Maastricht in Wijk 00 Centrum

We had reserved a table for 2 people by the window. We arrived 5 minutes early and saw that 2 people were just sitting down. The lady who took our reservation knew who we were immediately but started spinning a hopeless excuse/story... No apologies or offering a comparable alternative. A very bad experience richer!!

The burgers were very good, I think they're the best option available in Maastricht. The staff were very friendly and the service was 5 stars.

Don't give money here! Terrible

The food was tasty. However, the food was cold when it arrived. A real shame.

I never expected to have a quasi-religious experience in a McDonald’s. I saw a girl working there, clearly miserable. I immediately felt immense pity for her: this is not the life she had imagined. I realized that I only felt this because she was prettier than the average McDonald’s employee. The other employees all looked extremely defeated too, I noticed afterwards. I see a man taking an order, and he looks at the customer as if he hates him. Of course he hates him: he hates every customer who keeps this place running. While I myself am overwhelmed by melancholy and pity, deafeningly miserable pop music is playing. The song is apparently called Fingers Crossed. When the whining vocals reach the chorus, I am so sensorially overstimulated that I enter a kind of ecstasy. Everything inside me screams: this is inhumane! No one deserves to be here. I hope the employees find a way to escape from this.
