Had a delicious lunch here. The 12 o'clock lunch is highly recommended.

We had a great meal at restaurant den Hemel. It is actually always quite busy there, so sometimes you have to wait a bit, while enjoying a drink, until a table becomes available, but due to the high turnover rate, this is usually brief. The wait is worth it; the staff is very friendly and there is an excellent selection on the menu, plus often some specials.

We had an incredibly delicious meal; the heavenly prawns as a starter were truly heavenly, incredibly good. In addition, the service was super friendly and knowledgeable, which is an exception these days. They even asked how soon after the starter we wanted the main course. Truly perfect service. And reasonable prices, absolutely not unreasonable.

A nice stop if you're on a bike. It looks super cozy, especially the menus in the stand are amazing, not to mention everything they serve. The service is super friendly, highly recommended.

This time, I was slightly less enthusiastic than on previous occasions. It was quite dark, making communication difficult for my parents, especially given how busy it was. The fish soup was not very substantial, and the rice with the curry was quite heavy. The limited bavette as a starter was tasty, though there was a bit too much onion for my taste. The prawns and pork belly were well-received. The Pornstar tartlet was delicious and a good size for dessert. However, the desserts were a bit pricey in proportion to what you get. The staff were very pleasant, though.

Got sick after eating We ate here and unfortunately were unable to leave on a positive note. Within thirty minutes of eating, all four of us (two adults and our children) suddenly and severely became ill. (Vomiting) What stands out: we had all eaten some of my daughter's fries, and that was the only dish we shared with the whole group. That makes us strongly suspect that something was wrong with them, although we obviously cannot determine this with certainty. A shame, because up until that moment the experience was fine. But an evening out and a day at Efteling ending with the whole family sick at home unfortunately weighs heavily on the overall impression. We would like to recommend that the kitchen be extra vigilant regarding the preparation and freshness of the fries.

Great place, amazing food and service. Highly recommended. We stayed nearby at Beekse Bergen and visited here on a Monday for dinner. 2 adults, with 2 teenage kids and everyone enjoyed the food. Range of options from fish special, mixed grill, vegetarian and a salad. We didn't book, turned up early-ish, relatively quiet then got busier later. Outdoor and inside seating. Superb service with plenty of staff working. Easy to cycle from Beekse Bergen, out the Safari resort exit and down the side road then cycle path. With bike parking at the restaurant. Higher quality food, service and cheaper than where se stayed!

We had lunch here today during a motorcycle ride with the Shadow Motorclub. We made a reservation in advance and put together a menu, offering both regular and vegetarian options. There were 54 of us. Everything went very smoothly, including settling the bill. Definitely recommended for larger groups.

Herberg Den Hemel is one of my favorite restaurants: cozy, atmospheric, cheerful and friendly service, good food at a good price, and despite its popularity, there is always a spot available. It is also always busy—morning, at lunchtime, and dinner—all week long, and not without reason. The platters are highly recommended; personally, I find the lunch platter a bit too small, but the starter platter combined with the changing dinner platters is more than enough for big eaters. I saw a "bad" review here and there; I don't get those people. It is not a Michelin-starred restaurant or a fancy place; it is a Brabant inn where you go for a casual, tasty meal in good company. In fact, your dog is even allowed onto the terrace. If you are in the area, just go there and let yourself be surprised. If you are brave, order the Hemelse Beuker and you won't need to eat for 2 days ;-)

We ate here this afternoon with our family as a birthday gift for our mother. There were 4 of us and 1 child. We asked the staff and there wasn't actually a table available immediately, but thanks to the staff's quick thinking, a table was arranged after all 👍🏻 The location wasn't great (but ​​better than nothing) This was because the sun was shining past the shade cloth, which was flapping in the wind. And it was shining in our faces half the time. (Personally, I would replace those loose cloths with a few larger ones.) The staff was friendly and quick. If you had an empty bottle or glass on the table, it was cleared away within 30 to 60 seconds (tested the whole afternoon/evening). A real plus point. I find the drinks quite expensive. (I have a business myself and I know what the drinks are purchased for.) The menu cards were nicely and clearly designed. + point. The food was of high quality. quality And I found the price justified Only with the children's dishes did I miss some smaller dishes and some simple things The price-quality-volume ratio is good but We had a little one with us of 1.5 years and there wasn't really a children's dish that suited her in terms of quantity We had the tasty kebab for her and it came with quite a bit of fries and salad In terms of quantity, half would have been enough Regarding the menu, I also find the selection a bit meager There is a lot of choice regarding fish And steak, spare ribs (those are really good!) But our mother isn't a big fan of that, so she felt there wasn't much left in terms of choice +/- points - shade cloths - price (find it quite pricey) - no small dishes - at the toilet a very large sink (60x40cm) and then such a small tap of 15 cm - staff did not give a receipt with the checkout - extra parking spaces could use some love (many holes) - wooden benches had no cushions + fast and good staff + high quality food + disabled toilet on both the ground floor and in the basement + elevator to the basement + nice appearance of the buildings and terraces + bottles of lemonade and Fristi have a hole in the cap for the straw + a drinking bowl is provided for dogs (I saw)

We ate here during a weekend getaway. The service was super hardworking and friendly. The food was delicious. It is a beautiful, large restaurant with a big outdoor terrace and plenty of parking spaces. The price and quality are definitely right. We highly recommend eating here.

Great place ! Indoor outdoor tables, comfortable for all ages. Very suitable for families with small kids. There's a small playground right outside in the restaurant area, with sandbox and tons of toys , really awesome! Food is delicious and comes quick, great variety, kind service. Highly recommended!

The service was good and friendly. I found the food less impressive. With a chicken sandwich, I expected pieces of chicken instead of a slice of deli meat with a sauce from a squeeze bottle. My husband had a farmer's omelet with hardly any mushrooms and very few side dishes. There was no choice between white or brown bread. At least, none of us were asked. My cappuccino wasn't even finished before it was taken away. The nice waiter was at our table very quickly for a second drink.

The restrooms are modern and in the basement; they were very clean. The only downside is the acoustics. Sound is barely dampened, if at all.

Upon arriving at the nearby holiday park, we ended up at Herberg Den Hemel because they were one of the few open on Monday evening. And all expectations were exceeded! Our meal was delicious, with fresh warm bread beforehand and delectable steak tartare with tuna tataki. We simply couldn't believe how easily the meat came off the bone of the spareribs, leaving the ribs completely clean! The atmosphere was truly top-notch to start our holiday, and it is also worth mentioning that the staff were super attentive and friendly. We would love to come back again if we are in the area!

An inn to get together... for something to eat and drink. And that is exactly what you do here! Pleasant atmosphere, attentive staff, and well-cared for. Diverse and tasty food. And affordable! That is nice too! The fish and meat lunch was a big hit. Everything looked delicious, by the way. Everyone was enjoying their meal.

Top location for just a cup of coffee, a lunch, a nice gettogether with family or friends. Place is also suitable for business meetings, weddings or other parties. Also good place to go with children, although the menu could use some children's dish additions, like a pancake. But the hosts are very flexible. Young people who work there are kind and hospitable. The name of this place is translated 'Heaven' and it presents itself as an Inn (herberg). It is also a historical location which dates as far as 1856. Defintely a must-try for anybody who wants to get acquainted with Dutch southern 'living the good life' (called Bourgondisch in Dutch).

It was downright bad. The steak was inedible, we got a new one that was exactly the same. Just bad meat. The lady was friendly, but the food was awful. So Never Again!

We stopped by on a Saturday evening without a reservation. We were immediately given a spot on the terrace. The children could play in the playground. Part of it is covered with a canopy to provide shade from the sun. After ordering, we received our drinks and meal very quickly. I ordered a veggie mix myself. Everything was very tasty. We could have ordered extra fries, but it wasn't necessary. A tasty and creative plate. Highly recommended for vegetarians and for those who aren't 😉 we will definitely be back!
