We enjoyed the dishes here. The service was really good as well. The dishes had lots of great flavors and tasted homemade. They had a wide selection of Italian wines by the glass. We had a really good Gewürztraminer from northern Italian (Trentino-Alto Adige region). I highly recommend this Sicilian gem.

Le Due Sicilie is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Amsterdam. The pasta was outstanding — perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavor. The wine selection was very good and complemented the meal beautifully. What really stood out was the service: warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive. You feel genuinely welcomed from the moment you walk in. And the desserts? Simply divine — truly the perfect ending to a perfect meal. Highly recommended. This is a cozy little restaurant with a warm and welcoming vibe. We ordered the shrimp pasta and the lamb chops — both were absolutely incredible. The pasta was perfectly al dente with amazing texture, and the lamb chops were seared to perfection. Highly, highly recommended — truly a gem of a place!

A lovely restaurant where you can enjoy truly delicious Sicilian food in Amsterdam East, and the wine is also wonderful! The English-Italian service is exceptionally friendly. Parking is a nightmare in this neighborhood; public transport is better. We'd love to come back.

We were on our way to Ziggo Dome for a concert, but were too early and hadn't eaten yet. We ended up at the small Italian restaurant Le Due Sicily via Google. We indicated that we only had 45 minutes and the super friendly staff said with a smile that it would be arranged. And we were very surprised. Despite the fact that it was busy, a Ziti Spezzati and a Tagliatelle Gamberi were on the table within fifteen minutes. The first is a delicious pasta with a ragout of buttery tender beef, and the fresh tagliatelle was with delicious prawns and a super tasty pistachio sauce. Great combinations of flavours. This restaurant is a gem that many Amsterdammers don't know about. We saw the most beautiful dishes passing by. And the prices are very modest. Too bad we didn't have more time, but we will definitely go back soon!

Pasta with ragu and wine were great, side salad could be improved. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive. Overall, very nice restaurant, worth a visit.

The food arrived quickly. But my pasta with vongole (clams) and other ingredients didn't have any clams at all. When I asked, they told me they didn't serve clams. They should have told me that when I ordered. The shrimp wasn't cooked through. My daughter's steak was delicious.

It was a taste experience and very nice service. Tasty wines. The only improvement may be the acoustics. When people talk loudly it really gets through Something can be done about that.

The pasta looks good and the price is quite reasonable. However, the pasta just tastes ok , not spacial, and a bit too greasy.

Spectacular Italian (Sicilian) restaurant, cosy, innovative food, tasty and served with aplomb. Can honestly say it is the best Italian food I have eaten for many years. The owner gave us incredible advice about the food and wines. Not expensive, either!

Lovely neighbourhood spot, the place was packed on a Thursday. The red wines we had were amazing. I would have liked some more vegetarian pasta options (instead only gnocchi was available), but the kitchen made me something special 😊 We’ll be back!

This place, located in Amsterdam Oost, boosts a few but very tasty Italian dishes that feel homemade. Service is swift and welcoming. The only improvement could be interior. At the moment you don’t wish to spend few hours there enjoying a nice wine bottle ; it feels more like a quick bite place , though food has high standard. Shrimp tagliatelle were very very tasty with interesting combination with pistachio, as well as swordfish appetizer. Cannoli filling was not my favorite. Overall , a great place to- interior improvements would really make this place stand out !

A pearl among all the “popular” Amsterdam catering industry. Authentic Italian dishes, made by Italians. You really feel welcome in this Sicilian living room. Definitely recommended.

So much deliciousness. The service here is outstanding. We shared the swordfish appetizer, which was phenomenal, then had a pasta each. My husband had gnocchi which were light delightful fluffy little clouds of wonder. I had a very interesting and yummy nut pesto on my pasta. I thought there was no way I could finish the huge portion of delicious pasta, but it was no problem ;) The salad was also excellent, and the wine was great. Lots by the glass. We will definitely be back. Note that in addition to the menu, there are quite a few delicious sounding daily specials.

Like feeling at home. All courses met our expectations. The vegetarian Naples starter was very good, very plentiful and of good quality. SUPER! aubergine parmigiana.

Food was extra delicious, carefully cooked, well presented and big portions (please don't change that) Service friendly but not overwhelming, attention to detail and very good knowledge of their products (food and wine) Lastly the wine list is to die for. With over 20 wines by the glass you will definitely find some treasures amongst their list. Good prices also. We are very happy that this cozy and wel managed restaurant is at our neighbourhood. Authentic Italian restaurant: Italian dishes (not adapted to local tastes), Italian ingredients and Italian staff. I ordered Sorrento gnocchi and a caprese cake accompanied by a glass of Montepulciano and it was all very good. The plates at the nearby tables also looked good. Very nice, well-kept and welcoming location. Courteous staff. Very pleasant atmosphere. Advised!

Mi hija y yo teníamos principalmente platos de mariscos: pulpo, camarones, mejillones y tinta. Los platos principales estaban empapados en grasa y los mariscos parecían y sabían muy industriales. Los dos estamos enfermos. . . ¡Vomitar!

I went there yesterday evening with my Italian date and I really loved it. Specially the waiters are friendly and nice people. The taste of the food is the best that I’ve ever tasted! I would definitely come again and will recommend to my friends too.

Terminamos con el bistec de pez espada perfectamente cocido, costilla de ternera - bistec de ojo y rejilla de cordero y coronamos el día con el decadente Cannolo Siciliano. Excelentes ingredientes cocinados en deliciosos platos aptos para un rey. ¡Volveremos seguro!

Honestly, don't really get such a high rating here. The interior is very old and mediocre. The service was horrible, as the staff didn't understand English. We had to ask several time for the main dish, while they were not understanding, why we want the main dish, if we still have the starter. So it took as ages to get our dishes. We ordered the fish (which was not that fresh and not that well prepared). The niokki were fine. No white wines in the menu.

Repeat visitor & never disappointed, consistently great authentic food at good value and will definitely continue to visit again. Only gripe was the missing of the excellent, friendly gentleman host from our last visit.

The taste was good and volume was super big. Unfortunately spaghetti was cooked too soft while I prefer al dente. There were only 2 staffs for 30+ customers & making drinks so one of them appeared to be inpatient.

Swordfish was uninspired, a piece of fish with half a bag of mixed salad from the supermarket, a whopping €26. One of them undercooked. Parmigiano is very tasty. Gnocci themselves tasty but floating in the oil. I don't have to go back anymore

Etwas abseits gelegen, aber am Königstag war uns das gerade recht. Wir hatten zunächst die Napolitana (Auberginen, Zucchini, überbackener Pilz und Tomaten auf zwiebackartigen Brot) sehr gut Tagliatelle mit Genovese zum Teilen, lecker Als Hauptgänge die Fischsuppe und ein Steak, auch alles gut Als Abschluß Torta Caprese (phantastischer Schokoladen Mandel Kuchen) Reservierung macht Sinn, war voll

Service was incredible! Super friendly staff. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan!!! We ordered the steak and the fish (they were good but I would recommend ordering the pasta dishes instead). For dessert we got the chocolate cake and the ice cream dome and they were both amazing! Portions were generous

I found this restaurant in a blog. The author was very impressed, and he was right. Bocconcini de Pesce Spada e Pane Caracau was a good choice for a starter. Plenty of fish pieces in a very nice tomatoed sauce. The primi piatti, Tagliatelle Gamberi e pistacchio was even better. I could have been back in Agrigento, in the Ambasciata di Sicilia, it brought back memories. Topped with a glass of Nero d'Avola... A very good experience!

Small restaurant but great cuisine. I came to visit Amsterdam and it was to Italy that I traveled thanks to these gnocchi accompanied by a pistachio pesto. Calm atmosphere and very welcoming staff.

Tasty real Italian cuisine. Neapolitan vegetables and polpo starter, very tasty. Followed by fresh pasta dishes in large portions. Quality, fresh and well priced. Tables a little too close together, which made it noisy at times.

The restaurant looks inconspicuous from the outside but it is a cute little place. The waiters, who are also the owners, were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! Only recommended!

We went because of the reviews. Don't know who wrote this review, but it was worth 3.7. As half Italian, I often visit Italy and often eat in Italian restaurants. Maybe the average NL has a less developed taste, but this was really not good. This is why I will be writing reviews from now on. The decor is not cozy, it could be cleaner and it was super cold by the window. In terms of food, unfortunately disappointing and certainly not worth the reviews.

Run by Italians, this place is authentic. No frills, no fancy cutlery, table wear and decor. This place is all about the amazing food. The quality is unmatched. The service is excellent.
