This is honestly an exceptional place! Here you will get some authentic Italian pasta and a fine selection of exquisite desserts and pastry. In the diverse and mixed landscape of Amsterdam dining it was a relief to have found Quattro Gatti.

Perfect! The service was very personal, we watched the chef make the pasta noodles from scratch, the bruschetta was amazing and the pasta was delicious. Everything was ideal. THANKS!

Everything is homemade, the prices are great, the staff is super friendly, and the chef is fantastic. The pasta aglio e olio was fresh and delicious. A gem for the city!

Centrally located and very accessible. Excellent artisanal and authentic cuisine for both pasta and pastries! Excellent, friendly, and efficient service! Since 2006, the maestro has been creating wonders with quality products, cooked with taste (which is not the case in nearby restaurants), and the quantities will satisfy even the hungriest. The pasta is made fresh before our eyes; that's why, when the restaurant is full of guests, you have to wait. Gluten-free dishes are available upon request. Vegetarian dishes are indicated. No reservations except for special or private dinners or certain Sundays (the website provides up-to-date information, as does the sign outside the restaurant). On weekdays, even if you see the room full, don't hesitate to push in the door; the service will advise you. Milos's cuisine is so popular that sometimes the service tells you that the restaurant is no longer serving, as the sauces and ingredients prepared that same day have sold out. The Italian wine and spirits list is tastefully composed! We enjoyed a Barbera d'Asti 2021 DOCG… extraordinary. Divine coffees. We loved the restaurant's intimate dining room, decorated with works by the maestro and his artist friends. Italians from Amsterdam and those visiting appreciate this authentic spot. Be sure to eat here after walking, shopping and for everyone who is tired of sandwiches and fast food! This is a gorgeous place where they cooked with soul, as if you came to your home! The food was very good, the pasta was truly outstanding, and well worth the money. However, you should be aware that it's not a cheap experience overall. But we found the quality to be excellent. Allow some time, but the wait in the pleasant atmosphere is worth it.

Yes, okay, it wasn't mom who cooked, but dad. The menu only features my favorite dishes. The food is wonderful, the espresso is sensational; there's no reason, except for the calories, not to eat here. The price is also completely reasonable. Our waitress was the best.

I recently had the pleasure to have lunch at Quattro Gatti on their outdoor "terrace", and it was a wonderful experience. The pasta is made à la minute and the flavors are absolutely delicious, fresh, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The service was very friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We truly had a great time and will definitely be coming back!

A must-visit restaurant for any pasta lover. Italians will rediscover the taste of their mama or nonna's cooking. The pasta is shaped by the owner right in front of you. The sauces are lovingly prepared. All that's missing is a basket of Italian bread for the meal to be perfect.

The perfect spot for Italian cuisine in the heart of Amsterdam. The Tagliatelle al Ragú Bolognese is, hands down, the best Italian dish I have ever tasted and it remains unmatched. The egg pasta is made in-house, it is light, fresh and will leave you wanting more.

Quattro Gatti offers a unique and charming atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly. I only tried the pistachio dessert, which looked amazing but sadly didn’t live up to expectations — the cream lacked a strong pistachio flavor, and the pastry was a bit rubbery, as if it hadn’t been freshly made. While the setting is great, the dessert left me a bit disappointed.

Amazing food, all fresh produce!

They were kind until they saw that we were with a child and a baby. After that, they kicked us out and lied, saying that all their tables were reserved.

Truffle pappardelle are nice - little too thick for my tasting but amazing overall, they have very cool vibe of Old Italia with special menu hanging on the clothes rack :) Looks very cozy and look like home, just one thing I would change is smell of tables - they look great with interior but some smell of old something is little distracting. I did not find menu ent where in website or here so you can check my photos 😁 PS: Chocolate cake is amazing 😍😍😍

Best pasta I’ve had in the Netherlands for sure and may be as a whole even. A real authentic Italian kitchen experience. We were in the back of the very narrow and small restaurant and could see our pasta being made from the base ingredients, rolled, cut to shape, boiled and prepared into the most delicious set of flavours and texture I’ve tasted in a long time! The menu card warns the ingredients are picked with care and that asking to omit one is nearly a crime within the premises. We had no issue with the ingredients though. More picky eaters may want to find another place to accommodate their preferences. The desserts are also great, cannoli and variations on that, cakes, and some other options. Not too many, but the ones you can choose from all seem appealing and rich in taste. The atmosphere is like you’re transported to a narrow Italian street, with the sounds and Italian chatter from the kitchen, funny specials list in the shape of a laundry drying line and various art pieces, some of them for sale. It’s a bit hard to move around and not to bump into something and the toilet is in the even smaller cellar with low ceiling and treacherously steep staircase. To me it’s not a place I’d like to sit for a long time. It gets a bit claustrophobic for after a while, but definitely great to have an amazing dinner or lunch stop along the way exploring Amsterdam and catch a quick break from the canals typical Dutch facade houses.

Very rich and hearty Italian restaurant in the 9 straatjes and the service is one of the best in the city. Friendly, attentive, fast and with a big smile! We got a table outside on a sunny autumn day and it was one of the best meals we've had. You can taste that the pasta is freshly made, the egg and the texture just make the dish instantly incredible. We had the carbonara and quattro formaggi. The desserts are also freshly homemade and the chocolate cake was a dream!! It's now our go-to spot for Italian.

I had the pasta of the day - Spaghetti black and white with shrimps in pink sauce and my husband had the special of the day - Croquette Pikante with cheese and prosciutto. They were both AMAZING. Possibly our best meals in Amsterdam. Chef was very friendly (you could see him making fresh pasta) and the server too. Limited seating though but really a cosy place.

An authentic hand-pulled pasta restaurant in a buzzing shopping street of the 9 Streets in Amsterdam. I stumbled upon this place whilst looking for a lunchroom on a Saturday with a friend and was a bit worried for the waiting time (as they don't take reservations), but the hostess was very kind and accommodating. She asked us to wait for approx. 20 minutes but luckily our table was ready earlier. We ordered the pizzetta with spicy salami, truffle carbonara (special of the day), and puttanesca. The pizzetta was fluffy and delicious (honestly better than expected) and the pastas had generous portions! Our eyes were hungrier than our stomachs so we ended up taking some home, but regardless very delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly (al dente) and blended perfectly with each sauce. I would definitely come back and try other pasta dishes!
