This feels like ‘fast hot-pot’ to me. The essence of hot pot for me is to enjoy a slow warm meal surrounded by your loved ones. We were kicked out after 2 hours. I would never go back.

A fantastic hot pot place. My friends took me here to try it for the 1st time and I was left impressed. 1st before the food, the service and attitude of the staff is great. They take your coats to put them in a closet so they don't end up soaking up the smell. They are friendly and very helpful with whatever you need. The service is also quite fast. The food is ordered through a tablet which shows you everything you can order with pictures. They have a very large menu and I got to try things that I never would order otherwise because they have these €1 skewers that are for 1 serving. The soups that we tried were great (Mushroom base, low and medium spice). And if you don't know how to turn the heat up or lower it you can always ask the staff for help. They also fill it up throughout the dinner. They provide you an apron, and a hair tie if you ask. You make your own dipping sauce and add the sesame oil that is already on the table and you dive in. I got to try many different veggies, specialties and cuts of meat for ~35per person.

Hotpot was fresh and flavorful, and the staff were incredibly kind—waiting until we finished even though we arrived late. Only downside: parking nearby is pricey (€18 for under 2 hours)

The food was very good and the staff was very kind and helpful. The place was very noisy and while very clean and tidy it didn’t make it very pleasant to talk. The big issue of this place (but you can see it yourselves) is the price. The food is very very overpriced for what it is (I mean, the weight of those meat slices is very low), and also the quantity of the food is not stellar… but I get it’s not the point of such a place. Funny little place to go and eat nice food, but in my opinion one visit is enough

Disappointed with my visit. The pot was huge meant for 5+ people, but offered to everyone, which felt impractical. Soup bowls were too small and not clean. Service was poor—slow to bring spoons and bowls. Please improve portion sizes and hygiene.

This restaurant is an absolute disaster! The food is so bad it’s only fit for pigs or animals. It’s completely unsanitary – the place is filthy, and even their soup cups, which aren’t even meant for soup, were dirty. The service was atrocious, with rude staff who made the experience even worse. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They need to drastically improve their hygiene and service, and the food quality is just unacceptable. Avoid at all costs!

A completely different way of eating. It took some getting used to at first, but afterward, it was a pleasant experience and a great way to experiment with food and flavors. Everything arrived super fast, and the service was truly perfect. We'll definitely do this again.

The broth where you boil your food in is perfect. I always get the half-half tomato soup base in less spicy. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Genuinely the best and most fun eating establishment i have ever been. The food is great, the staff is really friendly, its a great atmosphere and the toilets were really nice. The pricing ranges from 20 to 50 euros depending on how much you eat. If i got the chance i would definitely go here again!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The ingredients are normal, and they also use frozen foods. The service is prompt and good. The hotpot soup is served in large quantities, and they will add more if necessary. The price is a little on the cheaper side. Overall it's good. Personally, I would be much more satisfied if the ingredients were a little more authentic, but I'm a foodie, and I think the quality is good enough for the average Dutch person. Reservation required.

Interesting experience. Great service. Food ... has potential, but it is up to you to make it. Guidelines about cooking time and other instructions seem to be very complicated, however you can do just fine even if you don't read it. Be careful about hot stuff, different foods absorb different levels of hot. The Tables are small, so big group of people would have to split, so can't share experience.

This was my first time trying hotpot, and it definitely won’t be my last! 🤞 The atmosphere was very cozy, the food was bursting with flavor, and the staff truly went above and beyond. I visited with a group, and one of us has multiple food allergies. The team handled it with exceptional care, ensuring everyone, allergies or not, could enjoy a safe and delicious dining experience. When a bit of wine was accidentally spilled, the staff responded fast, cleaning it up quickly and even offering wipes so we could treat the clothes and avoid stains. So, would I come back? Without a second thought!

I have always been a loyal customer of Yuan Ji. The hot pot base is rich and mellow, and the ingredients are very fresh. After one bite, you will be taken back to China. Highly recommended.

What an amazing restaurant! The food was out of this world, the best meal we had on our holiday. The service went above and beyond. They went the extra mile. They explained everything so well and constantly checked in on us during our meal, initiating lovely conversation and getting to know us. It was my birthday meal and the staff came to the table with mochi and a little candle in it ( so delicious!) as well as a panda teddy. When I didn’t think it could get any better, they gave me a complimentary Lychee tea (it was divine). I cannot recommend this place enough. If you want delicious (like insanely delicious) food, this is the place to go!

I absolutely loved Yuan's Hotpot! It is literally one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. The food is so yummy, and the staff is exceptionally sweet. Everything is super fresh and the broth is very rich in flavor. Loved the boba as well, they’re not too sweet and come in a fun cup. When they saw I was pregnant, they brought me a little panda to take home for the baby. So thoughtful! 🥹 Yuan’s Hot Pot is definitely an experience everybody should visit!! 🍲🥟🥢

I wanted my son to experience a true Chinese hot-pot. Yuan’s hot pot delivered the experience to the letter. The Szechuan spicy soup was proper my spicy. The chicken broth and mushroom soup we took as the mild alternatives were tasty. I love the fact they had the good parts like beef tandem and chicken feet and cow stomach. Service was also very good. The restaurant atmosphere is not that nice, but it is in line with what you have in Asia.

Frankly speaking, this brand is very famous. My friends in Sweden said that they didn't have to queue up last time they went there. We ate at a restaurant called Valley. The jelly was very cold, the skewers were average, and the rice was very hard, but the service was very good.

The environment of Yuanji is super clean and comfortable, and the decoration style is also very unique. It feels like returning to China. It's a great place for friends or family gatherings, and the staff is very welcoming and attentive even though it's busy. Their sauce section has a variety of toppings that you can mix and match. The most important thing is that the portions are generous and the food is served very quickly, so there is no need to wait at all. We also tried the special pot base and will definitely come back next time

This restaurant is really a must-try for hot pot lovers! The ingredients are very fresh and rich, the beef is particularly tender, the vegetables are super fresh, and even the tofu is more delicious than usual. We tried the signature pot base. The spicy pot was strong enough and the mushroom soup was particularly fresh. The combination was very satisfying. The environment is spacious and comfortable, not smoky like other hot pot restaurants. The price is reasonable and the quantity is large. The service is particularly warm and makes you feel like you are at home.

Book in advance; it's a busy place. We visited twice. The first time, on June 11th, we were absolutely thrilled with the food and service. Everything was explained to us, our orders arrived promptly, and our daughter was delighted with everything—from the children's utensils to the candies and panda headband. The second time, on August 13th, the service was much worse. The rice and noodles we needed to balance out the spicy food arrived closer to the middle of the meal, and they completely forgot the fried rice with egg we ordered (though when we reminded them, they offered to either have us wait or remove it from the bill). Tasty, but chaotic and a bit disappointing. Major pros: + Aprons are provided + They have children's utensils and chopsticks + The rice sticks are delicious—you could order just those + I also recommend the marble beef + Tasty sauces with their own sesame oil Cons: - They turn the stove up so high that the broth boils down quickly (though they come around with a kettle to offer more hot water)—in another hot pot restaurant we visited, the stove setting was more controlled - Not a great selection of seafood—limited and expensive

No trip to Amsterdam is complete without a meal at Yuan’s Hot Pot! This was my first time to this location as I was staying in Schipol. It was a 15 minute drive, so not too bad. Fortunately, I made a reservation earlier that afternoon for a party of 3; I recommend making a reservation through their website ahead of time. We ordered the half spicy and half tomato base soups and went to town on the ordering! Each table is provided a tablet to order each item, along with appetizers and drinks. Everything is reasonably priced and all the ingredients are fresh. The sauce bar is fully stocked and gives you a lot of options. The restaurant is busy, but the staff is very friendly and efficient. It is noisy, but not so much where you can’t have a conversation. I highly recommend coming here if you enjoy Chinese-style hot pot!
