Hamdorff in Laren

Reserved by phone for half an hour from now. Seating for 9, everything was set.

Once again, had a delicious lunch with former colleagues from the Colonie 's-Graveland.

Visited Hamdorff in Laren this evening. Nice, extensive menu from which you can order all day long. The food and service were very good, and the interior is authentic.

We don't come here very often, but when we are there, everything is tip-top. Delicious food and very friendly people. I always say to my partner, why don't we come here more often.

We really wanted to eat on the terrace, but that was apparently too much trouble. After the bread rolls, oil, pepper, and salt were served with the main course. That would have been nice with the bread roll beforehand. Cutlery was slammed onto the table. After ordering a large bottle of sparkling water, the waitstaff walked away while we still wanted to order a glass of wine. The steak tartare was not nicely seasoned. Way too much pepper, and you couldn't taste anything else. After having a dish replaced and, with difficulty, ordering another glass of wine, a stranger we hadn't seen before came over to bring the bill. He clearly expected a hefty tip. Too bad, man, he was really out of place...

Had a lovely lunch on the terrace with my sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and of course my wife. Excellent food, very friendly service.

Had a delicious lunch here and the service is also friendly and efficient. Beautiful place!

Casual, delicious food and excellent service in a lovely ambiance with beautiful evening sun. The value for money is excellent, presented with care; in short, a new favorite for us as a family!

Always delicious food, good service, top wines, atmospheric decor, and nice tables where you don't sit too close to your neighbor.

A delicious lunch on a beautiful terrace and good service. Recommended!

A cozy restaurant with delicious food. We mentioned that we'd be bringing our dog, and he'd be in a stroller. This was taken into account when assigning a table. We were even offered a bowl of water. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly. We'll definitely be dining here again.

Fantastic food and great service! Highly recommended!

Delicious food, very friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere. Top place!

Excellent service and welcome. Very polite and professional, especially compared to others, they still know how to do things properly here. The food was served quickly and met expectations, though it was a bit basic. The Christmas decorations and the interior were excellent, although I thought the large speakers and fireplace on the TV detracted somewhat.

We managed to snag a last-minute spot at this wonderful restaurant. We had a delicious meal with excellent company. The staff were very friendly, quick, and attentive. Thank you for taking such good care of us, and we hope to see you again!

Greatest Restaurant in the world. The food is so delicious, and the service is great too. The owner, Nanda. Is the sweetest.

The hamsdorff salad I've been eating for years is getting more expensive, and the portions are getting smaller. The sirloin steak was a bit tough.

Bloody Mary as an aperitif. Vodka on the rocks, a bottle of tomato juice, sauce, and Tabasco sauce were given. So, let's get started. They asked how the steaks should be cooked, only to say, "They're all cooked the same." Mayonnaise came in a small tub. The sauce was watery and tasteless. Not worth repeating!

Delicious steak tartare! Very friendly staff!

We had a delicious meal with a group of school friends (8). The staff were welcoming and friendly. The sauce over the sirloin steak was served separately, as we requested. The vegetarian dishes were also delicious. We've already decided to come back to you for our next friends' outing!

Nice atmosphere and delicious food

Understand the art of hospitality. This afternoon after a festival, completely unexpectedly and not completely neatly dressed, a table reserved at Hamdorff. Friendly welcome, had a nice spot by the window. The drinks came quickly and a carafe of water was spontaneously added. We were put at ease. We could not choose so well and ordered the sweet potato fries, curry soup and a roll with poached egg and avocado. At the last I said: we would like to share this, can you do something with cutlery and plates? And then the dishes arrived on two separate plates divided into equal portions, absolutely great! That is hospitality. We were very happy. And the food was also great.

Delicious food! Friendly service that pays attention.

Again very cozy and delicious food. Friendly staff that keeps an eye on everything. Right time between the different courses. Top restaurant!

Delicious food and excellent service that is always smiling! Here the guest comes first! In one word: great. I will definitely go here more often.

Enjoy a delicious stay in the heart of Laren

Great food I would like to see steak tartare back on the menu

What a place! Food excellent. Atmosphere and service top notch.

Delicious food, attentive service.

Always delicious food. Nice people and good service

Atmospheric restaurant. Friendly service. Not a very large menu, which is only a good indication, as far as I'm concerned. Opted for a sea bass, salmon fillet and asparagus flamande. Everyone agreed: good taste, right cooking. Portions sufficient, in short fine.

Had a fantastic evening, ate their tastiest starter, fried egg with pata negra. Delicious Rioja on the side. Absolutely great!

Had a meal with friends at Hamdorff last Saturday, delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and extremely friendly service. Worth a recommendation!

I ordered a sirloin steak and it came with pepper sauce which I don't think is great. The waiter decided to rinse my steak under the tap and so I got my steak back... The steak looked unappetizing and was inedible. no apologies, I didn't get another steak. This is very unfortunate.

Nicely decorated, tasty food and above all, real hosts! (There were no ladies serving that day). Wow, not too much and not too little, kind, funny, attentive and personable. Rare.

Nanda and Sander have been providing good and affordable quality in a familiar environment for years. Simply recommended

It is relatively expensive, but very delicious. They don't have a menu in English but the service is excellent and they are willing to explain the dishes (they even spoke a little Spanish!)

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and good service!

Delicious pumpkin soup with an Asian twist. A nice sandwich with it. We didn't have much time otherwise we would certainly have had an extensive lunch here! Thanks for the good service.

Good food, very friendly and helpful staff. Just a pity that not everything on the menu was present...

It is located in the most chic small city/town in Holland. And this restaurant could not be less, a modern, relaxed and at the same time elegant touch. It has a nice terrace. Very good and quiet atmosphere. Good food both quality and price. The service is super, friendly and correct. We had a good lunch with some friends.

Review: Overall, we enjoyed our experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service friendly, if a bit rushed. We appreciated the speed with which the dishes were served, but were sorry that we were outside within an hour and a half. As young parents planning those rare nights out, we had hoped for a more relaxed pace to enjoy together. Nevertheless, the quality of the food made up for it and we would definitely recommend this restaurant to others, with the caveat to consider the pace of service.

Pleasant atmosphere a la Art Nouveau, good and fast service. The food is good if somewhat dull in comparison to the atmosphere.

Had lunch at Hamdorff for the first time on Wednesday and we really enjoyed it. Staff are very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the flammkuchen pulled chicken, highly recommended! We will come back to enjoy your meal again soon.

Had a very nice lunch at Hamdorff. The food was good and the staff is genuinely nice. Relaxed atmosphere and not so stiff. Really good experience here. We will definitely come back again!

Nice restaurant, wide range of dishes and a pleasant atmosphere. Food was very tasty, service was also quick. The restaurant was full during lunch, a good sign and, in our opinion, worth repeating.

Great price-quality ratio, good wines by the glass, cozy atmosphere, and our host Michel made us feel welcome. Highly recommended for lunch and dinner, we'll definitely be back soon.

During the corona period we accidentally ended up at Hamdorff, when we were looking for a place for lunch before a visit to the Singer Museum. We enjoyed it very much - nice, friendly employees and top dishes. That's why we go back every now and then, even if it's a bit out of the way for us ;) You can choose a sandwich for lunch, but also from the evening menu. So you can either stand outside for an hour or enjoy it for a long time. We always choose the latter. This time it was a pleasure again and although the restaurant is now fortunately full again, the attention of the employees remains at a high level. I'm already looking forward to the next time!

A year ago I was invited to eat at Hamdorff's and from what I remember, it tasted good. A delicious starter, a tasty main course and finally a delicious dessert.

Great service, good atmosphere and excellent food.

I always find it very atmospheric, highly recommended

Delicious Ceasar Salad, generously filled with tender warm chicken pieces, poached egg and a warm roll. Enjoy. The service is also top notch. Some feedback for the service: instead of a faded gray shirt, wear a nice, crisp white shirt.

Very nice atmosphere, very tasty food, very sweet, sincere professional staff. We had a very nice evening and will definitely come back!

This is where retired premier league footballers take their mother-in-law for lunch. Literally. I don't know what specifically attracts footballers, but Hamdorff is a local institution and serves up a decent lunch at affordable prices every time. The décor is a bit 90s grand café, but it works. One minor point; the hamburger was a great home-made beef burger, but the accompanying fries are a bit too much like McD's. Handcut fries would make the experience soo much better.

Lekker eten. Menu wisselt regelmatig en dat is fijn. Leuke zaal, goed parkeren en zeer vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen er graag. Update 21/10/23: Hamdorff !

Lekker gegeten. Heerlijke salade en mijn vrouw een Flammkuchen.

Heerlijk gegeten. Goede en snelle bediening. Glutenvrij is bekend en was prima! Niet goedkoop.

Erg lekker gegeten gisteravond, vriendelijk personeel 🤩

Lovely historical restaurant, with an easy going and friendly service, and incredibly good dinner options.

Excellent food, behalf the hazlenut cake. Excellent Service.

Wij komen zeker terug.

Heerlijke hamdorff salade gegeten.

Awesome friendly staff .. and easy and delicious food ..
