The place is dirty, the toilets are simply shocking! The service is not bad, the waiters are polite and smiling. The food is expensive but of a very low standard, the pasta was edible but not tasty, the steak was very bad. The place is very central and therefore noisy and together with the not tasty food, not worth it!

Almost everything about this restaurant is so disgusting. We went to wash our hands 1st before placing orders but the toilets were filthy and blocked. Food was disgusting no taste, the pizza dough smelt something. Customer service was zero the gentleman who served us was somewhat rude. He kept complaining about my 2year boy as you kids but he has no that sense of humour. We felt like they kicked us out as the man couldn't wait for us to vacate his restaurant after spending nearly 170euros. At one moment my 2 year old kid dropped his peace of chicken on the floor and the waiter picked it up and put it back in his plate. How dare you do that? We paid for the chicken, where was his pain coming from. This waiter was so disrespectful 😤 infact I lost it but I kept quiet.

Marco Polo has been my hidden gem in Amsterdam for a few years now. You’ll find this small pizza and steakhouse a bit tucked away on the Damrak. Years ago, I came here for the first time because of the gluten-free pizzas, and by now it has become a regular haunt whenever I’m in Amsterdam. It is a cozy little restaurant with seating both inside and outside. The pizzas and pasta can be prepared gluten-free here, and they are actually always delicious. In all the times I’ve been here so far, I have never had a bad experience. The staff is super friendly and really willing to go the extra mile. Highly recommended if you’re in the mood for a good gluten-free pizza or pasta in Amsterdam.

The people are very lovely and inviting. The pizza was so good that it felt like I had danced and partied for a good 5 hours and that pizza was the gateway to heaven itself. The pizza hit the perfect spot, it was fluffy yet cheezy, the ingredients taste fresh

Went hear for lazania and chips and bottle of water and got charged for stake and bill was twice as much tryed calling but number not working so got ripped of beware

We have never eaten such delicious food. We ate absolutely everything we ordered (which was: pasta with shrimp, pasta with chicken and mushrooms, barbecue ribs, tiramisu cake, banana ice cream, cocktails) to the last drop. Very nice and friendly staff, quick to respond. We will definitely come back here when we come to Amsterdam again!!! Thank you very much ♥️🫂

We had dinner there. It wasn't a good experience, and the women's restroom was a disaster—lacking in hygiene. The promotional menu displayed on the sidewalk didn't match the one they gave us at the table. I do NOT recommend it.

I tried several restaurants on my trip to Amsterdam and was quite disappointed. So it was all the more surprising to find a simple plate of pasta with tomato sauce so delicious. The ambiance is fantastic, right on the water and overlooking the Amsterdam skyline. Worth a visit if you're looking for affordable, good-quality food.

Awful restaurant, awful experience. I was searching for an Italian restaurant in Amsterdam and Google suggested Marco Polo. The atmosphere was awful, music was very loud. The waiter brought us a bottle of water without any glasses. We got a pizza Margherita which was super soggy and awful, the cheese smelled bad. We bought two orange juices, one pizza Margherita ( 8 pieces ), mozzarella balls ( awful 😞🤮 ) and a carbonara and paid a whopping 120€ ( 3 people)..........

Had a nice meal with the kids after a day in Amsterdam. Nice and simple food. Don't go if you expect specialties.

We visited Marco Polo Pizzeria-Steakhouse and were absolutely delighted. The Margherita pizza was outstanding – crispy crust, fresh ingredients. The lasagna was moist, perfectly seasoned, and delicious. The steak was also cooked to perfection, tender, and of excellent quality. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The prices are perfectly reasonable for the location right in the heart of Amsterdam, and the value for money is excellent. Highly recommended – we'll definitely be back!

Service is one of the best I have discovered in Amsterdam, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and the caramel over ice coffee was thr best ice coffee I have ever experienced!

Our experience here was great. This restaurant serves delicious and good quality italian food. We were warmly welcomed by our lovely waiter and he even put the air conditioning on near us to help us cool down during a hot day. The staff was very attentive and friendly. In addition, the view of the canal was lovely to look at while eating. Would warmly recommend!

Came here with the family. Our family have been here before. It was fantastic! I have the garlic bread and salad. Family had pizza and burgers. All very good. Staff were amazing. My nephew has same name as owner who came to greet us. Definitely eat here

My friend and I sat here mid morning before leaving for the airport on our final day in Amsterdam. Alex and his team are very hospitable, coffee was delicious and the view was even better!

I ordered pasta; it was lukewarm and I vomited 30 minutes later. My stomach hurts and I spent the morning in the bathroom. I strongly advise against eating at this tourist trap. A plate of pasta, an orange juice, and a coffee cost 35 euros, an exorbitant price.
