It’s very nice to find a korean place which serves not only fried chicken/bbq, but also authentic bibimbap! You can order through qr code on the table, that is pretty convenient. Rice and sauce are served separately, which I liked. Very tasty! Definitely coming back for trying more dishes!

This place rocks. The food is really good, although i keep getting the same thing cause it's so good so i'll rephase and say the Korean Fried Chicken is amazing. Plus, the service was really nice. The guys were friendly and super helpful. Recommended!

This place, run by a true Korean, was a hit during my trip to the Netherlands. It seemed to capture the authentic flavors of Korean food, and it felt like I was back in Korea. If I ever crave Korean food while traveling, I'll definitely come back here. It was delicious! 🥰

i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Korean food here! i tried the korean chicken and kimbap and both were very tasty. it’s a bit of a casual spot but perfect for a nice and quick meal.

The food was between boring and gross. Flavorless and greasy. No service, QR code ordering. Loud K-pop in the background. Pricey for what you get. Bad experience, wouldn’t recommend.

Friendly staff & delicious food!

Tried to have lunch here on a friday, on their website it says they’re open from 12pm, but they were closed om arrival!

I have eaten at this place multiple times. The food is DELICIOUS. But when i arrived today, at 09:30 pm, and expected to be seated(because on google it said that they were closing at 10:30 pm). This time a lady asked if we wanted to eat in, and we said yes, then she said it wasn't possible, but we could take away(we were okay with that). But she suddenly said she needed to check if the kitchen was still opened. She came back up and said that the kitchen was closed(AN HOUR BEFORE). We were very dissapointed, because we travelled for a long time and we thought we were on time. Please change the closing times on google!!

Super delicious food! Very friendly staff! We tried the menu and the fried chicken was incredibly delicious (I recommend the honey garlic)! The portions are generous. It's a smaller place and was quite busy when we were there; therefore, it's also very noisy, but that's how it is in the big city 😄 We'd love to come back!

Highly recommend this restaurant.What I liked most was the squid with a soft texture, tender vegetables, soft rice that sometimes stuck to the plate was delicious. I had it with a bowl of steamed white rice and Korean fried chicken too with traditional sauce, which balanced the spiciness perfectly

Ordered the classic checken and the garlic honey chicken… taste: far below average. The chicken wasn’t crispy on the outside, and not tender on the inside. A tough chew! This was the first and last time, unfortunately.

The staff is not friendly (with glasses) speaking in a very impatient way with a bad attitude. Other girl is nice. The food is not bad just not that fresh.

Very authentic Korean shop! As someone who loves Korean food and goes to Korea every year, I must say this place offers very good quality food, close to the taste of what I have in Korea. It was so good we came back the second time Service was excellent on my first day, very friendly staff. However it kinda fell short on my second time, hope it was just one of those not so good days

Street food should not mean not tasty food. Everything was very average, this is not place that I would recommend to anyone who is loving Korean food.

The food was delicious! Very affordable! The Korean service left something to be desired, did not look at us and almost threw the stuff on the table... The food did not come at the same time. There was quite a lot of time between all the ordered dishes while we really had 4 main courses. I started on my soup because it was getting cold, there was about 10 minutes between all the courses. So we really had to eat in turns while we all wanted to enjoy it together.

The manager and part-time workers are very friendly and the food is really delicious ☺️🩵

The food wasn’t great, we ordered some spicy pork and we couldn’t get any rice because it wasn’t ready…🤔 For me it’s a place for students with low expectations regarding the food or the quality. It’s a korean fast-food

Recently opened new Bab location. Compared to the other locations the food just wasn’t the same — it was decent but not amazing. I do wish the space was just a little less crowded or cozy. Not a bad choice in de pijp for Korean food but not my first pick either.

Amazing authentic Korean food, great atmosphere. With Korean music in the background overall feels like you are in Seoul and not Amsterdam. My favorite dish is the Bulgogi Dub Bab, really delicious! And they bring free side dishes just like in Korea (many Korean places in Europe don’t do that but it is standard practice in Korea)

Amazing Korean experience, the quality of ingredients is very high and the spices are on another level. Great place totally recommend it!

Although we take into account that the price is really different from the price in Korea, I think the taste should be average by Korean standards. It's a pity that the taste is not as good as the food stalls or franchise restaurants on the streets of Korea. Assorted Tteokbokki - The rice cakes are not seasoned and the seasoning has a strange fishy taste. Kimchi Pancake - It was so oily and thick that it felt like I was eating a savory dough on the inside rather than the outside.

The menu has changed from the pictures. There was only one vegetarian option. Do not go here if you are vegetarian.

A bit on the expensive side for a “bar food” concept, but the dishes were delicious. Service was also very friendly and quick. The place is quite small and intimate so I’d recommend to make a reservation. We shared the beef bulgogi, pork and squid, and scallion pancake. I found it strange that you had to pay extra for white rice, especially at an Asian place where it's supposed to be a given staple/side dish to the main...

Nice place, a bit empty for a Thursday evening but that doesn’t matter as I ordered take-out. Nothing wrong with the food - not mind blowing either. So 23 euro’s for an average sized portion bulgogi and a very, very tiny portion of rice is kind of sad. For comparison, nobody would pay 17 euro’s for fries with mayo in Seoul - that’s preposterous. And to add some context: I finished the dish with one hand while typing this review. Now I’m sad and still hungry. The agony.

I happened to come across this while looking for a Korean restaurant in Amsterdam, and I was very satisfied. It was much more delicious than the ones sold at Korean snack bars! I think I will definitely stop by next time I go to Amsterdam!

Menus suitable for drinking. The iron plate and potato pancakes were delicious, and the kimchi hotpot was so-so.

After reading the reviews on the internet, I went there nervously deciding whether to eat kimchi fried rice or bibimbap, but unfortunately, I couldn't find the menu I expected, as they changed the name to The Bab Pocha and changed the menu, or maybe they only do pocha business in the evenings. The stir-fried pork that I ordered was delicious, although it had a bit of a meaty smell. It seems like the store crew can all speak Korean. Only cards are accepted for payment.

This place is the real deal. Their tteokbokki set and Jeongol Bulgogi are so good they might just make you question all your life choices up to this point. Totally worth a visit. Easily one of the best Korean joints around Amsterdam!

My wife and I were eager to check out this place once we found out it was open, even though we'd already eaten dinner 😅. It's conveniently located not too far from De Pijp metro station. Inside, the vibe and decor reminded us of a real South Korean "pocha', making it a great spot for a fun night out with good drinks and snacks. The place isn't huge, so I'd suggest making a reservation, especially if you're visiting during peak hours. The staff, all Korean, were really friendly and well-prepared, which added to the overall experience 😌. While the menu isn't huge, it offers a decent variety of shareable snacks and drinks, including some interesting cocktails made with soju. We tried the potato pancake and chicken wings, along with cocktails, and everything was super tasty – my Korean wife agreed!🙆🏻‍♀️ One thing I'd suggest is for them to clearly mark the vegetarian options on the menu, as they were a bit hard to find. Overall, we'll definitely be coming back, maybe next time with empty stomachs so we can try even more of their delicious offerings. 진짜 맛있어요 사장님!

Authentic Korean restaurant that has jjigae is finally here. I've been looking for an authentic Korean cuisine in Amsterdam but my journey has been very disappointing. I like original the bab but they don't have jjigae. I'm so glad that the bab pocha is finally here, all the staffs seem to be Koreans and the food is great and super authentic. The portion of food is not super big but I'll still gladly take it lol

Came with Korean friend. Food was great, but the price compared to the portion is way too high imo Chairs and tables are a bit uncomfortable but my friend says that's the pocha style

went here for dinner on a thursday evening; plenty of space! the interior screams streetmarket vibe in south-korea with all the different colors and posters of dramas on the walls! love how they introduced this new concept to the ‘the bab’ locations. i really recommend to order the kimchi stew/jeongol. not spicy at all and delicious with some rice or ramen; was enough for two people. i got super full after these dishes and i would love to come back again when im looking for an easy but cozy korean spot

If you're looking for real real Korean food, this is the answer.

Authetic small Korean place with a different menu from the other bab restaurants with, in true Korean fashion, basically no vegetarian mains or sides so keep that in mind if you can't eat (certain) meats or fish (only options were egg roll and potato pancake). We ordered a dish with kimchi and tofu that would only contain fish sauce but found out there was beef in it as well so my friend picked it out for me. Very expensive dishes because they are big and meant to be shared, most 20-35+ €. The food was really good tho !!

The latest Bab to open in Amsterdam. This one has a slightly different menu and it’s also delicious. Fantastic fried chicken, beef Jeongol, egg rolls and soju. Large portions and authentically good!

Pocha is like stepping into a pojangmacha (Korean street food stall) in Seoul. Plastic plates and chairs, especially the walls, are decorated with posters of Korean celebrities and soju brands, giving the place a truly authentic Korean pocha feel. The menu features various Korean dishes, from classic favorites like bulgogi jeongol to more authentic dishes. And of course, no Korean meal is complete without soju! Pocha has a wide selection of soju brands from Korea.

Got the Jeongol for two which was awesome, the people were nice and helpful, I will come back for sure!

There is a casual Korean restaurant in Amsterdam where you can eat kimbap and kimchi fried rice!! I can feel the status of K-Food. I was happy to eat kimchi fried rice, and the ripening of the kimchi was as good as home-made, and it was more delicious than the typical Korean snack restaurant.^^ It's 100 times better than the kimchi stew I had for 18 euros at Korea House, a Korean restaurant in Amsterdam. I still have 4 more days to stay in Amsterdam, but I plan on eating kimbap tomorrow, kimchi fried rice the day after tomorrow, and rice bowl rice. It's a restaurant I'd like to stay in for a long time. And I was very satisfied with the service as the female part-time worker seemed to work with her heart.^^

One of the best Korean food I have ever tried in Europe. I am professional on food and tried many korean foods in Europe. As for the quality and taste, this Bab Koreans food is exactly same with any good restaurants in Seoul.

The Bab never disappoints but this outlet has amazing fresh kimchi that you can buy. It is becoming my go to place for Korean take out on a Friday afternoon. Loved the triangle spicy chicken gimbap and the bibimbap! Korean lady behind the till on Fridays is super nice - will recommend!!
