One of the best burgers I've ever had, and the best smash burger ever! I highly recommend getting the smash potatoes with it—they're amazing!! The atmosphere is really nice, there's good music, the servers aren't the friendliest, but that's not a big deal!

I went at 7 pm and was told it was closed. Not sure on the food but the fact that I made the trip and was stuck not being able to get a burger was really bad service.

Had this place saved for when I travelled to Amsterdam and unfortunately was disappointed. Don’t mind paying good money when something is good and fresh, but I’m going to have to agree with others that the portions are so small, there’s barely any meat in the burger and doesn’t even come with fries. Also, will have to agree that this place isn’t the cleanest. Might have been there on a busy day, but the floors were dirty and no tables had been cleaned. And as a person who loves to have a coke with any sort of junk food just know they don’t serve any sodas!

We had a burger and a loaded potato to go for 20 euros. Very, very tasty, but also quite expensive....

It was a very delicious hamburger. We ordered the beef burger and it's among the top 5 burgers I've ever had. The bread and meat tasted great. The place was a bit cramped.

The most smashy smashburger I have had… Very, very thin patties giving it a good crunch - almost too thin, would have preferred more meat-feel. Pickles and sauce really good, bun a little too big - overwhelming compared to the thin patties. Nice vibe in the restaurant. Extremely fast service - waited no more than 4-5 minutes…

We waited about 10mins and we asked to exclude sauce for the beef burger. Then the bartender ( a man) asked us to leave and look for another restaurant without any reasons. He has discrimination to Chinese women and children.

On top of that, one of the staff members was very rude and unprofessional. Customer service was terrible, and I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

The sandwich was good but there was a lot of oil, the potatoes were good but that garlic sauce was terrible, the small menu was generally ok for the quality, but two sauces cost nothing.

TIKTOK TOURIST TRAP: Overpriced burgers in a very mediocre local. The place is very dirty, the tables are in a bad state and dirty, it smells bad (kind of like trash) and it is very crowded. You can not modify the burger so you have to eat the many pickles that come in the burger, which are mandatory. The only good thing were the smashed potatoes. The bun of the burger is huge and the meat small, so it basically only tastes like the butter on the bread.

What’s the point of serving good burgers if the staff can’t show basic decency or communicate respectfully? I had an incident with the cashier—the one with long, pulled-back hair—and I nearly lost it. Please teach your staff the fundamentals of customer service and some manners.

The food came incredibly fast, the burger meat is very good, the bread is fresh, the atmosphere is nice, the only downside is that the meat per portion is small, which does not match the price, but it has everything you would expect from a simple burger, definitely stop by.

Maijard Smashburgers offers a very solid experience. The smash burgers are full of flavor, with a good texture, and the combos are well thought out. The place has a modern feel, and the service is quick and friendly, although it can be a little slower during peak hours. Even so, it's an ideal spot for a casual meal with consistently good quality. I give it 4 stars.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, they gave our order to someone else without even checking order number and when questioned the waiter just gave us someone else’s order and said ‘ you ordered fries and burger right ? Here‘. He didn’t give an apology or anything. So unprofessional, overpriced and greasy too . Not recommended

Love a good smash burger! Stumbled into Maijard immediately after I arrived in Amsterdam and it did not disappoint! The burger is big and definitely a handful due to the buns! Sauce was amazing and the lettuce and pickles really ties it all together. I know Smashburgers are supposed to be thin, but the pattys are superr thin. Could almost make it a triple while you’re at it. Price is a little up there but nevertheless, the burger was amazing and the atmosphere is fresh and hip playing old school rap/hip hop and pop. Definitely recommend!

I had the double cheesburger. This Smashburger is ok but nothing special. The buns are too fluffy and the sauce doesnt match to the rest. Unfortunately, the meat flavor doesn't come through properly.

the food was really good, i went there with my roommate and she really liked it! i am a vegetarian and apart from the potatoes, there wasn’t anything vegan. which is ok, i should’ve seen it before coming here, but i thought that Amsterdam would’ve had vegetarian options. anyway! i still recommend it if you’re not vegetarian ;)

Found a huge hair in my burger. Told them via email and still haven’t received any money back or compensation. Also I paid for the triple and only got the double, not that it mattered as it went in the bin anyway.

Its called a Smashburger not a Ash Burger! Tried the smashburger and had to laugh — if there was any less meat, it would’ve just been a sandwich. The patty was so thin, it must’ve taken courage to charge 15 euros for it (and that’s without fries). Next time I want this much bread, I’ll just order toast.

The floor is so greasy you have to hold on to the walls and tables to keep from slipping, the Jaap Edenbaan would be jealous. There's food everywhere, the tables are sticky—it's just absolutely disgusting. I wonder what it looks like behind the scenes if this is the public area of ​​the restaurant. The hygiene is REALLY poor. It seems to be getting worse and worse. Do something about it, because this is definitely not a calling card. No matter how delicious the burger is, don't let the rest go to waste.

It was a smash burger with average taste, the fries on the side were burnt from the oil and tasteless, the place smelled extremely oily, we ate it sitting down, it wasn't an exaggerated taste, to be honest I couldn't even eat the fries.

Very bad They're known for their burgers, but honestly, they're not that special. I've had better smash burgers; their fries are large potatoes cut in half and fried like that. This makes it very difficult to eat with those tiny forks. The back seating area stinks, and no one is there to help. Poor service, a smelly space with cracked walls, and overpriced food!

Stressful atmosphere, no air inside, meat so thin you can’t even taste, potatoes are tiny portions all this for a pretty high price. Only good thing was their special beer on the tap. I don’t understand the hype around this place.

I find the restaurant very attractive, with a modern, trendy style. The burgers are good and well-balanced, and the fries are original. However, I think the overall price is quite high.

The smash burger was flavorful and well prepared, though slightly on the oily side. It didn’t take away from the overall taste, and I would still recommend it. The ambiance was a bit dim, which made conversation a little difficult.

Maijard Smashburgers was tasty, but the wait was a bit long. The place was packed – you really had to fight to even get a table. The burger itself tasted really good, but it was quite small for €15. Unfortunately, we weren't full – we ate somewhere else later. Overall, it was okay, but there are definitely better options for the money.
