Hamdorff in Laren

Understand the art of hospitality. This afternoon after a festival, completely unexpectedly and not completely neatly dressed, a table reserved at Hamdorff. Friendly welcome, had a nice spot by the window. The drinks came quickly and a carafe of water was spontaneously added. We were put at ease. We could not choose so well and ordered the sweet potato fries, curry soup and a roll with poached egg and avocado. At the last I said: we would like to share this, can you do something with cutlery and plates? And then the dishes arrived on two separate plates divided into equal portions, absolutely great! That is hospitality. We were very happy. And the food was also great.

Atmospheric restaurant. Friendly service. Not a very large menu, which is only a good indication, as far as I'm concerned. Opted for a sea bass, salmon fillet and asparagus flamande. Everyone agreed: good taste, right cooking. Portions sufficient, in short fine.

Had a fantastic evening, ate their tastiest starter, fried egg with pata negra. Delicious Rioja on the side. Absolutely great!

Had a meal with friends at Hamdorff last Saturday, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and extremely friendly service. Worth a recommendation!

I ordered a sirloin steak and it came with pepper sauce which I don't think is great. The waiter decided to rinse my steak under the tap and so I got my steak back... The steak looked unappetizing and was inedible. no apologies, I didn't get another steak. This is very unfortunate.

Nicely decorated, tasty food and above all, real hosts! (There were no ladies serving that day). Wow, not too much and not too little, kind, funny, attentive and personable. Rare.

It is relatively expensive, but very delicious. They don't have a menu in English but the service is excellent and they are willing to explain the dishes (they even spoke a little Spanish!)

Delicious pumpkin soup with an Asian twist. A nice sandwich with it. We didn't have much time otherwise we would certainly have had an extensive lunch here! Thanks for the good service.

It is located in the most chic small city/town in Holland. And this restaurant could not be less, a modern, relaxed and at the same time elegant touch. It has a nice terrace. Very good and quiet atmosphere. Good food both quality and price. The service is super, friendly and correct. We had a good lunch with some friends.

Review: Overall, we enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service friendly, if a bit rushed. We appreciated the speed with which the dishes were served, but were sorry that we were outside within an hour and a half. As young parents planning those rare nights out, we had hoped for a more relaxed pace to enjoy together. Nevertheless, the quality of the food made up for it and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, with the caveat to consider the pace of service.

Had lunch at Hamdorff for the first time on Wednesday and we really enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the flammkuchen pulled chicken, highly recommended! We will come back to enjoy your meal again soon.

Nice restaurant, wide range of dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. Food was very tasty, service was also quick. The restaurant was full during lunch, a good sign and, in our opinion, worth repeating.

Great price-quality ratio, good wines by the glass, cozy atmosphere, and our host Michel made us feel welcome. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner, we'll definitely be back soon.

During the corona period we accidentally ended up at Hamdorff, when we were looking for a place for lunch before a visit to the Singer Museum. We enjoyed it very much - nice, friendly employees and top dishes. That's why we go back every now and then, even if it's a bit out of the way for us ;) You can choose a sandwich for lunch, but also from the evening menu. So you can either stand outside for an hour or enjoy it for a long time. We always choose the latter. This time it was a pleasure again and although the restaurant is now fortunately full again, the attention of the employees remains at a high level. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

A year ago I was invited to eat at Hamdorff's and from what I remember, it tasted good. A delicious starter, a tasty main course and finally a delicious dessert.

Delicious Ceasar Salad, generously filled with tender warm chicken pieces, poached egg and a warm roll. Enjoy. The service is also top notch. Some feedback for the service: instead of a faded gray shirt, wear a nice, crisp white shirt.

This is where retired premier league footballers take their mother-in-law for lunch. Literally. I don't know what specifically attracts footballers, but Hamdorff is a local institution and serves up a decent lunch at affordable prices every time. The décor is a bit 90s grand café, but it works. One minor point; the hamburger was a great home-made beef burger, but the accompanying fries are a bit too much like McD's. Handcut fries would make the experience soo much better.

Lekker eten. Menu wisselt regelmatig en dat is fijn. Leuke zaal, goed parkeren en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen er graag. Update 21/10/23: Hamdorff ! Wat is er gebeurd ? Grote teleurstelling voor ons vanavond: veels te dunne entrecote, niet een echte mals, lekker stuk vlees wat je normaal gesproken kan verwachten als je een entrecote bestelt. Frietjes zijn gewoon diepvries en ik had truffel mayonaise gevraagd en die kwam dun uitgespreid al over de friet met een grote (onnodige) hoeveelheid geraspte kaas. Waarvoor die nodig was ? Voorgerecht ook teleurstelling: kleine stukjes gerookte zalm filet (gemarineerd?!?) zonder enige fantasie erbij. En het toetje dan: een macaron met karamel en ijsbolletje. Macaron veels te hard en droog. Weinig caramel crème en minuscuul ijs bolletje. En dat allemaal voor 200 euro’s voor 4 personen (ok met ieder 2 softdrinks). Hey jongens ! Wat gebeurt er hier ? Nieuw management? Nieuwe kok ? Zo gaan jullie toch klanten verliezen? Service blijft gelukkig nog altijd vriendelijk en attent.

Aardige mensen en erg lekker eten(lunch).

Heb buiten de kaart om voor- en hoofdgerecht genomen. Buikspek met gamba's als voor en als hoofdgerecht confituur de canard. Beide gerechten echt top!

Afgelopen zaterdag met gezelschap gegeten. Mooie, sfeervolle en verzorgde locatie. Verder vriendelijke ontvangst en bediening en het eten was heerlijk. We hebben genoten, ga zo verder !! Aanbevelenswaardig is het nagerecht "Hollandse Kersen".

Ik heb hier lekker geluncht met garnalen kroketjes op brood. Ze waren erg lekker, zelfs zo lekker dat je de portie wat aan de kleine kant kan vinden, want je krijgt trek in meer. De koffie is bovengemiddeld goed voor een niet gespecialiseerde horeca gelegenheid. De bediening is heel erg vriendelijk, heeft aandacht voor je, is behulpzaam en straalt uit dat ze capabel zijn (en dat voelt toch als een soort luxe in deze tijd waarin door tekorten aan horecapersoneel regelmatig minder ervaren / minder betrokken personeel rondloopt in de bediening). Hamdorff heeft een mooi terras waar je heerlijk kan zitten als het mooi weer is. Op basis van deze ene ervaring kan ik een bezoek aan Hamdorff aanraden en zou ik zeker nog eens komen als ik weer eens in de buurt ben.

Lekkere lunch, vriendelijke bediening op een heerlijk terras in de zon!

We hebben hier met z'n tweetjes superlekker gegeten in alle rust en met vlotte en attente service. Een aanrader!

Heerlijk eten, goede kaart en prima service voor een nette prijs!

Gisteravond heb ik hier met mijn moeder en zusje heerlijk gegeten. De ontvangst was hartelijk. De ambiance was prachtig, stijlvol en tegelijkertijd origineel ingericht. Vooraf had ik de gekonfijte pompoen met humus en daarna de kabeljauwrugfilet met brandade. Heerlijk! Gerechten zijn zeer smaakvol en de borden mooi opgemaakt. De bediening kan je avond maken of breken en de jongen die ons bediende was zeer plezierig en kundig. Hij voelde precies de sfeer bij ons aan tafel en ging daar heel goed mee om. Hij heeft een zeer positieve bijdrage geleverd aan onze avond uit. Heel hartelijk dank, we hebben genoten!

Altijd goed! Kwaliteit, goede menukaart met variatie, klassiekers als t krokante eitje en salade Hamdorff en lekkere seizoens gerechten! Perfecte bediening, je voelt gewoon als gast dat de sfeer goed is! We hebben een heerlijke zomerse avond gehad op het terras aan de achterzijde! We komen er graag!
