Went there three times in one month with friends. The food was really nice. The restaurant is well decorated. It would be a perfect place for a date. But last time I was there was super hot and they got no fan or AC! The workers are so friendly as well

Was an excellent stop on the last day of our trip. It's a small place just off of a larger street, so it benefits from both good location and being relatively quiet as it's tucked around the corner. The food was great, the service was timely, and the space was clean and comfortable. We were there on a weekday at around dinner time, and there were only a few groups in there by the time we finished, so it was nice and quiet.

I’ve been here 2 times already. Such cute small place! Lady taking our order nice and kind. Food here is very flavorful and good. I recommend Yaki udon and sake ;).

Very authentic and lovely decor. Friendly staff and quick service. Unfortunately, the food was only okay. While the udon noodles were really delicious, the chicken with rice was bland, as was my udon. But because everything looks so great, I would eat here again, and I'm sure it will taste better next time. 😊 You just have to ask: "Please add more spices, add more salt," etc.

This is my favourite restaurant in Amsterdam to eat fried rice. It’s been 5 years of always coming back, whether with friends, family or alone. The wonderful ladies here always show high hospitality and are incredibly friendly. It’s very pleasant to come to a place where they remember your favourite order :) The fried rice is really fluffy and mild here. I could eat it forever. Huge thanks to the owners for making it a safe space for us ♡

the service here is very bad, chasing away people who want to eat there with the excuse of just 1 person eating..even though we ordered 2 kinds of menu and 1 hot ocha...really disappointing...maybe he saw me bringing potatoes and I also saved them to eat at home...really stupid..consider your bad attitude..👎👎👎

This was my 2nd time going here, I loved the food and also the woman who served me. She’s so kind and generous. I tried Miso soup for starter and mixed seafruits ramen and also the beef ramen. It was very delicious and also they have some window seats.

I went to this tent today because of the reviews. I don't think people understand what really good food is and I think they are reviews from tourists who don't know anything about it. Case looks Japanese and that's it. When my food arrived on the table I immediately noticed what was going on. These are Chinese and not Japanese. Food is not fresh. Ready-made noodles from a package from the store and my ramen soup tasted like the bags from the supermarket. A simple emergency soup from a supermarket package with frozen shrimps in it and some vegetables. €16 too much for a fake ramen noodle soup. Next time, buy it from the supermarket for €2 and make it yourself at home. This tent is not recommended. You can make it yourself at home. Just buy from Oriental yourself.

10/10 Japanese food in the Amsterdam area, but not on the main road. Here there are various Japanese dishes such as udon, ramen and even sushi😍 The drinks are also varied, including ocha, etc. The service is fast and friendly, the plates, especially the glasses, are really cute🥹 there's something Japanese about them, that's the picture and shape. Worth it to try!

I've been coming here every week since I accidentally discovered it. The food is delicious, the portions are large and the menu is extensive enough that it doesn't get boring quickly. The lady who works in the kitchen and serves is also very nice. It is small-scale and personal and that really creates the atmosphere.

Good place to have Sake and Teriyaki chicken. We also tried fried rice here, which was good as well

We had a direct view of the manager who was reheating our dishes in the microwave, the sound of the bell lining the background. The rice was good. The teriyaki sauce tasted just like the one from the supermarket. The texture of the meat was strange (probably because of the microwave...). The chicken was bad. It was still edible but unfortunately it was unworthy of a restaurant.

During ADE we decided to have a bite to eat with the seven of us in between 2 parties. Luckily we were able to sit around the baking tray and took everything. Fish meat and we all loved it. Nice and quick and for a great price. Highly recommended!

We ordered avocado sushi, chicken udon soup and chicken wok fried rice and everything was simple and okay but nothing amazing. When we asked in advance to make the food a little more spicy, the lady simply denied saying we can use pepper from the table. Being a tourist, I was running out of phone battery and politely asked them if I could charge my phone for sometime and she denied saying it is not possible. It turned me off a bit but no issues with the food.

Found by chance while passing through the center. Small but nice place, excellent sushi. The two of us took the 60 euro plate and it was more than enough, in the end we were bursting! Good and plentiful! Tastes a little classic but good. The only flaw: they only brought us bottles of water without glasses. For the rest everything is ok, fair average prices.

Sushi was tasty, although I think it would be better if you could choose the sushi from the menu. Prices are super affordable for Amsterdam. It's definitely not comfortable there. In the end, I don't feel good about it. I don't want to give even one star. I'll leave what happened here. This happened during my first trip to the Netherlands. I was exploring Amsterdam by myself, and when I found Japanese food, I happily entered the restaurant, only to find that the staff were Chinese. The atmosphere of the shop is very Japanese (a bit Showa-ish) The taste is close to Japanese food, but it's not Japanese food, it's just that the ingredients are mainly Japanese food. I paid the bill for 19 euros (currently 3,135 yen) with a credit card, and of course I have kept the receipt. When I checked my credit card statement two days later, I was charged 199 euros (32,835 yen). When I called the store, they couldn't connect, but my Dutch friend called the store and I was able to connect. When I told them about the incorrect charge, they said they already knew about it and would immediately refund my money in cash. I really wonder why they didn't correct the credit card charge when they realized the mistake, and it's hard to understand why the only option was to refund it in cash. Once I realized that I had to pay the wrong amount of 199 euros anyway, which I didn't understand, even though I would get it back in cash. If they really made a simple mistake, I would be willing to give in and forgive them, but I'm also disappointed in how they reacted when they realized their mistake. It's funny and shocking that about 3,000 yen turns into a 30,000 yen meal. Is it harassment of Japanese tourists? Did eating alone make you look at your feet? We strongly recommend that you keep your receipts and check the amount charged at any store while traveling. The only downside and the only worst experience of our trip to Holland. In a way, I learned as well. thank you A store that I would definitely not recommend to anyone. for your information.

Had lunch with my family in this small typical Japanese restaurant in the center of Amsterdam. Fantastic! We eat very well.

When I was there, the lady moved us from our table to give it to someone else. When we sat down to eat at another table, they shouted "Takeaway, no eat here". I never said I wanted takeaway. They just assumed that because we're teenagers. Very dissapointing, won't be coming back here. The lady was straight out rude.

Such a small cozy restaurant!! We tried the ramen, fried rice chicken and some sushi, all SO GOOD!! Full of flavors, and for us it was a pretty good quantity, as we left completely full. Fully recommend the place ❤️
