The tacos we tried were nice but for the price, portion sizes can definitely be improved. The server was kind and friendly but him being the only one for all the tables made the overall service quite slow

The Paloma cocktail is too die for !! The place is welcoming and colourful, with lots of place to sit down and enjoy a meal or just drink :) Notable: table size is perfect to play board games as well !!

Always a great experience at LD! The food is super tasty. They take a lot of effort in creating great dishes with fresh ingredients. Micheladas and Margaritas are also delicious.

I’ve come to local dealer multiple times, and from the very first time I fell in love with this place. As someone who loves trying out Latin cuisine, this restaurant is one of the best I have tried without hesitation. Not only do they have an amazing selection of different flavors in their food menu, but as well in their drinks menu. Everything they make has been well thought of, even when it comes to the design aspects. For sure my go to place to take my friends to when they come visit me❣️🌮🍸🌺💖

Love this gem, been to Ams and the Antwerp one and loved the food in both. Variety of tacos, totopos, ceviche and quesadillas. Good for groups, dates, short or long stays. Love the mezcal cocktails. Friendly staff, love for food oozes!

After a long day at work, my group and I went to this Mexican restaurant because it had good reviews on Google and looked cozy and colorful. It's a small, colorful, and cozy place, so we went in with high expectations. The menu isn't very extensive, but we decided to order a few appetizers to try. I ordered "chicharrones" (€12), assuming they would be multiple pieces, as clearly indicated in the plural and, moreover, in Spanish—my native language. To my surprise, I only received one piece of chicharrón. I even laughed at the waitress because it seemed like a joke. I'm Latina, I know Mexican cuisine well, and I know exactly what flavors and textures should be like. A true chicharrón should be crispy and full of flavor in every bite. What I got was soft, with a little flavor only on the top, and the rest completely bland. I paid €12 for a single piece of chewy, characterless chicharrón. It's not just about the "focus on flavor," as other reviews claim: the flavor was lacking, the texture was too, and the portions were even worse. The quantities are minimal, and the prices are exorbitant. The place looks nice, but the dining experience was disappointing. Hopefully, they'll improve, because as it stands, I can't recommend it.

The food is very expensive, and there's little variety. The loaded fries were good. My friend ordered chicharrón, and the portion was very small for 12 euros.

We're not there at all! A total disappointment! The place is nice, the service is excellent, and the waitress is very kind. But the food isn't good at all... I like Mexican food, but I wouldn't go back here. Totopos with chips full of pepper, something I've never seen before! Other strange and very salty dishes.

An explosion of flavours! The food hit all the notes - it was extremely pleasant to enjoy the snacks along with a drink! Go there!

Hear me out. Premium tapas. The food, service, and atmosphere are 5 star! The food by far deserves the most applause. The flavor and presentation were amazing! I can’t say that enough, the flavor was amazing and worth the experience. The portion sizes were small so we did not leave feeling satiated but definitely enjoyed the flavors. I don’t generally associate Mexican cuisine with price but, this is a bias view on my part and comes from ignorance. You go to Local Dealer to experience an elevated cuisine that is a flavor bomb—not to enjoy the fast service and low price of Mrs. Carlota’s family run taco stand on the corner. Great place overall but not for those looking for cheap eats.

the food was amazing, the service kind, the price was absolutely reasonable and we had a very awesome dinner there. we even got a candle and birthday shots because i put a note in the reservation that said that we were a birthday party. thank you so much!

As the name implies, this place is addictive. The service was great - attentive, smiling and down to earth. Had a Local Negroni, it was well balanced and the mezcal made it deliciously Smoky. We ordered dishes to share, baby octopus, carnitas - which were both good but The ceviche Maracuyá - This was INSANELY GOOD! So well balanced, not too acidic and the passion fruit and fried onions took it to another level. They were not shy with the fish which I love. Although I understand the choice of tables and stools, conceptually and aesthetically, I am always a sucker for a chair that sits well - with back and arms rest. Just makes me stay longer and obviously less hunch-backed. However, I still think of the ceviche and the smoky Negroni - this dealer is worth a visit.

Pretty good spot to get some food and drinks in the city. Dishes were smaller than the price point implied though. Service was kind and did their job well. Can recommend! But be prepared for serving size to be on the small side.

Nice place, great service and great food. I have to give 3 stars just because I find I bit crazy have the tasting menu for 40pp and go home hungry with a final bill of almost 150€, the dishes are literally two bites. Too expensive for what it offers, would not recommend

It was a beautiful day and a perfect moment for a Michelada on the terrace. It took me right back to a good time I had in Mexico two years ago. That makes you hungry, so I ordered two borrego tacos – they were fine, Mexican size so small. I paid a total of €25 (it was supposed to be €22, but there was no change). The Michelada was on the menu for €4.50, but I had to pay €10.50 for it (a mistake according to the waiter). All in all quite a lot of money. It may be a bit silly to compare it with the prices in Mexico, but there it would cost a maximum of €7 together - and that is my immediate objection. Here on Dapperplein you pay fine dining prices for a simple street food snack with a drink. I won't be going back there again... it's a shame. I made a reservation online because of the delicious menu, but when I arrived there was a completely different menu. It's a shame for me because I have a nut allergy and almost every dish on the menu had nuts in it, some of which you couldn't leave out. You should keep the menu up to date online as people also come for the dishes. There was nothing with chicken on site but several dishes with the same birria beef. The prices are very very high. 15€ for a tostada… and >6€ for a beer. Cocktails, especially the non-alcoholic ones, are also more expensive than in the center. I wouldn't go there anymore.

If you like Mexican food, definitely visit it. Food was tasty but not wow for me personally! Nice to try once but not necessarily worth repeating. (For me) Our Mocktails were delicious! My son loves churros, unfortunately these were just the ones you buy from the supermarket and throw in the air fryer, only for a ridiculously high price. This was very disappointing Staff is really super friendly and helpful. Otherwise a nice tent

Wow, pequeño restaurante estupendo, no de lujo pero un ambiente frío con un excelente servicio , absolutamente me encantó el taco’s tenía el cordero, pollo y camarones , lo mejor que he probado , los cócteles estaban en punto de muy fuerte . El personal era atento y amable, no le pareció tan caro como los restaurantes centrales, deffo volveremos!

Great taco!! You can tell that the stews are made with care! The sauce is spicy but with a lot of flavor. We fell in love with the birria and the carnitas, incredible!!

All delicious fresh dishes to share, very well prepared with tasty herbs and sauces. Tables were very cozy. Good cocktails, also the non-alcoholic ones are very tasty. The restaurant is also attractively decorated.

80's Miami vibes with the most banging Mexican food, ceviche was mad as were all the tacos and quesadillas we got. Cali is a proper legend the food and drink and vibes are top - cannot recommend enough

Cute cozy place I like the tacos, however the meal was very very small I took the birria tacos, in the menu it was written that it comes as a set of 3, but only 2 very very tiny tacos came. It was delicious however, not enough to satisfy anyone, especially not for a pretty hefty price for 2 small tacos.

Unfortunately not a strong restaurant. The staff was a plus: very friendly, pleasant and helpful. We didn't have super high expectations beforehand, but the most striking thing was that the price level makes you think that they are affordable main courses, while in reality they were tapas appetizers or starters. The dim lighting sometimes made it unclear what was actually in the tacos, which were a bit limp, soggy and too salty. After spending 90 euros (2 people), we walked to the KFC across the street because we were still hungry :-(

Magnifico! It was everything we hoped for and more. You will be warmly welcomed by the staff at this attractive spot. The cocktails were sublime. (Do's Margherita, Pisco Sour and Local Negroni are all recommended, the rest will probably be great too.) The food was really really fantastic! (totopos, birria tacos and churros) We ate our fill and actually wanted to order more just for the taste. The friendly hostess recommended that we perhaps come back instead of eating sick food. Well, we certainly will! For everyone who loves Mexican flavors and intense good vibes; go and enjoy.

Although the service and atmosphere was very nice, when we got home from our meal we were being sick. As we’ve both woken up feeling better I can’t imagine it was anything other than the food. We had chicken tacos and lamb tacos and spent around €60 in total. Please check the quality of the ingredients for the safety of other customers.

I LOVE this place, it’s honestly one of my favorites in Amsterdam for a great value meal and great cocktails. The service is always super friendly and contributes to the overall good vibes of the place. Our group had a few different dietary restrictions (one pescatarian, one gluten free, one with an avocado intolerance) and they did everything in their power to accommodate that. Do try the chorizo and shrimp tacos, they are EPIC

Particularly good Mexican. Normally I'm not a fan of taco chips but this version was next level. Also mini pancakes “al pastor” with chicken, excellent! Very extensive drinks menu, cocktails and mezcal for example.

FOOD POISONING from this place. Food is not good. Very poor service, it took 2 hours to get tacos that made people in the party sick. Do not go here. Edit: over a week later, the owner has started harassing me on social media to tell me my experience didn’t happen and to take down / change this review. Sketchy and unprofessional. Life tip for Kali - take ownership of your issues and problems then fix them so other customers don’t get food poisoning instead of denying it. If I could remove more stars for harassment I would.

Good tacos and service but watery cocktails and frozen tuna

Every dish we ordered was bang on. Every single thing was delicious. We had tacos, chilaquiles, tostada, cheesecake, churros, and a few other things and everything was amazing. The wine recommendation was also quite good. All that amazing food is paired with great service. The hosts are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing experience, the food is really delicious, with loooots of fresh veggies, herbs, all is house made. We enjoyed all that we orders : tropical cevice, mushrooms quesadilla, fish tacos, pork tacos, Dulce de leche cheesecake. With my husband and my son we strongly recommend!!! And the service is adorable

I had a lovely night at Local Dealer! Food was great, tasty and with so many interesting combinations of flavors. The atmosphere is great, fun, colorful and - at least on a Tue night - quite relaxed. 11/10 experience. we tried an insane brunch menu - the burgos rancheros were our favourite. beautiful and aesthetic restaurant. the owners are gems, super kind and welcoming. loved the pretty drinks and ended our brunch date with the best sweet treats (you can’t miss out on the cheese cake with dulce de leche and churros!!)

Excellent, vibrant flavours. Try the classic ceviche at your first visit, get hooked, then return to try the other ceviches. The chilaquiles with birria are always a treat too. Great service.
