Delicious Hotpot in a cozy restaurant, with ridiculously fast service! Nice choice with enough veggie and vegan options, also for the soup base of course.

Great food for an amazing price! This is my first time eating here and I will definitely be coming back again. Loved the spicy-sour broth of my màocài and the black fungi and rice cakes; everything was great! Xiáopan was my waiter and his service was excellent. Looking forward to coming again :)

True hot pot experience. We ate pescatarian so I cannot talk about the meat but everything else was great. The chewy tofu skin and the enoki mushrooms were our favorites. For the amount of food you get, the price is also justified. We got the mushroom base and the mild spicy base. I am someone who can tolerate spice but that definitely was not "mild". So fellow Europeans should watch out :) The staff was very nice and helpful.

I was so invested in the food I didn't even take more photos! Take that as a huge compliment. Huge selection, super fast and friendly service clearing the empty plates as we ate and answered any questions we had. Great little hangout spot, not going to lie I walked past it the first time trying to get there so be on the lookout 😂.

They have charged us for a dipping sauce we didn’t want. Then they have said they would remove it and in the end they didn’t. We’ve found when outside. 10€s wasted on 4 people.

A small restaurant where you can do various hot pots. We opted for 2 different broths, and both were delicious. The choice is very large and varied in terms of ingredients; there are plenty of vegetarian options, including for the broth/soup. Vegetables, meats, mushrooms, diferent types of noodles and tofu, there is a lot of choice. Something we really liked is the station where you can make your own sauce to dip the ingredients in. There are ‘recipes’ shown you can recreate, but of course you can create your own sauce! We were kindly served and had a delicious meal and experience. I definitely recommend it and will come back again soon!

Delicious food and helpful staff. Here you can cook your meat and vegetables in a soup of your choice, and pair it with rice or noodles. Good food, good location but the service wasn't as good as you may expect. I had to inform them that we still hadn't received our drinks and even when we still were expecting a dish to arrive, the waitress started to clean up our table which felt a bit inconvenient. Toilet is downstairs in the basement. If you like to freeze while peeing, this is the place to go!

I like spicy food, but even the medium flavor is quite spicy. Unless you like everything in the set menu. Although it is cumbersome to prepare everything one by one, it is better than ordering a set menu. It was more cost-effective to choose what I wanted and order it. It's not cheap, but I think the quality is this good in Europe. The staff were also friendly

When the food makes up for the rest! Loved the food we received at this delicious place. However, If I give my opinion I want to do this in all honesty. The lights inside are not warm and do not give any cozy feeling at all(something to think about). There was a door in the hall way, but this was not used. Meaning in winter months it can be very cold if people keep coming in and out with nothing to block this coldness. (something to think about) . When we came in, it was our first time. We are not so digital and wanted a reall menu, however it took some time before anyone came to us to ask if we understood how to order or how it works. (again, something to think about, especially non digital people and foreigners) . Nevertheless, the food was De-Li-Cious! and definitely made up for all the little things. But as tip, I would for sure change the colors of your lights! :)

One of the best ways to eat. Varied, delicious, fun and interactive. Lovely fresh ingredients, tasty broths to cook them in, and customizable sauces for the dunking. Staff was fast, friendly and helpful. It is a bit cramped, but it's in Amsterdam's city center so that's to be expected.

Why would you accept a reservation for 21:15 and start removing the sauces and shutting down music and lights at 22h? You were clear about the kitchen closing time but not about when you wanted to close the restaurant and it very much affected our experience. Given that it was an important dinner for a special occasion really sucked for us and I regret the choice.

Everything was OK. Though it was nice having hot pot available here and the service was great. I appreciated the decent variety on the menu. DIY sauce bar is disappointing.

We found Hot and Hot a bit by accident. We took the indicated table, scanned the QR code and went to the menu, added selected dishes and drinks to the cart and ordered. Less than 30 seconds later, a waitress appeared at our table and informed us that the selected dish was spicy and asked if we really wanted to eat it. The food was prepared on site, we waited about 10-15 minutes. It was delicious and the portions were really generous. It's worth it!

The food is very good. It’s one of the best hot pot restaurants in the Netherlands. The waiters are warm and considerate.

I was surprised by the good reviews of the place. I would rather recommend going to Yuan’s hotpot. The food was sad. The soup ok, the meat not very fresh, the beef tongue and ribeye of poor quality. Furthermore, the dumplings were frozen and the lotus was sliced too thick so took a long time to cook. The instructions were messy and the temperature in the restaurant way too cold. I can understand the latter in case all the hotpots were on, but in our case the whole restaurant was empty. Might have a cold tomorrow. Ps: look at the ceiling for a nice surprise 🤢

The menu is meat heavy, but we choose the 2 vegan broths, dipped mushrooms, tofu and veggies in. So as a vegan it was a great meal, very flavourfull. My favorite was the mushroom broth and making your own dipping sauce.

The hotpot was delicious!! I think it would be better to choose what you want to eat rather than eating it as a set! I ordered the spicy soup and the mushroom soup, but even level 1 spiciness was spicy enough.

Foodquality of the chicken was poor: lot’s of greasy parts and connective tussue, with hardly meat in between. Service was excellent: Kind and quick! Atmosphere and venue: slick floors, steamy air, ‘cold’ white lights (ongezellig), dirty ceilings, noisy, Bathroom: no towels in the toilet, toilet paper out of reach

Typical Chinese restaurant! Love the food selection, soups, dipping sauces and the best part is when I request the chilli's oil (typical hotpot restaurant will have this) they give it to me. Would love to visit again when I go to Amsterdam again! Kudos to u guys!

Super tasty food with lots of flavor!! And it is also delivered very quickly. The only point is that there are a lot of stimuli in terms of sound and light.

The hot pot is unpalatable, the spicy pot is only spicy but not fragrant, the beef is completely stale and the dipping sauce has no taste. The songs played are still ugly. Jay Chou’s most ugly songs have been played by you all😅

Your maocai is really unpalatable. It's slightly spicy, as if you boiled something with Maoxuewang soup and added water. Except for the spiciness diluted by adding water, it has no taste at all. I’m convinced that a dish like Maocai, which doesn’t require any cooking skills, can be made so delicious. Are you even reluctant to add some MSG to the pre-made soup dumplings? The maocai served in this restaurant is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in the Netherlands! If it just tastes bad, forget it. I have a headache + vomiting and diarrhea the next day after eating it (seriously suspected to be caused by food poisoning). Is it because the fungus has been soaked for several days? Will never go to this store again!

After spending 15 days in Europe, we concluded that this is our “meal of the trip”. The local/European food were really not great (or probably not for us). We came across this hotpot place by luck (thankfully) and it was really good! Will definitely patronise again in my next trip to Amsterdam.

A plate of meat is pitifully little, the average cost per person is nearly 50, and we are not full.

You cook your own food, boil it, change the taste thanks to different sauces. And the best part is that after such a meal there is no feeling of heaviness in the stomach. For 4 people we ordered a set and additionally shrimp, 3 types of mushrooms, and wine, we paid 200 euros. I recommend it.

still my favorite hotpot in amsterdam. second time visiting. it is quite pricey but the soup is amazing. nothing special about the meats but the soup is all you need. i did not order much because i only came for the mala soup. the staff are lovely and do their best to serve you even when they are busy.

I have to say that if you want to try a real traditional Hot Pot the way they make it in China, you have to go to this place. It is a little expensive, but the food is wonderful, they have an a la carte menu and you can take all the ingredients you want, it is also suitable for people who DO NOT EAT SPICY

Came for the hotpot because of the reviews but was thoroughly disappointed. We are huge hot pot eaters and this was the first time we didn’t enjoy a hot pot. The meat (lamb and beef) were cut so thick and weren’t that fresh. They were very tough to chew and the worst we had. The broth was decent. The dipping sauce selection was incredibly basic, especially when they were charging 3 for it. The other dishes we ordered were above average, having better dipping sauce would have improved the favor. But the vegetables did seem fresh with Ok portion sizes. Service was good and fast, nothing extraordinary but met all needs.

It's a bit average. I feel that many of the ingredients are not very fresh. The beef balls in the meatballs are very fishy and the quality of the meat is also very average. The spicy beef is not very delicious... It is better to eat hot pot at home...

If you like spicy food, then Hot and Hot Chinese Pot is definitely the right place for you. Not expensive and portions are large. In the HotPot you can create three separate cooking areas, so that not everything has to be cooked in the most hot (pepper) soup. Pair it with a delicious Chinese beer (bottle) and your evening will certainly be a success. Make sure you have cold water afterwards because you will get thirsty....

next time yuans hot pot again. service is very untrained, no welcoming no explanation of anything, how would i be able to tell the difference of beef and lamb? we were charged double for the dip sauces, as we thought we would order first a l a cart but then decided to take the set menu. i mentioned it to the staff and when checking out it was still on the menu, took them 10min to remove it and then brought a check of another table. its an old and dirty place, as soon as you go down to the toilets you can smell it already.

Too bad the ventilation system didn't work, I suffered too much from allergic reactions.

Food was fine, 0 explanation about the concept and appearance was not really pleasant.

As a regular customer who has been to this hot pot brand for a number of times in Zeedijk, Museumplein and Rotterdam, I have decided not to return to this place ever again and informed all my acquaintances and everyone not to do so. Here is what have exactly happened: 1. Illegal worker situation: last June I was eating here with friends. And all of sudden, labor security check staff showed up. It was a planned checkup with preparations since they showed up in order with casual clothing to disguise. The waitress took them as customers at first until they all showed their licenses. All the operations were stopped in the restaurant and all people working there were assigned to each security check member to show their IDs and have interrogations. They were being asked questions with equipments such as laptops to record and id scanners to verify everything. You don’t see this happen in reality very often. I was shocked and was told not to order anything new because every people working there was under interrogation. Any person with common sense is aware that labor check department doesn’t just mob a place in a manner like this with no beforehand evidence of illegal activities. It could be people employed there having no visas, work permits or legal contracts. You don’t expect sitting in a random restaurant at 7pm non office hours with people walking in to check if people working there have permits. This is not normal and I found this sketchy. 2. The last time I walked into this restaurant was 14th march 2024 around 2pm. The waiter was wearing black round shaped glasses, who I have met multiple times, was as rude as usual. A small guy comes with big attitudes. He reminds me of a barking chihuahua. He was a control freak telling me where to sit and where not to. I asked him if I could sit somewhere else, his claim was the air circulation there was not good and appointed me to sit at one area specifically . I finally sat down in that area at a table for 4 people and there were about many empty tables for 4 people in the same size at that time. He approached me again with his controlling abusive attitude telling me not to sit there but to sit somewhere else in his appointed area. I asked him what the differences between here and there were. I already sat in the area he insisted me to sit down. Again he was using his weird attitudes and excuses telling me if I sit somewhere else, he could make more space for new people when there weren’t so many customers at 2pm. But considering what I said, a workplace lacks of respects to its own employees, what kind of attitude can you expect. I was rudely confronted by him to appoint me sit down here and there and discriminated because I came alone. He needed more space for other people. If your employer doesn’t treat you right, it is also not a wise way to transfer that to your customers. Maybe try labor check department. Once again, after being a customer for so many years, what happened has made me decide not to return to this place where has no respect to its employees and customers. The food was good. I always enjoyed it. But I would rather eat somewhere with integrity. At least you don’t get interrupted by labor department while eating there to check if everyone is legally employed. 16th March reply on what Hot and Hot has commented on this review: Firstly, thank you for your reply on this busy weekend. This reply finally shows someone working here has received proper customer service training or having enough social etiquettes to communicate with people. However, reality was the opposite to me as I have been here multiple times being treated terribly by the above mentioned person. His attitude stinks and I don't mind just reinforcing AGAIN AND AGAIN. There is nothing to overturn this FACT. Secondly, even though labor check can show up randomly without notification. They can still come when they figure something illegal happening there. These two situations are different and you cannot just say it was random without any proof.

Pretty solid hot pot for Amsterdam, and where we sat had good ventilation (important for clothes to not get too smelly). The soup could have been more flavorful and the cheapest beef was too chewy, but I would return again and try other foods.

Nice experience in a bad accommodation. Reservations were made from half past eight in the evening, but after half an hour the kitchen closed and you had to have already placed all your orders. Next time to Yuan

Delicious food and friendly staff. Restaurant itself is utilitarian like most on the zeedijk, but the soup bases taste fab, there are loads of side options and the suggested dipping sauces really add to it.

Hot pot is delicious, service is terrible! My father is older and wanted to move to a position without vents above his head. The waiter became impatient and kept a cold face, as if we were ignorant. The service staff have no basic courtesy, which is really rare.

We went with three people, but when we ordered four or five more for the two-person set, we thought we would be full. I barely ate it all.. haha And the mildest spiciness soup was spicier than I expected. The mushroom soup is really delicious, so I recommend it.

Mostly I had never put any negative reviews, but this time is my exceptional. I tried Hot&Hot for the 2nd time. 1st was near De Pijp location, it was nice with a really nice service which I think is the most important thing besides the food. But this time was yesterday at Zeedijk location, food was so so, nothing special but can be acceptable, there was a nice waiter but the waitress acted like we were begging for food. She served us by throwing food on our table. There was no smile or even a bit friendly from her.

The food was amazing, especially the minced shrimp with the spicy soup. There is a lot of variety and freedom in customising your dining experience. From selecting your preferred broth and combining it with ingredients to your liking and making your own dipping sauce. The service was really good with helpful and friendly staff. They explain the concept clearly and are always ready to answer any questions you may have. Service was really fast too. The interior is decent but it can be a bit cold during the winter since the heater isn’t working.

We've been to Rotterdam for our first Hot&Hot experience, Hot pot Wang explained everything and made the experience amazing! However, when we went to the Zeedijk location, it was not as great. The tables and hot pots are smaller, the tables are way too close together. The vents for the air are not directly above the tables so I sneezed and coughed the whole time. The spicy fumes really sting in your nose because the vents are insufficient. The food was amazing, nothing to complain there. Be mindful they only have bubble tea in Rotterdam and Utrecht, bummer!!

If there's one thing I'm going to miss about Amsterdam, it's going to this Hot Pot. The waiters explain everything perfectly, the products are fresh and everything is delicious. One of the best experiences.

Hot in the truest sense of the word. We were there for lunch and were thrilled with the food. Fresh and fiery. The broth in which the respective ingredients were cooked was incredibly delicious. The service was super nice and very accommodating. You can order directly from your cell phone by scanning a code. that is also very pleasant. All in all the place is super hot with good spicy food.
