Nice people, don't speak great Dutch, unfortunately did get food poisoning, not recommended...

It's not bad for a Korean restaurant in downtown Amsterdam.

안녕하세요, I’m Salma from Egypt, and I visited the restaurant twice during the three days I spent in Amsterdam. It was actually recommended through an Egyptian facebook community where we share our favourite restaurants, and IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT ONE BIT !! Korean food has been my favourite cuisine for a long time. I tried many korean places in Cairo and Paris, and this restaurant is hands down on an entirely different level, it just hits the spot ! I originally planned to visit only once but apparently once wasn’t enough, I came a second time and it was just as amazing. That bibimbap I had still lives in my mind rent free. The food did not just fill my belly but also my heart. Dare I say I even fell in love. I read on their website that the goal is to let people experience real authentic Korean cuisine, just like in Hongdae. If this is what it actually tastes like over there, then I can’t wait to visit South Korea someday. I know this is supposed to be more about the food than anything else but thank you 홍대 team, I’ll definitely remember you for a long time.

If you've been in Europe for a while and are craving Asian food, this is a great option. It might not be as good as the authentic Korean flavors, but it's definitely a good choice.

I went in because I was craving Korean food, and it turned out to be tastier than I expected. The japchae had a large portion, and the noodles seemed a bit overcooked... but considering the quality, it was excellent. The gimbap was delicious, and the mango ice cream I had for dessert was also tasty. The staff were all friendly, and I was happy that the air conditioning was on despite it being such a hot day.

We had the korean fried chicken, japchae, bibimbap and peach bingsu and everything was delicious! Tasted authentic as I when I was in South Korea just two months ago. Also, great service and friendly staff. Would recommend

I have taken large groups (35+) to this wonderful restaurant for 3 years in a row. I cannot fault it. It has my highest recommendation. The food is always on point, with large portions too but it is the warmth of service that brings us back. Helen and her team are super.

Very dry and blend chicken for 16€ wouldn’t recommend!! 3€ extra cost for sauce which isn’t enough for the chicken.

Usually love coming here but this was the first time we ordered a bottle of water. When I looked at the bill it was 7.50. I was shocked. The server says it’s Amsterdam. Girl I’ve been living Amsterdam a long time and 7.50 is ripping people off.

The corndog and seafood pancake is really yummy!! I also tried the fried chicken with soy garlic sause but it was quite sweet and you couldn’t taste any garlic, little disappointed with that but overall still a nice place to go eat and chat with friends!! Really good service!

Had a really enjoyable time here yesterday! We were seated right away and our waitress was very nice and attentive. The Korean fried chicken was super crispy and delicious and our cocktails were great too. Would highly recommend

Really good place to have a dinner with friends! Grab a starter per person or to share, main course and finish with a dessert. The portions are reasonable and so was the pricing for a place in the middle of Amsterdam. Staff very friendly, chill and nice making the whole experience feel even more welcoming and easygoing. Additionally, huge thumbs up for available vegetarian options of the main meals. The only thing that left me a bit disappointed was the whisky drink with “infused tea” (don’t really remember the actual name) the drink was supposed to be a classic korean specialty I assume… However, it didn’t not land well and it tasted like whisky mixed with sparkling water. Other than that, it was GREAT! I’d recommend this place if you are craving some Korean food, just skip on that one drink.

What a surprise this restaurant was! We were in the area looking for a place for a quick, not to complicated meal and went to Hongdae. I went for the korean fried Rice bowl and holy moly what a tasty dish it was! Also the korean fried Chicken we ordered afterwards was truly amazing! I’m still dreaming about their umami fried Rice and hope to be able to make it at home too one day 🤩

Great place near Leidseplein to share some plates with your friends, delicious fried chicken and in overall great ambience and friendly staff! Really enjoyed my time here! The bingsu (shaved icecream) is delicious!

The worst restaurant I met during my trip. We were 3 people and waited for an hour. Other people who arrived later were seated before us just because they were a group of six. However, the table was seated by three white man before. Then, another group of five arrived and were seated first. i think the waitress was racist and very enthusiastic towards white people. Moreover, the Kimchi is the worest dish I tried, other Korean use pork, however, this resturant use sausage. Really unhappy with the service and the taste

The best Korean restaurant in Amsterdam. Whenever my husband and I are in the area, we ask our daughter to make a reservation so the three of us can eat. The chicken, shrimp, vegetables are all perfectly cooked, there has never been a time when something wasn't very good! The staff is very friendly. I recommend it with all my heart!

Great Korean restaurant in a perfect location near Leidseplein. We ordered the classic fried chicken and the cheese powder chicken, seafood pancake, corndog, cheese corn and pickled white radish —everything was incredibly flavourful and well balanced. I also appreciated that you can choose between normal or boneless chicken. If you go for the normal version, they give you gloves so you can eat it just like in Korea, which adds to the experience. For drinks, they offer classic Korean beers like Cass and Terra, as well as a nice selection of cocktails and Korean alcohol such as soju and makgeolli. The staff were very kind, attentive and helpful. Definitely worth visiting.

I come here regularly with my son and daughter these days. Initially, it was because my 9-year-old daughter is crazy about Korean food. Now, I'm the one asking her if she's in the mood for Korean food, hoping she'll say YES😄. The food here is truly delicious and the service is top-notch! The staff is super friendly, and the manager/hostess (I think) is a real star too! If you haven't made a reservation, she always does her best to get a spot for you. If you're in the mood for Korean food, this is highly recommended!

We had to wait a few minutes, because we did not have a reservation. So i‘d recommend to reservate if you‘d definetly like to eat here. The Food was not the best we‘ve ever had, but still good and tasty. Just because it wasn’t that insane, it would be unfair to just give 4 Stars. But don’t expect too much regarding the Food. Although the prices are pretty fair.

The food was top-notch; it was my first time here. Everything about the food was explained well, and they were super friendly to answer any questions we had. We had red wine, which was actually quite tasty too. For dinner, we chose only items from the bites menu so we could share everything. We will definitely come back again!

We didn’t reserve a table at this place, but luckily they still had some space to fit us in. First of all, the service is very friendly and kindhearted. The food was sooooo tasy!!! It probably arrived 6 Minutes after ordering. We had the corndogs, bibimbab? and korean fried chicken (boneless) and it was very delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice. One of the best Korean restaurants in Amsterdam! Great food, great atmosphere, and quite a lot of options to choose from. Their fried chicken and tokbokki weren’t my favourite, but their dishes are good overall, and their corndogs are really special!

Okay, seriously, this place is amazing. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are genuinely the sweetest and cutest people ever! If you want great korean food, this is your spot. 10/10 must visit!

We came here as a group of four and left very happy! The food is impressively authentic — as close as it gets to what you’d find in Korea. They even serve makgeolli, which is quite rare to find in Amsterdam. I really liked their bingsu and can definitely recommend saving some space for this traditional Korean dessert — though that might be difficult, since the rest of the food is also excellent. We tried almost all the starters; the corn with cheese was a bit ordinary (it’s just corn with cheese, after all), but everything else was great. For the chicken, we preferred the traditional sauce slightly more than the soy and ginger one, but both were good. Kimbap was super good and full of ingredients. Service was fast and attentive. I would only improve the atmosphere: it felt too simple, I would make it a bit cozier. Overall, highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal with very attentive service. I've rarely seen anyone in the hospitality industry smilingly hang up streamers for one of their regulars. It's always a good sign when the people working there seem to be enjoying themselves too.

One of the best Korean restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal with colleagues for a reasonable price. But one thing is certain: the food quality is 10+. Been there many times: the hospitality is 10+. Located right in the city center, close to work, it's a great place to enjoy a meal and the atmosphere. Recommended for any occasion.

This was my first time eating Korean food in the Netherlands, and it was so delicious. It suited my Korean palate and the portions were generous.

I always love coming to this place. The food tastes absolutely delicious, fresh and authentic! The bulgogi fried are a musttttt try!!!! It tastes bomb! The soup garlic fried chicken and the parmesan fried chicken were also super delicious and crispy. The corndog was also super tasty! Loved the crispy and cheesy combo! The staff are also nice and they have a big space. Although I recommend reservation.

Noticing the seemingly high number of Korean restaurants in Amsterdam, I had to try one. After seeing the other reviews, I decided on Hongdae and it did not disappoint! I tried the classic boneless fried chicken and it was well balanced between sweet and tangy. I also had the chicken mandu which wasn't bad but tasted very Dutch to me, sort of like bitterballlen was mixed into it. I also had the kimchi, of course, which was good but very mild. For a cocktail, I had the Seoul Mule which was really delightful. For reference, I am from the southwestern part of the US and my mom is from South Korea so I grew up eating very spicy food so I'm sure for local tastes the spice level is fine. I was seated pretty quickly as a solo diner at 19:00 on a Saturday night but if you have 3 or more people, I recommend making a reservation since those folks had to wait. Parties of 2 seemed to get seated pretty quickly as well but I would still make a reservation. The staff were all very friendly and the service was great. It's definitely worth a visit!

One of my Fav restaurants in Ams! Definitely need a reservation. Can be quite busy, however service is super fast! Been there more than once, also price quality reflects the product!

The design of the place is charming and it has a really nice atmosphere. The food is really delicious and authentic. The staff was not nice and unhelpful, they did not explain the dishes properly when we asked and as a result we received several dishes that were very spicy beyond the level we could eat and they were just thrown in the trash. In addition, you should know that there is no option for non-mineral water and they charge a disproportionate price of 3.5 euros for a 250 ml bottle.

Delicious food for a good price. We were in a separate group room with 10 people, very relaxed, but the room itself could use a bit more ambiance, like Korean paintings or something. (I did miss a bit of Korean decor.)

Really nice place with good service

What a nice restaurant! We had a little bit of everything and shared among us which was what the waiter suggested us to. I can’t remember the names of all the dishes but we had the chicken, dumplings, fried rice, kimchi, french fries etc. We also went for the beer/jinro package who’s was a great combo. We are very happy with our choice of restaurant. The fact that it all summed up to app. 100EUR for the three of us makes it very affordable as well.

Was happily surprised by this place, we tried some things we hadn't ever had before and it tasted amazing, plus the service was great. Even the price was pretty good! Only thing to improve was that the chairs make a lot of noise when moving them, so it was difficult to head each other at times.

Beautiful restaurant with really good food and friendly, professional service. One small downside: it was very crowded, and the noise level was quite high, making conversation difficult at times. Reserving a table in the evening is highly recommended; it's very easy to book online. PS: Going to the restroom is an "experience" 😉

Friend made a booking for a group of 8. The team was friendly, service was great and food was even better. I had ordered the ginger tea, Japchae, seafood pajeon and shared the soy garlic chicken with 2 other people. We got the largest size and it was sufficient.

It's not bad, but it's a bit pricey. The taste is just okay. It doesn't taste exactly like Korean food, but it's a bit sweet. I don't expect much Korean food in a foreign country anyway, so it's okay.

We were there today and the food was delicious. The service was friendly, but there were some difficulties understanding the music because it was a bit loud (but fine for conversation at the table). The only drawback is the restrooms; I had a lot of trouble getting in because they're extremely small. I think a stocky person, a very tall person, or someone with walking difficulties might not even be able to get in at all.

Outstanding Korean street food place, to be honest we were lucky as soon after we were sat down a queue started to form. Service was fast and the food was outstanding, we shared the kimbap sushi and the 8 piece fried chicken, which was all perfect. The chicken was especially amazing, crunchy, sticky and spicy, along with being absolutely perfectly cooked. Saw so many other dishes coming out and would have been happy if any of them had come to our table.

I would give it 3.5. The waiting line was not very friendly at first, and the principle was very strong, so if there are more people, it is recommended to make a reservation. The seaweed rice rolls were just average, the taste of the fried rice cakes was also average, and the fried chicken tasted okay, but the batter was too thick and looked big.

I ate there with a friend. We took the fried chicken with the classic sauce, the japchae and the kimchi pancake. All the food was reeeally reeeaally delicious ! For the desert we took the strawberry and cheesecake bingsu. It was not really good, it was tasteless. The service was really good and the staff very nice. Would recommend it 100% !

Highly recommended for good Korean Fried chicken!! The chicken was so crunchy and tasty, I can dream about it. We also had the bulgogi kimbap and sweet potato fries which were also very tasty. The service was great and the atmosphere was very cozy all in all a nice dinner experience.

We cruised past a lot of menu boards on the street before choosing to eat here. One of our favourite restaurants back home in Canada is a Korean Chicken place, plus we spent 3 days in Seoul last fall and so it was an easy decision to check this place out. Our food arrived quickly and the server recommended the new beer they were carrying for Amsterdam’s 750th. The glasses are only 250ml which is smaller than we’re used to and expecting for beer, but it was really good. The boneless chicken (smaller size) came with a small salad and pickled radish. It was ample for two people when combined with corn cheese, more pickled radishes, and chicken dumplings. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal!

Wow wow I enjoy this restaurant every time. The corn dogs and chicken are delicious by the way their cocktail with strawberry soju too! People are super sweet and thoughtful. A bit on the pricey side but super worth it

Me and my family’s favourite Korean restaurant in Amsterdam. Always love coming back for their delicious Korean friend chicken, the cheesy corn, corn dogs & of course bibimbap. All the staffs are very friendly and always squeeze us in even without a booking, but of course I recommend you to book/call the store beforehand. ♥️♥️♥️

If you are really hungry for Korean food, I recommend coming here instead of anywhere else. The chicken was less spicy and sweeter, but the quality was good. The kimchi fried rice was the same as the PC room kimchi fried rice. I didn't know I would see the ginseng spoon here, but I was happy. Have a good time~
