One thin slice of stale toasted bread was served as panini, with indistinct filling camouflaged by a lot of sauce. The tea was delicious.

Too bad, something has changed. Paying 15 euros for 3 strands of spaghetti for the children and half a tournedos for ~40 euros.

We enjoyed ourselves immensely. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed. The staff is super friendly and we were served quickly. We started with carpaccio and bruschetta as a starter. Pasta Flambé with truffle and cod with spinach as the main course. For dessert, a cheesecake and tiramisu. And a scroppino to finish it off. Unfortunately, I didn't take photos of all the dishes…

We dined with company yesterday. Beautiful, atmospheric, and well-maintained location. Friendly welcome and service. The fact that we hadn't made a reservation wasn't a problem at that moment/time. It was nice to see how the Pasta Flambé was flambéed at the table with whisky inside an Italian cheese. The only downside was that the restaurant has no air conditioning, given the very high temperature yesterday. Nevertheless, we enjoyed the dishes; keep up the good work! The delicious Italian ice cream is definitely recommended as a dessert!!

The tiramisu was more like a kind of coffee-infused whipped cream. Otherwise, it was tasty.

Disappointment regarding the quality of the food and the service. The menu looks good and the vitello tonnato was very tasty. The main course was served without the accompanying sauce. In any case, the meat was not very flavorful. We had to ask staff at the bar for drinks because the wait staff did not come. Prices are not in proportion to the quality. The atmosphere and the place itself are otherwise fantastic, so this is a real shame.

The pasta was flambéed, and so was my mood afterwards. The arrogant attitude and condescending tone of the employee made the experience anything but tasty.

Incredibly good. What makes this Italian restaurant so special is that they offer slightly different dishes on the menu than what you see and taste at your average Italian restaurant. Disappointing experience at Maximiliano in Laren Yesterday, my husband surprised me with lunch at Maximiliano in Laren. Unfortunately, this surprise turned into a huge disappointment. Upon arrival, we received anything but a warm welcome. The restaurant was practically empty at 12:30, but the hostess seemed hurried and curt. We were seated at a dark table and started with a glass of bubbly. When we tried to order, my husband asked for ham. He accidentally mentioned Spanish ham, to which the hostess responded in an offended tone: "We're an Italian restaurant, not Spanish!" I could see my husband becoming visibly irritated. I tried to salvage the situation by asking if she had any Italian ham or other antipasti. Her response was downright blunt: "Is it on the menu? No, is it? Then I don't have it either." The tone was set, and frankly, my husband wanted to leave at that point. The food itself, however, was delicious, authentically Italian, and tastefully prepared. That absolutely deserves praise and is why I'm giving it two stars. Unfortunately, the atmosphere changed even further when the restaurant filled with Social Deal guests who came to eat a three-course meal for €24. They were the ones who got all the attention. We, as full-paying guests, felt completely ignored. After the main course, things went downhill. We were practically invisible to the staff. Our last drink was even forgotten. In the end, we walked to the cash register ourselves, €263 poorer, and had coffee and dessert elsewhere, in a place where people actually seem happy to have you. I also definitely recognize what was written in an earlier review here about hospitality towards established guests and rudeness and aloofness towards new guests. For the food, I say: yes. For the atmosphere, hospitality, and experience—"just as important!"—we say: no. We won't be back.

It's a super nice and pleasant place to eat. The atmosphere inside is fantastic.

I made a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner weeks ago, and two days beforehand, I received an email with no explanation that the reservation had been canceled. This is outrageous to treat customers this way. P.S. Maximiliano claims I was on the waitlist in their comment below, but that's not true. I've attached a screenshot of the reservation.

Ended up here on an early Friday evening while on vacation. My wife & I shared the Parmigiana di melanzane and Pasta flambé. Both were amazing. Our server, Giuseppe, was great. Owner stopped by to talk to us about our trip as well. Great experience! Will be back the next time we're in town.

For starters, we had vitello tonnato and a salad with figs and blue cheese, both beautifully presented and delicious. The salad with figs and blue cheese is especially recommended! Afterward, we enjoyed two types of pasta, which were also perfectly prepared. The pleasant atmosphere on the terrace gave us a real holiday feeling. The restaurant's interior is also beautiful and inviting. We will definitely be back. In short: highly recommended!

Tasty but not great. The tablecloths were decent, but the cutlery was "cheap" and the dishes were non-existent. The atmosphere was reasonable, but there was no music and a very small flower. The lady's service could be more attentive, I think. I recently ate here again, and the quality was noticeably better this time. The portion of spaghetti flambe with truffle was a bit small, unfortunately.

I think they should put a sign on the door saying "friends and family only"! I definitely recommend not going here if you're not familiar with the owner. Otherwise, you'll be ignored, and you could end up waiting a very long time for your order, while the people you know next to you are already getting their second shot of limoncello on the house. It's a shame because the food is excellent, but unfortunately, the most important aspect of Italian culture is missing here.

Unfortunately we had really bad experience… It was a nice and sunny day and the place looked cosy... We find a place to sit but since then everything went wrong.. The service was really slow (to order). And then for get our food we had to wait about an hour… and over all this , my dish (lamb) was totally overcooked and hard . Generally they didn’t consider us and when I call the waitress to explain my disappointment she call the owner but instead of try to listen and understand he just took my plate and he just take it out of the bill …. But the whole feeling was like we were not welcome …. Anyway I definitely don’t recommend this place …

Discovered far too late that there is such an amazing restaurant in our neighborhood. Often drove past the beautiful building but did not realize that a "real" Italian restaurant is housed here. In the meantime, our visits can no longer be counted on one hand. The welcome is warm, as it should be in Italian culture. Both inside and outside you sit wonderfully. The service is friendly and skilled. The food is traditional and of high quality. Starters such as the carpaccio of ribeye, vitello and salmon tartare are like you have never tasted before. The fish or the pasta flambé prepared at the table is a must and as a meat lover you will not miss anything. Our children enjoy it here just as much as we do and that is not always a given 😉 From owner and chef to waitresses, they are all great! Ciao!
