I would like to be able to talk about the food here, but I can't. Why??? BECAUSE MY FOOD WAS NEVER DELIVERED. We made an order through Thuisbezorgd that said "nearly there" for 1.5 hours and when we tried contacting them on the phone number they have on their website (also in the app) - guess what? The number doesn't exist and there is no method through which you can contact them!! They use their own delivery people, so it is their fault entirely. No food and no refund, avoid at all costs...

We never dine in because the atmosphere is not that great but this is our regular take out place for Indian food. The butter chicken and saag paneer are very good. Also, the staff is very friendly and make you come back too.

The best Indian restaurant I've ever seen in Amsterdam! The food was simply delicious. They also allow dogs, although you'll have to sit a bit further back in the restaurant, which is fine.

The mixed platter appetizers are highly recommended. Vindaloo is HOT but very tasty. Rogan Josh is perfectly seasoned. Kheer was still a little frozen but still very tasty. The atmosphere is very good, the service friendly, and the decor colorful but tasteful. The price includes appetizer, dessert, and drinks.

The food was delicious, and the staff regularly came to our table to ask if everything was to our liking. There was even a lamp on the table to signal for service. Everything was well organized!

Was the first x and not the last x I didn't expect this because I don't like curries but it really surprised me! The waiter said just try mix grill first to get to know the taste and that was very tasty, well seasoned! I will definitely come back to try more and recommend everyone to eat here! 1 Star – Disrespectful and totally unprofessional We came to Rotti Room with our dog and were immediately placed at the entrance – next to empty drink crates. The reason? “Because of other guests.” The restaurant was busy, but our dog was quiet. Apparently that doesn’t matter. Would they seat families with children at the door too if someone complains? Our food – samosas and gulab jamun – arrived very late. But the real shock: An employee sat down right next to us and started cleaning cutlery loudly. No joke – right in the dining area, beside our table. Clattering spoons, constant noise. Who does that next to paying customers? This was simply disrespectful, unprofessional, and unpleasant. Never again.

Joshua helped us a lot with choosing the right dishes, a very nice restaurant, we will definitely come back! Recommended

India Roti Room has now become my regular go-to for Indian food in Amsterdam. I've ordered and had delivery from here three times now, and every time it's been a great experience. The food always arrives hot and the flavors are wonderfully authentic. My favorite dishes so far: ⭐ Crispy Samosa – Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and deliciously filled on the inside. The spice balance is just right, and the included sauce completes it. ⭐ Chana Massala – A rich, well-seasoned chickpea curry with a deep, savory flavor. The sauce is wonderfully thick and perfect for dipping with naan. ⭐ Butter Chicken – Definitely recommended! The sauce is creamy, slightly spicy and full of flavor, just like a good butter chicken should be. The chicken meat is juicy and tender. ⭐ Garlic Naan – Fluffy, airy and richly topped with garlic and butter. Combines perfectly with the curries and is also delicious on its own. ⭐ Rice – Simple, but exactly as it should be: fluffy, perfectly cooked and not sticky. Delivery is fast and the food is always well packaged, without any mess. The only thing to keep in mind is that they don't accept Visa or Mastercard, so make sure you have another payment method. Nothing but praise! India Roti Room is highly recommended for lovers of Indian cuisine. I will definitely continue to order here!

I’m extremely disappointed with this restaurant. I made a reservation four days ago, and they called me just three hours before my scheduled time to cancel because they had a catering event. This is completely unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for their customers. Cancelling on such short notice after confirming plans days in advance is unacceptable. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone.

Absolutely unacceptable! I made a reservation FOUR days ago, and they had the audacity to call me just three hours before my appointment to cancel due to a catering order. This is the height of unprofessionalism and a complete lack of respect for customers. If they can't honor reservations, why are they taking them in the first place? I planned my day around this reservation, and they ruined everything without any consideration. I will never come back here and will warn others of how poorly they treat their customers.

Accessibility and Location Although we normally travel by public transport - because you just step out of the station and you are there - this time we opted for the car. With grandpa there and such a large group, it was a bit more convenient. Whether you come by car or by public transport, the location between Weesp and Wibautstraat is ideal and easily accessible. Enjoy Special Drinks The evening was completed with an extensive selection of drinks at a reduced rate. The mango lassie and Indian tea really stood out – both were delicious. Last night I had a lovely meal with my mother, eldest sister and niece at India Roti Room. I didn't know this restaurant yet, so I was very curious. Friendly welcome, coats can be hung immediately on the left against the wall and if it is not very busy, as it was yesterday, you can choose where you want to sit. We had a nice spot on the couch. By the way, it is busy with (paid) parking, but for places in Amsterdam, you have to be lucky. And we had that this time too. The staff is very friendly, patient, listens to what you want and helps if you can't have certain spices (like me). The food was really tasty and good. The combination with the occasional informal chat with the staff was also very nice. The table was well maintained if there was a bottle or something similar. is empty. This way you have more space for the dishes and warming plates. Tip: When you give a beer with a glass, it is better for the beer to first rinse/immerse the glass in water (do not dry it afterwards!) so that it does not quickly die. The rest of us relaxed and had a nice evening with the four of us. It's not without reason that my sister regularly eats here 😉. Thanks for the good care!

Wij komen speciaal uit Heemstede naar dit restaurant. Het eten is elke keer weer heerlijk, de bediening en service top. Duidelijk kaart met ruime keuze vegetarische en veganistische. Goede sfeer met rustige muziekje op de achtergrond.

Average food at reasonable price, bad cocktails, shocking services - they refuse to take cards or split the payments. This place apparently only takes ‘local’ cards, not master or visa. This is not acceptable in an international city like Amsterdam. It’s 100% not tourist friendly. Would discourage any international tourists to go.

Overall a below average experience because of the final few moments in what was otherwise a nice meal. The waiter was very rude when we asked to split a bill for 8 people 3 ways. He then promptly said “we don’t support international cards - but said sometimes visa and Mastercard works”. We did scrape together enough cash in the end. Other than that. Food was cooked well. Above average execution. Reasonably quick service but under staffed as the time e visited there was only 1 waiter manning the entire restaurant. Save your money. Dine at home. Or go to a proper restaurant.

Came here for a solo dinner while visiting. I love extremely spicy and tasty Indian food, like in an almost masochistic way, they did not hold back with a deliciously spicy and tasty dish of Chicken Tikka Masala. The garlic Naan was also fantastic. Service was great, and when it came time to pay, it turned out their card reader did not accept American credit or debit cards. The total was €34 and I only had €30 on me to cover the bill. They told me it was ok and accepted it with a smile. Truly fantastic people that work here. If I lived here I would 100% be a loyal customer and support them.

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd. Quality of the food was bad. The chapatis were burnt, no sauce with the samosas, got normal naan instead of garlic naan. But the biggest disappointment was the curry. Both curries (chana massalla and paneer tikka massalla) tasted exactly the same and like tomato sauce. Don‘t even know if you can call that curry. Will not order there again. I think the reviews are fake because I wrote the same review on Thuisbezorg and it was deleted by them. Just want to warn people what a disgrace to Indian food this is.

Had een grill mix maar was meer een gierig nix! Sommige ondernemers nemen gretig gebruik van inflatie. Je betaalt je blauw aan twee stukjes droog overdreven zout vlees (iets te verbergen). Smaakloos eten en niet te spreken over de naan heel stug en taai. De personeel zeer onprofessioneel. Loopt de keuken in en uit met straat kleding. Zeer chagrijnig alsof je hem lastigvalt. Eerste keer en laatste keer bij de plek. Slechte prijs kwaliteit/kwantiteit. Gelukkig zijn er betere plekken voor indian food. Oja is niet zeker of ze echt uit india komen misschien Hindoestanen...

Deze plek heb ik zelf al meerdere keren bezocht en is echt een pareltje op de tong met een goede service in de benen en in het hoofd. Als je lekker en relax wil eten ben je op dit adres op de goede plek beland. In zin. Waar voor je geld en ervaring.

The food was excellent, and served in a unique way. If you are hungry and don't mind waiting a little it's definitely a good choice for some belly warming indian food. It's slightly expensive but not crazy Other than that tho, the service wasn't amazing. It was kind of hard to tell where the entrance was (looks like a closed door on a regular building), and the wait was pretty long. It took about 30 minutes till someone came to take my order, and about 30 more minutes for the food. The place was packed full when I arrived so it might have been a one time thing. The menu is clear with good allergy notation, I was easily able to identify what I can and can't eat (milk allergy). Would definitely come again, it was great!

So my son and I were staying in the social hub. It is easy to get there and is about a 5min walk. The food was tasty and affordable. We talked to owner and his staff. They are very kind and friendly. The ambient is relaxing and beautiful. The restaurant is huge in comparison to other restaurant. We had a week in the Netherlands and this restaurant was the cheapest and most delicious one I have been to. We recommend this restaurant strongly and if you are in Amsterdam you should definetly visit it!

This visit to Amsterdam was a short one with family, while trying to find the specific Turkish joint to feel at home and we stumbled on this place. Normally the place is not open at the time but they welcomed us. Vicky and the Chef Pal, prepared food we ordered specially for us.... and, ohhh man it is tasty as heaven. Kudos!!! Chef Sawinder Pal and Vicky, you guys earned the respect not because of the hospitality but also the taste and service. Every single person coming to Amsterdam must visit at least once to this place. Super fast delivery and hot food. But unfortunately the Onion Bhaji's were extremely salty, dry and broken into tiny pieces.

Dit restaurant doet zijn naam eer aan, de sfeer is relaxt, mooie rustige inrichting, heerlijk indiaans muziekje op de achtergrond. De gast heer voor deze avond was Rupinder, een vriendelijke echt horeca man, attent, snel en correct. Het eten was heerlijk, als voorgerecht de Onion Bhajee en Vegetable Samosa. Het hoofdgerecht de Chaana Massala is pittig maar niet te heet en de Vegetarian Korma heerlijk romig en zoet. Fijn dat er standaard rijst bij de gerechten is en een schaaltje met salade. Kom hier zeker weer terug. 1 tip voor de eigenaar, even de ramen lappen dan ziet de buitenkant er ook net zo mooi en fris uit als binnen.

Sehr gutes indisches Essen in schönem Ambiente zu angemessenen Preisen. Das Butter Chicken ist sehr zu empfehlen. Kommen beim nächsten Amsterdam-Besuch auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gegeten met vrienden voor het ontvasten van de ramadan. Eten was lekker, maar qua portie te klein voor tijdens iftar. Het vriendelijke personeel heeft daardoor kosteloos een paar extra gerechten gegeven. Toppers dus, zullen zeker terugkomen!

Vorige jaar ook tijdens Ramadan hier gegeten. Het was weer heerlijk, goeie en snelle service. Bedankt!

Heerlijk gegeten! Het eten smaakt vers (de samosa met kala namak is de beste samosa die ik ooit heb gehad, de naan is krokant en het vlees mals) en de specerijen proef je overal in. De eigenaar was supervriendelijk en de service was fantastisch. We hadden cheese naan gekregen ipv de garlic naan die we hadden besteld. Toen de bediening dit doorhad mochten we de cheese naan houden en werd er vers nieuwe garlic naan gemaakt. Al met al een topavond gehad!
