Amsterdam was missing a good Gyros, here it is!

Got Greek takeout for five people yesterday. It was delicious! I even have some left over, so I'm still enjoying the weekend :) Edit: I'm a fan of Mitsos, but it's gotten quite expensive now (2024/2025). And a 20-euro menu didn't have much meat. I hope for a fuller container next time.

One of the best gyro pittas we've ever eaten, and we've eaten a lot of gyros. But this one in Amsterdam was truly delicious.

I was here with my girlfriend around 13:00 , the owners greeted us with love and the inside was very nice, We had pita gyros with chicken and some small side dishes, everything tasted like it was made directly in greece, it was do tasty. I reccomend this place for everyone who walks by

In hopes of finding a place in Amsterdam with decent Greek gyros, unfortunately was met with another disappointment. First of all, the gyros is prepared in a pan, not the traditional vertical skewer (souvla) you’ll see in Greece. That gives you already an indication the meat won’t be crispy. Moreover the pork lacks spices and any flavor whatsoever, I had to double check if I was eating vegan gyros. The pita and tzatziki are actually quite nice. I would normally give it 3/5 stars , but honestly this place can’t be 4.9 stars which misled me as well.

A lovely place with friendly staff. A huge selection and freshly made products. We had the zucchini balls with feta, which were delicious. We also had a pita gyros. The meat seemed a bit overcooked; it wasn't straight off the spit, hence the four stars.

Mitsos is by far the best Greek restaurant of Amsterdam.The food is so delicious, extremely affordable when you compare it to other restaurants in Amsterdam and the staff is just super friendly making you feel at home. As a Mediterranean, I would recommend Mitsos above any other restaurant in Amsterdam.

At Mitos they make delicious home made greek food. The atmosphere is really cozy, the sweet owners are very welcoming and make you feel like you are eating grandma’s food in their living room. Highly recommend. Prices are very good too:)

I live in the UK and I have had thought of just booking a flight to Amsterdam just to dine here once more. Marvellous food. The staff were amazing they literally told us to take a seat and not to worry about the food as they just sent out their best dishes and wow! Delicious!

I got a gyro for €10.50. It was very small, and the chicken looked like it had been fried in old grease. Sorry, if you claim to have the best gyros in town, you really need to do better.

We absolutely loved it here. Had a one year old with a large stroller and despite how small (but cozy) the place was they were incredibly accommodating. Food was 10/10 just that wonderful, homey greek feel. Pitas were fresh and the mousaka was so nicely layered both form and flavor.

We had a great dinner with 12 people tonight! If you like real authentic Greek food and want to try a large selection of dishes, go to this eatery! You will find classic Greek dishes like Gyros and Mousaka, but also lesser known but very tasty snacks. As a catering establishment very popular given the crowds on a regular Tuesday. I will definitely come back here often, because the people who run this place are simply fantastic! I can't do anything but give 5 stars for everything. See you soon!

Always great, just noticed that the pita gyros had spicy sauce inside which was a suprise and not needed.

Often walked past, but today I ate for the first time. If only I had done that sooner! Delicious pita gyros with really fresh products, you can taste that. Also a very hospitable owner makes it complete. Would really recommend it! 10/10

Very nice authentic greek food. They had lots of side dishes and the people were very friendly. There were several vegetarian options aswell and the chocolate cake is amazing!

Quant little place that surprised me with the great flavors of the Meza platter and chicken gyro. It was nice to sit outside enjoying our lunch and sharing a delicious piece of chocolate cake. Highly recommended!
