Great Italian with affordable pasta.

Overall good meal! It tastes good but you can actually smell “assembly”/industrial cooking. We are welcomed at an unconventional time to eat but it is their strong point to serve at any time. Don't forget that you will be asked for tips/tips at the end of the meal in percentage relation to the bill.

Superb dinner with four personen and everyone greatly enjoyed their meal. Everything was delicious— fresh bake bread, salads with fresh greens, outstanding pizza and pasta. Portions were generous. I would certainly go back!

We had a reservation at 2:30 we went in To ask if there was service because we saw it was super alone, and his answer was no, 30 more minutes the other girl comes out and I tell her hey but we have a reservation to which she answers yes but the one already told you 30 more minutes, it should be noted that it was raining and making it terribly cold.

We tried the margarita pizza and vegetarian siciliana pasta. It was amazing. The staff is very sweet and polite. They gave us free water as well. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Listen to me carefully: it’s one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve had in my life (and I’ve tried a lot of them). The pizza dough is fresh, the tomato sauce is crazy and the lasagna teaches you Italian🤌🏻 For the service: we had the impression of being great guests as our host was warm and attentive to us🫶🏻 I'm absolutely not exaggerating, go for it, go for it, you'll enjoy yourself without breaking the bank 😋

An authentic Italian restaurant with much more than just pizza. We enjoyed a delicious antipasti for two people. Extensive and delicious. The only downside is the cooked ham instead of prosciutto di Parma or Mortadella. The lasagna was delicious, the spicy pasta a bit too ordinary. Excellent service and pleasant atmosphere.

Gezellige mensen. Heel lekker eten. Ik raad het zeker aan. Wij hadden de tonijn pizza en de zalm penne genomen. En als voorgerecht een assortiment van vlees, kaas,… . Niet alles opgekregen maar zeer lekker. Als we nog eens naar amsterdam komen zouden we zeker nog een keer gaan.

Sorry to say. But very rude and unprofessional. We were greeted by a man who told us they were full without knowing we had a reservation. Lo and behold they weren’t “aware” and were very rude about it. They weren’t very aware of their own system. Can’t speak on food but it looked and smelled good. Too bad the service was ABYSMAL.

The food is good (not amazing, but perfectly good for a touristy location) and the portions are large for a very reasonable price (given the area!). The reduction in stars is because they charge 2 euro for tap water. For tap water! Now I see another low review commented this, as well. I guess the 2 euro must be worth the low reviews.

We were hoping for better. We were given a high table we couldn’t pull our seats in, tap water had to be paid for so was forced to buy a drink instead, and on top of all this the pasta was mediocre at best. Far too much oil, hardly any flavour and table service had a bad attitude. Would not recommend, but some good pointers for the owner.

Nice cosy italian restaurant near the main touristy area of amsterdam - restaurant was situated in an area that was filled with italian restaurants. Food were decent portions and tasted ok - not the best I've had but still nice. The stuffed mushroom starter was VERY oily, which isn't too big of an issue for me, but I felt like they could've browned the mushrooms a bit more. Calamari was decent. Mains: 1. I got the one with prawns: a lot of prawns in the dish, but be careful. They still have the shell on the tails, so you need to take them off. The rest of the pasta was pretty average. 2. carbonara - my partner enjoyed it, but he felt like the spaghetti was too soft, whereas when i tried it, it felt very al dente. Desserts were good - I got the daily special (pana cotta), and my partner got the tiramisu.

Food was good although pizza was on the salty side. Staff could be friendlier.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was slow, and the staff seemed inattentive and disorganized. Our food took a long time to arrive, and when it did, it was lukewarm and lacked flavor. The portions were small for the price, and the overall ambiance felt chaotic rather than relaxing. I expected a much better experience based on the reviews, but sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place

Disaster! The service was super hectic and unfriendly (we were jostled several times). In his overzealousness he stuck to my chair and half knocked me over. My full wine glass landed partly on my face and clothes. No apologies, just excuses. No compensation for the mishap other than a new glass, which was paid for in full. The pizza was bland/sour and didn't correspond to the menu because ingredients were missing. Completely wrong. Very unfortunate.

Terrible place. We didn't get to try the food because the waiter didn't feel like serving a family with children. Being the Empty place said it was fully booked.

Very good food, welcomed first by a very kind waitress who found us a table despite the fact that we had not reserved. Once seated, the boss comes to see us without saying hello, telling us that the table was taken in 1 hour and making us feel that we had to eat very quickly. Basically no problem with that but the form that was used was not the best.

My husband messed up our reservation so we had to eat the pizza at the bar next door but god damn was the pizza good. Potentially the best pizza I’ve had in my life. Order the pepperoni pizza and tell me I’m wrong.

The waitress was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Pizza was average and my salmon was burnt. There is a strong smell inside, we finished our food and will not come to this place again.

I had an excellent time here. My food was absolutely delicious, the kind that sends shivers down my spine. The service was helpful and they offered great recommendations. My focaccia e Pesto, Delicious. My Carbonara, authentic and delicious. The wine pairing for that carbonara, Perfect. My tiramisu? You wouldn't believe it but it was fantastic. Really cannot recommend this place highly enough. They take their Italian food seriously, and Italian food when done well, like it is here, is some of the best in the world.

I am truly disappointed. Please read before ordering. Unless you want to ruin your trip to Amsterdam. (picture) I ordered Aglio Olio, but there was no garlic flavor and the noodles had no seasoning at all. In other words, it had no taste at all. If you look at the picture, there is no garlic at all. If you look at the pictures in other Google reviews, there was garlic, but there wasn't any garlic in my pictures. I relayed this to the staff, and they apologized and brought me some garlic vinegar. I sprayed it without knowing it was vinegar, but the smell was so bad. So I asked the chef again. Then, I added garlic, did not cook it, and boiled the noodles in hot water again. And to me, “This is what the original aglio olio dish tastes like.” said the employee. I already knew about it because it is a dish I eat very often. This is a big wrong food. And while I was going to the bathroom, the cook and waiter were talking negatively about me. Afterwards, I did not receive any service until I left the restaurant. I felt like I ruined my first trip to Amsterdam with my girlfriend. I hope this gets fixed. 1. Employees are expected to respect customers’ opinions. 2. Avoid giving negative energy directly to customers. For others, please refer to this section before eating. I'm serious.

It really feels like we're in Italy. In the kitchen, we speak Italian and we work as a family. Restaurant on a human scale as we like them. Pizza, lasagna and shrimp pasta, we were not disappointed.

Small, cozy, pleasant place with reasonable prices. The focaccia and pasta carbonara were very good. The tiramisu does not disappoint.

My wife took the Tagliatelle with homemade pesto - the pesto was very oily - and she didnt like it very much. I had the Ravioli with Truffle and champignons - i enjoyed the dish very much and my wife as well. Nice location and food was okay. The waiter was a bit hectic which i was not used to but this was not a big problem.

We order here at least twice a month, because they have such tasty pizzas. The calzone is a particular favorite, especially because of the delicious bolognese sauce. My surprise was great when we ordered pizzas yesterday and there was no sauce with the calzone. I called about this because I thought they might have forgotten. I got a very grumpy gentleman on the phone who barked at me about what kind of sauce I had in mind. So the bolognese, which is common with a calzone. According to him, the menu had been changed and there is no longer any sauce with the calzone, all this in a very rude tone. I checked it on the site and at home delivery and it does indeed include bolognese sauce. For me it was the last time I ordered from here, a little customer service is the least I expect as a regular customer. Shame !!

Everything amazing, huge and delicious portions, friendly staff

I recently dined at Mama Impasto in Amsterdam and had a wonderful experience. The meat lasagna and Parma pizza we ordered were both delicious, made with fresh ingredients and bursting with flavor. We also had the chocolate cake made in house which was so delicious. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I would definitely recommend Mama Impasto for a tasty meal in a welcoming setting.

Food isn’t very authentic Italian. They charge 2€ for tap water without telling you (per table? per jar?). They’ll also try to guilt trip you into tipping them.

There are so many restaurants in this area, so popped into here purely because we liked the logo - and so glad we did!!! The food was truly delicious, I can highly recommend the pizza vegetariana as it was fully loaded and SO GOOD!!! Defs one to consider if not sure where to go :)

Ordered two pizzas and a tiramisu. It was all very rich. But what we liked most was the waiter's attention. Pay attention to each table at all times to ensure that you are well and that nothing is missing. Very friendly and attentive. Special mention for him!!

Booked with theFork which says to be dog friendly. Upon arrival, they only offered outdoor table and did not allow dog inside. Even asking for one more chair to put a bag, they didn’t offer and was quite rude. The food is just normal and there are many other places better than them.

Really quaint spot. I came with my mom and our server was quick attentive and charming. I know service is quite different here vs the state’s but this was the best table service we had for our whole trip
