Julia's Amsterdam Zuid in Zuidas

It's very cold inside because of the automatic sliding doors. There are bar stools, but it's really not comfortable. My container was only 60% full, the farfalle wasn't cooked, and I had to pay extra for cheese. Pretty sad for an international station. It's only because there's nothing better about the station that I still come here.

I picked up my toogoodtogo order of two vegetarian sandwiches here. The employee was very familiar with me and was very helpful. The only downside is that if the employees are busy in the kitchen or storage room, it can take a while for them to help you, simply because they can't see you. A solution would be to place a bell on the counter. Otherwise, the sandwiches are pretty good, and it's definitely a nice place to eat in. There are both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, both with a wide selection.

Listen. Seriously. It's nine o'clock at night. I'm exhausted, I'm hungry, I'm basically one step away from an episode of Expeditie Robinson. And I think: you know what, Koen… go crazy. Treat yourself. You deserve this. You've worked hard. You're having… pasta pesto pollo. Yes, three P's. Alliteration, that's what they do. Fits on a tile, perfect for Poetry Week. So I order that thing, with chicken. Pollo. It's right there, you know. Not as an option. Not like "maybe chicken, maybe tofu, maybe disappointment." No, just: pollo. I get on the train, I open the container, I dig in like I've just won the jackpot… Nothing. No chicken. No pollo at all. Just pasta and pesto. It was basically like I was on a Tinder date with "Sanne, 27, loves to travel" and suddenly Uncle Henk showed up at my door in his undershirt. So I thought: maybe the chicken is hidden? I dug, I searched, I scraped. I went through that container like an archaeologist who'd just heard he could find a dinosaur bone. But no way. No chicken. Not a wing. Not a crumb. Not a feather. Nothing at all. And I'd paid ten euros. Ten! For pasta with pesto. Do you know what that costs in the supermarket? Fifty cents. And then you cook it yourself, and you can even imagine the illusion of chicken with it. So I'm sitting there on the train, container in hand, hungry, but also confused. I thought: should I send this back? Yes, how? What am I going to do? "PostNL, here's some lukewarm pasta. Send it back by registered mail, I want my chicken!" Three weeks later, you're at customer service: yes sir, your pasta got stuck in the sorting center in Zwolle. Of course, I just ate it. Because, well... I'm still Dutch, right? Ten euros. You don't leave that. You can't say to a conductor: sorry sir, I don't have a ticket, but I do have a chicken-free pesto. Exchange? So, yeah. Final verdict: the pasta was okay. But without pollo, it feels a bit like... going to Efteling and finding out Droomvlucht is closed. Disappointing.

I ordered penne pesto pollo, but when I opened the container, I received a carbonara. I mentioned this to the lady working, and she did ask if I wanted another, but she didn't have time because I had to catch a train, so I accepted this one. But now I'm biting into a piece of plastic! That's the main reason I'm writing this review and won't be ordering from here again.

This review is based on my experience with Julia’s through the Too Good To Go app. I was very disappointed. The bread itself was fine, but the so-called “original price” of €10.50 for the bag is clearly inflated compared to Julia’s actual menu prices. This comes across as dishonest and misleading — inflating the value just to make the discount look bigger. Customers deserve transparency, not tricks.

Pasta is RAW! When you say something about it, they think you are an annoying customer and you get a big mouth! Clearly LAZY horses! Who do not feel like doing their work with love. And hygiene is hard to find. Not even worthy of 1 star!!

We drank tea and coffee, prices are a bit high but not bad.

Julia's was the best food (& least expensive) that we had in our 10 trip to Europe. The tall guy running the place was super nice. We were quite impressed for a little "to go" type place. Would definitely recommend. Sadly, I don't think I'll get back there again.

Ordered a large one and paid for it, but received a medium sized one 15 minutes later. Staff did not acknowledge error despite billing statement. 26-01 19:30

We ordre some pasta and we made a mistake, we took some with meat or we wanted vegan. We wanted to leave them for someone else. The person in charge wanted to refund us but we refused as we were the one in fault. Even with that we got a free cappuccino. Excellent service We suggest the pasta Vega bolognese. Very Good!!! Nice good, very gentle service

I was in a rush and quickly got a croissant and cappuccino. I swear I haven’t had a better croissant yet, it was so flaky, so chocolatey and so fresh. Absolutely loved it. Cappuccino was great too. The service was quick and the guy at the counter was so kind and sweet. I wish I had more time to get more food from here.

Don't go to this Julia's if you have allergies. It is unclear which ingredients are used! I asked whether there were legumes/beans in the vegetarian pasta, the answer was no. I ended up having an allergic reaction on the train.

Een uur voor sluitingstijd. Je nag niet binnen eten want ze hebben al schoongemaakt en je krijgt nog koude frietjes ook. Zeer onbeschoft personeel ‘Ga jij dan schoonmaken? Want ik ga niet twee keer schoonmaken.’

Nice and friendly staff, you don't have to wait long for your meal. It is always pleasantly busy here and you can ask anything here. This time I had the penne carbonara, it was very tasty, you can add extra cheese🥰

Ordered a nice pasta only to find out on the train that there was sand in the spinach... that was quite a disappointment.

So I ordered carbonara and paid EXTRA for additional sauce/pancetta and this is what I got which looked exactly like a regular order w/o additional. I didn’t even cared when she put so little rocket leaves but the sauce? I tried to talk to the staff who made my order but she insisted that the pancetta is included in the sauce (which I understood) Does this looks extra? I stir to check maybe there are more sauce at the bottom but no. Not trying to be a Karen but maybe next time give your customers what exactly what they pay for and try to be a little nicer. ☺️ Worst branch.

The pasta cannot be eaten. What a dirty intention. Pasta penne with chicken. The chicken ran away during cooking, because it could not be found among the abundance of cheese. If you have a choice, I would skip this one. Good coffee from Illy!

Fast food pasta, but tasty (Farfalle arrabiata). Become a bit expensive in recent years. Service was ok, nothing special.

Was there last week. I had checked online in advance what time they closed and was deliberately half an hour early. Upon arrival they indicated that they close early. So I could go home again. This is very bad. Not to be repeated.

The food is delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced. Just a bit weird they’re closing on Friday at 19:30 even though Google Maps says 22:30

Julia's, so called cucina italiana...hahaha there is nothing Italian about what they sell. Straight from a package, everything is delivered ready-made. It's okay that you sell pasta. It's good that you call your business Julia's. But please take away cucina italiana!!!

We wanted to have something to eat here at 4 o'clock in the afternoon when the store was supposed to be open. We were told that we were only allowed to take something with us, it was not possible to sit inside. Worthless.

The coffee and pasta box take-away were tasty and fine for lunch, but the employee looked particularly unmotivated and uninterested (28-12).

I don’t know why this place has poor ratings but it’s a gem. I accidentally found this place when I was hurrying to get the train to get the quick bite. Unfortunately they ran out of the dish which I asked for, instead they suggested to go for pasta. I ordered vegetarian penne pesto here with some extra chillies and was lost. It tasted amazing, and I had a cappuccino here and it’s was perfect. So I decided to had another meal here and got arabiatta and it did not disappoint me either. I highly recommend this place if you are around the station to go for breakfast or lunch and not to miss this place. The price of meals are very reasonable and bit cheaper compared to other cafes

I love this place. Come here almost weekly. Only reason for no 5 stars is that the pasta is not always consistent, so it does depend on who’s preparing your meal. Also a bit on the pricier side.

Ik heb hier op koningsdag een heerlijke pesto pollo pasta gegeten! Super klantvriendelijke bediening, met name de jongedame met donker haar en blauwe oorbellen. Echt een aanrader :)

Food is good but nothing extra. But the cooks are very slow and always just chit chat. Dont consider fast travellers.

Personeel is vriendelijk, zijn wel luidruchtig met elkaar in gesprek. Eten was minder. Pasta pesto gekozen, dit kost 9,70 voor medium. Dit gerecht heeft niets met een pasta pesto te maken. Er zit een roomsaus doorheen met een beetje pesto, geen kip, pijnboompitten of rucola te bekennen. Niet heel smaakvol. Een supermarkt maaltijd is goedkoper en lekkerder. Voor mij geen Julia’s meer.

ITALIAN FOOD ON THE GO! Tussen de prachtige gebouwen biedt Julia’s Italiaans eten voor reizigers in Amsterdam Zuid die de drukte willen ontvluchten. Een snelle en een ook best populaire trek in Amsterdam Zuid. Door een leuke en vlotte dame met een vriendelijke glimlach ontvangen. Ze nam uitgebreid de ingrediënten door en maakte het voor je neus klaar. De keuze was gevallen voor: carbonara & penne en als topping cherrytomaatjes, spekjes met wat peper vlokken en verse rucola. Binnen enkele minuten stond er een goed gevulde bak met pasta voor mijn neus. De pasta was binnen 'no time' op. Uitstekende keuze! 😋 #deproefblogger

Ik heb hier één keer koffie en 'n broodje gehaald. Dat was ook de laatste keer. De koffie is ondermaats, het broodje doorsnee (at best).

Good place to have a quick grab of pasta. They have couple of vegan options and you can customize it based on your need.

Tasty pastas with affordable prices. Good for a quick lunch or dinner. I highly recommend either the Penne Bolognese or Penne Pesto Pello.

Pasta is okay, expensive though. Service was also awful. Took forever for them to make my pasta and then they gave it to a customer who came after me anyway. Joke of a place.
