Très bon accueil très bonne fondues. Nous n'avions pas réservé mais c'est toujours mieux de le faire. Je recommande si votre hôtel est dans le quartier.

1 keer en nooit meer. 2x kaasfondue besteld met een vriendin: Zwitsers & truffel.Voor de prijs die je betaald zijn de porties bijzonder klein en de smaak is ook nog eens vrij flauw.Alleen brood erbij,voor groenten etc betaal je extra.Extra brood had gratis gemogen ,maar de kaas was eigenlijk al op voordat het brood op was.Je krijgt een vrij grote pan met heel weinig (flaue)kaas erin voor in verhouding veel geld.We hebben daarna maar elders nog iets lekkers te eten gehaald…

Cozy, fairly authentic cheese fondue restaurant in the middle of the Red Light District. Food good, service enjoyable.

This was my first time in Amsterdam, and my friend chose this place for dinner. I ordered a salad, but unfortunately, I wasn’t sure about all the ingredients, and it made me feel unexpectedly unwell, almost as if it contained something like THC. I’m not certain what caused this reaction, but I didn’t enjoy the experience, the waiter was very kind and thoughtful, offering me some tea to help me feel better, which I truly appreciated. However, I believe it would be helpful if the restaurant provided clearer information about the ingredients in their dishes to ensure a more comfortable experience for all guests.

Nothing special compared to other places where the cheese fondue was tastier and cheaper in price ratio! Mini dishes, tourist prices. Nice staff!

We ordered two main dishes: Spare Ribs and Kipfillet. Accompanied by wedges with fries. Everything was great, the atmosphere was incredible and the service was excellent and relaxed. Thanks to Pedro who served me.

A well-known address for me, I like to take people from outside the city here. Friendly and smooth service, the cheese fondue is excellent (only the extra dip vegetables that can be ordered are NOT vegetables...apple, pickle, etc.) otherwise absolutely great!

We went here for breakfast on the recommendations found on Google. I wanted a cooked English breakfast and this place has it on the menu. The lady serving us was lovely, but she wasn't the only person interested in us. The restaurant cat came over and was very friendly. We loved that he wanted to see us and it made our breakfast even better. I ordered the english breakfast which was lovely, while my wife had an omelette which she says was beautiful.

A fantastic opportunity to eat. The special is the Cheese Fondue, but there are plenty of other dishes to order. The prices are reasonable.

It is a nice place to take a break while walking around the city center. I think the prices are a bit expensive. We ate cheese fondue and had a glass of wine. You should definitely make a reservation for the evening hours.

We spontaneously dined at Het Karbeel with three people. Even though there wasn't really any room left for us, they ran after us and offered me a table for another hour and a half. We ate two different types of cheese fondues. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and accommodating. Clear recommendation!!!

Enjoy a delicious cheese fondue on Christmas Day. Had to drive over an hour for it, but it was well worth it! We had the La Truffe and the Karbeel cheese fondue. Both very tasty. In addition to bread, we opted for baptismal vegetables and charcuterie. Very tasty and more than enough. Will definitely come back.

Very cozy and atmospheric restaurant. We were a group of 7 and the service was great! The food was fine, the cheese fondue is tasty but not excellent, we had the suisse, Ancienne, Karbeel and the truffle and I think it could be a bit more flavorful. For that price you really have to work with good quality cheeses. Also to distinguish it from other cheese fondue restaurants! The suisse was unfortunately quite tasteless. The wines were very good en very tasty. Above all, it is a nice and cozy restaurant to sit with friends and/or family, or in our case with colleagues! So highly recommended! Two tips: make the cheese fondues a bit more flavorful, and work with real truffle instead of truffle oil, for example. And tip 2: it is way too hot at the back of the restaurant, despite the moderate fan! It was bloody hot :)

We had dinner at this restaurant, and it was absolutely fantastic! The truffle fondue was simply divine. On top of that, the service was impeccable: our waiter Francesco treated us with great professionalism and kindness, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. Nice place even if as soon as you enter you are pervaded by a penetrating smell of cheese but that's their specialty, the fondue... and then after a while you get used to it. Excellent dishes and the fondue is excellent, recommended.

I liked that the person serving me was friendly and non-racist. I ordered the Omelet Amsterdam and it was salty because it had ham and cheese in it. They gave me brown sauce and ketchup to sprinkle on, but I liked eating it plain, so I just sprinkled salt and pepper on it. I was a little disappointed that the omelette was small, so I also ordered dessert. I didn't know what to order, so I asked for a recommendation, and he recommended the most expensive one, so I ordered that. I think it took longer than the main menu. lol Dessert came out, and I was surprised that it was more generous than I expected. It comes with warm apple pie, cinnamon-flavored ice cream, and whipped cream with caramel sauce and apples sprinkled on top. I was so full that I couldn't eat it all, but it was really delicious. The apple pie was surprisingly sour, but the ice cream and sauce were very sweet, so it went well together. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, so I recommend giving it a visit!

Had a delicious cheese fondue at the Karbeel in Amsterdam with a delicious glass of wine. Reservations are not required but recommended. We had made a reservation and behind us were people who had not made a reservation and unfortunately everything was fully booked.

Het Karbeel remains one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. I love cheese fondue and Het Karbeel has a number of delicious variants on the menu, but it is also the atmosphere and friendly service that make me love coming there. You can enjoy it in peace and quiet, without being constantly asked if you are still satisfied and without the feeling that the table has to be sold again. I love music, but it usually bothers me in restaurants...not here!! It was another wonderful evening of honest food for a fair price in a homely atmosphere. Thanks!!

Cozy tent and delicious cheese fondue

Delicious Karbeel cheese fondue with some "baptismal vegetables". Nice restaurant and very friendly and attentive staff. We four seniors had a birthday boy in our midst and she was celebrated with a delicious dessert and a birthday fireworks. So thoughtful! Karbeel is definitely recommended.

Hola a todos. Normalmente no me gusta cenar en las calles ruidosas de Amsterdam. Muchos de estos restaurantes están dirigidos a turistas y por lo general la comida no es tan sabrosa. Escuché sobre este restaurante en TikTok y realmente quería probar Fondue. Pedimos a Fondue met truffel en gemarineerde champignons. Y también verduras cocidas, verduras crudas y papas para la fondue. Todo se preparó bastante rápido y la calidad de la comida era muy sabrosa. El camarero que nos atendió fue muy amable y nos ayudó mucho con la elección de los platos. Iré allí de nuevo en algún momento la próxima vez para probar otros tipos Gracias.

A very nice restaurant. The employees are very friendly. We had breakfast, an omelet and toast with beef croquettes, it was quite filling and delicious. It's not just a fondue restaurant, you can come at any time, morning, noon and evening.
