Very bad "Mexican" food. The tortillas were very stiff, the meat was very salty. I rarely don't finish my food, but this time I had to throw it away. :(

They used to be delicious. I ordered today the quesadilla barbacoa (as usual). The last time I ordered was about 1 or 2 months ago (I have been a regular since 2023 ). The quality has gone down significantly. No coriander, very little mayo, smaller tortilla, tasteless meat. So sad I used to love it. Not an option for me anymore :/

Love the food, we’ve ordered a couple times from them (with attempts for several more orders) but the service for take-away orders are awful. They’ve canceled three separate times on us with no way to contact them except email. At least have a phone number so we can understand what happened or why, or cancel within a reasonable time so we don’t wait 45min and then find out it’s canceled?

Food was very little. Almost no meat for a high price. The bowl was almost like a lays chips pack 70%air

Ordered the tacos today. This was officially the most salt I eat in my life. Could not even finish the dish as it was unbelievably salty.

Ordered from La Catrina. Part of the order was missing. Besides, I don't know what happened to the salsa. It had some kind of slimy lid on it that bounces when you try to dip your burrito. And oh yes, it was of course generously garnished with mold.

A great burrito with fresh ingredients. There is ample, comfortable seating to sit at.

Everything is disgusting! The name already says it all... Death and arrogance is the highlight of this "Restaurant" Cold and loveless Mexican food. Disgusting! I have been to Mexico and its food as well as its people are exquisite...

We order here regularly, head and shoulders the tastiest Mexican we have ever ordered! Finally a place where they are generous with the amount of chicken. The different containers for building your own tacos are also great, so they are always deliciously fresh instead of soggy like many others. Thank you!

5 stars. -1 because the tortillas tear apart very quickly; -1 because there is no Valentina sauce (what do you mean 'Mexican restaurant'?; -1 because you pay a lot for tacos on such a bad tortilla. 2 stars because the employees try to make something of it, which is appreciated.

A hidden gem of exquisite mexican food that was up to my mexican standards. Best mexican food I've in Europe actually.

Disapointing experience. Ordered a Mini Nacho and this was the first time i got nachos where no quacamole was part of the basic order. I wrongly assumed the extra's you could add where on top off but now i had a (a few) chips and cheddar with little bean and tomatos. A LOT of jalapenos though. Also the tipping option on the payment terminal was a surprise for me so i accidentaly tipped 5 euro. Combined with the 8.95 for the basic mini Nacho (which on it's own was also not much in volume) not the expected value for money.

The pulled pork quesadillas here are filling, though a bit dry. However, the cochinita pibil filling is wonderfully flavorful without being too spicy. You can customize the spiciness by requesting the sauce on the side. Despite the portions looking small, ordering a starter and main will leave you very full. The price is on the higher side, with nachos and a quesadilla costing nearly 20 EUR. Overall, it's a tasty and satisfying option if you're ready for a hearty meal.

Not the worst burrito I've had, but definitely nowhere near the best. The pulled chicken and pork were a bit on the dry side, and overall, the burrito just needed a bit more flavour.

TO AVOID We came from the centrum specifically to try this, we got ignored by a first man, then his colleague came to tell us in an annoyed way “we are closed” even if google says it’s opened, very unprofessional to see us stand there for at least 5minutes and not tell us that it’s closed, but then we saw all the mess and the food on the floor and maybe they closed to finally clean it 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great food and lots of gluten free options. I had the chicken quesadilla with a side of guacamole. I would definitely order it again. Everything tasted great. It is a little hard to find because it is inside the Market 33 food hall

Hi, My family and I Love the food from La Cantina but when we ordered burrito today, there was no feta and no beans in the burrito and the quacamole was served on the side instead of in the burrito, so a little dissatisfied with our order as the flavours were missing

Extremely gross. Both the nachos and quesadillas tasted very chemical and the cheese tasted like plastic. There was very little cheese on the nachos and it was also cold. I do not recommend, because when I you asked them for a refund they told me there was nothing wrong with the dish.

Fast service so a nice option for lunch during the workday. Food tastes good, but is a bit pricey for Mexican food as you also pay for the location.

I was impressed when I saw the reviews here about the quality of the food, price and others. First I think this people are used with Tex Mex or Taco Bell food and doenst know how to appreciate a good homemade food from another culture. Expensive? I really don't know which world this people are living? Nowadays I never expend less then 40€ for 2 people when I go out for dinner. Anyways, I loved the food and how it was well seasoning specially the slow cooked pork. For years I lived with Mexicans and this food was as good as the one they used to do. I can't wait to come and eat in the restaurant next time 😉

IT was not worth the money, she asked for extras without knowing you had to pay extra for it cause she didn’t ask “would you like extras?” She said “what meat do want” and so without you knowing you paid like 4 euros extra!!! And it wasn’t even tasty.

Ordered food and received all kinds of containers with toppings in them, so you had to put the food together. Bad for the environment and not even really tasty. Such a pity! Please do something about your packaging.

Chicken naked burrito 5/5 🌟 I had it delivered. It was really tasty, I accidentally drooled on my desk, I was so hungry and I immediately ate quickly that I forgot to take pictures. The chicken is halal so we Muslims can eat there too. It's nice that they take this into account. It's worth repeating 🫶🏼.

Tastes good. They should have an option to buy extra tortillas. Be warned: I have seen them preparing my food grabbing ingredients with their bare hands on multiple occasions— so often that I don’t really want to return.

Pretty decent for Mexican food in the Netherlands, but that's about it. The burrito I got was overall good, but for €14 I was expecting a lot more flavor and quantity wise. Tastes like if they took "Mexican food" and tried to make it hip and trendy by serving it on a rock. Mexican food is meant to be eaten voraciously while wrapped up in foil, and not be fancy boujie Instagram food. They put so little beans in it, and didn't char the outside of the tortilla that it was missing a lot of potential flavor. Lastly, they used feta cheese in the burrito, and didn't offer me any house made salsas without having to pay extra which are both terrible ways to serve Mexican food.

It’s a fast burrito place in a food market. There’s next to no ambiance to the space, as it’s a food hall. You either like that vibe or you don’t. The food is good - it’s just not very Mexican. Feta cheese in a burrito? And not much meat at all. It’s expensive for what it is. It tastes good - but just not what I’d have hoped for. Very nice presentation on a slate, though.

Portions are large, and the food is good

The tacos were good and filling, they could however start breaking and stuff falls over and I couldn't find any cutlery in the area and none were provided with the dish. The fact that no dressing is included (i.e. guacamole or sour cream) on the tacos which already costs 14 euros, and that you have to pay €2 extra if you want guacamole is annoying and expensive. It also comes in a cup, so if there's no cutlery, it's not very convenient to use it.

Located in Market 33 a g food hall with a lot of different options! It’s only open on weekdays and has a good after work crowd. Portion size is huge but expensive at 14 euros. I guess the portion size sort of justifies it but would be nice to have a smaller portion at a lower price. Or just a salad nude borrito bowl with no rice for a healthier option. But tasted great!

This place offers a simple yet good variety of Mexican dishes (burritos, bowls and tacos). The ingredients are all very fresh and the salsa homemade. The best part is their homemade Agua de Jamaica which is very good and hard to find in Amsterdam. Their jalapeño hot sauce which was indicated with 2 chili’s on the menu could have been spicier to my taste. Definitely a good spot to have some Mexican lunch.

Great Mexican food in a nice atmosphere. We had quesadillas and guacamole.

Jammer dat als je thuis iets wil eten dus denkende dat het al is gemaakt zodat je meteen kan eten, moet je het alsnog zelf maken ( taco's ). Jammer dat de guacamole niet zelf was gemaakt maar typisch uit potje. Vlees kwaliteit was wel goed .

Had amazing tacos over here, my advice is to check the mixed option. Their guacamole is pornographic, it is so good :)

Great food and good delivery experience

Burrito was extremely plain, there was no flavour at all. No spices no sauce in Burrito most tasteless burrito I ever had.

Original review below, bumping to 4 stars as although my comments below were still true on a second visit, I had the pork and the habenero sauce and they were so so good that it made up a for the size. My recommendation is to get it to go, as then it won’t be cut in half, and that way you get one of the bready bits out the way at the start rather than having it end each half. Restaurant comment was right about the price too, I was mistaken. —- In many respects this is a great burrito. I had the chicken tinga and the meat was really great, so were the other fillings. It was easily the tastiest burrito I’ve had in the Netherlands (although that’s not the highest bar) But for almost 14 quid [edit: it was closer to 12:50 - my bad] the problem is it was way too small. Im just not that full - after eating food which is usually perfectly stomach shaped! The wrap looked the right size so I’m not sure what’s going on. Maybe this is a more authentic size for a burrito than the monsters you normally get? Even so. It came cut in half and from the cross-section you’d think it was a very different burrito than what it was. But its like those Japanese supermarket sandwiches - presentationally it’s looks great but it’s not at all representative. Within a couple bites of each half you were done with the best bit and left with the quite bready ends.

I ordered a chicken burrito recently. I am not familiar with the original mexican cuisine but ingrediants were not mixed very good. There was a huge piece of garlic in the middle. It would be better if the taste of the burrito was more homogeneous all over.
