Restaurant with incredibly fast service and very reasonable prices. They offer a set menu with a first course of soup, a second course of meat or fish, and dessert, for approximately 23 euros. We ordered beef, and it was delicious. They also serve a side of potatoes, vegetables, and salad to share. For dessert, we had ice cream with whipped cream. They provide a complimentary pitcher of water. The best thing is how quickly they serve the different dishes. Highly recommended. One minor drawback, not attributable to the establishment itself, is the noise from other diners talking loudly if you happen to be dining with a group.

The Cow (or De Koe) is a terrible place. Don't expect friendliness or pleasantries; their priority here is getting you out of there quickly. The food is like the mess hall you get in the army. I imagine they don't care about anything since they know we're tourists and won't be back.

I chose the fish menu. It starts with a vegetable soup. Although it wasn't exactly like traditional Turkish soups, it tasted quite good. The main course was a fish similar to haddock, and it was truly delicious. I would definitely recommend it to seafood lovers. It's served with baby potatoes, baby carrots, and salad. Ice cream is also included as dessert. Overall, the menu was quite filling. The price is 22 euros, and I think it offers good value for money.

On May 7th, our group of about 34 people chose this restaurant as our dinner stop, based on our guide's recommendation and after making a reservation in advance. After entering and taking our seats, orders were quickly taken and service began without much delay. The owner informed us that the fish menu was delicious, but chicken and meat options were also available for those who preferred fish. Our chosen fish menu consisted of a vegetable soup with vermicelli, followed by a beautifully fried large piece of hake, served with fried baby potatoes, boiled baby carrots and peas, salad, and bread. The vegetable soup was delicious, and the fish served afterwards was well-cooked, the portion was generous, and I enjoyed the taste. The fried baby potatoes seemed a little oily, but it didn't bother me; perhaps some people might want to consider this. After the meal, only one ice cream option was included in the menu; perhaps offering more options would be better.

Simple food, a very funny waitress (albeit overly attentive), and fast service... too fast. And the worst part was, when it came time to pay, she said her internet wasn't working... a lie, it was working fine for us, and she took our payment in cash without using her account. She added it all up by hand in a little notebook. Basically, they're not planning on declaring it.

The waitress told us there was a set menu, but she didn't give us the prices or what it included, so we ordered à la carte. The meat and fish dishes were the same price as the set menu with soup and ice cream included. But the worst part was the payment: I paid with my phone, saw the "accepted" tick on the screen, and then the waitress told me there was no internet. I tried again, and it gave me an error. We paid in cash. Later, outside, we realized what had happened: she wrote the bill in pen, and I'm sure she declined the transaction so she could charge us in cash. An older Dutch woman, very cheerful and easygoing, but incredibly shameless. A disgrace to the Dutch people.

Lunch this time at De Koe restaurant, Volendam area. The place is quite cosy, clean and warm. We got some meals for the appetiser we had soup (like pop mie kuah 😁) and bread, for the main course we had fish fillet, sliced potatoes and some salad and for dessert we had ice cream. Delicious. Tasty traditional Dutch food. It's not a cuisine that's widely known internationally, but it does have some very tasty dishes. It's located in a beautiful fishing village, which makes the meal even more enjoyable. The restaurant is spacious and very pleasant.

It was the worst service I've ever seen. The woman took our order in a very loud, even shouting voice. The food arrived cold. When she was clearing the plates, it was as if she was going to throw them at our heads. After taking payment, we were forced to listen to them singing. They were only interested in making money, getting us to eat quickly and leave.

We didn't like the service at all, they didn't give us time at the time of decision-making, the food was not good, they always sing while ordering and collecting the food, they always fight among themselves, the price is very expensive.

At lunch, the lunch menu offers little choice of "complete" meals. There are plenty of snacks to choose from, but some dishes from the display window are unavailable. I reordered a side dish, but the staff ignored it. The noise level was very high at times, making it difficult to have a conversation. The steak had little flavor and was barely noticeable next to the side dishes.

The value for money may be a little high, even though it was very generous! But as tourists, we were very well received despite our poor English! The waitress was very kind to the little one, and very kindly heated up the baby food for us.

One of the well-known restaurants in Amsterdam's Fisherman's Village. The food was very good, especially the steak and fish fillet. The salmon was average. The service was quick and friendly. I recommend it when visiting the village.

I can say that they were the worst things I have ever eaten in my life, I couldn't even finish any of them, they were really bad, I tasted them and left them, but you could tell from the picture that they tasted them anyway, the waiter started bringing whatever he wanted without asking, when I objected he said you can't change it now, when I pressed he said okay okay and continued with a very bad attitude, also the staff are very rude and threatening, I don't even count them standing over me asking for money while I was waiting for my wife to go to the toilet after the meal, they had a very repulsive attitude even though I said I was waiting for my wife in the toilet, it was the guide's suggestion, don't listen to them, there was no one else inside except the tour guests and everyone had the same opinion as me, also the menu that was said to be 20 euros turned out to be 22 euros by the end of the meal, we paid the money and ran away from this awful place

We had a bad experience with one of the servers. My mom can't climb stairs. There were two tables at the back that weren't cleaned, and we wanted to sit there. The server told us there was no room and didn't want to clean the table, instead wanting us to go upstairs. Other servers offered to clean the table and told us we could come in, but the server kicked us out. We were finally able to go in. Mariana and the other servers served us very well. The food was delicious and the prices were affordable.

This restaurant is blatantly racist. My group had a confirmed reservation for 12 people, but when we arrived, they only gave us a table for 8 — outside, in the heat of summer. Meanwhile, other Western guests were allowed to dine inside without any reservations. When we questioned this, the captain, Peter, arrogantly stated that he decides who gets to enter his restaurant. It was clear his decisions were based on race, not fairness. Discrimination like this has no place in hospitality — or anywhere. I hope this kind of behavior brings nothing but failure to his business.

La camarera, atenta pero muy desagradable a la hora de dirigirse, se negó a darnos la carta y nos la leyó “por encima” y siempre justificándose, y nos dio un precio de 18 euros (cabe destacar que en Google ponía 17) para un menú del día que consistía en una sopa “““casera””” (sabía a fideos enlatados de supermercado), una pechuga de pollo rebozada que parecía precongelada y un helado de fresa de postre (lo único que valió la pena, y era de lata). Cuando vamos a pagar, nos encontramos con la paupérrima sorpresa de que habían inflado el precio hasta los 22 euros sin explicación alguna y se justificaron dejándonos en ridículo delante de todo el restaurante. Se ve que no es la única ni primera vez que lo hacen, suelen hacerlo a grupos de turistas jóvenes. Además, a la salida, nos han escondido las cartas delante nuestro para que no pudiésemos reclamar. Desde luego que, si hay más opciones, por mas “hostiles” que parezcan, sugiero mil veces pasar de largo y entrar en cualquier otro lugar. No gastaría ni un segundo de mi tiempo ni dinero en volver a pensar en entrar, ni mucho menos en consumir su comida. Horrible.

I ordered a fried fish meal for lunch. The fish was fresh, crispy and not greasy. It was served with French fries and tartar sauce. It tasted good and was a dish that showed your heart. The portion size is just right for lunch, not too filling or empty. The service staff have a good attitude, are quick and friendly, and make people feel that they value their customers. The overall dining process is smooth, but the environment is a bit pity - the distance between the seats is a bit tight, and it will feel a bit oppressive when there are many people, and you need to speak softly so as not to disturb the neighboring tables. If the seating arrangement could be more relaxed, the experience would be more comfortable. Overall, the food and service performed well. It is a restaurant you can consider visiting again, especially if you want to simply eat hot food without stepping on the wrong side.

Honestly, it tastes like fish and chips in Solaria, but the fish is really fresh, especially when you add a squeeze of juicy lemon, then add vegetables and small, fresh carrots.

We paid 20€ per person for vegetable soup, fish, potatoes, salad, boiled vegetables and ice cream. Frankly, the fish wasn't very tasty since it wasn't sea fish, but I still can't say it was bad. I can say that it tastes like our trout in terms of taste. The menu was quite satisfying. Overall we enjoyed it.
