to the menu. Really delicious food and attentive wait staff. Price are reasonable for the quantity and the portion size of the dishes. We split all three dishes and it was plenty. Had an Aperol spritz to accompany.

What a fantastic place! We arrived an hour late because the boat was delayed, but our table was still ready. The food was delicious and the service perfect!

I come here regularly and have never had any problems, but this time the service was unfortunately disappointing. We wanted to pay a small bill with two debit cards. Two junior servers rudely slammed the card machine on the table and made irritated faces. This behavior was extremely unprofessional. PS: The food is excellent, but junior staff should be better trained or shouldn't work in the restaurant industry if they don't respect customers.

Much can be said about this restaurant, but it's not authentic Italian. The pizza maker clearly lacks inspiration for other dishes. A bowl of melanzane alla parmigiana consists of one slice of eggplant, one tablespoon of canned tomato sauce, and I'd estimate about 200 grams of cheap, tough cheese. If you order funghi al forno, they serve you a metal tray with four chestnut mushrooms stuffed with tough cheese floating in a good inch of their own water. This was inedible. Moreover, bread with herb butter is listed at the top of the menu. Anyway, the coffee is good, and it's not expensive.

Amazing Italian food they have here! I have tried their risotto, pizza, and meatballs and they all taste delicious. Especially the meatball with some bread, simple but always hit the spot:)

Lovely food and great atmosphere! Friendly staff too. Ended up coming twice on our trip as our flight home was cancelled. Would certainly recommend

Called in here on a cold, busy Friday night with no reservation . The restaurant was extremely busy and unfortunately no tables free. Disappointed we left only to be called back by the restaurant manager who found us a table if we could finish our meal in an hour . Challenge accepted ! Ordered a main meal ( pizza and carbonara ) and we could have easily been in Italy. Great food and fantastic service . Good choice of wines and beers too . Thanks for fitting us in at such short notice . We will definitely be back

Absolutely delicious food. Fried calamari was fresh and crispy, all our mains were delicious (nduja spaghetti, veal, rib eye) and the wines were tasty and well priced. Service was really attentive despite it being such a large and busy place. Really enjoyed eating here

Great restaurant. These places are becoming less and less common in the centre of Amsterdam. It kind of falls apart when you visit the bathrooms, you practically walk through the kitchen and staff area. Also great wines!

If you want a good Italian restaurant, this is the place to be. Not Dutchified at all, but delicious, authentic Italian food, just like you'd find in Italy. I keep coming back. And that tiramisu is to die for!!!

Extremely reliable neighborhood Italian restaurant, perfect for families. Good selection of pizzas featuring a variety of ingredients alongside pasta options which will ensure everyone's preferences are catered to. Cozy / gezelig atmosphere with super friendly staff who remember regulars and treat them like family members. Prices are very family friendly and they definitely understand how to prioritize getting food for little ones out to ensure they don't have to wait too long. If you like pizza or pasta you will be happy at Lucca Due.

We ate here for the first time Tuesday evening with three friends after making a reservation. We were running late, which was no problem at all after a phone call. From the outside, it looked super cozy and atmospheric, and that was absolutely true. We received a warm welcome. The wines, pasta, and pizza were delicious! We all enjoyed every bite (there's a wide selection of gluten-free pizzas and pastas)! 😋 Compliments to the kitchen! I will definitely eat here again on my next trip to Amsterdam! Thank you so much!

Great pizza and cocktails! It's always very busy in the evenings, but we still had a very comfortable seat and didn't have to wait long for our food.

The manager is really mean with the employees. We were waiting for our food and she was yelling at them. Honestly we should not encourage place were young people are treated like this. That is why I highly don’t recommend this place.

It used to be very good here. But now it's a pizza Napoletana with 3 anchovies, 25 disgusting black-painted pitted olives from a glass jar (I'd rather have 10 Taggiasca olives), and chewy mozzarella. The crust is still reasonable. The spinach side dish is excellent. Also, only 1/3 full on a Wednesday, while a year ago you had to fight for a seat. Very nice, understanding waiters; they were now outnumbered by the occupancy, while it used to be the other way around. The house red wine is perfectly acceptable. Conclusion: chef, spend a little more on the olives and cheese.

The gluten free pizza was made with a Schar base. I should have read the previous reviews . Quite disappointing .

I have never eaten such a delicious Carbonara in my whole entire life. It was more than a masterpiece. The chef deserves a prize and the place - a Michelin star.

I ordered a tuna pizza for 15,50€. It was prepared in a couple minutes. At some places the tomato foundation was a little bit too much, but it was mostly good. The staff was nice, but thanks to the loneliness (at 4PM I was the only one eating there) I was feeling a bit under pressure, but I wouldn’t mark it as a restaurant’s fault. I would give 9/10.

A four-star restaurant. The atmosphere is okay, the garden is large, and it's generally nice, but there are a few things they could have done better, as they spoil the whole experience – for example, the toilets... The food is okay. The lasagne is very good and served perfectly in a hot dish, keeping it warm until the very end. The service is very friendly.

We waited 25 minutes for the server to take our order but he never showed up. We therefore left and got food somewhere else

Very busy restaurant, food absolutely fabulous, great value and house is is fab too.. only dropped one star as they seemed like they could do with a few more staff for volume as we were a very long time waiting for each course and thought at one stage we were forgotten about, and also seating in the door out to kitchen area where there was a very strong draft. Amazing patio and really good service

It's not an Italian restaurant... I went in and no one spoke my language, I even tried to speak in Italian and I didn't even get the most banal answers. The food was okay, but really nothing special. I had ordered a sea bass and asked for it to be without onion or anything strange, but when it arrived it was actually full of onion. Obviously I sent it back. They had put it on my bill, then I pointed it out to them and in disbelief they finally took it away from me. It's a restaurant. But not an Italian restaurant.

Very good restaurant, pleasant setting. If you want to benefit from a certain experience (setting, food, service) objectively, it might be difficult... Average service: forgetfulness, misunderstood orders (we had a bilingual person at the table, I should add), and unfriendly waiters. I'd bet on a bad evening or poor organization, hoping for an easy area for improvement.

Interesting place, the tables outside are in front of a church. They don't speak any Spanish and only a little English. We ordered two dishes to share, a salad and a pizza, and they brought them both at the same time, even though we had specified that we should get the salad first.

A real old-fashioned pizzeria, informal and cozy although it is quite big. Unfortunately the pizza arrived lukewarm and there was very little cheese on it. They do use quality ingredients and their dough is also good. Very correct female server.
