Never order here! They say they deliver an order, but they don't. They are real scammers. Never order from them! You will lose your money and they say your call didn't work or that they sent an email via Thuisbezorgd. And Thuisbezorgd says the same thing. So be careful. They are real scammers….

€2.90 for a frikandel speciaal. €2.90 for a frikandel met (which they also cut open before frying it; I haven't seen that before). Otherwise, it's a dodgy place. There's a strange vibe.

Bad and greasy food. You ordered a normal dish, but then you have to pay extra. It's a shame how this owner treats his customers.

I live across the street and do visit here when i need some fast convenient food, usually after a flight or work trip. Its decent, not mind blowing but the Kebabs do the job and the staff are nice

The absolute worst service I have ever had. I have now waited 3 hours for my order. But they say they are still waiting for a delivery person after I asked multiple times to cancel the order after 2 hours. No, but they can't cancel the order because that would bring down the rating. Never order here, worst service I have ever had……

An accessible spot with more relaxed prices than those "hip eateries" 50 meters down the road on Bolstraat. So the prices are very okay, but I wouldn't order; thuisbezorgd.nl makes it quite a bit more expensive. From March onwards, the tables are outside, which is an experience in itself with people-watching as they cycle or walk by. I always order durum doner, or kebab, or kapsalon; they are quite generous with the meat.

We arrived just before sunset... the service was excellent and we were served dates for iftar. The Kapsalon was delicious and warm.

Recently, I was looking for a juicy Turkish snack after a night out at Leidseplein. Foaming at the mouth, I walked into this place with high expectations, resembling an election victory for Mr. Frans Timmermans. However, I was left with Geert Wilders. The taste of this doner was comparable to "full is full, get out." If you're considering this abomination, you're a war hero in my eyes. URGENT ADVICE: if you happen to stumble across this place, back away nervously, hissing like a cat.

food was okay, the baklava is good and the prices are decent. the guy working there is so rude and entitled, it was borderline harassment. he could’ve just been cold and that would’ve been better, but he felt the need to make unnecessary comments and force an uncomfortable chat. we felt so uneasy sitting there and left as soon as we could.

If I order through Thuisbezorgd and clearly state in the order confirmation that I don't want salad, and they still put salad on it, I'll call. They calmly tell me the problem is Thuisbezorgd's, not theirs, and that it's my problem. It's a complete scandal. That's no way to treat customers.

My wife and I had dinner here at Kebab Amsterdam, and it was truly fantastic. The quality of the meat was excellent, and the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The food was good, if you can pass the bad service and the tricks they use to get you to pay more go a head, like I said I have no complaints about the food.

One hungry evening, I craved kebab, but I'm a vegetarian. I asked this kebab shop if they had a vegetarian option, and the first thing they said was that they were going to give my number to law enforcement. I find this incredibly antisocial and feel deeply insulted. I'm Flemish and had a Flemish accent, and I assume that's why they didn't take me seriously. The service is terrible. Don't go there.

Shockingly and brazenly hostile and disrespectful staff/owner. I have never in my life met or seen anything like it. He openly mocked and insulted me because I asked about the €1 extra charge for non-Dutch credit cards. The worst customer experience I have ever received in this lifetime. Absolutely hostile, disrespectful, spiteful behavior triggered by nothing at all. Avoid, RUN at all costs.

Delicious food, fast service, and cleanliness both before and after the meal. I recommend you try their good coffee; it has a wonderful taste.

Because of my pregnancy, I often have to go to the bathroom unexpectedly, and when I asked if I could go inside, I saw a sign saying it was €1 for the toilet. The man behind the counter was busy cutting the kebab, so I put the euro on the tray. The man immediately got angry and told me not to throw the euro down like that. When I tried to explain that I didn't do that and that it certainly wasn't my intention, he continued in a very rude manner. I took my euro and went to the bathroom next door for FREE (as a pregnant woman). Judging by the reviews, this isn't the first time customers have been treated this way, and the food doesn't seem worth it either. I'd say: find another place!

This place is so nasty. I went in I saw the man smoking a cigarette outside and then he went behind the counter getting ready to prepare my order. I asked him to go wash his hands after smoking and being outside. He looked at me crazy like I was wrong. I will never go back to this restaurant. Keep in mind they never gave me a bag for my food even when I have been here before and now they are trying to charge me for the bag when all the other times they just bagged my food. I ordered frites they gave me no ketchup not even 1 they wanted to charge me when I asked. I will never return. The customer service was 0!!!! Please if you own or working in a take away or restaurant hygiene and hand washing is principle.

Horrible quality, not fresh, old kebab, poor service, overpriced. I go there for a late evening kebab, there is no fresh kebab on the grill, they re-heat the old kebab, pure laziness and pure definition of sloppiness! I asked for tomatoes, they dont have them, I ask for lettuce, they give me the most artificial poor quality plastic lettuce I've ever eaten. The kebab guy just destroys my kapsalon and puts the whole thing full of sauce, I suppose as a way to cover up for the nasty old reheated kebab. At the end, they dont even bother to put my to-go kapsalon in a plastic bag, no cutlery, no napkin, nothing at all just here you go take a hot reheated kapsalon in your hand and leave. Why even be in the service industry if you have lazy workers, why are they open if their quality of good and service is so poor ? On top of that they charge an exta 1 euro for no reason whatsoever, which is just pure fraud. The Gementee and consumer protection services (ACM) should know about this because what the way this place conducts business is deplorable.

Ordered some food in the night. Suddenly 30 cents more expensive at checkout. They just try to screw you and if you say anything about it they say it's for the bag.

The owner is cheeky. He does not understand English and charges one additional euro on the basis of not having an EU credit card. The food is grim and is not worth a single penny. Just avoid it.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Kapsalon was overpriced, mediocre at best, and practically vegetarian, and the restaurant itself was unhygienic. This was still overshadowed somehow by the unbelievably rude, cheap, and bitter staff. My friend and I ordered takeout and were given a single napkin to share between the two of us. When I politely asked for a second napkin, the staff shouted “This isn’t a McDonald’s - go!!”. Practically had to beg for cutlery to-go as well. Such hostility and aggression over something as basic as a single napkin was completely unwarranted and shocking. Having lived in the Netherlands and visited Amsterdam several times, I can confidently say that this has been my worst doner experience, both in taste and service. I echo all of the negative reviews on this page and strongly suggest you disregard the owner’s responses. The worst kapsaloon i ever had. Was full of French fries rarely i could see some meat.

The owner is very rude, makes you pay extra money for card transaction, he puts little meat/chicken in the doner, the place is unhygienic. Stay away, I would not recommend.

This place is nasty ! The communication with them was difficult either in EN or NL. They rushed us to order while we were still looking at the menu board. We paid 28€ for 2 kebab 2 drinks and portion fries way too much for what it is ! The place is not well cleaned at all no hygiene I don’t recommend !

Wow this place is awful in all ways. I recently ordered delivery. The app said it had been delivered but I hadn’t received my food. I couldn’t get in touch with the delivery service so I called the restaurant to make sure they got my order. I was yelled at by two people within 4 words they cut me off. They are SO rude it’s unbelievable. All I asked was if the order had been received. If it hadn’t been received I would sort it out or reorder with the delivery company. They hung up on me mid-yelling at me and eachother in the background. Another time I went here late at night and the place was absolutely filthy. I should never have ordered from here again. It’s awful. Food is bad. People are rude. They don’t deserve to be in business.

I ate each wrap for 7.5 euros! It was very cost-effective for Dutch prices, and the meat and vegetables were delicious. It was nice that they gave me the option to add some extra spicy sauce. The owner was friendly and overall, considering it was a kebab restaurant, it was clean 😀

We wanted to buy an ice cream and there was a misunderstanding about how much we had to pay and one of the employees became very angry that it was taking a long time and then he started talking very rudely about what we wanted to buy. So we didn't want to buy anything anymore, we just wanted our money back. Then that gentleman gets angry again because we wasted 5 minutes of his time! I find that very rude and rude! I hope this employee stops doing that! 😡

I placed an order at 7:35 PM and my food didn't arrive until 4 hours later poor delivery service and bad restaurant I called the restaurant several times in a polite tone and the answer I got was “I don't have any delivery people you have to call home delivery ” and it was said every time in an aggressive tone, never again Kebab Amsterdam for me, this restaurant therefore gets 0 stars from me. I have to add 1 star otherwise I can't post this comment but still 0 zero stars!!

We ordered before 7:00 PM and finally received the food at 9:18 PM. Then you expect the best food in the world... Well, no. A kapsalon with half a slice of cucumber, no tomato and lukewarm fries. So would definitely look elsewhere

I accidentally stumbled across this kebab restaurant, and i’m very glad I did! The staff are absolutely lovely - very generous and friendly. The food was delicious - best kebab I’ve had. Had a hungry feeling so a friend and i went to eat here at 1 am on saturday. Nice shop clean but small. You can only sit there with max 6 people, but for us it was fine. Not very busy but a lot of take a way. I had the baquette with hot chicken(surinamees style). It was served hot and with a proper amount of meat on it. Good saus was added as well and the package was neat. My friend had the donor wrap, not specifically on the menu but was offered. He liked this one as well, he is a donor specialist in my point of view. Overall good spot and i will return soon to try more items.

Service was good, really enjoyed the food

I went there to try the Döner box. The price was reasonable (7€), service was friendly. As for the food… I did not enjoy the meat much as it was cut into cubes instead of slices plus it had much hard/chewy pieces, but the fries and vegetables were nice. I would recommend takeout as the place was not so appealing but they also have outside tables with a nice view of De Pijp.
