We have enjoyed breakfast and dinner here. Really like the breakfast (& I am not a breakfast person). But there is a buffet with lots of delicious options and a small menu. Dinner was really nice. We had the tasting menu and they were super about working around my sunflower allergy. That was greatly appreciated. Over all delicious. Service was attentive and professional.

Highly recommended. Bill was very courteous and kind, and recommended excellent cocktails. A place with a refined and elegant atmosphere. A must-see if you're in Amsterdam ❤️

Hope that this is just a temporary slow down. Used to love this place. Lunch service was barrly ok. Servers didn't knew for example that the Thai salad will be served cold. We cold not really eat the soft shell crab. Nobody asked why (it was tasteless ). Sep 2026 : absolutely great experience! food was fresh and service very kind and helpful. I can even say that it was better than the sister Izakaya...

Best Asian restaurant in Amsterdam!!!!

A nice dinner place with great vibe. They serve Asian fusion food and a variety of alcohol. Ordered the sushi set and they all tasted amazing and I must say especially the fresh wasabi. The Tokyo rose cocktail was also excellent. Be warned, the price here is on the higher end though.

What I ate was not better than a chain restaurant in Asia. This is a location where they try to make up for the food with a good-ish DJ to attract the young & hip - folks lacking discernment in gastronomy. Way too noisy. Cocktails were good. The service also made up for it.

We visited MOMO Amsterdam last Tuesday and had a really great evening. We were greeted by a lovely hostess - that first interaction always sets the tone. The service was excellent all night. The food was fantastic, and every dish was packed with flavour. The Black Cod was the highlight for me and we finished the evening with the molten chocolate dessert. Overall, great food, great service, a lovely atmosphere, and the same warm smile that welcomed us in saw us out again. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, our experience at MOMO Amsterdam started off on a disappointing note right from the moment we entered. The hostess at the entrance came across as very unfriendly, distant, and rude, making us feel completely unwelcome. A warm welcome is precisely the first thing you expect from a restaurant in this price range. Because of her attitude, we felt more like a burden than guests. That immediately set the tone for the evening, which was a real shame. Hospitality starts at the front door, and unfortunately, that is where things fell significantly short. I hope MOMO pays more attention to this, because a friendly reception makes a world of difference. Fortunately, we had a delicious meal elsewhere with a fantastic atmosphere at a much more expensive restaurant than MOMO, which was REALLY worth it!

On June 11th, we went here for dinner to celebrate my best friend's birthday. Unfortunately, the evening was very disappointing. The food wasn't special, but the service, in particular, left a lot to be desired. A blonde waitress came to take our order. Because it was our first time and we wanted to look at the menu first, we indicated that we needed a little more time. However, her reaction was unfriendly, bossy, and quite haughty. Despite her attitude, we remained polite throughout. She indicated that she would be back in five minutes, but it ultimately took about 20 minutes. Subsequently, we heard her tell a colleague at our table that she didn't want to help us and that he should take our order instead. We found that very unprofessional, especially since the restaurant was quite quiet at that moment. The same waitress did not come to our table again for the rest of the evening. We were never once asked if the food was to our liking or if we wanted another drink. As a result, we felt completely unwelcome. All in all, this was a disappointing experience and certainly not one we would repeat.

Our server, istuan, was so helpful explaining the ingredients in each dish and verifying with the chef that we weren't ordering something that would trigger an allergy. The food was delicious and served at the right temperature. Istuan guided us on wine and dessert selection too. The entire experience was 5 stars except for the music being too loud. Book ahead to ensure a table.

"We played mini-golf first via Social Deal. The course itself could be better maintained. Perhaps some extra income for the youth? Or someone from the campsite? The food was fine, delicious freshly made tomato soup, salmon salad was excellent, the chicken thigh satay was a bit less impressive, but the Dame Blanche with warm chocolate sauce was delicious. And such friendly service. Nice to come back, especially in good weather. For the little ones, there is a nice playground that is clearly visible from the terrace to keep an eye on the children."

An excellent restaurant that, while having an exclusive focus, almost makes you feel like you're in such a place. The trip to the restrooms is a pleasant adventure, not only because of the generous amount of toilet paper but also because of the added excitement of getting there. The food features subtle experiments in innovation, but it's very well presented and executed, or rather, they try. Before dessert, in a truly exceptional gesture, they take your napkin and use it to wipe the table. In short, it's a case of trying too hard and falling short. Expect to pay over €100 per person.

There were four of us, and overall, the experience was good. The restaurant is beautiful, and the dishes were delicious. What impressed us least was the service. They were polite, but not very talkative and attentive, which is something we expected more from a restaurant of this caliber. We chose the €128 set menu, and although the food was good, we think there are other restaurants where we've enjoyed ourselves more for a similar price. Even so, it's worth visiting for the setting and the quality of the cuisine.

We had an amazing experience at MOMO. The food was amazing!!. The menu is super creative and unique and the atmosphere is stylish, vibrant, and perfect for a special night out. The service was excellent as well, friendly, attentive, and professional staff. The Jurassic Prawns were the highlight of the evening! Perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. I had such a nice experience here at momo. From the time I entered the host lady made me feel so welcomed and our waiter Lesley was so fun and recommended the best dishes to me and my bf ..he was quite charming and funny . There was also a DJ that made the vide so much nicer . Definitely will be coming back. Please try the quiet angel cocktail… superb 👌

Totally overpriced due to small portions, mediocre ingredients, over-sweetend dishes. Ripped and torn seats in the booths. It LOOKS like it should be a fine dinning experience from the outside but is not.

We went there and ordered the tasting menu. The food was just not so good. For that price point - we expected much more in terms of quality, and taste. We had 7 different dishes come out for us. The cocktails were good. Initial sashimi was good, and sushi was also fine. The next 3 rounds were.... Just ok. The fillet was overcooked and just not as great as I would have expected. And I've had quite a lot of these. The 2 rounds of cooked fish were decent. We ended up paying ~165 euro each, and were just unhappy. We also waited 20 mins between dishes since they had some gas problem. The waiter was exceptionally good at service though. Sensitive and aware. But the food wasn't good and for sure doesn't justify that price. Do not serve a chef tasting menu if it isn't good enough. There are a LOT of other places where you can spend 165 euro and get 10x the experience and return. I would not recommend.

Momo has friendly staff and a beautiful open kitchen, which makes for a nice first impression. The food is tasty and the wine list is good, and the cocktails are certainly worth trying as well. The black cod is highly recommended in my opinion. The prices are on the high side, though, especially considering the portion sizes of some dishes. The menu is extensive and varied, which is nice if you like having choices. The atmosphere is otherwise fine, but not particularly special, and the interior feels a bit dated in places in relation to the prices charged. All in all, a good experience, with a few points for improvement.

We had dinner here 2 nights in a row. First night a fixed menu which was so good and studying the menu we saw so many enticing offerings it was no question to cancel our reservation at our favorite restaurant in Amsterdam so we could experience as many things on the menu as we could with the second evening. Everything was delicious. However the service was so easily attentive - and kind! that I write this review. Momo is a very pleasant and airy room attached to Park Centraal Hotel where we again stayed. Next time in Amsterdam we will enjoy these two places which are very convenient to major museums and other interesting aspects of this great city. Thank you everyone at Momo for the memorable experience.

17-04-2026 went to Momo Amsterdam. Honestly felt more like a museum than a club. The place was dead. Everything is expensive, but you sit at tables that look like they came from a hardware store. If you charge those prices, at least bring some class. And it closes at 1 AM… right when you think it might finally get better. Lights on, go home. At least it saves you from buying another overpriced drink. The funniest part? They add a service charge themselves. I didn’t pay it and just paid exactly what I ordered. A tip is something you give, not something they can demand.

We dined at Momo with 7 people (3 children and 4 adults) to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Since we hadn't eaten here before, we asked the wait staff for recommendations. She assured us she would assist us well and advised us to order 2 dishes per person. Because there were 7 of us, she subsequently doubled all the dishes, resulting in a bizarre amount of food. After the first course, we had already eaten enough, and the main course still had to arrive. The bill came to 1,000 euros, including a 12.5 percent mandatory service charge. We will never come here again! What scandalous scammers!

We were here tonight, and honestly the first impression and the friendliness of our server were the only positive ones. The food and drinks were okay, but definitely not worth the long wait we experienced just to make orders or even receive our drinks before the food. After finishing our meal, we ordered more food and drinks, which took almost 45 minutes to arrive, even though the restaurant was no longer busy. It got to the point where we had to cancel the nigiri we ordered and just ask for the bill. The bill came with nothing more than a simple apology, despite the long wait and our considerable spending. Considering the high prices, this was very disappointing and definitely not worth it!

My favorite restaurant in the world, sensational food, excellent atmosphere, and perfect service. It's the first restaurant I've ever gone to when I arrive in Amsterdam, and it hasn't been in years.

Utterly enchanting. The ambience, the staff, and finally the absolutely exquisite food. Our party had vegans, vegetarians, carnivores and pescatarians. Everyone left satiated And happy. A must do!

Asian-inspired cuisine that could certainly benefit from some adjustments to the dishes. The scallops were overcooked, and the avocado ceviche was nothing like ceviche. Appetizing, certainly, but they could do better for the price.

With high expectations, we reserved a high tea for three people well in advance to celebrate a birthday. This reservation was made explicitly, and we even called twice the day before to confirm everything. However, upon arrival, it turned out that the restaurant had completely misrepresented our reservation as "normal dining." As if that wasn't serious enough, a second major error arose. Momo's website explicitly states that the food is halal, but on arrival, we were told this wasn't the case—"according to the chef." This means either incorrect information on the website or a lack of internal coordination. In either case: unacceptable. What is especially disappointing is the complete lack of consideration. No attempt to create an alternative menu, no creative solution, no sense of responsibility—even though the restaurant was entirely to blame. We were told that a high tea "must be prepared well in advance," period. That may be true, but this problem arose due to an error on the restaurant's part. Dessert was the only compensation offered. However kindly intended, this is clearly out of all proportion to a carefully planned high tea for a birthday. For a restaurant with this reputation, price point, and ambiance, you expect perfect organization, accurate information, and a solution-oriented approach. These were completely lacking here. What should have been a special occasion turned into a disappointing experience. A great shame, and definitely not up to par with what you'd expect from a high-end restaurant in Amsterdam.

The food is great, the service is good, but the surprise comes at the end. Six people ate and drank, and then we received a bill with a 17% service charge added on their own initiative. Not for the staff, but for the owners themselves, because the staff don't see a cent of it. Disgraceful. When I said I decide how I rate the service, it was immediately deducted. Pure theft. Just try it. On a bill of €1750, and they just added €300 without even realizing it. So be careful! It's a shame that a quality restaurant with excellent staff tries to rip off its customers this way.

Very beautiful place. Inside relaxing yet vibrant-chique atmosphere. I was there Saturday when their resident DJ (name is Simon Titus if I remember correctly) just made the experience to the next level for me. Such refreshing tunes, perfect for this setting. The toilet was a bit far from the bar, made me realize how big the location is (bar-lounge-restaurant). Will be back soon for sure to try food.

Exactly as we had hoped. The cocktails were top-notch, the dishes, which were mainly meant to share, were very delicious and prepared with fresh ingredients. The sushi melts in your mouth, and don't forget to order the tuna tartare. Japanese cheesecake and the Zen Garden were two great ways to finish. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the excellent service. We visited as a group and were seated in a beautiful private dining area. The service was good and the setting was very pleasant. However, considering the brand’s reputation, the overall experience felt like it was missing a certain finishing touch.

Went for lunch from my company. I am carnitarian but there were some veg food in the menu and we had two server for us . They were attentive and explained every meal that I was having just to make sure that there were no any fish or seafood in the dish.

My waiter for the evening was a lovely guy called Istuán He took great care of my friends and I but particularly paid special attention to the food allergies I have. He spoke with chef first and then explained for every course that was ordered what would be safe for me to eat and what wasn’t which I greatly appreciated. The whole experience was fabulous for us with it being the first time there. I would highly recommend MOMO and will definitely be going back 👍

What a beautiful place, kind staff too. Though when we entered to be seated, two servers apparently on their break skipped right past us without even saying hello. A colleague came a while later saying someone else would attend us, which took quite a while. The €19 cocktail was OK, the two chicken skewers (€18) had a very simple taste. The prawns weren’t salted. All in all a very average experience for what seems to be an upscale place.

A long-overdue reunion with a friend brought me to this restaurant, and I'm genuinely thrilled I took her recommendation. The experience started with an amazing culinary spread. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything was executed flawlessly. The Lobster Tacos were fresh and zesty, the Momo Roll was delicate and flavourful, the Satay Chicken was perfectly charred with rich peanut notes, and the Tempura Prawns were irresistibly crisp. Each item was clearly crafted with care, and the kitchen’s mastery was evident. Beyond the excellent food, the service was great—attentive, timely, and genuinely friendly. But please, heed my warning: save room for dessert. The true showstopper was the Black Sesame Ice Cream. I won't go into detail because I want you to experience the surprise yourself, but I can hint that it involves a playful, unexpected wrapping. Imagine a sweet twist on a savoury concept—like a dessert burrito. It’s an absolute must-try and the perfect ending to an exceptional meal.
