Left without eating since my food never arrived. No one mentioned anything about a waiting time when I asked for a table and after I hadn’t received my sushi after 35min+, I asked twice if someone could check when it would be ready since I had to leave for a concert next door and they said it was supposed to take 30min and could not answer my question. Staff was overwhelmed and unresponsive, I paid my drink and left. On top of that the restaurant was incredibly loud. Attaching a picture of the bill so that they cannot ask Google to take the review down.

Just happened to stumble across this place while waiting for our movie. Didn’t look very impressive from the outside but once inside the decor is nice although probably needs updating to reflect the high quality of the food and service. Best sushi I’ve ever had. The service was extremely quick even with the restaurant quite busy. Excellent selection of food and drinks. The presentation of the food was extremely impressive.

Update: it was definitely our third time; it was truly stunningly good and beautiful! What started as a quick bite for an event at the Johan Cruijff ArenA ended up as a surprisingly culinary stopover. At ichi-E, it is clearly not just about sushi, but also about attention to the guest. The presentation of the dishes was a feast in itself. Colorful sushi rolls, edible flowers, smoke effects on the table, and beautifully arranged platters meant that photos were frequently taken before anyone dared to take a bite. Fortunately, the taste turned out to be at least as good as the appearance. Everything was fresh, beautifully balanced, and prepared with care. What stood out to us most was the excellent service. A very friendly waitress noticed that there was a vegetarian in our party and subsequently made a special effort to put together a separate vegetarian platter with the kitchen. That kind of personal attention really makes the difference and is greatly appreciated. The atmosphere also deserves a compliment. The interior is modern and stylish, yet at the same time relaxed and accessible. Despite the busyness, the service remained attentive, friendly, and engaged. The vegetarian sushi was surprisingly creative, the salmon rolls deliciously soft and fresh, and even the simple dessert with fresh fruit, cream, and ice cream provided a refreshing conclusion to the meal. A restaurant where attention is clearly paid to presentation, quality, and hospitality. We came for an event, but would certainly return for the restaurant itself. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The edamame were old and mushy, and the sushi box contained fish that was already falling apart. Part of our order was forgotten and, after we pointed it out, was delivered without any explanation. The ambiance is okay, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

Grabbed a bite to eat before a concert. Made a reservation in advance. They had a separate (concert) menu. Had delicious sushi! There were also tasty noodles with lots of vegetables and good yakitori. Friendly service. Nice place, fast service.

I sat here by myself for a concert while the terrace wasn't that full yet, but I'm so glad I did! The drinks arrived quickly, and because of the warm weather, I received an extra glass of ice cubes. I've recently started discovering sushi, and I found it truly excellent here! The tempura sushi roll is especially highly recommended. Later, the terrace was completely full, but the staff had things well under control, and I saw them fix any mistakes immediately. Kudos! It is on the expensive side, though, hence the four stars. For that reason, I didn't leave a tip. When prices are a bit lower, people are more likely to click the tipping option, so that's a tip :) I will definitely be back again! (It's also nice that they adapt the music playlist to the events!)

Just had my 2nd solo date ever. I was able to simply order a chef's menu here and get a table all to myself on the terrace! Very tasty and very friendly staff 🥰

Had a delicious meal. During events, you can eat larger meals until 6:00 PM. Despite the crowds, the staff handled it well. (Concert at AFAS, Ziggo, and football)

Sorry for the bad review but the food here is not great. It's not inthe last bit authentic nor tasty. Chicken karaage was awful and the yaki udon as well. Wagamama would be a 10 compared to this place. Very pricey for unauthentic food.

Ichi-E truly impressed us. Even though we spontaneously dropped by with six people and the restaurant was completely full, the team managed to quickly find a table for us. That alone was a fantastic start to the evening. The service was consistently fast, attentive, and very friendly. We especially liked the tablet ordering system – it allowed us to easily select our food and drinks and order more whenever we wanted. It's straightforward and really fun because you can simply try your way through the menu. And that's exactly what we did: We sampled our way through the entire menu. Sashimi, gyoza, and practically every sushi creation that caught our eye – and everything was simply divine. The sushi was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and tasted at a level that's truly rare. We kept ordering more because every single dish was so delicious. We also loved the atmosphere in the restaurant: cozy, authentic, and with a very pleasant vibe. In short: We've rarely eaten such good sushi. If you're in Amsterdam and want to experience really good, fresh sushi, you absolutely have to stop by here. We'll definitely be back. 🍣

Very nice Asian Style fusion restaurant. Besides a rather large sushi menu they have plenty of other options. Presentation of the dishes was great and tastewise the food was excellent. It's a bit on the pricey side but recommended

We had a truly delicious meal at this restaurant. The sushi is truly different from what you'd find at an all-you-can-eat place. This sushi is next level... but I found the ambiance awful... you practically sit on each other's laps because the tables are so close together. It's a real shame, and unnecessary for a high-quality establishment like this. I got the impression of a food shack, but I find the prices a bit too high for that. I would have liked to order more and stay longer, but this experience made us ask for the bill and leave.

Delicious food (tasty, freshly made sushi), excellent service. Highly recommended in every way. Make sure to book ahead if there are concerts at Afas Live and Ziggo Dome and/or football matches/concerts at the Arena, otherwise it might be full.

Horrible experience. When we first got there we were not greeted by anyone and it felt like the staff were trying to avoid us. We went in and found a free table as the restaurant was almost empty. However when we sat down at this empty table for the first time and went to the staff to ask for a menu which they did not have available the staff said the restaurant was fully booked and to ask them to sit down so they could check availability but mind you the restaurant was almost empty. We were not even given water while waiting for our food. The staff never checked on us to see if we wanted anything else as they usually do in other restaurants I have been to. Expensive food not a good experience at all. DO NOT GO HERE.

very good food at an acceptable price for the quality but the ordering system doesn’t let you go back to your order , which makes it extremely confusing for big groups to figure who ordered what.

We had high expectations, but unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The iPad didn't work. The dishes we ordered through the waitresses didn't arrive twice. I had a bone in my chicken skewer, and when I mentioned it, the response was, "Oh, that's from the chicken." No apologies, nothing, as if it was perfectly normal. We ordered a chicken nibble, and the meat smelled absolutely terrible; my husband got sick from it. The "lava cake" dessert was incredibly dry and there was no melted chocolate to be seen. The frozen lava cakes from the supermarket are even better. Unfortunately, the restaurant has a nice atmosphere, but unfortunately, we won't be returning for the food.

I've been here often for the sushi since the beginning. It's very well-made and delicious. This place has been around since the boulevard opened, which speaks volumes about its strong concept. Previously, there was a conveyor belt with sushi that went through the place. A Japanese concept, but that's gone, which is a shame because it had a nice touch.

Iche-E is a Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam Zuidoost that serves lunch and dinner. The food is fresh and served quickly. You can choose from various bento boxes or order your own fish, beef, or chicken dishes along with a warm sake. A must-try in the Bijlmer district for those looking for something a little different.

I really like sushi and I tried many restaurants so far. In my opinion, here you can get the best sushi. The quality of the ingredients is sublime and the recipes are more creative than any other place in Amsterdam. The staff also deserves credit, because they are friendly and this is not to be taken for granted. The only reason why I don't eat here weekly is that I can't afford it, but the food is totally worth the money, so I'd rather come here than go somewhere else. It's incredible to have a place like this in Bijlmer to be honest. 100% recommended.

Certainly one of the city's most delicious sushi restaurants. If you're in the area, you should definitely stop by. Reserving a table in advance is recommended (easy to do online or via email). Very child-friendly. There are stairs leading to the second floor, which is very spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful throughout. The restaurant spans two levels and offers a high standard. You can order via tablet, which works easily in English or Dutch. From sushi and salads to meat dishes, everything is possible. The desserts are also incredibly delicious. Unfortunately, not all dishes were available during our visit (it was Christmas Day). The food and drinks you ordered arrived quite quickly. The quality and presentation of the food are excellent. We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back.

I was a little worried because the reviews from Japanese people were not good, but the food was delicious. It's a restaurant that even families can go to. The prices are certainly a bit high, but the food was delicious so I was satisfied. The beer had a slight smell that bothered me. The sushi was delicious and had no odor. The fried rice was so addictively tasty that I ordered it twice. The staff were also very friendly. The restaurant was very busy! I think I'll go again.

I've been coming here for years, and the sushi was always good, fresh, and flavorful. That made the slightly higher price worth it. Yesterday I went again with my children; the three of us paid €130, excluding alcohol. Unfortunately, this time it was disappointing. Everything was served extremely quickly, which made me doubt whether it was still freshly prepared as before. The flavor was noticeably less, and for the first time, it even felt uncomfortable in my stomach. It's a shame, because this was always a place where you could count on quality. Hopefully, that old quality will return.

I've been here before, and the food was good. So I thought it would be a good idea to come back again. Unfortunately, this experience was very different. The menu was small and offered little choice. The sushi didn't look good and had an odd color. That wasn't a pleasant experience. The flamed sashimi was cold, and the rice was dry and seemed old. After eating, I got sick and have symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I really don't think this is acceptable. This visit has damaged my confidence. I won't be returning and advise you to be very careful if you're considering eating here.

I was back at a Japanese restaurant for the first time, but this time in the Netherlands. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The food is excellent. The service is very good and relaxed. They're very helpful. I'm vegan, but that wasn't a problem.

The sushi is good, but in over an hour and a half, we only managed to order two rounds of sushi. The first round went well, but the second took a very long time. It's a shame, because we would have liked something else. Because of a concert, we didn't have time for that.

Nice big sushi restaurant nearby the trainstation. The food is delicious and the personnel is very friendly, though trained to handle each table very quick in order to clear the table and receive new guests. On a wednesday evening at the end of octobre it was fully booked and giests stoid even outside to wait for a free table. Unfortunately the acoustics was bad. There are a lit of tables and guests and there is no acoustic regulation so it was quite noisy.

The Toro Nigri is fantastic. Food is generally really good. However I got charged 3.5 eur for ginger, after being served 2x2 Nigri with 2x4 sushi rolls with literally 5slices of ginger. This is ridiculous folks!!!

It was something different. I was a bit unlucky; it was very crowded because Ajax Amsterdam had played and won. Hundreds of people, and therefore very loud. Otherwise, I was absolutely satisfied. A different kind of food, at least for me.

I ate here before the Drake concert. The sushi was really delicious and fresh, which was the best part of my visit. The price is a bit high for what you get, but I didn't mind that. It's a great place to eat if you're going to a nearby event, for example. The atmosphere is nice and it's easily accessible. For a quick, delicious sushi experience, this is definitely a good option.

We had a wonderful meal here. We had the Wagyu nigiri (highly recommended!), a platter with three dou nigiris with salmon, tuna, and squid. Then we each had a bento box with sashimi, sushi, and salad, followed by a softshell crab roll. Overall, the food quality was very good, but the tuna sashimi was lower quality than expected, and the softshell crab sushi roll was disappointing because there was very little crab in it. Still, it was very tasty. We could have easily gone for another round or three, which would have brought it to around €100 per person without drinks, and that wasn't the point of our evening here. Still, I highly recommend eating à la carte sushi, as I think the prices are reasonable and comparable to other à la carte sushi restaurants.

Despite the concert crowds, we managed to get a spot on the terrace. It was a great spot near the arena, very busy but still cozy. Excellent food and drinks, and a friendly host at the door.

The food was good and arrived fairly quickly after ordering. We were early and there weren't many guests yet, so that probably played a role. The service itself was fine, but... I understand that in these kinds of restaurants, they clear your table quickly. Either the customer orders more or they leave, and you can offer them a new one. However, you do this as inconspicuously as possible and don't take dishes that still have food on them. When paying, I noticed that an amount on the menu didn't match the one on the bill. I normally never check a bill, but everything was done via a tablet, so everything was very visible. It caught my attention because it was a dessert, and the order (also via tablet) was still fresh in my mind. I quickly found another dish with a different price. It was always two euros, but still. We'd ordered quite a lot, and I didn't feel like checking every dish and decided to just pay the bill without tipping. When the server asked if everything was correct, I decided to point it out to him. I gave him the chance to make it right. He failed miserably. He tried to convince me that the prices on the menu didn't include VAT. (Note: the prices for the other dishes I quickly checked were the same.) He clearly didn't want to investigate further. Fine, but then your tip is included in the bill.
