First time in a hot pot restaurant, and we enjoyed sooo much! Food was great but what really stood out is how nice and mindful the staff was, they noticed immediately if we needed something and made sure we know what to do and where is everything. Will definitely come back!

Very nice, I never tried hot pot before, but it was super, I really recommend, skip the skewers and go straight for the sliced entrecôte to dip in the pot.

It was very much worth the experience! We took the 3 different flavoured broths. We liked the hot one especially. For drinks we took the sweet & sour plum juice. It was so tasty that I asked for the brand and then i was told that she made it herself. After asking for a bottle she put a lot for us in two containers for us to enjoy at home. Perfect location for dinner plans!

Hot pot first timer🤷‍♂️ The food was excellent, wide variety of meats, skewers and vegetables to choose from. You should also try the desserts. Loved the presentation and vibe. Nice and attentive staff. Had a great meal and really liked the whole experience.

We saw their poster ads at the train station near the Wind Mills, they sure know how to get Chinese customers attention. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 2pm with 3 tables of customers, but by the time we left there were 10+ tables full of customers and most of them were not Chinese. You don't have to worry if you haven't tried this before as the wait staff are very patient at explaining how to order and cook. As a native Chrngduness, the flavor was not spicy to me, but good enough for this market. We ordered the lunch combo for two then added a few more items. Overall a good option for AMS.

We'd be happy to return. Reservations, orders, and payments were all digital and hassle-free. Friendly service, panda ears for the kids. For families with children who can already sit near a pot of boiling soup, friends, or colleagues, this is a great opportunity to eat, drink, and spend time together. The food was delicious, even for the kids.

We dined here 2 weeks ago and had the best hotpot experience ever! The staff were so kind and even gave little panda soft toys for the kids. The food was very nice and great value for money. There was also a spinning the wheel where you can win free drinks or meat etc which was also fun - I won a free glass of wine! Overall highly recommend it, and we will definitely visit again when we come to the Netherlands again. P.S. we have also recommended the restaurant to some friends living in the Netherlands and they will also visit soon :)

As a hot pot lover, this is a great place to enjoy a delicious evening with friends. The selection of dishes and the service were also excellent; I was definitely happy at the end and my stomach was full. It was worth the price for me.

Good Chinese hotpot. The restaurant gets very busy but it’s easy to make a reservation online. Good selection of meats and lots of vegetables to choose from. The mushroom plate is gigantic and big enough for 4 people

This is hands down the best dining experience I ever had in my entire life. I chose Yuan's hot pot for the start of my birthday party and it was the best choice I could've ever made. The staff is the nicest I've ever seen. The waiters & waitresses, cooks and and the boss are the nicest people on the entire planet. The food was exceptional - full of flavour and surprises. The prices are extremely low for what is being offered. The restaurant feels like home and creates an unforgettable atmosphere. Me and my friends felt treated like family which created a home-like atmosphere. There are no words that could express how much we enjoyed the entire experience. Thank you everyone for making my entire day and birthday amazing! I appreciate every single minute that I spent in the restaurant and I hope I can come back as often as possible. Special thanks to Hubert who provides the greatest service. Our first hot pot experience! And we were more than thrilled!

We were able to get a table without a reservation on Thursday 6:30. The meat quality and taste is really good, they have a good selection of meats and veggies, prices are reasonable and the sauces are really good. Also the taiyaki waffle is incredible!!

It was my first time eating hotpot, I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. They have a wide variety of options you can choose from the menu, also some vegan options if you’re into that. I’m used to Dutch spicy. So the mild spicy soup base was quite spicy for me, but it was good overall!

We payed about 30 US dollars for just water, it was absurd but the food was still good. If you are planning to go here, buy water from a store.

I had the pleasure of dining at Yuan’s and it was a fun and unforgettable experience in terms of flavor and service. When I explained this was my first time doing hot pot, the staff made sure to guide me every step of the way and make sure I was having a good time. They even helped me celebrate my birthday. In addition to friendly, efficient service, the food is quite flavorful. The broths were tasty and kept hot. The medium was too spicy for me but I still loved it. The meats, dumplings and vegetables were all delicious. The staff is awesome -all were helpful, thoughtful and attentive. I highly recommend checking them out. You will enjoy.

--- edit: owners' initial response --- I appreciate your honesty in admitting that the menu photos are not updated to match the new portion sizes, but it now feels like a bait-and-switch. If your menu shows 1 skewer for 1 euro, how is it ok to cut the skewer in half and still charge the same price? I would have appreciated it more if what I ordered matched what was advertised, especially at these price points. --- original review --- €60 for a vegetarian-heavy meal for 2 people is a bit expensive. Photos on the menu don't always match what you get - the menu shows 3 meatballs on the skewer but you only get 3 half-meatballs, or it shows a full skewer of beef when you just get a bacon-thin slice stretched over the skewer that dissolves in the soup. Service and atmosphere were nicer, but given the price it probably would not be financially responsible to come back.

Nice interactive formula that allows you to cook your own delicious food. Everything I tried (I've been twice) is very good and at a reasonable price for Amsterdam's average. Definitely deserves a try, recommended!

Fantastic experience! The iPad makes ordering super easy. You can choose up to three soup bases including vegetarian options and your desired spice level. There’s a great selection of ingredients including plenty of tofu, bean curd etc for a veggie/vegan source of protein. My partner is diabetic and was very happy to have Konjak noodles! The dipping sauce section is also great. Prices are very reasonable. Lastly, the staff were very friendly and helpful and explained the process well to us. Highly recommend trying this place!

I love this place- I bring all my friends that visit here!! I went yesterday for my birthday and they made it so special. They brought out a little dessert for me and sang “Happy Birthday”..then pulled out a tote bag full of free little Yuan’s Hot Pot gifts!!! THEN they also brought a free round of shots for all of us. They really went above and beyond, it felt so special. The staff is so sweet, I can’t say enough great stuff about this place :)

We came to Yuan Hotpot in Amsterdam and had a great experience overall. The location is excellent, and the price was fair, €110 for three people. The hotpot was quite spicy, even the medium level packs a punch. Just a heads-up: the spicier the broth, the saltier it seems to get. That said, the ingredients were super fresh, especially the meat. If you're a beef lover, don’t skip the sirloin beef; it’s hands down the highlight of the menu. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 mainly because of the dessert. We tried the pistachio mochi ice cream, and honestly, if I hadn’t been told it was pistachio, I wouldn’t have known. There’s definitely room for improvement on the dessert side. Still, for the hotpot itself, it’s absolutely worth it: authentic, tasty, and satisfying. Definitely worth doing for any hotpot lover or any person who wants to discover hotpot!

It just happened to be my mother's birthday. The store gave me a discount, gave me a small cake, put in candles, sang happy birthday to my mother, and gave me a lot of small gifts. I have had a good experience here several times before, and I must write a good review this time! Perfect service 💯My mother is so happy!

I recommend! The biggest surprise in Amsterdam. I had a late dinner with my daughter on Easter Monday. From the moment the customer enters, he or she is taken care of, shown to the table and pleasantly welcomed. The waitress explained everything to us in detail - how to compose your meal by ordering what you like on the tablet. A very simple and friendly form and you can order something at any time. This is our first visit to a hot pot restaurant and we loved it. From time to time, someone came up and asked with a smile if everything was OK. And most importantly, delicious, fresh food that we prepared ourselves by cooking in a large bowl with broth - soup - raw vegetables, meat, pasta or prepared dumplings, shrimps in tempura, skewers, etc. A culinary vertigo, a feast for the palate and other senses. In addition, a friendly atmosphere, smiling people and satisfied customers around. There was also a surprise for my daughter in the form of a headband with little pandas, which she received at the beginning of the meal and could take home. I definitely recommend visiting and experiencing the non-obvious formula of the meal. 5 stars is definitely not enough for this restaurant! Best regards to all the staff!

Very fun experience. At first i was a little overwhelmed but after a time i realised how it worked. The service was perfect, they explained it very well and helped us if we needed something. When its full it can be a little bit loud. I will definitely come again.

Is worth an experience. When you come in you are initially overwhelmed by smells and in the end you smell like a HotPot. We had a lot of fun and will definitely do it again. I recommend everyone to take the “package”, it is significantly cheaper than ordering everything individually.

The sour plum soup tastes very bland. After reporting it to the store manager, he sent me another batch (thank you!) but the taste is still very bland. If you want to drink sour plum soup, I recommend going to Zuid.

Best Hotpot, always good food there

We had a reservation yesterday at 21:15 and arrived 10 minutes early, only to find 13 other people already waiting outside, many of whom had reservations for 20:45 and 21:00. No one from the restaurant came to explain the situation, guide us, or even acknowledge our reservation. What is the point of booking a table if there’s no table available at the reserved time? disappointed, we ended up leaving 10 minutes later since we were still being ignored. Completely unprofessional and a terrible experience.

Four of us came without a reservation and were given a warm welcome and shown straight to a table. The service is exceptionally good, everyone is very friendly. The food comes super quickly, is super fresh and delicious. We were particularly impressed by the sauce station, where you can put together your own sauce. There are also many options for vegetarians here. We would always come back!
