Food: If I had to give it a rating, it would be a 7. Fish cakes lacked flavor. Pad Thai Kai had overly large chicken pieces. Service: Only Asian staff in the kitchen. Plenty of staff on the counter, but not necessarily friendly or service-minded. Food arrived relatively quickly. Atmosphere: Not Thai. The interior was well-maintained, but not Asian. Combined with the non-Asian staff, there was no Thai atmosphere.

After a very positive experience two years ago, I returned today with a group who were here for the first time. What a huge disappointment. I was embarrassed that I had taken them there. The staff was unfriendly and clearly unable to cope with the crowds. After sitting for half an hour, we had to ask if we could even order. The starter was served in stages, with a break of about half an hour. We ended up waiting two hours for the main course. The rice was cold and the chicken dishes were only lukewarm. It was also uncomfortably cold in the restaurant. Several guests were wearing coats or scarves. Not once were we asked if we wanted another drink or if everything was to our liking. So, we skipped dessert. When it came to paying, we were allowed to join the back of the line. For my group, this was unfortunately the first and last time. They genuinely asked me why on earth I had taken them here. Such a shame, especially since my first experience had been so positive.

The hospitality and service are a 10. Very friendly people working there, Allahumma baarik! Only the food feels like they're spending as little money as possible on it. As frugal as possible, and unfortunately, that's reflected in the taste. I had a "dynamite shrimp," but it was all dough and tasted a bit like an oliebol soaked in sunflower oil. The spring roll had more noodles than chicken. These are very important points, because they can ultimately ruin a business.

We had made a reservation, but upon arrival, they couldn't find it. Fortunately, they did their best to find us a table. The food was delicious, but there was about a 45-minute gap between courses, which I found a bit disappointing.

We had a wonderful meal at Krabi Thai yesterday! The service was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. The food was incredibly delicious: fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. There was a small mistake with one of the dishes, but they resolved it so nicely: we even got some food on the house! We thought that was incredibly thoughtful. 😊 In short: great service, fantastic food, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended; we'd love to come back!

The woman on the phone was very sweet and helpful with our reservation. The food was also delicious, but we waited almost an hour for our food. I understand it was busy, but they offered us a small snack so we could eat something in the meantime.

The food was delicious and hot. You didn't have to wait long for your dishes. Unfortunately, the spring roll sauce was watery and lacking in flavor. The spring rolls themselves are crispy, generously filled, not greasy, and delicious. The chicken cashew was very tasty this year; a generous portion with many different vegetables, chicken, and cashew! The dish is a bit spicier than expected due to the many dried chili peppers, but not overly so. The desserts are generous and tasty and are charmingly presented. The staff seems a bit inexperienced in the hospitality industry and isn't very customer-focused or experience-oriented. Some are even surly and act rushed. They don't ask if you have drinks or if everything is to your liking; you have to constantly call them. They don't clear tables themselves, which gives it a messy appearance. Different chefs work on different days. This could explain why the dishes taste different. The atmosphere was good, the decor attractive; beautiful and warm. The price-quality ratio is relatively good. Fortunately, there's no "Bangkok" atmosphere at Krabi Thai in Amsterdam West. TOTAL Rating: 7.8 Tip: Teach staff some more skills. Halal: Yes! 100%

Worst Pad Thai ever, never again! Everything was literally swimming in oil, not at all what you'd expect from a good Pad Thai. Way too expensive for what you get. The service was absolutely terrible: unfriendly staff and a far too long wait for our food. First and last time I'll be back.

What a disappointment. The service was downright terrible, and the staff acted arrogant and disinterested. There wasn't a shred of hospitality in sight. As a customer, you felt completely ignored, which is completely out of line with what you'd normally expect from a Thai restaurant. The food was fine, but that absolutely didn't make up for the disrespectful attitude of the staff. I'll never set foot in here again. A waste of money and your evening.

On Sunday 8th June we went to Krabi Thai for dinner and it was fantastic in one word. From the moment we entered, we were warmly and cordially welcomed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, without being pushy, just the right balance. The tableware was really great: professional, alert and with genuine attention for the guest. We opted for a selection of grows, and each dish was a party in itself. The flavours were refined, well-matched and clearly prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The presentation was also beautiful - the eye got just as much as the taste buds😍 What we also really appreciated was the peace and attention with which everything was served. No rush, no long waiting times, but a nice flow of dishes and explanation where desired. They really listened to our wishes, which you don't experience everywhere these days. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm, stylish and yet relaxed, you immediately feel at ease. You notice that they work here with love and passion, both in the kitchen and in the service. In short: the food was super delicious, the staff friendly and professional, and the whole evening felt like a treat. Tijdens een zakelijk diner met collega’s viel dit restaurant helaas tegen. We moesten lang wachten op ons eten, dat bij aankomst koud en incompleet was. Wachten op noodles of rijst. Sommigen hadden hun eten al en anderen weer niet. De drankjes waren lauw, en het personeel kwam onprofessioneel, onvriendelijk en arrogant over. Voor een gelegenheid als deze hadden we op zijn minst een minimale mate van gastvrijheid en service verwacht. Ik schrijf deze recensie terwijl ik nog in het restaurant zit, wat aangeeft hoe teleurstellend de ervaring is. Ik kom hier echt never nooit meer!!

The host is a star! Recognizes his (regular) customers and shows that he appreciates them. He is always up for a chat and a laugh and always comes by to ask if everything is to your liking. Radiates calm and class. This alone makes the food, which is already delicious in its basic form, taste even better. In combination with the atmosphere, an ideal evening out. Recommended!

Great place for Halal Thai food. Almost Authentic taste but that I attribute to not having Thai produce not being available vs. the chefs abilities and skill set.

We definitely wanted to try this restaurant, because we eat Thai more often and it is located just around the corner. Called in advance to reserve a table at 5:00 PM. That was not necessary due to Ramadan. When we got there it suddenly became a problem because the place would be full around 7:00 PM. Finally, after insisting with difficulty, welcome... but until 6:30 PM. On the table were the abbreviated menu cards with a choice between 4 starters, 4 main courses and 4 desserts including 1 drink of your choice for E.45.00. This is also due to Ramadan and the crowds that were expected. Well, as a HORECA man, I understand that you want to keep everything running smoothly and not let the kitchen go into chaos, but please tell us that at the entrance if you point out that we only have a limited time. No alcoholic drinks are served (where the red flags were already starting to fly) so just a tonic, The dishes on the menu could be ordered a la carte, so of course we had the famous Thai fish cakes as a starter and Beef in black-bean sauce and prawns in yellow curry as main. First of all the fish cakes: 4 small limp and tasteless "poffertjes" with a watery chili sauce, to spice it up a bit, on the side. The main courses are served with jasmine rice, which was undercooked and certainly no jasmine was near it. Beef was tender, but tasted as if a bottle of Maggi had been poured over it. The prawns were cooked in a bland, watery yellow "curry". No taste or cracking at all in both dishes. The service was impersonal and disinterested. The managers walk around in sweatpants and think they are there. The place looks nice and modern, unfortunately there was a lack of basic background music. What was left behind was the aftertaste of having ended up in a food shed, before you even reached your seat and still had to order the starter. And that for E100.00 for the 3 of us. In summary: Quality Extremely Disappointing.

Our experience was disappointing, mainly due to the poor service and the high price in relation to the experience. Things went wrong with the drinks from the start. We asked five different employees but got nothing. Only after the sixth time did we get water, and even after that we had to keep pushing before we finally got our ordered drinks – this took a total of 30 minutes. A clear example of this is the photo we took: my plate was completely empty, while my glass was still unfilled on the table. That says a lot about how long we had to wait for our drinks. The food itself was tasty, especially the main course. The spring rolls and chicken wings were okay. Because we were very hungry after a day of fasting, we ate everything, despite the lack of drinks. When we wanted to order dessert, it was only after an hour that we were told that our choices were not available. When we asked if any of our chosen desserts were available, we were told they were “limited”. That's understandable, but since we finished our meal quite quickly (about 20 minutes after ordering) and finished earlier than other guests around us, we expected that we would still get one. Yet we ended up having to wait 40 minutes for a dessert that we didn't even originally want. Here too, an employee confirmed the original dessert with us, after which we later received another one. In addition, we thought it was expensive for what we got: €154 for 3 people, including two large bottles of water. For that price you expect not only good food, but also decent service, which was completely lacking here. Overall 1 star: the food was mostly good, but the poor service, long wait times and high price made for a disappointing experience.

Don't come here on your birthday, employees are generally rude, except for one lady whose hair was a bit short, she tried to make the situation better. Although we were compensated with a free pastry and drink, I think the staff could be better trained in service. We were 4 people in total including me. We waited almost 2 hours for the food, again we were compensated for this, I must say, but how can it be that people who arrived later than us had already left before we had received our food. I asked an employee if she could see where the food was and she replied that she is not in the kitchen. This is nice and professional. We indicated to a male employee how long we were waiting because waiting almost 2 hours is of course abnormal, I don't know if he was a manager but he first started a discussion before apologizing, I don't know if the apology was sincere but okay, the food was not bad although I didn't even feel like it anymore and because of the compensation I also give 2 stars instead of 1. It would have been better to celebrate my mother's birthday somewhere else.

This is by far the best restaurant I have visited in the Netherlands. First of all, the service is amazing (the workers greet you when you enter and help you to get to your table). The atmosphere inside is very calm (despite the fact that it can get quite crowded inside) due to the professionalism and rapidness of the workers. As for the food, literally everything was out of this world. I couldn't find one thing to complain about. It's very nice to find a place of such high quality that serves Halal food. Lastly, the place is easy to access from De Vlugtlaan metro, tram or bus station.

Bij aankomst moesten we herhalen wat we besteld hadden om vervolgens iets te krijgen wat we niet besteld hadden. Vlees is zo taai als maar kan. ZWARE TELEURSTELLING!!!!

Fast and accessible food. Good chicken menus. Different degrees of spiciness possible. A bit less that the fried rice has now become +€5.5.

What a very disappointing experience we recently had at Krabi Thai Restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit was anything but as expected and we would like to express our concerns. We had to wait more than two hours for our food, which is absolutely unacceptable. Moreover, we were kept on the line by an employee who repeatedly indicated that the food would take "another five minutes". This was said over and over again, without any action being taken or any clear explanation given to us about the delay. This lack of communication and the poor service completely ruined our evening. We understand that it can be busy, but a wait of more than two hours and the lack of honesty towards the customer are unprofessional and absolutely not what we would expect from a restaurant like Krabi Thai. We hope that you take this complaint seriously and take steps to prevent situations like this in the future.

An easily accessible location. The area has plenty of parking spaces. Made a reservation by telephone. For children there are some tasty chicken spring rolls and chicken satay. I also recommend the shrimps, they are really delicious. The food is so tasty, highly recommended. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I don't think the price is expensive for what you pay per person.

Placed an order in the restaurant and suddenly received a different price than what was on the menu. As soon as I showed the online menu it said it was the old prices. Then waited 70 minutes for my food. ZERO SERVICE.

I'm really picky about restaurants. I would happily drive a few kilometers to this restaurant. This is one of the best restaurants I have eaten at. The food, atmosphere and especially the service are top notch. The food is so delicious that I keep coming back. I will definitely say go there!

Delicious food and very cozy atmosphere

At the invitation of my niece, the six of us went to eat at Krabi Thai. We had made a reservation for 6:00 PM, but we didn't arrive until 6:15 PM. We ordered the food and at about a quarter to seven we received the starter and around 7:20 pm the main course. It was nice, and we had just ordered tea and coffee. Then an employee came to us and told us that other guests had made reservations and that we only had fifteen minutes left to enjoy our coffee, tea and dessert. I asked in surprise why that was the case, since we had made a reservation anyway. The employee explained that they work with block times. Given the fact that we could not eat our coffee and tea - which had not even been served - within fifteen minutes, we decided to leave. That was around 8:00 PM. I found it very disappointing to be treated this way. Nothing was told in advance about block times and no one around me has ever experienced anything like this. We found this to be a very guest-unfriendly way of treating people.

I normally don't write a review, especially not a negative one, but this time I can't ignore it. Let's start with the positives: • The food was tasty • The atmosphere was pleasant Unfortunately, there are also a number of less positive points: • We had to wait an extremely long time for our food. However, what decides me not to come back here is the lack of confidence. I went here for dinner with a group of friends and we didn't check the receipt right away, assuming everything was correct. Afterwards, when calculating the costs per person, it turned out that there were several incorrect items on the receipt. So it is the last time we come here.

De bestelling was niet compleet; slechts de helft werd gebracht, en de rest liet lang op zich wachten. Dit veroorzaakte veel frustratie, zeker omdat er totaal geen communicatie was over de vertraging. Wat de situatie nog erger maakte, was de houding van de manager. Het was een jonge dame die zich erg onprofessioneel gedroeg. Ze was duidelijk geïrriteerd en kortaf, wat de sfeer enorm negatief beïnvloedde. Ze keek me niet aan tijdens gesprekken en leek totaal geen interesse te hebben in het oplossen van de problemen. Zo’n niveau van service en houding van het personeel hoort niet thuis in een horecazaak. Ik zou dit restaurant op basis van deze ervaring absoluut niet aanraden.

We waren voor dinner met familie en vrienden ,de service was echt slecht ,bij de hoofdgerecht was de eten aan tafel voor de bestek en iedereen kreeg zijn eten en ik moet wachten voor mij noedels die kwam echt koud en te zacht gekookt,iedereen was aardig behalf een vrouw met een jasje misschien een supervisor of zo iets die was zo arrogant ,ze zei geen enkel woord toen ze ons tafel aan het opruimen was ,ze keek eens niet naar ons , onprofessioneel ze stapel alle boorden op ons tafel met alle eten rest ,en niemand vroeg of wij desserts willen bestellen ,ik persoonlijk kom ik nooit daar terug ,wat echt jammer duur restaurant maar de service is echt slecht,en nog moeten we betalen voor tap water 1,50 wat echt schaamte,

Recently my girlfriend, friends and I had dinner at Krabi Thai in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, my girlfriend and I had a bad experience because we got very sick after our visit to this restaurant. This is not recommended for people who are not looking to avoid food poisoning in the middle of the week. For us, this restaurant will never be an option again; investment has only been made in the interior, and that's all.

Full tent with DJ. The music was too loud so you could barely hear each other. The food is mediocre. Fish cakes were tasty but chicken satay was tasteless. The main courses were very average. It just didn't taste like authentic Thai cuisine. Service was okay.

Had a very strange experience, first it was indicated that the kitchen closes at 10 o'clock, so give your order and continue, I was called back if that suddenly no longer happened. Nice tent. Been there 4 times now and always waited longer than an hour. It doesn't matter if it's the weekend or during the week. The starters, such as the large shrimps and the chicken satay, are really tasty. Only they have really gone backwards with the main courses! The last two times I ate there the sauce of my chicken with kechew was so watery. My guests didn't think it was wow either. For the rest, nice people :)

The service is horrible! We ordered mango juice, but it turned out they only had two. They forgot our tom yum soup, and even after we told them that we still wanted it despite the delay, they didn't prepare it. They didn't apologize but still wanted to charge us for it. I have never encountered such bad service before.

I've eaten Thai before, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was here. The starters and main course were served within minutes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great; Relaxing music plays, creating an authentic Thai vibe. The employees are customer-friendly. We will definitely come back here and will definitely recommend the restaurant to others. And so nice that everything is Halal! A little tip: it would be nice if the employees kept a better eye on when the drinks are empty, so that they can proactively take a new order. I had to get up now to ask this. An absolute highlight, however, is that you serve mint and lemon as standard with drinks, so that the customer can immediately decide whether they want to add this.

You come in and you are not allowed to sit everywhere out of convenience. The atmosphere from the service is not there. The food was not like that that makes you feel like you are eating thai, it was literally salty and soy sauce. No taste. If you want an experience, this is not the place. The prices are high for the quality you get. The portions are pitiful. It's a real shame, because the decor is cute, but that's it.

What a delicious meal we had here! Starter, main course, all delicious. Never had such delicious Thai food before. My husband missed a beer with his meal, but they do not serve alcohol here, which we of course respect. If we ever come to Amsterdam again, we will definitely eat here again.

Delicious food, normally I'm a fussy eater, but everything here was so tasty. I also tasted my friends' food, everything was top notch and definitely recommended. And the service is really great, super nice staff

Just been to Krabi Thai. What an Izan tent. We were first placed somewhere until we could sit in our right places. This already took 15 minutes. Then we sat for another 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order. We asked the waitresses twice if we could place our order... each time we were told 'someone will be with you shortly'. Finally 10 minutes came. later someone will take our order. Then we wait a very long time... after about 40 minutes my girlfriend asks a waitress if it will take long. The waitress indicates that she forgot to place our order. We filled our stomachs with a cocktail. Then the waitress says that the food will be made soon. In total we waited about 1 hour and 10 min +/-. There is little attention for the customers there. You have to jump in every time and make sure that your order does not take too long. I then went to get food somewhere else. This restaurant is definitely going off my list. I can't comment on the food, because I wasn't able to eat it for the 2nd time. Last time I also waited a very long time because they forgot my order. Luckily my colleague didn't mind waiting at the time. Truly not recommended! A sincere tip for Krabi Thai: Please hire more staff. And one that ensures that everyone actually gets food. Some ladies walk around there like headless chickens (sorry).

Takeaway dish with squid, noodles instead of rice. Add fish cakes (4 pcs). €36. I don't mind if the quality is good, but it's not cheap. Turns out they forgot to add the fish cakes. Then it's a red flag for me.

Unfortunately the service was so bad that the food didn't matter anymore. First, we had a reservation, and when we went, they said that they made a double reservation so we had to wait. (First bad sign) Secondly, we ordered our food , we were waiting for more than an hour so we decided to ask then why it takes so long. So they came to us saying that they forgot to give our order ( we were even at their privé place). The guy came and said that one round of drinks are on him. AFTER 2 HOURS AND 10 MINUTES, a blonde woman came an asked about the drinks and we asked about a discount instead of drinks and then she became really rude, she didn't even apologize for the delay and she said that also other tables were waiting and she had an attitude. Really, unacceptable!!! And since we were a big group we were taking couple minutes to decide about the drinks and she became a bit rude again instead of even being shamed for letting us wait for so long and at least be patient. I have never encountered such a but service before

Food was super tasty. But service is really bad. Management really doesn't know what he is doing. They could do with their work a bit more professionally.

Mainly a hype unfortunately. After much fanfare about it, we went to eat here. Interior is beautiful. Food unfortunately below average. I think the reviews are mainly by people who have never really had good Thai food, but here because it is halal. I think I would describe the food as imitation fast production Thai. Little love and taste that starts with the starters. The shrimp shell contains a lot of greasy sauce. The main courses are better seasoned but still lack that extra bit. The rice is sticky and thick. All in all, I didn't go here with high expectations, but I was disappointed, as I said... a hype

End of Ramadan and just music. Very disrespectful. What a child's portions and the worst thing is waiting so long for at least an hour and a half l... people are fasting hello???. Once I ate it, it tasted like all you can eat, but when I sat there it felt more like all you can meet. Snoopers and the stimuli rush over your body for the first and last time. Nothing for me, even your husband and wife are being checked carefully, just act normal, as people come here. I like class, I thought this was far-fetched.

The tastiest Thai I have visited so far. All the meat is Halal and during Ramadan they have an iftar menu. A bit pricey for what you get, but the taste makes up for it. Won't be there every week because of the prices, but this wasn't the last time either. Service super nice. Really know what they are doing. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant decor, tables a bit cramped together. Staff is chaotic and you always have a different waitress who does not coordinate with each other. They are in a hurry and have little regard for service. There are grimy young men serving in sneakers and T-shirts. Female staff is representative. The Iftar menu should not bear the name, wait 45 minutes for your food and until then you get a date and a glass of milk to soften the wait. The iftar menu is a very limited choice of starter/main course, dessert and drink for €45. There is no soup in the starter. A glass of water is not included. If you simply order all iftar menu components separately via the menu, you will also end up with €45. My conclusion is that the iftar menu is misleading and restricts choice. That is why it is not on the website. Tip; So just order from the menu, which will take "only 65 minutes". The chicken cashew is large pieces of tasteless chicken with peppers in a watery ocean oyster sauce. The cashew nuts are counted per dish and there are 8 of them. If you want fried rice instead of white rice, you pay a ridiculous surcharge of €4.50 per dish. To top it all off; you look into the open kitchen and the cook puts her wok spoon in her mouth to taste and then back into the wok to continue stirring. The manager and other staff are chatting but apparently they think it's completely normal and don't say anything about it. The floor manager does not take any direction, does not direct staff, does not check the turnaround time of orders, does not check the guests who are irritated while waiting for their food . She mainly answers the phone all evening. In short; more service brings more turnover, now it is more turnover but no service.

Had iftar menu here today. Everything was well taken care of and delicious. We were here more than 20 minutes before dinner time and all dishes arrived on time. To be repeated!

Ate there last Saturday evening. Cozy full tent, we had not made a reservation, but we were able to get a table. Service top, waiter came to clean our table immediately after we had finished our starter, and brought new crockery and napkins. Food arrived quickly and was genuinely delicious!! The noodles with chicken are highly recommended, but the fried rice with other dishes were also great! Lots of flavor, everything was just right for us. This restaurant is highly recommended if you like Thai food.

Served for Iftar dinner. Dinner time was at 6:53 PM. We had been there since 6:45 PM. At 7:00 PM the operator brought a date. At 7:30 PM the first two starters arrived, which were finished within a few minutes after a day of fasting. At 8:10 PM the main course finally arrived, mind you without rice. We also had to wait 5 minutes for that. The food was a really poor 2/10. Chicken cashew resembled a soup, beef did not taste fresh. Starters were also mediocre… No taste at all, it looked like stir-fry vegetables with chicken fillet. The passion fruit mojito, on the other hand, was delicious. For an iftar dinner it simply takes way too long before you receive the food. It would have been better if we had made a reservation in Bangkok, then I would have been guaranteed to eat on time. For me this was the first and last time Krabi Thai!
