Momenti became our "go-to" restaurant when we are in Amsterdam. We also visited the restaurant for their great lunch & wine pairings a few times now. Marco, the owner has a great understanding of the wines and tells about the vinyards and wines with a lot of passion!

The restaurant is beautiful and the servers are very friendly! The bread and olive oil are delicious, as are the parmigiana and roast beef with tuna sauce. For the main course, the pasta with lamb ragu is excellent and worth trying. We will definitely be back

My husband and I went to Momenti two Saturdays in a row. The food is excellent and the service by the Italian lady soon to be sommelier (whose name I cannot remember) was so perfect and caring. We also brought our dog, and he was treated like the guest of honor. We will for sure be back!

Very welcoming attention, very fast service, special recommendation for the special dishes with Italian truffle, exquisite. For dessert, the tiramisu and the lemon cake were delicious and very original, and the Irish coffee was also very delicious to finish, a great choice. We will be delighted to return on our next visit to Amsterdam.

Momenti is an upscale restaurant that retains a certain welcoming, homey vibe that makes it a perfect option for a meal with friends or a date. They serve freshly made Italian food with good ingredients, often including their own import seasonal truffles. Their wine menu, while containing mostly Italian wines, also includes wines from lesser known regions such as Georgia. The wine menu is big enough that you can find something affordable that'll satisfy your palate as well some of the most sought out producers from Italy that demand high prices. We visited Momenti for a truffle lunch: they serve a 3 course meal with plenty of bread and olive oil on the house. The pasta dishes are really fresh, you can see them being made just in time on your way to the restroom as your pass by the open kitchen. Food is well made and flavorful. We asked for wine pairing menu as well, and we were especially satisfied with their recommendations. Their approach to pairings was different than what you get at most restaurants, we got to try wines from small growers in Italy using indigenous grapes. It's not your typical "Chablis and fish" kind of pairing, to say the least. Overall we really enjoyed our meal at Momenti. The ambiance is cozy yet upscale, the service is fast and the staff know their dishes and wines throughly. Will come back for another meal for sure!

best restaurant in amsterdam, service was impeccable! we had a slight delay for our reservation however were immediately offered wine and aperativo. the food was great, and we highly recommended the limoncello and tiramisu!

If you want a cozy place to enjoy good italian food, you should take this restaurant into consideration. The service was great and fast ( you should try the tortellini with truffle). Every small detail counts and they made sure that everything was perfect. I would only advise you to make a reservation and to check out the menu in advance cause some of the dishes you see here are no longer in the menu.

Pasta dishes were very fatty and meat heavy, but lacking other flavors or any acidity to cut the heavy fats.

Beautiful food, friendly service (not overbearing) and a relaxing atmosphere. The lemon dessert is worth experiencing :-)

I came back again.. in Amsterdam aftet for year .Me and my husband stayed here for ea weekend.. Saturday we had dinner here only menu is changed for last time.. it was so tasted. And day after we went inmaschera di lillo tantintin ..they have the same owner. I can say ..the food is amazing and tiramisu . I dont have words to describe it ..

The restaurant offers a very pleasant atmosphere and excellent service. The menu is different, standing out for straying from traditional dishes, such as bolognese pasta, common in Italian cuisine. The food is of very high quality and extremely tasty. I recommend! The prices of the dishes vary between 20 and 37 euros.

Fantastic atmosphere, food and service

We spent a wonderful night in this beautiful place, we had just arrived from Italy, but here I have eaten better than anywhere in Italy itself. An incredibly cozy and super shiny place. We were attended to by Nico and Martina, wonderful service and attention. And otherwise excellent wine suggestions, I am very happy and totally recommend it.

The best food, small but cozy, the waiter's attention was very good, fantastic, better than in Italy. The food was exquisite, I loved the stuffed rabbit and the wonderful goulash, better than in Italy. Thank you very much, totally recommended.

Fancy but authentic italian… One of the greatest wine selection in Amsterdam, great service, amazing truffle lunch menu

It looks fabulous and cozy from the outside, set in this snug street between 2 canals. From the inside, too, but a little less. The signature meal is smoked eel, which I ordered. It's served with smoke held by a glass bowl. I love the taste of smoked eel, but in the dish, the eel is too much blended with the other adjacent ingredients, so it loses its specific taste (in my opinion..).

The food is very delicious. All orders are excellent. I had truffle ravioli, lamb pasta, and eggplant parmigiana, and each dish was better than the last. The waiter, Nick, was very helpful.

Price-performance ratio is not right at all, you can take a look at the portion sizes in the pictures of the restaurant. Even if truffles are included, 6 ravioli shouldn't cost €32. At the Italian restaurant in our city, the pasta is homemade and the portions are much larger, so you still pay under €20 for pasta with truffles and fillet tips. In addition, the service became unfriendly when we decided not to order anything. Personally, I don't think the fact that the toilet is right next to the open kitchen is particularly hygienic or appealing. The wine list is more extensive than the menu and as a vegetarian there is therefore little choice. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

I loved this place and it’s food however it’s quite crowed and the waiters are very busy which means it will take a while to receive your food. Although above the wait time the food was amazing and came out surprisingly quick.

Passando per casa davanti al ristorante, ci ha colpito l' aspetto accogliente e pulito.... Poi ci siamo accorti che era un ristorante italiano. In genere quando viaggiamo, evitiamo di mangiare italiano per poter conoscere nuove cucine e non rischiare delusioni. Questa volta siamo entrati e non ce ne siamo pentiti: all'atmosfera tranquilla, si è aggiunta un servizio attento e cortese, i piatti ben preparati e con porzioni giuste. I prezzi sono più cari rispetto a quelli italiani, ma assolutamente in linea con quelli di Amsterdam. Consigliato!

No me gusta escribir malas críticas, pero siento que debo expresar nuestra decepción con la cena. El personal era excelente, pero la comida era mediocre. Pedimos parmesano de berenjena como entrante y después de media hora llegó quemado, sobrecocido y tibio. Tenía el Tagliaone con pato y la carne tenía poco sabor más guiso de ternera salvavidas. Al ir al baño noté que la cocina parecía abrumada y con poco personal. Teníamos grandes esperanzas, ya que fue recomendado por nuestro hotel.

We’ve tried 2 pastas, both prepared very quickly but the taste was mediocre and price seemed to be exagerrated. Stuff nice and friendly, especially an Ukrainean girl. Their signature dessert “Funghimisu” was literally the only one delicious thing there. A bit overpriced, but trust me you’ll like it even if the classic tiramisu is not your fave dessert. Coffee, wine- also mediocre. So my 4 stars are in the main for Funghimisu.

What an amazing place! The wine selection was truly incredible, would highly recommend to stop here even just for wine and charcuterie. The food was also delicious, especially the parmigiana!

We had an amazing dinner yesterday 15th of October '24. Perfect table for 3 with a lovely red wine. The staff was very friendly and you have the feeling you are eating in Italy!

It was like going back to Italy! All the waiters were Italian ☺️ We ate Tagliolini al agnello and gnocchi al pesto! We also had the melanzane alla parmigiana ❤️ We had a great time.

We has ravioli with truffle and pasta with duck, both were delicious, but very small portions, especially ravioli. It’s a bit pricey resturant. It was very noisy (because of the size) which is quite normal in the Netherlands, but I just dont like it.

The food was abysmal. Tepid lasagnes, with a sweet crumble topping and fettuccine type pasta with duck which tasted like it was out of a tin. How this place has such glowing reviews, so h r no idea. Also we were charged 5.50 for still water when we wanted tap water.

Het eten was heel lekker . Het zag er heel gezellig uit , de bediening was heel vriendelijk. De straat is heel levendig en leuk en de toiletten waren heel clean .

Food was modest, the lasagna with gorgonzola, pear, and walnuts was not good, not balanced in the tastes and actually not with walnuts but hazelnuts. Considering the high prices of the dishes, not suggested.

We went because the reviews seemed to be good... but apparently not all of them were from customers... don't order ravioli, expensive and bad for the price... the capable staff was having a bad day... anyway... if they don't have another place, go ahead ..

Momenti offers an exceptional experience from the first moment you enter. It is a very well decorated, warm and friendly space. The waiters are incredibly helpful and attentive. Nicola, our head waiter, allowed us to take a seat despite arriving 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. I mention this because our first intention was to have dinner at another Italian restaurant that is located on the same block and which we could not enter because there were 30 minutes left before the kitchen closed. Thanks to this we ended up discovering Momenti and we have no regrets. The food is simply amazing. For starters we ordered some very tasty paramesana eggplants and for the main course some gnocchi that while I was eating them, I wished they would please not finish!!! For dessert we ordered a mushroom-shaped tiramisu, very delicious and eye-catching! It is definitely a place I would recommend to anyone in Amsterdam looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. Price/quality: 10/10 Conclusion: I want to go back now!

OK Italian restaurant, very good aperol spritz, but we didn't have time more than to taste the aperitif before the staff brought out the food, which was quite mediocre. The air conditioning blew on our necks where we were sitting.

Loved it! Super b pasta and lovely tables outside

We were just walking by and we wanted to try the food. We had several dishes and everyone was pleased with their selections. I had the truffle gnocchi and it was phenomenal. The sever was very pleasant and attentive. My little girls enjoyed their pastas. The wine was great too. I had red wine from Italy.

Terrible place. Didn't allow my daughter to use toilet. She was almost crying because city doesn't have toilets. We asked kindly and waiter and manager said "no" Greedy people. Greedy manager. Shame on you.

We stumbled upon this place, tired and weary, and it was perfecto! The staff were super friendly and accomodating for vegetarian guests in our party. The food was fresh, pasta perfectly al dente, portion sizes not too big for lunchtime. It is on a lovely neighbourhood street that clearly is supportuve os small artisinal businesses. I would not hesitate to revisit or recommend this place.

Amazing pasta, panna cotta and tiramisu. But the stat of the show was definitely the smoked eel. That was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had and I’d love to come back and have it again. Perfect portion size with a perfect flavour and texture combino. The atmosphere was also amazing and the staff was super nice . I can definitely recommend this place, both for lunch, dinner and desserts !! 10/10 💕💕

What a warm cozy restaurant! We saw them making the pasta earlier in the day. Dinner was delicious-eggplant Parmesan, and caponata as starters, tagliatini putenesca and with sausage, mushrooms and cream were delightful. we also enjoyed the gnocchi. For dessert we had a lovely plate of Dutch cheese and lemon in 5 textures. Highly recommend.

We had the Panzanella and the Melanzane as starters. Both were very good, albeit not exceptional by any means. The Panzanella was an interesting interpretation of the dish and we liked the olive oil tasting element, but there was barely any vegetable for it being a „salad“. I would always prefer the real traditional Panzanella, which this was not. So far, 4 stars. The main courses were rather disappointing in my opinion, I had the rabbit and it was tiny. I am not one to complain about small plate sizes when it comes to fine dining but then I expect to be blown away by the dish. This dish, however, was absolutely basic in flavor and I have had the exact same at other places for 20€ instead of 32€. Three tiny pieces of rabbit and a bunch of potatos are sadly not good enough. Also the way it was served was very unattractive, a tiny rectangular plate. Kind of reminded me of being served very expensive leftovers on the last available plate. The Ravioli with an emulsified Butter Sauce and Truffle were good and there was a fair amount of Truffle, so I can understand the higher price point (32€). But again, in my opinion the dish lacked creativity or something special. I have had beurre monte kind of sauces with truffle a dozen times and you can get a similar dish in many other restaurants. Based on these mains I would have given Momenti 2-3 Stars. The highlight, by far, were the desserts. They were what I expected of a place like Momenti. Creative, full of flavor and something I want to come back for. We had the 5 flavors of Lemon dessert and the Fungamisu. Both were absolutely insane and if we go back to Momenti it will be for Wine and Dessert. These desserts deserve 5 stars and are absolutely worth a try. Service was a mixed bag, there are many places that have more character or are friendlier. This was somewhere in between. Some employees were super friendly, but our waitress didn‘t give off a fun vibe to us. Maybe she had a bad day, I don’t know. Overall, good experience but won’t be coming back for the Starters or Mains. 7/10 or 3.5/5, rounding down because the price to value at this place simply doesn’t match.

The ambience is super cosy and makes you feel comfortable, staff extremely friendly , and a good wine selection. On the other hand the food was maximum average, awe were a group of 5 and all the main dishes had a flat taste, super heavy. Not worthy at all. And do not order the limoncello. It’s the lowest quality , none of us could take more than a sip.

Just because you're italian doesn't mean you should cook. Yes, the atmosphere is cozy and they have some wine choices but all of the mains were uneatable, felt like it was prepared by a 12 year old. Very disappointing.

We shared a plate of some cheese and ham, and a taste of some starters, 4 main courses, 4 glasses of wine and a beer and paid 250 euros. For this price, I expect a LOT more. The waiter had a suggestion for a glass of wine, and he gave us 15 euro a glass, when the most expensive one on the menu is 12... This is just bad etiquette IMO. The back of the restaurant is super hot, kind of uncomfortable and the food took pretty long. It wasn't all bad, but for this pricing I think the quality should just be a lot better.

We had a lovely evening at Momenti with very tasty homemade pasta (ravioli with ricotta in truffle butter). I've rarely eaten better! There was no skimping on truffles. The price was reasonable for this quality. The dessert was also excellent. In comparison, the selection of starters was a bit boring - everything was tasty, but it wasn't a highlight. We will definitely come back!

Received poor service from a female employee. This lady was busy flirting so she completely ignored us and the other table. Then she also looks irritated when you ask/say something. So unprofessional. All other staff were great. It's a shame because the food and atmosphere were great, but I won't be back because of this.
