Ordered a salad with artichokes at lunchtime. I have never eaten such a boring salad; it didn't even come with a piece of cheese, a seed, a slice of bread, or a dollop of mayo. I felt just like a rabbit.

At this restaurant, they have no idea how to make a good, tasty lunch. The salad comes from a supermarket package, personal attention is lacking, and when you point out that something is of poor quality, the answer you get is that it is a matter of taste. How is it possible that the hospitality industry in the Netherlands is not bound by a certain standard? And who is the paying customer here? Exactly! Not recommended. Just move two tables over and go sit with the (Rum Club) neighbors. Thank me later.

Poor quality food. Salad from the supermarket. Chicken dry and tasteless. Sent the salad back; there was absolutely no service from the staff. Left the restaurant without eating.

Nice spot by the canal. They are packed quite close together, though. Food is fine but nothing special. Service is slow.

We received excellent service immediately upon arrival. We were given the opportunity to sit by the water. Our order was served in a very short time. In short, superb!

We were asked to move to a different table without any explanation after sitting there just 5 minutes ago. The waiter even said, "I can move you to any table I want here, I can even send you away." The staff are very rude and impolite, ruining this place which has great location beside canal.

I've never seen such rude, ill-mannered waiters who don't know how to speak to customers. The location is nice, the food on the menu is more expensive than usual, but the unpleasant attitude of the staff ruins the place.

What a good, nice, beautiful restaurant. Great service. Phone almost dead? No problem. They are happy to charge it. Great location. We will definitely come back.

Excessively expensive for very little substance. There were four of us, and we ordered tapas, and everything arrived in just two or three small pieces for €10. The servers were really enthusiastic, but it's far too expensive for what you get. The price reflects the location.

Nice place with very hospitable staff. The food, on the other hand, was quite disappointing. We were served two slices of bread stacked on top of each other. (Which I simply had lying around at home.) For 16 euros, I find that truly criminal. You don't go out for lunch for that price. Shame!! But if the kitchen were to make some adjustments, as far as I'm concerned, it really has the potential to become a gem in Utrecht.

The staff were physically fighting amongst themselves. Really heavy fighting. The bill was €35.00 too high. Unfortunately, we only found out about that later. Not recommended.

1 star is still too much. It takes a while for them to come to your table; I order 2 drinks. Other people sit down at the tables and get their drinks first. He says he remembers your order and then goes to help other tables, but my drinks don't arrive.

A relaxed bar atmosphere with a restaurant. We sat right by the water. The tapas didn't appeal to us (price-performance ratio). We had steaks and fries. The wine was delicious. The service was super friendly, funny, and accommodating. Music was playing in the background; you could also hear it from the rum bar next door.

A day out with my girlfriend in Utrecht and ended it off perfectly with delicious tapas at Lust 109. Super friendly service and amazing food. The prawns, in particular, are fantastic. Simply enjoyed ourselves at a great spot.

We were a large group (10 people). On a busy, sunny day in May, room was made for us immediately! That is quite a feat in Utrecht with so many people. The food tasted good and the service was excellent.

Friendly staff, but we had to ask several times to order and pay. The hamburger we ordered was not tasty. For this price, I honestly expect a bit more than a greasy frozen hamburger. It is a shame, because it is a cozy terrace in a beautiful location along the canal.

We had a lovely time sitting in the sun and having lunch on the terrace by the canal at LUST 109. Sitting in the sun at this location is truly special and immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere, especially with the boats sailing past. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food itself was a bit disappointing. The lunch was fine, but nothing more than that. My farmer's omelet tasted quite salty and wasn't particularly special otherwise. Furthermore, it was served with only a very small slice of bread, which was even somewhat hidden under the omelet. I wouldn't immediately recommend this for an elaborate or culinary lunch, but for a drink or aperitif on the terrace, it is absolutely a beautiful spot.

Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Poor and rude service, the food was partly tasteless, and they forgot the table next to us.

Got seated pretty quickly and at our reservation time. The atmosphere is good, fun interior and very cool to eat so close to the canal. Sadly was the positive part of our night. We had to wait 40 min until we finally got our first drink, after asking multiple times. Ordering food was a whole process as well. We had to keep getting the attention of a waiter for someone to come by and take our order. When we finally got to order it took 1 hour to get our food. In total we were there 1 hour and 45 min until we finally got our food. We didn't get 2 items that we ordered. I conclusion I sadly have to say I won't be coming back. The atmosphere is good and the food was good as well. The service was just too bad for me to go back or to recommended it.

We received a very warm welcome, but unfortunately, our chosen Rioja wine was out... we were immediately offered a nice alternative for the same price. The manager/owner (I think) was very hospitable and constantly working to please all guests! Attention to detail! 🙏🏻 Definitely recommended!

What a lovely, almost hidden spot in the heart of Utrecht! Friendly and welcoming service and delicious food, ranging from sandwiches with delicious fillings to tapas of your choice. Well worth a stop for a tasty lunch during a day of shopping in Utrecht city center.

The reviews for this restaurant don't do it justice. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the food is good, and the service is okay. We were there with a social deal. The highlight was dessert, but everything else was good too! We had a great Tuesday evening. One tip: turn the music down a bit.

A lovely setting by the water. Enjoyed delicious wines and baguettes with dips. Inside, it looked quite atmospheric.

We ate here with the two-course lunch dinner social deal. Lentil and tomato soup were the starters, both delicious! For mains, we ordered a pollo (chicken) sandwich and a veal sandwich with tuna mayonnaise. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The veal sandwich lacked a bit of flavor, but they'd deliberately left it without salt or pepper because of the older guests they often have. Unfortunately, they didn't have any salt or pepper on the table so I could season it a bit more. Besides the two courses, we also shared the almond-liquor 43 cake, which was absolutely delicious! The waiter/bartender was also very friendly and provided excellent service! The location was also beautiful and looked well-maintained inside.

We were here with a Social Deal and were unfortunately very disappointed. When we made our reservation, we had already mentioned that one of us was vegetarian. Yet, we were given meat with our starter. When we pointed this out, we received a lukewarm response. With the main course, which we had to wait over an hour and a half for, things went wrong again: meat again, even though we had clearly indicated otherwise. Moreover, the food itself was nothing special and certainly not what you would expect based on the photos and description. The service seemed unfriendly and disinterested, ignored our comments, and there was no smile. We ultimately skipped dessert and left early. For us: not what it seems and not recommended.

We ate here with a social deal. The food was incredibly delicious. With a social deal, you often get simpler dishes, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. The service was fast and incredibly friendly. We had a good meal and a lovely evening. The cocktails were a bit mediocre, which didn't quite meet expectations. That's the only point of improvement I can suggest.

We had a few cocktails before dinner, and the service was very professional. The location is excellent, and combined with the beautiful weather, it makes for an incredible experience. We'll be back.

What terrible service. I see a few 5-star reviews here, and they must have been paid for it. The staff is disinterested, unfriendly, and has no idea how to serve someone. You'd get better treatment at an average snack bar. The staff didn't even come to the table themselves. The food was okay, although the chicken satay probably wasn't quite right because it gave me a stomach ache that night. All in all, not recommended.

Had lunch outside on the terrace. Beautiful spot. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very enthusiastic. Only one person was doing almost everything, while the other two gentlemen took turns smoking/taking a break in the middle of the terrace under the stairs. Yes, it was lunchtime, so it was incredibly busy. Great timing, guys! The food was decent; the freshly baked brown bread was tasty but had a tough crust, and my wife had carpaccio on a slice of this bread. It was incredibly tough. The knives weren't sharp enough to cut this tough stuff. All in all, the worst Utrecht terrace experience (out of many good ones) during our weekend getaway.

Pure rip-off! The menus for two people are deliberately charged twice – not a misunderstanding, but clearly a method. The service staff is hopelessly overwhelmed, and complaints simply bounce off the management. The food itself? Mediocre: sometimes overseasoned, sometimes completely tasteless, ingredients cheap and sometimes from cans. For these prices, it's outrageous – definitely not recommended!

On the patio, I ordered a goat cheese salad with figs and roasted pecans. The salad arrived without figs and with unroasted pecans. When I asked for the figs, they said they were out of them. One of my friends had ordered an amaretto sour and it a brown espresso color and tasted like coffee. Me and another friend ordered a pornstar martini and it tasted just like sugary chemical passion fruit juice with a little bit of vodka. The only really edible item from everything we ordered were the empanadas. The calamari was chewy and stretchy ( took forever to chew). The carpaccio was very thickly sliced. Don’t even get me started on the chicken wings. Overall just don’t go here for anything other than the location and view

Found the perfect spot in Utrecht! Lovely waterfront location, fantastic staff who work hard, you'll definitely feel welcomed here. The food is also deliciously fresh. When I'm back in Utrecht, I'll definitely be back! I'll be back!

A lovely spot on the canal with a terrace, perfect for a nice sit when the weather is nice. There's also seating inside. We had a few drinks and a cheese board, and everything was excellent. The service was friendly, though not always attentive, as you sometimes have to ask if you wanted to order something else. They can be a bit pushy, so you can easily overcome that. All in all, a great place!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch on the charming canal-side terrace – a perfect spot to unwind in the heart of the city. We chose the tuna sandwich and the carpaccio sandwich, both very tasty. Fresh, well-filled, and simply delicious – exactly what you hope for in a good lunch. The service was friendly, fast, and efficient, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. In short: a delicious meal in a prime location, and we're definitely going back!

An average to below average general impression. The waiters try their best I believe. But they were hard to understand, either in dutch or English. And we had the idea they didn't really understand us. The music was weird. Calamaris very dry, tenderloin quite good though. But the patatas bravas were drowned in way too much mayo. Restaurant should normalize putting sauces in a seperate container pls.
