McDonald's in Wijk 01 Stadskern

My visit to McDonald's Amersfoort Centrum was unfortunately mixed. The staff were friendly and did their best to help, which I certainly appreciate. Unfortunately, the food left something to be desired. The burgers were not warm, and the fries were actually quite cold when served. Additionally, the adjustments made to the order were not processed, which was disappointing. Although the staff responded kindly, the problem was ultimately not resolved. That is a shame, because good service is not just about being friendly, but also about actually resolving complaints. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident, and in the future, more attention will be paid to the quality and quality control of orders.

Food, service, and atmosphere are what you expect from McDonald's.

This McDonald's has pretty good food, and there is often a good deal with the app. I agree with some of these reviews regarding the staff; they aren't necessarily energetic or enthusiastic, but for me, they do have the food ready on time. The atmosphere is quite good—not too busy and never super quiet, but usually it is. Ultimately, I give it a 4 for food, 3 for service, and 4 for atmosphere.

They have 2 floors and a playground as well, but sometimes you have to wait a long time for your order.

10 minutes before closing, last in line. The ladies in front of me were still able to order. The guy behind the counter tells me I can't order anymore in an unfriendly tone. That's just great, when they are still open and I get turned away in such a tone. I just wanted to get a frappuccino after a long day working at a festival… Bad place, don't go there. Just go to the food court, we are customer-friendly there.

Can't you just make a good hamburger for once?

It is just a typical McDonald’s; you get what you pay for. I got takeout and after walking a short distance, we sat down to eat. By then, the food had cooled down a bit, and there wasn't much sauce on the burger, so you couldn't really taste the meat. Actually, I found it very bland. The meat was barely seasoned, if at all, and you could taste that. I wouldn't recommend it myself and think you can make much tastier and cheaper food at home for the same money.

They work hard, their work is not worth 1 euro, bravo, why do they employ people like this, and this is not the first time they lump everything together, and it's not the courier who made the mistake of mixing the heat with the cold, the ice cream when I got it was warm milk, putting it in a bag is not good, why are there millions of managers there, they are worth nothing

Normally not really any problems, except that something is always missing from the order. I redeemed 600 points for an Ice Frape, but when I scanned it, it didn't work. I went to the counter only to be told that I had to scan it there. After indicating that it was giving an error, he just looked at me, simply said "then don't," and walked away. No apology for the inconvenience or attempt to help; this is hopeless 👎

Most other places are better for food

It was a complete mess upstairs. Both my colleagues and I felt terrible for the rest of the day after our lunch.. No Mackie for now... 🤢

When ordering, I had to order in two ways: via online payment and the other part via debit card. In total, I had to pay three times. The food was cold, the hamburger had burnt bits on it, and the restaurant was dirty or awful. You try to reach a solution so that your order is at least right, but they do nothing about it. 52 euros poorer and didn't eat. I am never coming here again; it was so dirty. The restaurant hadn't been cleaned all day. The trash cans were full, and so was the floor. They should have just left it on the table like the others do. If I had known I could add photos, I would have taken photos there.

Had bad and cold food in 3 sittings and had to make 2 extra trips because they forgot the hamburger and croquette bun. Burnt hamburgers. Everything was dirty. Tables were piled high with overflowing trash cans. And when you say something polite to the staff, they just look at you and move on.

I decided to give the Italian Crispy a try today. Well, it was inedible. You should take it off the menu quickly.

Not busy, waited 15 mins for small order worth 15 euro. Cheeseburger wasn't freshly made but squashed and dry. Italian mcrispy was very thin and dry . Feedback was answered with not their fault.

Gross, the most disgusting Mac I've ever seen. They didn't have the cookie I ordered anymore, but I got a brown cookie, which wasn't bad for once. Guess what? It was HARD! A piece of my tooth even broke off. Never again! I hope you'll contact me.

It's good that they have gluten free, but the service is very poor.

Even as a paying customer, having to pay 1 euro to use a toilet that is best described as poop ridden, is just shocking. The service is also shoddy, I can see my order is ready, yet im forced to wait while 8 people who ordered after me receive their order. Result, a semi warm burger with one solemn pickle slice and no salad or onions.... This place is going down hill. I could open a McDonald's across the street from this place and do 3x the business because id hire competent staff that know what to do and have some pride in their job.

We got fries after our initial meal and we received them like this. Thought it was a joke at first. I believe that even if you order one singular item it's still food and deserves respect and proper serving. Seeing such lack of it, made me upset. I would never visit this establishment again.

The food is good, but McDonald's has become ridiculously expensive. Plus, you spend a fortune on food. If you want to use the restroom, you have to pay a euro. The service is incredibly poor. I'll never come here again!

The restaurant is a mess. I opted for table service, and then they started shouting my order at me. When I pointed this out, they didn't apologize, but simply said, "Okay, enjoy your meal." A wrapper was also missing, and the burger wasn't very fresh. Very disappointing.

The hamburgers are supposed to be freshly prepared here. However, my order was ready within 2 minutes, and everything was completely cold. I am not used to this. Hopefully, this was a one-off!

I went here last weekend and it was a truly wonderful experience. The food was delicious and hot, just as it should be. What struck me most was the incredibly friendly staff; everyone was genuinely sweet and helpful. Furthermore, the service was very fast, even though it was quite busy. I'll definitely be back.

Fine, the food was exactly what you paid for, but the toilet was closed and I really had to go but I didn't ask, so maybe it should have been allowed but I'm not sure.

A guy that works was racist against my friend spilled the drink and forgot to give straw or paper and the guy was screaming at workers getting angry at people for no reason and the tabley are dirty

Fast and widely available—that's the only plus. But the quality is very variable. Fries are often soggy, burgers sometimes cold or tasteless. The price-quality ratio is no longer right. Disappointing. Sometimes it's good, but not always.

I'm absolutely fed up with McDonald's delivery orders. No matter how many chances I give them, it almost always goes wrong. Sometimes the food is cold, sometimes items are forgotten, and almost always the drink spills, soaking the entire bag. For the money you pay, you should at least expect your meal to be delivered complete, hot, and neatly packaged. What makes it even more frustrating is that when you call McDonald's to report the problem, they immediately blame the delivery driver. But as soon as you contact the delivery service, they point the finger at McDonald's again. You're sent from pillar to post and you get nowhere. No accountability, no solution, just frustration. And in the meantime, you've lost your money and are still left without a decent meal. Frankly, I'm done with it. It's a waste of my money, my time, and especially my patience. These kinds of repeated mistakes shouldn't happen at a chain as large as McDonald's. Save yourself the headache. I absolutely advise against McDonald's delivery.

Super weird, not even allowed to go to the toilet, worst MC in Amersfoort, scandalous.

Today (19-10-2025) I ordered a cappuccino. While I was waiting, I saw on the screen that my order was ready for pickup. Yet, I was completely ignored by the two women behind the counter. They looked, but said nothing and made no attempt to hand me my coffee. A kitchen employee called out, "Yes, I'll be right there," but my cappuccino was already ready. When I asked why it was taking so long, I received no apology or response. Not a smile, not a word of understanding, nothing at all. That's a real shame, especially for a first visit. Counter staff are the face of the company, and a friendly attitude costs nothing but means a lot to the customer experience. My advice to management: train your staff in customer service and communication. Teach them to politely assist guests and not ignore them; that's part of professional service. I left feeling bad and almost left my cappuccino.

The older, Indian-looking manager was rude. When I asked about the ice cream, she started yelling and being rude. There was a small amount of ice at the bottom of the cup.

Everything was bad, food was cold, took a long time even though it was quiet, staff was rude, when I wanted to go to the toilet, there was only one toilet, AND IT ALSO COST 1 EURO, stingy people

We were asked to pay a €1 toilet fee. Even though we were guests, we spent €37 there...absurd. And it was dirty no matter where you looked.

What a mess! The food is usually cold, the order is often incomplete, the wait is long, and now the toilet is also expensive. Those prices are ridiculous... McDonald's in the Netherlands is really bad.

Do not eat there. The manager has friends who reach over the service-area. Not good.

A good McDonald's for a nice meal. Open until 2 a.m. on some days, which is also convenient. Otherwise, it's just like most McDonald's.

Got the wrong burger and fries were shit

A very run-down McDonald's where the presumably youngsters dominate and do whatever they want. Don't go there with the family in the evening.

I'm tired of waiting for the order

One of the Worst McDonalds I had ever experienced, service was really bad they took 25min for a simple Order, even after asking 6 times for my order and didn’t even get any of it right other then the burger. Give me McShaker Fries but not the fries? Absolutely disappointed. Hope this places gets a new management or something or gets closed. Glad I don’t have to come back. If the staff wasn’t as rude as they were I would have been fine with the mistakes but they just ignored my request to get my order and then still get it wrong.

Always a great experience at McDonald's in Amersfoort! They regularly have great deals, like medium fries for just €1.50 – and they're always delicious. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and sometimes they make it extra special by letting customers watch or even mix their own milkshake or McFlurry. This creates a personal and customer-focused atmosphere you won't find everywhere. Highly recommended!

Not a very pleasant McDonald's. It's not very big inside, and it's often packed. It's often dirty, and I don't think the tables are cleaned very often. You wait ages for your food, and the customer service isn't exactly friendly. I only come here for takeout, but I'll never sit down comfortably.

A regular McDonalds but the BigMac was just cold. And when I said something about it, I got the answer that I should have reported it earlier. But when my little daughter ordered something, they were friendly again. But that cold BigMac is really a turn-off!!! And the BigMac was also at best 'lukewarm' during the last visit...

Much too busy, apparently our deposit is not a deposit, the order took 30 minutes to make because they lost the receipt, error in the system, 1€ deposit and we got 0.15€ back

Just get an ice cream Mac flurry mm's. €4.35 is quite a price, but they are great ice creams after all…. Then you get this! mm's are dumped at the bottom of the cup and you put a mini soft ice cream on it, sorry, this is really not okay!

They are scammers, you order food and drinks, you get your drinks delivered, there is no food returned to the delivery person and you simply do not return with the food that was paid for.

The food was very average, the burger was flat and cold and the fries were not fried properly and there was not enough salt on them. Also, the McDonald woman was very rude to me and was very selfish.

They almost always mess up your order, which you either find out at home with no way to correct it, or if you do find out while still in the store, adds a bunch of hassle to an otherwise simple order.

Everything was so bad, I was skipped and numbers after me were helped earlier. I walked to the counter with my receipt because I had already been waiting for 20 minutes, my receipt was given to the back but no one looked at it, my receipt ended up being on the floor. really terrible service and waiting times, I finally asked for my money back.

It is certainly not fast food. Waited 20 minutes for our food. Was supposed to be brought to the table but had to pick it up. Which we thought was strange. All the citizens were stone cold. And when we agreed, we got the answer. But the box is warm in poor Dutch. After some difficult English communication we got new burgers and fries. And even then it wasn't warm. And no, they speak little or no Dutch. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to.

Ordered via Thuisbezorgd, including a Vanilla milkshake for my daughter. We get a Banana milkshake. My daughter is completely allergic to bananas! Called McDonalds immediately, yes, sorry, just send a message to Thuisbezorgd and you will get your money back. They didn't even bother to bring a new milkshake! Fries completely limp and cold. Last time we order McDonalds.

The place was a big dumpster. Trash everywhere on the ground. People literally throw it away. Where is the manager to do something about this? Don't dare?

Been several times but service is very slow and chat with each other in the open kitchen. Moreover, half do not speak Dutch and/or speak to each other in another language. Staff shout among themselves. Preparing food and once a loose tea and other times, both times had to wait longer than 15 minutes even though it was not busy.

Went to the MC in the center for the first time in years. Had a Big Tasty, OMG E7.30. Service was slow and resembled beavis and butthead in behavior. Sat down and opened the container, that they have the audacity to sell this. It looked like something that had been under my car for 2 days and was being heated up. Don't think it's surprising that things are going badly for the MC with such actions. By the way, it is not only in the Center, my colleague also heard that it is just as bad on the blades.

I think this is a bad McDonald's. No atmosphere, staff lethargic and give the feeling that they would rather not see you. Even if there are few orders, you have to wait an extremely long time. Plus if you want to get a latte in the evening the answer is always yes, the coffee machine is clean, I think you should be able to get what you want until closing time unless the stock runs out.

ordered here today, a simple burger without pickles. Still got pickles on them and i found out later by my allergy being triggered. They probably didn't look very well on the order as all they were doing was talking to each other instead of actually being busy. staff was not very friendly/keen to even say hello or anything. just a very mumbled "here". outside, after dark there are often sketchy guys outside with their delivery bikes not doing much. 0/10 would not recommend to anyone

I ordered a mac flurrie and a hamburger and it took half an hour when it arrived but the hamburger only had a dry piece of meat on it and the mac flurrie was up to a quarter full. Then I went to the toilet and I immediately felt like throwing up. DO NOT COME

My Girlfriend handed in her points for a free mcflurry and they refused to give it to her after going back and forth with them. this isnt the first time they f’d up this mcdonald’s is horrible their service sucks and they need to be shutdown asap.
