We had cheese penne, steak with fries, and lemon cake. The penne was delicious and there was a lot of it 😃 The steak was just okay. The cake with a slice of ice cream was absolutely delicious. The service was very friendly and chatty. Highly recommended ☺️

Absolutely amazing food. We came here two days in a row and it was heaven in our mouth 😂 The servers were extremely kind and even gave us a few tips on what to order. Housemade Tiramisu was absolutely delicious, a bit heavy, but nothing bad! I would recommend this to everyone!

If you're hunting for a genuinely awesome Italian meal in Amsterdam, you seriously need to hit up Restaurant Antonio’s. This place completely skips the usual tourist-trap gimmicks and feels like a cozy, hidden neighborhood gem with a super relaxed vibe that isn't packed with crowds of annoying tourists. The atmosphere is just so incredibly nice, and the staff are the absolute sweetest—super warm, welcoming, and actually Italian (or descendants), so you'll hear them chatting away in Italian all night. Plus, the background music is just beautiful, classic Italian tunes. It is such a massive relief compared to the horrible, loud funk music that so many other city spots blare out these days. And the food? Oh man, it's so good. Everything feels totally homemade and comforting. Even if you're feeling a bit under the weather like we were, you'll still have the best time. They even serve great Italian beers, including a non-alcoholic one that is crisp and totally delicious. If you want real Italian flavors, amazing hospitality, and a chill night out while you're in town, we highly recommend this spot.

Hello, We ordered three pizzas, and we were disappointed with all three. They were without a doubt the least flavorful pizzas I've ever eaten. I strongly advise against ordering them. Plus, the wait was long for just three pizzas.

Gluten Free Pasta was amazing!! They cook the GF pasta with fresh batch of water each time. Cesar salad was fresh and delicious. Absolute must stop for some great food and vibes.

Lovely meal for our first evening in Amsterdam. Everyone was lovely, and all very helpful with our dietary requirements. The food was delicious!

So my girlfriend is Croatian and while we were walking in Leidseplein she says to me "hey babe let's stop in this Italian restaurant" I already looked at the name and I knew this restaurant was awful and I didn't want to go in but to make her happy we went in. Egyptian staff 🤣 you walk into an Italian restaurant and you hear Arabic being spoken are you kidding me? She orders a vegetarian pizza and I order penne with pesto even though I repeat (I didn't want to eat there) the pizza was awful New York style dough pizza the penne were hotter than Vesuvius. A TRAP for tourists who don't understand anything about Italian cuisine I ask myself but these people have a brain, if I see "penne broccoli and chicken" on the menu I say how could you even think of going to eat in that place? They take advantage of tourists who are not only stupid but don't understand anything about Italian cuisine and for this Antonio is the real winner congratulations.

The only thing Italian about this place is the name. Food is medium, it take ages to arrive at the table ( same for the drinks). Waiters are arrogant and at the limit of politeness. Most of them are not Italian and respond in Arabic when asked why it took so long to get our food. Just pass your way.

Restaurant in a very busy and touristy area of ​​Amsterdam. We arrived quite late, almost closing time, and were extremely well received. First-class service. Good pizza. One of the worst Italian restaurants we've ever been to! What's more, we were there during a "red heatwave" alert, my partner is pregnant, and the owner refused to give us a glass of water! And he charged us €7 for a 75cl bottle – highway robbery! Plus, the food was really not great. Very disappointed. Never again.

My first two visits were great, I give them a 5 star, which makes this review even more disappointing. As a vegan, there aren’t many options, but they were kind enough to make me pasta with Napolitana sauce, and it was delicious the first time. The bruschetta is also excellent. A big thank you to our waiter, Mike, who was friendly, attentive, welcoming, and very accommodating. Unfortunately, my third visit was the complete opposite, and we didn’t have Mike this time. Instead, we were served by a young woman who didn’t seem very welcoming or interested in helping. I ordered the same pasta, but it came out extremely salty with a strange taste. After I mentioned it, it was remade, but the replacement had barely any sauce and tasted like plain noodles with water. When I asked if I could switch to another item, I was told no. The only solution offered was a side of sauce, but by the time it arrived, both the pasta and the sauce were cold. It’s disappointing because I know how good this dish can be based on my previous visits. The food quality and customer service were completely different this time, and I left feeling like customer satisfaction wasn’t a priority. Unfortunately, I don’t plan on returning.

What a fantastic experience at this restaurant on Leidsekruisstraat. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail, and the quality of the food was truly outstanding. The grilled salmon, in particular, was perfectly prepared and beautifully served with a fresh salad. The side dishes, such as the roasted vegetables in the earthenware bowl, also tasted wonderfully pure. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food.

Everything was excellent except the pizza crust. The risotto de mare was excellent, the pasta al-Arabiata was excellent, and so was the lasagna. We stayed here 3 nights out of five.

The waitress was really rude. The table was a bit dirty so we asked them if it is possible for him to clean. After that he became really moody. He was quite aggressive. Literally really rude. My sister saw her making a rude hand gesture about us and it made us really uncomfortable. He thought we didn't see it. We wanted to leave immediately. Cancelled the order, we payed for our drinks. I explained why we felt uncomfortable and he said this is my style. I really don't recommend. 6,4 euros for a cola really too much.

Came here for dinner in Amsterdam, chose it because of its amazing reviews and could not be more impressed! The new Tagliatellie con Burrata was absolutely sensational, the warm bread and butter and the pizza was sensational. The owner came to check how everything was and ended up giving us some free limoncello to try. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was warm and inviting. The price was very reasonable for 2 people, having two wines, pizza and pasta (€50). Would absolutely recommend coming to try Antonio’s Restaurant!
