A surprising and very welcoming burger joint with fantastically tasty burger menus and delicious fries with artisanal sauces, and an enthusiastic staff. Hats off to this concept, which has been consistently preparing quality food with love for many years.

it came up as almost 5 stars, and the burgers looked good on the pictures. They are okay, not the best I ever had. For 15 Euro I either expect them to be bigger or with fries. And then add a little extra if you want special fries, like garlic and herbs. We had to order those seperately. The fries were delicious though. But 6 euros for fries is a bit steep. It is just the amount/quality versus price was below expectations. What bothered us was that they add a refund to the coke cans, but they won't refund them. You can leave them there or take them home. It is a small thing but it also feels like a small scam. By now I read more reviews and I can already type the answer: " we work with fresh goods, etc" And I understand and believe that to be true. But a 15 Euro hamburger then needs to blow your mind, be a bit bigger or come with fries, small salad. It was the small refund thing (I am sure there will.be an answer to this too) that tipped the scale for me and made me write this as feedback. Room for improvement, but with so many places to choose from, not my first choice to revisit in the future

One of the better burger joints in Maastricht and the surrounding area. The service is excellent, the burgers are all very creatively prepared, but the ambiance leaves something to be desired – it's only suitable as a snack spot for a family dinner. The prices are relatively high at around €20 per burger including fries; this could be adjusted to better reflect the value for money.

One word: Fan-tas-tic! I've never had such a delicious burger, and the fries are also delicious. Definitely recommended!

Okay, we went with very high hopes after seeing all the hype and advertising, but it was seriously the worst quality of burgers we’ve had. The bread, the meat, especially the “cheese” fries are so bad quality, and unfortunately was very salty. The service was super slow, although staff was nice. I think this place unfortunately needs a lot of improvement.

This place had good online reviews and was praised by influencers. But it was just an OK burger, and the wait for your food was long, about 40 minutes. The milkshake was very good. Still, I spent almost €50 for a 6 out of 10. I wouldn't go there again.

Oh man, we feel betrayed. We used to love this place, but everything we ordered tonight was not up to their usual standard. Dry dry dry. The smash patties were much thinner than normal and burnt to a crisp making them very dry. The chicken nuggets were not buttermilk fried as advertised but instead they were exactly like McDonalds nuggets and incredibly dry. The fried chicken for the burger has changed for the worse and is now a flat sad patty instead of the thick crispy hunk of chicken. So bummed this spot let us down from once being such a solid burger joint.

The place is super clean and exudes quality. The staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The burgers are delicious—fresh, well-prepared, and with delicious toppings. I'll definitely be back!

The place is small. The food could be better. Not much to choose for. Fries are nice. The chicken was good. Beef patty were good.

I ordered my Burger at 6h30 and it took 50 min to get served. It wasn't a complicated order

The Mighty Chicken Burger was incredibly delicious and the fries were very crispy. The staff/owners were very nice and friendly. The only downside was that the chili mayo was a bit too runny and could have been spicier. We would definitely come back on our next visit to Maastricht 👍🏻

Great burgers with delicious taste! They have many tasty options on the menu and the difficult part is to pick one. I got the California love2.0 and loaded cheddar fries echt lekker! I can't wait to go back there and try more like El Guacadoro!

Receiving food takes an extremely long time. We had to wait over two hours for cold food. The restaurant had no understanding whatsoever. Don't eat here. This is a waste of your money. Stay away!

Super cozy little place, in a location you wouldn't expect to find a burger joint. Nice interior, trendy. The burgers were really great. We think we ordered the wrong side dishes. We had the wings, but they were covered in a sauce that was very overpowering. We also had the fries with garlic and herbs. Lots of oil and a whole lot of garlic. Really too much of a good thing. We waited a long time for our order. Just over an hour after ordering, the pager went off, allowing you to pick up your food at the counter. Overall: burgers are highly recommended, but the wait time was a real shame.

Very delicious smashed burgers and huge portions, we couldnt finish all the food. The fries were also very tasty and high quality Their homemade ice tea was also super tasty. We will definitely come back. The vibes are nice an great for a dinner out. I had a vegetarian burger with bacon and it was super tasty and juicy. The vegan meat they cook is on a separate grill which is great because not many restaurants cook vegan meat on the same grill as the regular meat.

Super good burger. The fries are fresh and the coleslaw is very good. The Homemade Iced Tea was very fresh. You choose your dishes and order yourself near the cash register. Fair price. In my opinion, orders are more common there, but I still recommend it!

Food is good but price and experience spoiled the fun. We paid close to 60€ for 2 burgers (without any extra, one loaded fries, a regular one, a sauce and 3 cans of coke. Ok everything is expensive nowadays bla bla bla. Still, 60€. The worst was the experience with the service though. We ordered at 18:43 and got the food at 19:25 🥴. People were served before us and others coming around 19:10-15 got served at the same time we did. Not even an apology. We were also kicked out from our table since a larger group came. I can understand the idea but they must find another way. Either larger groups book or they don’t offer very uncomfortable stool without back but kicking someone out of its chair is rude. Period. Oh I was about to forget, don’t bother wearing freshly cleaned clothes, they’ll be good to be washed again the minute you enter the place. The smell of grease gives you the impression to eat in the kitchen itself.

Not to be repeated Let me be honest: this was not a pleasant experience. After waiting for an hour and a half, I decided to call, and was told that they had just started because it was so busy. It can happen, but then you should let them know or at least offer something as compensation. Half an hour later, the food finally arrived. The hamburger was mainly a sauce explosion. So much ketchup and mustard that you could hardly taste the rest. The wings almost certainly seemed to come from the freezer. And if that is not the case, then they are just quite mediocre. The fries were so salty that it seemed more like salt with fries than the other way around. And then you pay €35 for that. No drink with it, no small gesture as compensation, while that is quite normal at other places if you have to wait that long. Here? Nothing at all. If you want to eat here, better go to the restaurant yourself. Maybe it is better there. But delivery? I will not do that again. Waste of my time and money.

Super nice American-style burger. I found it delicious, just lacking a little taste. My boyfriend liked it but nothing more. The fries 10/10 (word from a Belgian!) and I had the truffle mayonnaise which was excellent. A bit cold atmosphere in the restaurant

Very friendly and pleasant little place. The burgers are homemade as are the fries and sauces. We feel the quality behind the products. On the other hand, the place is not very big so don't hesitate to come in advance.

The portions of fries are different sizes. So if you are with people who mind that: be careful. My fries with garlic and herbs only had a very smollndrop on them. Not nearly as much as others on the photos here had.

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd. Took over an hour to receive two citizens. The patties were unfortunately very unappetizing; didn't taste fresh and like it had pork in it. Unfortunately the burgers were thrown away after two bites. Contacted the restaurant about this. They would come up with an appropriate solution. Never heard anything again. Not recommended.

This places makes incredible burgers, both with meat and without. Their Firebird is to die for and has the best buffalo sauce I've ever had. The Garlic and herb fries are great but I wish the toppings were a but more mixed into the fries bc you get a layer of great garlic fries and then just regular fries on the bottom. The staff is super nice and they always have good music :)

The site is very small. They had two people who were in charge of taking orders and cooking. Although there weren't many people, it took them a while to place the order. The burgers are very normal. Given how the hamburger scene is today, there are more and more places that make great masterpieces, and people who dedicate themselves to traveling the world to try the best hamburgers, here they have not jumped on that bandwagon and made A very simple product and, in my opinion, a little overpriced for what it is. They don't serve at the table, you order at the bar and you pick it up at the bar. Like a McDonalds but dressed as posh. Of course, to eat in Maastrich without getting an eye out of your face, it is a good option. Regarding the facilities, they have a bathroom that barely fits one person inside and depending on its size, I would swear that there are profiles of people who could not use it. I don't know what the legislation is in this country regarding bathrooms adapted for reduced mobility, but without a doubt, all the rules have been broken here.

Very not transparent when it comes to ingredients. Never had a problem with ordering allergy-friendly food anywhere, but there's a first time for everything. After calling to clarify the ingredients, it took a while before the list was found. 20 euros for a portion of onion rings is absurdly bad service. Besides the fact that I couldn't eat it, the hamburger also looked unappetizing. Hamburger was way too wet and swimming in BBQ sauce. Onion rings were cooked well.

The burgers are ok but too bad they don't heat the buns they were very cold I didn't understand the concept. Compared to their catastrophic smokey korean bbq wings starter, a vulgar skewer of frozen chicken wings that you find in chip shops drowned in brown sauce, it was shocking for the price. The wait was immense, yet the restaurant was half empty.

I have a strong belief that this is the best burger in Maastricht. Also dont miss out on their cheddar sauce. Really good!!!

The flavor of the burger is acceptable, but not exceptional. The portion size is good, I left satisfied. The ingredients are fresh and the meat is OK, but the onion rings are past the frying point. The server was super friendly and it was very easy to order at the counter. The values ​​are as expected for northern Europe. I think the most negative point of the place is the location of the kitchen, which is very close to the tables and completely open - prepare to have your hair smoked!

My experience at Patty and Bun was riddled with contrasts, with the plentiful presence of BBQ sauce predominating. Although the burgers didn't exactly excel in flavor nuances, the generous addition of BBQ sauce was noticeable. Disappointingly, the dish lacked the refinement you would expect, and the flavor was mainly dominated by the intensity of the sauce. This emphasis on BBQ flavor overshadowed the subtlety of other ingredients, making the dining experience less refined than hoped. The biggest downer, however, was the inability to get tap water. Incomprehensible, considering that when I visited the toilet I found a working tap. With that said, the unbalanced flavor profiles highlighted that, despite some positive aspects, there is room for improvement in Patty and Bun's culinary approach and service.

Very good American style burger

What a cute hamburger joint tucked into an unassuming alley way! I am very happy to have discovered this restaurant. Seating is limited and burgers are made to order in plain sight. The burger selection is delicious! Definitely, USA style steakhouse burger patty - yummy. Onion rings and fries are crispy and make for very good friends with whichever burger (beef, pork, chicken, or veggie) you choose.

If I was rating their food alone, I would give 5 stars. As an American, I approve of these burgers- juicy, lots of good toppings, and a great bun. However, there are a few things that disappoint me. One- I always call in my order and the connection/quality of the call is awful. Very difficult to understand them and really scratchy. Two- the younger girl that works there needs help speaking to customers. She's not friendly and often gets our order wrong. And when the food isn't cheap, that gets old fast. Three- no prices on their "menu" online (so I'll be posting the most recent menu so we can all look at the prices). I understand that quality products costs more money, which is why we keep coming back. However, it's never cool to conceal prices no matter what you're selling, but especially when it's not cheap and when it's located in a student city. The total price shouldn't be a surprise when a student pays the bill. Fourth and final point- no need to try and keep selling products when I'm done telling you my order. I understand asking if people want anything else to make sure they're done ordering, but no need to ask if I want fries, and then ask if I want a drink. If I wanted fries or a drink I'd tell you. All that being said, I'll keep tolerating these things because I love a good burger, and the owner is a really nice guy. I'll also be happy to update my review when some of these issues are addressed.

Ordered takeout and they messed up half my order. The burger itself was average and the buns were not very impressive. For a burger place the fries were not good at all; very ‘store bought’ type fries. Maybe it’s better in the restaurant but for takeout should still be of better standard than it was.
