Nice staff, tasty pasta, BUT unfortunately bad espresso, please make an investment in a bit better coffee quality!

Food is terrible. We ordered 2 pizzas and the pizza base was a joke. Even microwave pizza would be better:D I don’t understand how this place has good ratings. But Coca Cola was good 😄

A four-star restaurant. The atmosphere is okay, the garden is large, and it's generally nice, but there are a few things they could have done better, as they spoil the whole experience – for example, the toilets... The food is okay. The lasagne is very good and served perfectly in a hot dish, keeping it warm until the very end. The service is very friendly.

Very busy restaurant, food absolutely fabulous, great value and house is is fab too.. only dropped one star as they seemed like they could do with a few more staff for volume as we were a very long time waiting for each course and thought at one stage we were forgotten about, and also seating in the door out to kitchen area where there was a very strong draft. But food and atmosphere 🙌

Very good pizzeria. I took a pizza to go, the gorgonzola was to die for. I didn't wait too long. I was even offered something to drink while I waited.

Showed up during the busiest part of dinner with 6 people. Still managed to get a seat due to the great and friendly service guy. Pizza was super and affordable, especially for Amsterdam standards. Would definitely visit again!

One of my favorite places in Amsterdam. Regular guest and recommend it to everyone. Amazingly delicious food for great price. Service is always on top. Friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. Great pasta choices. Fantastic pizza. Love it.

It's not an Italian restaurant... I went in and no one spoke my language, I even tried to speak in Italian and I didn't even get the most banal answers. The food was okay, but really nothing special. I had ordered a sea bass and asked for it to be without onion or anything strange, but when it arrived it was actually full of onion. Obviously I sent it back. They had put it on my bill, then I pointed it out to them and in disbelief they finally took it away from me. It's a restaurant. But not an Italian restaurant.

Very good restaurant, pleasant setting. If you want to benefit from a certain experience (setting, food, service) objectively, it might be difficult... Average service: forgetfulness, misunderstood orders (we had a bilingual person at the table, I should add), and unfriendly waiters. I'd bet on a bad evening or poor organization, hoping for an easy area for improvement.

Interesting place, the tables outside are in front of a church. They don't speak any Spanish and only a little English. We ordered two dishes to share, a salad and a pizza, and they brought them both at the same time, even though we had specified that we should get the salad first.

A real old-fashioned pizzeria, informal and cozy although it is quite big. Unfortunately the pizza arrived lukewarm and there was very little cheese on it. They do use quality ingredients and their dough is also good. Very correct female server.

Excellent service with friendly staff. Food is quite tasty. True Italian style pizza. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Tender veal. We have been to Lucca several times and yet to be disappointed.

Restaurant & Pizzeria Lucca Due was a success. We tried a spectacular charcuterie and cheese board, with homemade focaccia and delicious sauces. The pizza, with a thin and crispy crust, was exquisite, and the pasta was very tasty and well presented. An authentic Italian, with quality products and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Food is fantastic, always perfect, especially the pizza. But don’t expect quick and nice service.. they are trying but fail in educating their staff and in planning their processes efficiently. I will come back, but only for picking up the awesome pizza.

We 2 Aussies arrived in Amsterdam Saturday night and our hotel has no restaurant so we took to the streets and were walk ins at Lucca. Staff could not have been more helpful. We sat at bar for 2 minutes and like magic a table for 2 was ready. Pizza funghi and spaghetti and meatballs. House wine a very respectable Primitivo. Finished off with Limoncello. The whole experience was so good we went back within 24 hours this time lasagne, garlic butter for the beautiful fresh bread , primitivo again but this time Affogato to finish. The service again friendly fast and efficient and the owner remembered us from last night with a warm smile. Do yourself a favour and go to Lucca, if you have ever been friends with an Italian family, you will understand the warmth. They even had Bundaberg Ginger Beer from back home.

The place has a certain charm, but it could use more authenticity—especially in the way Tom presented the Italian food. Unfortunately, the overall experience was quite messy. We had a reservation for 20:00 but weren’t seated until 20:50, and our main course didn’t arrive until 22:15. That’s a long wait for everything. I ordered the seafood spaghetti with vongole, shrimp, and squid—it was overcooked and lacked flavor. Not impressive at all. The staff only became friendly after we complained about the long wait outside. Overall, not a place I’d be excited to return to.

Nos encantó este restaurante! Nos gusta probar una variedad de comidas y restaurantes mientras viajamos tan rara vez nos gusta volver a visitar el mismo lugar dos veces. Nos encantó este lugar tanto que no solo volvimos 3 días después, pero volvimos para una TERCERA visita en una semana! Nos encantó la pasta con mariscos (y tuvimos que dos noches) y tuvimos una gran pizza y ensalada nuestro tercer viaje! El personal era amable y servicial y la comida era deliciosa. La noche que no fueron capaces de sentarnos inmediatamente, fuimos capaces de sentarnos en el bar y tomar una copa de vino durante unos 15 minutos, entonces estaban listos para nosotros! Sin duda volveremos la próxima vez que estemos en Amsterdam!

We LOVED this restaurant! We like to try a variety of foods and restaurants while we are traveling so rarely like to revisit the same place twice. We loved this place so much that we not only returned 3 days later, but we went back for a THIRD visit in one week! We loved the pasta with seafood (and had that two nights) and we had great pizza and salad our third trip! The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. The one night they weren't able to seat us immediately, we were able to sit at the bar and have a glass of wine for about 15 minutes then they were ready for us! We will definitely be going back the next time we are in Amsterdam!

The orders took a while but it was great, I just found it a little spicy. A vegetarian friend loved the options and said it was wonderful.

Should be 5 stars, but, we've been here 4 times in the last 12 months and we've never been able to pay by card. For some reason their payment machines do not accept HSBC visa credit, or debit cards, and they don't accept AMEX. So, 3 stars it is. Sort your system out! And be warned, you might need to pay with cash. The pasta is excellent, and in generous quantity, as are the pizze. The service is friendly and efficient. Book ahead, it is popular.

Bad service and food quality average

Very nice service and delicious food. The place was completely full and the staff remained relaxed and very friendly. There were people waiting for a table and you were not looked away to make room for those waiting. Nice pizzeria.

Een pizza met vegan cheese is niet te eten. Pasta was zonder zout en zeer matig te pruimen. Er zijn zitgelegenheden die erg in de doorloop zitten richting keuken en toiletten, wat geen prettige of gezellige entourage is. Kleine wijnglazen, waar een ondermaats bodempje in geschonken wordt. Daarom maar afgezien van dessert en snel weg om nooit meer terug te komen.

I always enjoy the Italian food I eat at Lucca, whether it is a pizza, salad, pasta dish or dessert. Delicious food and not expensive. I'm a vegetarian and there is always a wide variety of dishes. Friendly service, made to feel welcome. My favorite Italian restaurant in Amsterdam.

Great restaurant good food friendly staff

Brilliant restaurant, food was a little microwaved but tasted pretty good on the whole. Garlic bread was lovely. Rating 5 star for service because I dropped a wine glass and the waitress quickly cleaned up and gave me a refill! Brilliant and made me happy.
