⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐? Absolutely not. I am really incredibly angry and disappointed. I ate at KFC today and afterwards I got extremely severe diarrhea. I’ve been dealing with this for hours now and it is truly ridiculous. I have never had such a severe reaction after a meal. I seriously don't think this is normal. You pay for food and then you spend the rest of the evening sick on the toilet. I really wonder how food safety and hygiene are handled. I am so angry about this that I am even considering filing an official report. I am absolutely not taking this lightly. KFC, I seriously expect a response to this. This was the last time I will eat here.

The food is okay, only there's never any salt with the fries, but the staff is truly unbelievable; they can't even manage a smile and I'm not even greeted. I'm not happy.

This isn't the KFC as it used to be. We ate on-site; it was quiet. Had the wrong drink, then my burger was missing. Milkshake tasted like rust. And the chicken was really dry and hard, like they deep-fried the leftovers five times; there was no chicken on it at all. A waste of money!

Just went through the KFC drive-thru and ordered 14 hot wings. After waiting 20 minutes, they told me at the counter that the hot wings were sold out. Couldn't they have told me this immediately when ordering? So I opted for 5 Originals instead. What a disappointment! You shouldn't call this chicken! Greasy, dry things with hardly any real meat. No, never KFC again for me!

Unbelievable, I go to KFC and a few hours later I have diarrhea and am vomiting. Lay in bed for a few days with food poisoning. Yuck!

The restaurant is dirty, the trash cans are overflowing, and the front door is broken. It takes a very long time for orders to be taken and processed, and almost none of the machines issue a receipt. Furthermore, there were no napkins with my order.

Utter laziness on a quiet Monday. Leaving the terrace doors locked, no delivery signs at the self-order terminal, not refilling receipts. Too hot inside.

Quick chicken. The food was as expected from KFC. Unfortunately, they forgot the sauce we had ordered.

Got a chocolate milkshake and threw up afterwards. I thought it tasted weird, like the chocolate syrup had been open for months and wasn't refrigerated. Yuck.

Just got KFC for 3 people and they forgot half of it, no toy for our granddaughter and didn't even get 2 packets of fire sauce, swapped crispytenders for 2 other pieces of chicken, sorry, a waste of my money.

You're better off going through the drive-thru; they're a lot faster there than just dutifully ordering at the counter.

Terribly crowded as if it were free, but the price didn't reflect that. Never having to wait an hour again, a waste of time for what you eat.

No plates to serve it at the table. No toilet paper and a filthy toilet where I won't let my kids pee. No rooftop terrace with playground equipment accessible, door locked. And my chair is sticky. Next time, back to McDonald's.

worthless wait a very long time, about 15 minutes, for very few fries for 7 euros 20. And if you say anything about it, you get a big mouth. complaining to customer service doesn't help either. I'm driving on from now on. Better hungry than annoyance

A fantastic experience. Beautiful park where the tulips take center stage. Quintessentially Dutch vibes. Highly recommended with super friendly staff.

Bad and unclean. The feathers are still there and not cleaned. This is the first and last time I've had this, and the chicken is still raw. I've posted a picture to prove my point; I don't know if it will be published or not.

Restaurant open until midnight, so you arrive really hungry at 11:40 PM, and guess what, the door is closed.

I don't know if the chicken was alive; it escaped through the kitchen and they had to catch it. We waited over an hour and a half for our order, almost two hours. The food was cold, but thankfully they didn't get the order wrong this time. The most incredible thing is that they've learned to count; this time, they put the correct number of chicken pieces. Congratulations on a job well done! :)

Little for way too much money. Tasteless milkshake. Coleslaw no longer available too. Discovering upon arriving home that too few pieces of chicken were packed.

Had to wait 40 minutes for an order. Some people waited 50 minutes. People who ordered last were served first. Logistically, it was a nightmare.

Has to be the worst KFC in the Netherlands. They manage to make sure the fries are cold even when you eat inside. The chicken is barely warm. The upstairs seating appears to be in a cold room. Turn on the heating. The restrooms are disgusting, and the staff can't even speak to anyone properly.

I recommend any place where the service is so good; the food is as expected and it's fine, but the people are very attentive.

I waited 40 minutes for my order. Then they told me they were out of chicken. I did get a different burger. After 5 minutes, we were kicked out because they wanted to close. A very strange turn of events; we won't be back.

I always have to wait in the drive-thru for an insanely long time, and if they have little specials like no tomato or something, I just assume it's all over. And then you think the wait is long because of those specials, but that's not the case.

We went for dinner with my family this week Friday and we ordered bucket chicken and it's look like cooked hour back it's not at all hot . Also the tables are not cleaned I see few tables still plates are kept like that . Overall disappointed for us

It's getting better again with service and taste

Picked up food, and when we got home, we discovered a completely different order in the bag. We were the only ones in the drive-thru during the evening hours, so you assume your order is correct. There shouldn't be much to confuse. I tried calling, but no answer. I filed a complaint through the website, saying I want a refund because I didn't get what I ordered. They say they can't do anything because it's a franchise and can only offer a Friends card. Pretty easy. From now on, just empty the bag with the order before leaving the drive-thru.

The price is too high and the chicken is too small!!! No, thanks, not for me anymore.

I've previously placed an order through the app for a bucket of chicken tenders (20), and when I got home, there were 18. I mentioned this at the counter when I returned, and they gave me two extra with that bucket. This evening, we went through the drive-thru and ordered another bucket of 20 tenders, and when I got home, there were now 17. I'm not going to drive all the way back to pick them up, but I think they have trouble counting in Alkmaar, and I'm not satisfied. It's actually crazy that next time I'll just count them in front of them before I go home.

The chicken was cold and not fresh. When I asked for freshly fried chicken, I had to wait more than 20 minutes. The staff was very indifferent and provided zero service. After 20 minutes, we received chicken that was not tasty and overcooked, not crispy or crunchy. I will never come back here again. Not worth a star. The restaurant also does not look nice or clean.

There was a bit of confusion when picking up the order. The sign said it was ready, but it was still being prepared. The wrap I ordered was delicious. Not unimportantly, the restrooms were perfectly clean.

The food here is always excellent. However, the restrooms were extremely dirty (read: the men's toilet seat was peed on), the tables were very dirty, the trash cans were overflowing, and there was one table where a soda had spilled, but the staff hadn't cleared it.

What a terrible experience at the Alkmaar location! We literally had to wait an hour for our order. The staff was too lazy and disinterested to be even remotely customer-friendly.

The girl was single, super sweet, but incredibly hardworking. All due respect to her, and it's understandable that it takes a little longer if management can't plan better.

If you're looking for a quick drive-thru, this isn't the place. The food is fine, but be prepared for very slow service. I've had this experience several times.

Chaotic, but I think that's part of it

Today at 11:30 AM, I arrived at the Drive-Thru. The intercom told me they were closed. I asked what time they'd open, but was told they didn't have a cook and therefore didn't have any chicken yet, so they couldn't help me. Always a drama at this KFC. It's like a COA (Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers).

The staff acted as if they had just consumed 10 junk food. It took half an hour for one bucket, plus the food wasn't fresh.

What a terrible place! I placed my order and paid, the door closed, and nothing happened. After 10 minutes, I walked in and the girl looked completely surprised. She'd simply forgotten about me. That's impossible. Rematch 9-9-25 This time, I ordered food inside and ate it there. There's nothing wrong with the food itself, but when you look around, it's a filthy mess. I went upstairs to the restroom; the bathroom fixtures are too filthy to use and haven't been cleaned in weeks. The dirt practically runs off the glass panels under the banister. The floors, tables, and chairs are too filthy to touch. An attempt was made to clean the windows to the outside, but they've gotten worse rather than better. If you're the owner or manager, you should be ashamed of yourself for letting the place deteriorate so much.

I waited an hour for an order to be delivered, called, and no one answered. Five minutes later, I received a message that the order had been canceled for no reason. Waste of time, order somewhere else.

Ugh, what incredibly awful staff, not a single smile. Dirty, uh, filthy restrooms. Everything is just ridiculously bad. As the owner, do something about it!

I always thought I didn't like KFC, but to my surprise, I recently found the food in Hoorn quite okay. Yesterday, however, the source of my trauma was revealed once again: KFC Alkmaar. For a €40 order, I initially had to stand for half an hour. During that time, I watched my food slowly get cold, while twenty people behind me were cheerfully served. If, after 25 minutes, you see your order number disappear from the screen and ask for an explanation, you're not helped but sent away with an arrogant look—by the exact same grumpy employee who stood there like that years ago. After 30 minutes, you finally get your bag of food. Bag, because there wasn't a tray in it: apparently too much trouble. Inside, a meal that had cooled to absolute zero. The burger looked like it had been personally smashed by Rico Verhoeven, and the "cheese fries" had a mere three drops of cheese sauce. As a gesture of goodwill, there was a separate container – cold, chemically yellow, and probably freshly made in Chernobyl. I left the fries alone. And no, the misery didn't end there. The upstairs resembled a professionally rehearsed mess. Tables and floors covered in food scraps, overflowing waste bins that were never emptied, and dustpans and brushes that happily wandered around upstairs instead of being used. The only thing that tasted remotely normal was the milkshake – but let's be honest: a toddler could serve that too. So that's not where the one star comes from, unfortunately, I couldn't give less than that. Conclusion: 45 minutes of my day wasted. KFC Netherlands would do well to remove the logo from this building and distance themselves from this branch, or just close it down for good.

The food itself is fine, but very pricey. This KFC seems to have forgotten there's an upstairs. It's downright filthy, with food scraps on the floor and an overflowing trash can.

We sat here for half an hour as if they still had to catch the chicken, and when the food finally arrived, it was cold and so salty I thought they were deep-frying the North Sea. The slogan is "11 herbs & spices," but apparently, the staff only know salt. If I'd wanted that much salt, I would have shoveled my driveway in the winter. And then the upstairs: so filthy I seriously thought I'd accidentally walked into an escape room themed "Surviving in a Biohazard Zone." Even the chickens themselves would refuse to step inside. In short: goosebumps, but not from the chicken. #weescaped

What antisocial staff. Ordered online and picked it up. The email didn't say what to do: go inside or use the drive-through. So, I went inside to be sure. I explained that I ordered online and didn't know what to do. All the employee said was "order." She mumbled so much that I had to ask six times. She was busy with something and walked away. Someone else took over and mumbled "order" again. I had to ask five more times what they were saying. Finally, I gave the order number a second time, and they got busy, and a little later I walked away with a bag of food. A few minutes later, I got home, and some of my order was missing. The wrap I had burned tasted good. They must have copied the fries from their competitor with the big yellow "M"—limp and cold. Definitely not going back!

The dirtiest KFC I've ever experienced. I didn't want to touch the door frames, the soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty, so I couldn't even wash my hands properly. Food wasn't brought to the table, and no one called upstairs either, so I had to wait downstairs for my order before eating upstairs.

Upon entering, it looked like a sauna, and all the air conditioning was broken. The staff were making fun of you right in front of you. They didn't understand you at all. The food was terrible and especially not fresh. It said "fresh made daily," but that's completely wrong. NEVER AGAIN.

Very rarely that I get the right order and always have to go back inside to get items that they forgot to add. Wouldnt choose this kfc if you want to eat at one.

They were chewing gum behind the counter, I ordered an 'I want Cheese' burger WITHOUT bacon, I got one with BACON flavor... I felt sick

KFC remains a safe bet for a quick chicken meal, even if it's not exceptional. The products are good, in line with what you'd expect from the brand, and the overall hygiene is good, which is always appreciated. On the other hand, the biggest drawback remains the wait time: for a fast food restaurant, you expect to be served quickly, but here you often have to wait much longer than expected. It's a shame, because it somewhat spoils the experience.

Disinterested, gum-chewing staff. The milkshakes tasted awful and had strange lumps in them. Not again...

Wow, this place has gone downhill. Two small chicken pieces (in my experience, they used to be much more/bigger) and fries that were just plain awful and too limp. No mayonnaise or anything, and they didn't even ask if we wanted mayo with it.

The most customer-unfriendly KFC I've ever had. And that's not a one-off; it's just that there's no other KFC nearby. Because I love the hot wings. But I've never met anyone who actually enjoys working there. They're always grumpy and disinterested. It's time for a manager to take action. Good customer service is hard to come by at KFC Alkmaar.

After a long wait, our order was served incomplete. Since the ordering machine didn't give us a receipt, I had to explain what exactly was missing. They gave us part of what was missing, but because I got tired of explaining, I just left the rest, even though I had paid. For sure this is my last time in this place.
