We had a very disappointing experience at this branch. We came for breakfast shortly after 9 AM, and I ordered the Double Egg Bacon Breakfast Menu. When we received my order, my husband noticed a strange green discoloration on the egg. After opening it, it looked like mold to us, so we immediately brought it back to the counter. Instead of calmly explaining the situation or apologizing, the staff took the food and then started shouting at my husband. When I came over after hearing them, both staff members were shouting at us. I was honestly confused by their reaction. We were the customers who had just been served an egg that appeared unsafe to eat, yet we were treated as if we had done something wrong. We also witnessed the staff behaving rudely toward other customers. Food safety concerns should be taken seriously, and customers should never be shouted at for raising a legitimate concern. The service and attitude we experienced were completely unacceptable. We would not recommend this branch.

I ordered take away. They forgot my fries.... I'm 15 minutes away, now they took the receipts when you take your order so you can't claim anything.

I already paid for 20 + 9 nuggets and three drinks for a group of homeless people. Asked if they could throw in something extra. Manager came and did not even answer me. Filthiest look ever. Shame on you. Been coming here for 7 years but not stepping foot in here again. Greedy. I know it’s not their responsibility but the way it was handled told me everything I needed to know.

Always full of drunk people that nothing is done about, no security whatsoever next to one of the busiest locations in Amsterdam. Food is often served cold and also forgotten. You come home after work at night and your food isn't there.

Absolute worst McDonald's experience ever. ​The staff at this location had zero customer service skills—no greeting, no manners, and an attitude that made it feel like taking my order was a massive burden. To make matters worse, they completely got my order wrong. ​When I went back up to the counter and physically showed them my receipt, they argued with me instead of fixing it. After a lot of eye-rolling and clear reluctance, they finally handed me a new bag... only to get the order wrong a second time. Dealing with that level of incompetence and disrespect just isn't worth it. Avoid this location at all costs.

It's a nice-looking McDonald's, you can't deny that. Otherwise, we were forced to order takeout even though we were staying in. The cleanliness was average, even for a fast-food restaurant. The staff was only moderately friendly. It wasn't possible to split the bill at the register with a credit card. Quite a few items were unavailable. Sauces and restrooms cost extra, although that's common here, it's worth noting. The food is typical of any McDonald's; you know what you're getting. The empanadas were great, though.

Paid restroom and a very long wait for the order. It doesn't live up to McDonald's standards at all.

Super fast stir fry! Common cafeteria/eatery, but right on! Beef was surprisingly tender for such a quick stir fry.

It's shameful that they charge their own customers €1 to use the bathroom! The woman in the bathroom was extremely rude and laughing at the customers.

We received it twice during our vacation, it was very filling and delicious. Delivery is fast. I don't understand the negative reviews, it's quite good.

We only wanted to use the restrooms briefly. However, you're immediately asked to pay €1. That alone is annoying, but what you find for that money is absolutely unacceptable. There are far too few toilets for the number of people, so you have to wait in line forever. And when it's finally your turn, the hygiene leaves much to be desired. The place was completely unkempt. If you're going to charge for toilets, at least they need to be clean and have sufficient capacity. Very disappointing!

They give you QR code for bathroom on your receipt but then when want to enter they ask for 1 EUR coin. The food also was not good as other branches. Not recommending

It’s very surprising to charge clients €2 to use the toilet. What’s even more disappointing is that they have placed two guards there who are very rude and stop people to ask them for money to use the toilet.

Clean establishment and delicious cuisine

Yesterday I encountered a very unpleasant situation at this McDonald’s, which I want to warn other customers about. I went in just to buy three ice creams. I placed an order, paid for it with a bank card, and received a receipt with the order number. However, my number never appeared on the screen. There were a lot of people in the restaurant (about 20-30 people were also waiting for their orders), and the numbers on the screens behaved strangely: some disappeared, others appeared. I decided that perhaps this was a temporary problem with the system, so I just waited. After waiting for 30 minutes, I turned to the woman who was taking the order. I explained that my number was not on the screen and asked if there was a problem. In response, I only heard that I had to wait longer, because my order was supposedly still being processed. There was no check of my receipt or any attempt to sort out the situation. When the total waiting time reached 40 minutes, I turned to another employee (probably the senior shift manager). I showed him the receipt with the payment time and noticed that 40 minutes had already passed, although my order was only three ice creams, which are prepared in just a few minutes. He quickly checked the information, took my receipt, and about two minutes later I received my order. I did not lose any money and still received the ice cream. But because of this situation, I wasted almost an hour of my time and even ended up late for the museum I planned to visit. I am writing this review not to blame anyone, but to draw attention to the problem. If your number does not appear on the screen for a long time, do not wait 30-40 minutes, as I did. It is better to immediately ask the employee to check your order on the receipt, and if the first employee does not help, contact another. In my case, this is what allowed me to solve the problem in just two minutes.

The most terrible McDonald's I have ever visited. The staff walked around completely uninterested; nothing but grumpy faces. No napkins with the order and the order was incomplete. When I went to ask for the fries I was missing, I got new ones, but again, they had an attitude as if I were a criminal. Tables were dirty, etc. I could go on like this for a while, but there's no point....

Worst McDonald’s store I’ve been in my life. And I’ve been to McDonald’s across the world. Slowest service ever and most disrespectful staff I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. My order umber was never called out for. After 30 minutes waiting I complained and they refused to bring me fresh food. Never coming back here.

People don't speak Dutch, staff sit next to you on the phone in a foreign language. And after eating an order of 50 euros, you also have to pay 1 euro for the toilet. RIDICULOUS!! We will never come here again.

If you want a free migraine with your mcdonalds I'd recommend this place. The bight ah light sceens at the casier are absolutely terrible. No idea who thought that was a good idea to put that there.

Food was typical mcDs but expensive and slow. Waiting area was like a sauna. After eating we had to change a poopy diaper so we went up 2 floors where it said the changing room was free (regular bathrooms were not). We thought someone was in there so we waited a while. Knocked and no answer so we went in. When we came out, a cleaning lady was yelling at us that we should have asked her to go in??? She was no where to be seen while we were waiting there for several minutes. She said someone saw us on a camera, then why didn't that camera person tell her to let us in if she was supposed to be the one to do it?? Very unprofessional words and tone. Ridiculous way to treat a young family just trying to change a baby. No signage to indicate we couldn't just go in.

Food is great, and there are some really lovely staff there. If it wasn't for the really personable Spanish lady, it'd be a three star. I come here's fairly often and unfortunately around 20-30% of the time depending on the staff, items will be forgotten. Keep an eye on them servers, if they seem dozy or struggle reading, check your order!

We had a short wait, but the store was packed and somewhat labyrinthine - which made it seem confusing to us.

The food was fine, but the behavior of an employee completely ruined my visit. When I politely asked if I could use the restroom, she reacted very unfriendly, called me “goofy,” and later started yelling loudly at me in front of other customers. I have never experienced such unprofessional and disrespectful treatment at a McDonald’s. I hope that management takes this situation seriously and takes appropriate measures.

Do not eat there with a baby. The changing room is upstairs and locked. You have to ask so that it gets opened but there is no sign explaining this. My wife waited for 10 minutes. The bathroom personal is quite rude. No bin etc inside the changing room. Thanks for nothing.

Horrible experience, standard food, but only one bathroom in the entire PV with reduced hours. When we asked for the bathroom, we were told they open at 9:30, but at 9:40, it wasn't available. The manager didn't know where the bathroom key was. If you can, avoid it!

Today I looked for 5 McDonald's locations in Amsterdam None of them had any Hard Cup Reusable Cups left At this McDonald's near De Munt, the Hard Cup Reusable Cups are sold out How can Hard Cup Reusable Cups be sold out if they are reusable cups? The staff working here needs to take a course in reading Dutch If I indicate that I want a reusable cup, why do I still get a disposable cup, and why do I get my order in a disposable bag? Even though I indicated that I wanted to eat here. The toilet service here is also very bad, because the toilet is closed during the evening hours.

They're pulling a fast one at the counter here too...they claim the food is ready for pickup, but in the end you still have to wait another 10 minutes...They were clearly trying to boost their internal metrics. Toilets cost €1, and the cleaning lady wouldn't accept the food receipt, which is completely unacceptable to me. The food itself was okay.

It's outrageous that you have to pay €1 to use the restroom even though you're dining at a restaurant. Someone was sitting in front of it, and apparently the machine was broken. What a shame.

My cola cola zero tasted like liquid marzipan. I tried getting a new, but the lady at the register was very rude. She claimed it was because I ordered zero instead of regular, and that's what they always had. Didn't even listen to what I was saying, almost started yelling at me, so just gave up and didn't drink it.

Very disappointing experience. Apparently, they don't even want to provide napkins. According to the staff, each customer is only allowed one napkin. I find that really stingy and completely unfriendly to customers. At a fast-food restaurant, you expect at the very least to be able to get enough napkins without any discussion. A truly awful place. The toilet costs 1.00 euros. You wait a long time for your order, and it doesn't even appear on the screen; you have to look it up yourself. The staff throws your order on the tray like it's trash. The staff's attitude is terrible. I couldn't even finish the food, and the lemonade was just ice and called it lemonade. There are no outlets, no internet.

Horrible place, no charging stations, and the toilet itself costs 1 euro per person! How can a cafe have a paid toilet? They also constantly mix up orders, displaying that the order is ready when it's not, and you have to wait another 10 minutes. They even brought me a burger without a pickle even though she asked for it without onions, gave me solid ice instead of water, and didn't give me a straw for my Coke. They work half-heartedly, just grabbing food and throwing it around, and they work without gloves.

Pay toilet? Are you out of your mind? Awful! 1 star for this place.

McDonald's is standard in taste and quality, but the atmosphere is a bit hostile, the staff are rude, and the bathroom is paid for separately, which was a surprise because I've visited McDonald's in other countries and you just had to show your receipt. My number was called while I was in the bathroom, and the attendant yelled at me when I went to get it. I'll never set foot in that place again.

I was here 2 times, -Once i tried for a breakfast, but i could not order things i normally do, not because they are not available in this country, but because the worker said it was "impossible" to put bacon on a sausage McMuffin (would not charge fee, just said impossible to add it).And i was disappointed with the breakfast meal in general, except the orange juice. -Another time i came just for a hot chocolate -I worked at mcdonalds in Canada, and was a shift supervisor, and i did not really like this mcdonalds.

On November 13th, I ate three cheeseburgers at your place with friends for a quick bite. I've had stomach cramps since Friday morning!!! It's now May 17th, and I'm still having problems!!! I often eat at your Hilversum branch, and I never have any problems there. You need to pay more attention to your hygiene because this is simply unacceptable. I think I'll call the NVWA (Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority) about this. I'll never come here again.

They say they give us trays after a certain time, but they didn't specify that when we selected from the display. Even though we said we would eat there, they gave us takeaways.

What a sad affair this place is. Impersonal, no service at all, ugly place. I ordered a McFlurry from the vending machine, and after waiting 10 minutes, I finally asked where it was. Then, without a word, I was given the ice cream (without sauce, no less). Close this place down!

Saturday 25 October 21:10. I was eating upstairs at this McDonald’s when I saw a mouse crawling under the seats where I was sitting and as I was eating. A very unpleasant experience. I immediately informed the manager, who was understanding and explained that an exterminator comes in daily. She told me the issue happens because the restaurant is open to the street. Still, this was on the first floor, which makes it even more concerning. What if there are mice in the kitchen as well ? I understand Amsterdam is a big city and it can happen but I hope stronger measures are taken to prevent this from happening again. However, I will not be coming back and will be forwarding this to McDonald’s head office.

I ordered milk but didn't get it with my order and I didn't like that very much.

Online it says it’s open outside of the building it says it’s open, however it was not open and then we got send out in a very rude way

The storefront is very pretty, quite different from other countries I've visited. But in general, it's like all the others. And of course, that's to be expected. But everything went smoothly! We used the bathroom more than we ate, too... Oh, and you pay €1 to use it!

After a major renovation, this McDonald's is much more spacious and pleasant. The seating has been significantly improved, everything has been done well, and you can now order food even faster! The two entrances and exits remain convenient, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive! The restrooms are (almost) always clean, and my tip remains to sit upstairs for the best view! This is a great place to stop before heading into the city center!

Normal McDonald's... But you have to pay for the bathroom!! Even if you eat. Absurd for us Italians! The bathroom is a right of those who eat in the restaurant. In Italy, a restaurant must have a free bathroom by law for its customers.

Just had very unpleasant Experiance. We ordered mc flurry Oreo icecreame and it has hair inside. We didn’t even mix ice cream and headed over counter to complain and surprisingly instead of listening to us, the manager and representative start talking by putting false allegations that it’s you’rs hair. Extremely unexpected behaviour in heart of Amsterdam city from int. food chain like McDonald’s employees.

Clean, well-located, three-story establishment with self-service machines for ordering in three languages. Affordable and convenient. Soft background music.

It's standard McDonald's, but unfortunately you have to pay for the bathroom. Plus, if you take your drinks outside, they charge you €1 for a plastic cup. And thank goodness plastic was eliminated.
