The best thing i have eaten ever, i am going to cry since this only is located in amsterdam.

Excellent gyrus for a reasonable price.

Not traditional but very tasty - the pita especially. The chicken was well seasoned.

I had the soutzoukakia which left much to be desired. There was very little minced meat and most of it must have been bread. The taste was not original, lacking cumin which is a staple in that dish. I found the price of 20 euro outrageous for 3 pieces of aoutzoukakia and a side dish (rice). No one was Greek from the staff, so I don’t know if that has something to do with the execution of the recipes. All in all a decent effort, but I’ll be going to other places for Greek cuisine.

Ordered chicken gyros, it was tasty. Next time I'll try something different. The first time was already a good one!

Honestly the best chicken pita I’ve ever had. A real gem in the neighborhood. BEGGING you guys to open on Sundays! So many Sundays with craving for mitsos and no way to have it😭

I have eaten a lot of gyros in my life. This is definitely close to the best I’ve had if not the best. Price is also very reasonable for amsterdam standards. Good portion too. Other places will be 30% more expensive, 30% smaller portion and 30% less flavour. Highly recommend! I had the chicken gyros with fries.

Gyros was spectacularly delicious and the team was lovely!

I tried the spanakopita, it was crispy and really tasty, definitely recommend giving it a try. I also tried the meatballs, which were excellent as well. The staff were polite and friendly. There’s a small seating area, but overall it’s definitely worth a visit.

Last night we got takeout for a group of people and had a delicious meal. Their menu is varied and there is something for everyone, including a wide selection of vegetarian dishes. Friendly staff. We will definitely be back.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, especially because the staff was very friendly, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The gyros had very dry pork with almost no flavor, and the texture was quite tough. The fries were also undercooked. On a positive note, the gyros pita bread itself was actually quite good.

Candy store for food lovers. The pork pita was probably the best i’ve had, what a beautiful combination of flavours. Tender meat of high quality. My vegetarian friends were equally happy with the veg option. The owners and their staff are lovely, hospitable people. Mediterranean warmth on a lovely spring day - awesome.

Hands down the best restaurant I’ve been to in Amsterdam. The quality of products they use is incredible. They get their olive oil from a small village in Greece, they explained how they traveled different locations in Greece to get authentic recipes. The staff is amazing and you can taste how much love is behind every bite. I will be visiting whenever I’m in West. Highly recommended to everyone who wants actual good food.

Mitsos is a Greek gem in Amsterdam. The food is prepared fresh every day. The staff is friendly and it is nice and cozy to sit there. And whether you order a salmon menu or a hearty pita gyros, it is simply consistently delicious. Definitely highly recommended.

This is my favorite restaurant in whole of Amsterdam. And I live here for a long time.

Visited for the first time recently. The kantaifi on the menu was listed as one price, but at the register I was charged a higher price, which felt like a scam 🤨. When I asked why I was charged more, I was told that the menu shows the old price and that the price on the menu apparently is for a smaller portion... It was only a small difference in price, but as a customer I expect the displayed prices to be accurate and up to date. Clear pricing avoids confusion and awkward situations at checkout. I hope the menu gets updated so future customers don’t experience the same surprise!

This was my first time at Mitsos; a friend told me it was a truly great place. Upon entering, you feel the Greek family atmosphere, which gives you a warm welcome. The owners are welcoming and friendly and are happy to help you with all your questions. The food was delicious and homemade, and you can even watch the owners prepare it themselves. The prices are reasonable. It's one of the more affordable places in Amsterdam, even though Amsterdam has become much more expensive. I highly recommend this place to anyone who walks or cycles past, especially if you live in the area or have just moved in.

I so looked forward to come back for moussaka and other dishes but it turned out as a disappointment. The moussaka was sold out at 17h. Been here in the past when it tasted like Greek food. Meliitzanosalata was thick like butter. It all tasted and looked different now and definitely not authentic Greek. The kolokithokeftedes look like meatballs and lacked taste. Too doughy. Also rather expensive for what you get.
