What a discovery! My table companions and I were unanimous: these are the most delicious pizzas we've ever had. Super fresh, not too heavy, and made with the finest ingredients. The bruschetta, garlic bread, and cheesecake were also delicious. A top-notch spot with a cozy, homey atmosphere, reasonable prices, and a friendly owner and staff. We'll be back!

Closed at 9:45 even though it says it’s open until 10:30 on Google.

Great atmosphere, delicious pizzas, and especially delicious appetizers. The small Caesar salad and garlic bread were absolutely delicious! I would appreciate an extra lamp in the room, or an extra candle at the round table.

A pizzeria with a simple, almost spartan interior. Too many seats and too few staff. We had to wait half an hour for drinks, an hour for antipasto, and two hours for pizza. The antipasto with fried eggplant was an indefinable fried thing. The eggplant flavor was nowhere to be found, and the arugula served with it had no dressing.

Great pizzas and really nice people! Definitely recommended if you want a tasty pizza!

Genuinely one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! I ordered the Napoletana and a tiramisu for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed it. We sat on the terrace in the sunshine. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for our food because there were a few orders ahead of us, but luckily we weren't in a hurry. The prices are also very reasonable, and you get free tap water. I recommend everyone to eat here or get takeout; I definitely want to go back!

It's such a shame that one man can completely ruin the atmosphere by being so rude and completely ignoring his guests. The waitress is completely out of touch with that! The food is also good quality, albeit in very small portions.

Mientras ordenaba y luego esperaba afuera, saqué una silla para que mi esposa embarazada descansara y me dijeron groseramente que no nos permitían tocar las sillas. Luego, después de esperar nuestras pizzas nos dijeron que habían quemado las 4 y podemos esperar 20 minutos para las nuevas o tomar una botella de cerveza como compensación. Personalmente no volvería aquí a menos que quieras encontrar personal grosero y pizzas quemadas.

Whilst ordering and then waiting outside, I got a chair out for my pregnant wife to rest on and was rudely told that we weren't allowed to touch the chairs. Then after waiting for our pizzas we were told that they had burnt all 4 of them and we can either wait 20 minutes for new ones or take one bottle of beer as compensation. I personally wouldn't go here again unless you want to encounter rude staff and burnt pizzas.

Nice authentic place, friendly service, you don't get a standard round pitza here, but what comes out from under the rolling pin, very tasty and above all not greasy pitza. Definitely come back. Kind regards, Joris.

It is probably the best Pizza I have eaten in long time.. ad on that the positive energy, the wonderful atmosphere and the cheerful smiles you get from the staff.. I felt like I’m dining among my family and friends… definitely going back every time I’m in Amsterdam.

It used to be very good but unfortunately nowadays very mediocre :( very small pizzas with raw dough chunks and little toppings... also always very young staff with little adult overview!

Came to sit on the terrace. 15 minutes before first contact. Pizza very expensive and inedible. Sour tomato sauce and terrible cheese taste. Dodge!

It was really great before, Way too thick a base (which made the pizza small and soggy) Sparse with the toppings (especially the mascarpone) They work with nice ingredients, but they can't really make pizzas, especially if you buy 5 pizzas for 60

Been here a few times now because it's around the corner from us. Pizzas are tasty but service is extremely poor. Service very unfriendly and often bad places, for example next to a door that should not be closed or near other people's tables on a crooked sidewalk so you cannot sit normally.

I actually don't like pizza at all but they make it so good and the owners are so good and I also met Maria and it's so cozy

Ate here several times with friends/family/special occasions. A party every time. Delicious pizza! Private dinners were also very nicely done and in a super cozy setting.

Order was really disappointing. Three (really) small pizzas for €50 (each extra topping is €2) that were very sparsely topped and had little taste.

Exceptional Food and service. Limited Menu, but that is exactly right. Great choice of wines. I loved it! 🥰

Although the atmosphere of La Maria is great, I didn't find the pizzas very tasty, a bit tasteless, the pizza with cream and mushrooms mainly contained cream. And one of the pizzas turned out to be missing an essential ingredient, which we were only told later. The artichoke hearts and ham were both not present at the beginning of the evening, and given the number of pizzas on the menu, the choice was very limited. We had to make quite an effort to get the attention of the waiters, several times. The acoustics of the room are very poor, making it difficult to be understood, even if you sit next to each other. But I now have 50+ ears soooo... Well. The potential is there and maybe this was one

Last Saturday we went for some Italian food at La Maria. This was one of the greatest evening we had in a while. First, we came in to have a drink at the bar. The utterly friendly chef with a very funny sparrow tattoo on his arm made us feel very welcome. We had some rosé the chef recommended which was spot on. The food was extremely good; perfectly crafted pizza's which we combined with various starters. We went all out. All the dishes were super fresh and fantastically well prepared. It was very busy and crowded but the staff remained calm and gave the personal touch to every moment of contact. We really felt seen and special although the place was packed. The atmosphere was very cosy almost as if you were to sit at someone's home. We ended the evening with a killer tiramisu. We couldn't have wished for a better ending. Thanks for the amazing evening staff and I can 100% recommend this place.

It's a bit like stepping into a movie. One of those Italian classics where beautiful women make fantastic food and serve simple but lovely tasting wines. I passed by when they were closed, decided to try again later. Later all tables were full, so I made another round with the dog. Another hour later we were back and got a place at the bar. I ordered the white pizza and red wine. And I watched them work. To be honest, I could have sat there for hours, just watching. To quote Mark Knopfler, 'That ain't working'... These two women were just having fun giving us clients a great time. So, when you want a big pizza with lots of cheese, go to Dominos. When you want an honest pizza made with passion and a simple but really good wine - then try to get a seat at La Maria. Highly recommended.

Cozy and small neighbourhood pizza place that was a delightful surprise. Food was authentic and affordable in a nice environment.

Unfortunately it is not worth eating here. They have nothing of anything. No hot sausage, but hot salami. Even the drink we wanted was not there. Standing around smelling the things they are going to put on the pizza. I think the girls will only really enjoy themselves when they taste the food they serve before they give it to customers. I ate/sat there with my family December 28, 2023, and I still thought it was worth writing this review.

Very good restaurant, staff is really really nice!! Especially the girl with the brown hair called Maria. Really delicious pizzas and affordable. The atmosphere is very cozy and nice. Really enjoyed my stay. 10/10 recommend

Cute little restaurant where you can eat a tasty pizza. Choice is not huge but enough options for everyone. Pizzas are freshly baked and are not overly large. Well invested.

De pizza was zeer matig. Een van de pizza's was nog niet gaar en ze ze waren niet lekker. De bediening was vrij ongeïnteresseerd. De sfeer is wel goed in het restaurant maar ik zou hier zeker niet meer terugkomen.

Einfache Karte mit sehr guten steinofen Pizzen sehr leckerer Nachtisch sehr gute Bedienung.

Friendly staff Tasty dishes and Wines

Stijgt boven de verwachting van pizza uit. Zacht als een wolkje; de bodem is het lekkerste deel van de pizza, en dat met de lekkerste salami van de wereld... 🤷 Daarnaast een onwijs knusse ambiance waardoor ik zeker weten de volgende ter plaatse opeet.

Hier gegeten met collega's. Heerlijke ambiance, fijne bediening en goed bereide gerechten.

Geweldige pizza en een lekker bruisende sfeer!

Goede sfeer, lokaal, ongedwongen, lekkere pizza's met goede ingrediënten. Relaxen en bijpraten met een lekker glas wijn er bij.

Niet echt lekkere bodem en veel te zout. Wel verse producten, maar het eindproduct smaakt niet (dit was afhalen). Restaurant ziet er van binnen wel heel erg gezellig uit

We were around the area and thought about eating something local. We were excited about this pizza place but it ended into a bad experience. The place is a bit small, the chairs and tables are not that comfortable you can barely move your arms, legs and have to be careful with your food and the tables around you. We ordered antipasto and one pizza, one was fine, but the pizza was served with a HAIR inside of it. We reported immediately and it was replaced. We ordered two cups of wine. We paid the bill, noticed that it was a bit expensive. When we got home we checked the receipt and we noticed that they charged us the whole bottle of wine. We had to go back to the place to request a refund. The people who work there didn’t seemed to care about their customers, and for us was a bad experience that we won’t recommend anyone to have.

We really enjoyed our trip to La Maria. The aperitifs were affordable and the pizza was so so good. The whole atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxed and cozy, making you feel right at home. The staff was very friendly and even managed to fit us in on a Friday night. I definitely recommend this place if you want a calm and laid back dinner!! We did notice that the prices on the website did not match those of the menu in the restaurant.

Gezellig kleinschalig restaurant. Beperkte kaart gezien minimale bezetting maar lekker. Wijnkaart mag iets uitgebreider zijn.

Gezellig. Goede service. Ik houd van kleine menus Pizza met artisjokkenhart proefde alleen het deeg .. helaas de pizza vond ik zelf niet lekker.. die met ansjovis had meer smaak maar dit kwam door de vis zelf en niet door het deeg? Witte wijn vond ik zelf niet zo geweldig maar dit is voor ieder anders. Limonade kwam helaas zonders ijs... jassen van andere zat mijn vriend in bedolven niet geweldig om in de garderobe een tafel neer te plaatsen... voor alsnog een gezellig plekje.

Wij hebben in december met een groep een prive diner gehad bij Rohan en het was werkelijk fantastisch. De communicatie vooraf was erg fijn en de voorpret kon hierdoor al beginnen. Het is erg persoonlijk en er is dan ook veel mogelijk. De avond zelf was erg gezellig en het eten heerlijk. Onze hele groep was erg enthousiast, ik kan het dan ook zeker aanraden. Rohan en Teuntje, bedankt!

Ik was er met een amsterdammer die er al lang eens wilde gaan eten. De kaart is eenvoudig en wat er op staat van zeer (!!!) goede kwaliteit. Alles op de pizza's was lekker en vers. De salami om de vingers bij af te likken. BRAVO! De wijn, daar was ik niet van ondersteboven. Ook daarvoor een eenvoudige kaart, van "elke kleur" één. Het waren "natuurwijnen", koud geschonken (vanwege de houdbaarheid?) De rode die mij werd voorgezet viel mij tegen. Ik vond het te veel vruchtensap. En dan is het jammer dat er enkel natuurwijn wordt geschonken. Ik heb het bij een glas gelaten en verder "plat" water gedronken. Dat was weer wel zoals het hoort: uit de kraan en gratis.

Super fijn restaurant! Heerlijk gegeten en werd er goed geholpen. Je kan de passie van de pizzaiolo zien en dit is ook te proeven in de liefde die hij in de gerechten stopt. Hij heeft verstand van koken en zijn knappe Italiaanse uitstraling maakt het af. De bediening is gezellig en meedenkend. Ze zorgen voor een prettige sfeer, lekkere wijn en een top avond! :)

Heel fijn personeel. Vers, goed en met liefde bereid eten. Weinig keuze, personeel, of plek en je moet wel geduld hebben, maar je krijg er veel goeds voor terug.

Das Essen war lecker, die location sehr schön und ruhig, das Personal ist sehr nett. Als Bayer muss ich nur bemängeln dass es nur 0,33er Bier gab, dafür ziehe ich aber keinen Stern ab, denn der Rest hat ideal gepasst.

De porties waren erg klein en de polenta smakeloos. Het geserveerde brood bestaat uit een kleine harde homp, die niet te verdelen is. De aangeprezen crumble bestond uit wat fruit met siroop erover met wat geroosterde amandelen. Hadden na thuiskomst nog erge trek, wat vreemd is als je veertig euro per persoon hebt betaald. Begrijp dan ook niet waar de goede recensies op gebaseerd zijn, al hangt er een gezellige sfeer.

Esta es una verdadera joya fuera de lo común, un cliché que no puede adaptarse a un lugar más que Horne la Maria. Un lugar pequeño con dos menús (uno vegetariano y uno no vegetariano) con una especialidad de postres. Todo preparado en un horno en la esquina. La dueña cocina y sirve en una sola persona, a veces ella tiene ayuda. Así que deberías calcular algún tiempo extra que pases aquí. Pero si está preparado para esto y puede permitírselo, puede pasar una agradable velada aquí. El lugar no está abierto todos los días y cuando es solo por las noches, se recomienda reservar. Amo este lugar. :)
