It was a great restaurant, and the food was great, but the waiters were not professional. They took the order wrong, so I had to wait long for my food, which lowered my experience

We only stopped in for a daytime snack. The tuna maki rolls were very good and the highlight was the real chopped wasabi on the side. I have only had fake wasabi made of horseradish before. The real thing was sharp and fresh but didn't linger on the tongue. Green tempura beans were probably one of the best examples of dish I have ever eaten. Very light, lacy batter. Only the tuna tartar was unexciting.

A dinner was organized for our wedding anniversary with our children. We really enjoyed our meal here! The prices are high but they offer very good food and drinks..especially cocktails. The dim sum was legendary.

We booked a table for New Year’s Eve for six people and were looking forward to our visit. When we arrived we were shown to our table and promptly given menus. The service was slow and inattentive. We waited 30 mins for our first drinks to arrive and had to flag a waiter each time to order more drinks. The service was so inattentive, that we made a decision to order champagne for the New Year’s Eve toast 45 minutes before midnight. And it arrived after with no apology from any waiting staff or acknowledgement. The food is ok in this restaurant, however, extremely expensive for what it is. A couple of the dishes were excellent but most were average or bland. We spent around €250 euros pp and feel like it was not worth the money. Overall a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend or go back.

Give me mooooomooo...re. Food very tasty and portion just right. Too bad that all sides have to be ordered separately and, like the rest, are quite pricey. Music a bit too loud for my taste because you almost have to shout to be able to talk to the person you are dining with. But if you are on a date with someone you would rather not hear talking or if you have been married for 30 years and have nothing left to say, ideal of course. Highly recommended for me because of the food, my company and the experience itself. If you're on a budget, it might not be the best choice. Just as an indication: we spent 180 euros for 6 glasses of wine (wine list, per glass), 2x main course and 1 side, still water.

Been here a few times now, it's a nice spot with a cozy bar, etc. Unfortunately I discovered that something went wrong with the food. At first I thought it was something else, but every time after eating the unagi sushi or oysters here, I throw up the next day and unfortunately also have diarrhea. At the hospital I was told it was food poisoning. Too bad, I liked coming there when I was in Amsterdam. Otherwise a nice location and friendly staff.

The food was great, it was truly a feast, we liked everything very much. Especially ceviche, crispy prawns and dim sum were legendary. I really liked the Golden Paloma cocktails and it's great that they use the Seventy One Gin brand. The atmosphere is nice, the service is a little slow, but the employees are friendly.

The DJ was great that they had so that’s the only reason I didn’t give it 1 star. Food is horrible, got the chicken and steak skewers, both came out cool and the chicken had no flavor at all, edamame was overcooked and the outer shell fell apart. We also got a side of pad Thai which was the worst pad Thai we’ve ever had, enough salt in it that if you dumped it into a fresh water lake you could put salt water fish it in. Just completely missed the mark. Would come for cocktails and music but would not eat here again

Yellow tail yuzu soy sauce was just perfect!!! Spring chicken teriyaki was also really tasty. Cod:3/5 Cocktails: 5/5 Mochi selections:5/5 Fried shrimps: 3/5 too sweety Nice rest but very pricy!!!

Delicious food but a bit of a hasty uninterested service

Afgelopen week bij Momo gegeten. In de reservering gevraagd om een rustige plek omdat het voor een speciale gelegenheid was. Vervolgens op de meest drukke plek neergezet, bijna bij anderen op schoot. Hebben elkaar amper verstaan, geen sfeer. 40 minuten gewacht tot we mochten bestellen. Onvriendelijk personeel. Prijs enorm duur voor wat je krijgt. Geen aanrader!

We ate here for lunch last month prawns was excellent highly recommend this and soft shell crab chicken satay was a bit of a let down staff and service was good also

We visited Momo restaurant last night to celebrate a special occasion, as our hotel had made the reservation for us. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. Upon arrival, we were told by the man at the door to wait until our host came to escort us. Despite waiting for 15 minutes and the restaurant not being particularly busy, the staff did not offer us a seat or make any effort to be friendly during this time. When we were finally shown to our table, we informed the hostess that we were ready to order. Instead of taking our order, she said the waiter would attend to us shortly. Unfortunately, that “shortly” turned into an unreasonably long wait. After sitting there feeling ignored and unwelcome, we decided to leave. The unprofessional, unfriendly, and inattentive service completely ruined our evening. For a place that markets itself as a high-end establishment, the staff’s attitude and lack of basic hospitality were unacceptable. We won’t be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant.

the hostess hates her work or people in general. not a single smile, no "hello" or "bye", very quickly tells all the information and then just turns around and ignores you. not sure what she is doing behind her computer but that seems the only thing she can focus on. drinks and snacks were nice and the bar staff super friendly, albeit a little less so when you don't order expensive wines or cocktails

Unacceptable Hygiene Standards and Poor Management Response During my visit to MOMO Restaurant, I was shocked to see a mouse in the dining area. I immediately informed the manager, expecting a prompt and professional response. Instead, they downplayed the situation, stating it was “normal,” without offering any apology, compensation, or even a solution to address the issue. For a restaurant that positions itself as a high-end establishment, this is completely unacceptable. Hygiene is non-negotiable, especially in a place of this caliber. The dismissive attitude from the management made the experience even more disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant and urge them to seriously address their hygiene and customer service standards.

The food was really good! But the service was super slow! I was there with my wife celebrating her birthday and due to the slow service she asked me not to get dessert! Our waiter was taking so long to get the food! He was having a conversation with every table and was not paying attention at all! He even made us wait for 15 min just to get the machine to pay the check! And he didnt even get it!!!! We ended up getting up to pay by the door without an apology for this bad service !!!! Thanks for ruining my wife’s birthday with this bad service !!

The food was good! The atmosphere was loud and dark. But the service was too slow!! Our waiter takes forever to get the food and get the check and even the card machine!! He keeps starting a conversation with every table! Took us 15 min just to pay the check and we had to pay at the entrance!!

We where a regular client from Momo, My wife liked it that's why i booked a booked weeks ahead a table for my wife's bith birthday, but on the end it turns on to a big disaster, i even received a mail from Momo or i was able to send a picture than they know who is the birthday person as i made it bij the booking clear its a birthday dinner for my wife, Than we arrived on the exact timing and still we had to wait for the table as the tables were not cleaned up, than we got finally the table mij wife was sitting on the couch i was on the chair as the tables are quite small the table on the right and the table on the left both couple were sitting next to each other on the couch side with the result my wife was squeezed in the middle with all the discomfort and special the left couple keep playing with the phones and walking in and out by hitting constantly our table, with the result our dinner was already spoiled due to the slow serving and the discomfort from the two tables, than we ordered the dessert ok finnaly the dessert came and i was waiting for the Happy birthday presentation what i had ask for but never came, my wife was already so dissapointed she ask me not ask any more we pay and we go, she already said we dont come here any more. than i want to pay the bill but i couldn't let it go so i told the waiter that we were very upset and told her why , she took the bill again and came back with birthday lighter i told her now when we want to go and i inform you now you come i told her now you can keep also the dinner is already spoiled any way.Then she waited for another 15 minutes before I was able to pay the bill.Then when we left and went and collected our jackets the lady saw most probably that our faces were far from happy, And she asked how it was.Then I informed her again what had happened. The only thing she said will be sure the next time we do better, I told her straight away there will NOT A NEXT TIME ANY MORE we are done with Momo. NOTE : I received a note from the management with the request to send various information booking date en correspondence, time etc I have send everthing they need and after that NOW NEWS ANYMORE

Mis hijos y yo apreciamos la excelente cocina japonesa y el menú aquí rivalizaba con cualquier restaurante japonés que hayamos estado. Cada plato que nos sirvieron fue excepcional, con una diversidad creativa de texturas y sabores exquisitos.

Excelente comida, sin embargo la música es un poco demasiado alta. Las copas de champán también se pueden llenar un poco más 😉 En general, buena experiencia y el personal es muy agradable

We looove everything they serve here. The beef tartare is served in an ice-looking plate which is super cool for those who want to take pictures! The tuna nigiri’s with caviar are amazing, but their taste isn’t very distinctive I would say. What really stands out was the bluefin tuna, the buttery taste of it is still lingering at the back of my tongue! Exceptional service with a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere. Love it

Very disappointed with the service and the bill. The waitress throws the dishes in people's faces, clears them before finishing for another service. And charging 12.5% ​​tax for extra service (surcharge of 40 eur!!!), under the pretext that it is the Halloween period. Nothing was announced, misleading commercial practices. Scam, avoid!!!

One of the best sushis I ate in my life!!! Everything is perfect! Is an experience for the senses and for perceptions! There is inteligence on everything related to Momo. Just good memories come to my mind. And I'm going there now in november again! Did my reservations already!

We had an excellent dinner experience here. Service, food and wine all contributed. Miso cod and matcha dessert were the stand-outs but every dish was great.

The place has a very nice vibe. Amazing food especially the octopus. Sushi was good and very interesting seaweed salad.

Bygone glory. I came here a few times since it opened and it’s gotten worse and worse. Had to wait 3 hours for my food since the kitchen forgot to make the order two times. Food is laughably overpriced. Staff was arrogant and unpleasant. The sushi was dry and mediocre at best. Shame, it used to be such a nice restaurant.

Vooropgesteld: het eten was prima, mijn ergernis werd opgeroepen door de sfeer en bediening rond het personeel, het leek alsof er geen aansturing was, lang wachten op drankje, en weer aangeven dat je al hebt besteld, iemand zegt sorry en het komt toch niet. Zelfde met de rekening waar ik zeker 30 minuten op moest wachten, terwijl het niet zo druk was meer. Ook twee keer naar gevraagd, zonder resultaat. Toen ik besloot op te staan, en naar de garderobe liep, rende de dame in kwestie achter mij aan met een pinautomaat. Heel onaangenaam voor een restaurant met goed eten en een trendy uiterlijk op een toplocatie. In mijn optiek is niet alleen het eten doorslaggevend maar ook de service. Dat laatste heb ik als beneden de maat ervaren helaas. Ook zagen wij een muis door het restaurant lopen. Mijn tafelgenote zei geruststellend: 'die zitten overal in de binnenstad'. Maar leuk is het niet echt. .

Very loud music for a dining restaurant

APPAULING appauling service. Reservation at the bar as it was available earlier than a preferred table. The bartenders, two sometimes three are clueless. Several other guests have arrived and have their food already......I'm still trying to order. This place has its head up its own, you know what. Heading to a lovely steak restaurant just down the road.

After we arrived and ordered food, having previously informed the waiter that nothing should be spicy, the waiter assured us that there was nothing spicy. However, they brought us sushi topped with spicy wasabi. We told the waiter about this, but he just apologized and left. Terrible service. Even in a regular burger joint, there’s more care for the customer.

The food was seriously lacking in taste – the seabass was particularly bad, and the chicken skewers were bland and uninspired. Nothing tasted fresh, which was a real letdown, especially given the premium prices. Speaking of which, the portions were tiny for what we paid – it felt like a complete rip-off. Overall, Momo did not live up to its reputation, and I won’t be returning.

Really enjoyed our meal here! Prices are fairly steep but the food and drinks were great. The grilled octopus was my favourite. Definitely get the spicy edamame! Only photos I could get were empty plates! Highly recommend also the prawns with curry sauce! Music is a little too loud, not a place for intimate conversation.

Top notch place and vibe...and the Toro tuna in the igloo is exceptional. I try to enjoy whenever in AMS.

Truly an example of you get what you pay for. Absolutely phenomenal sushi. I strongly recommend the foie gras and the spicy tuna along with the salmon ceviche. You will pay for it but you will know where your money went well worth it.

Beautiful Food - excellent service.

Avoid cocktails as they are either super sweet or super fruity with no real character/creativity which is expected at that price point. Only creativity was in naming them or slapping some togarashi on the rim Tapas / Bites were mediocre and overpriced. Felt like it came directly from the freezer. Atmosphere and decor was pretty good and service was ok. Had more of a 'tourist trap' feeling.

We had dinner there last night, the restaurant had a very nice vibe, nice seating, live DJ .. it was fun, we mostly had sushi and sashimi, everything was delicious, would definitely go again if I had a chance.

Amazing quality, we shared the Chilean sea bass, dim sum lobster bermuda, roasted cauliflower and the foie gras rolls with truffles. Very friendly staff, beautiful open kitchen that doesn't release any odors. The environment is very nice, really recommended!

Lang wachten of we iets te drinken kunnen bestellen. Eten of lang wachten of alles achter elkaar terwijl iemand alleen zit te eten heeft de rest nog niets. Eten is lekker maar erg karig. Rose is lekker maar erg weinig. Normaal communiceren is niet mogelijk, pompende harde muziek. Ik ben 57, denk dat het meer voor zien en gezien worden is. Teveel opgepompt voor mij, kijk mij hier. Geen gezellige sfeer voor mij als ik me nauwelijks verstaanbaar kan maken. Personeel kan wel een curus hospitality gebruiken. Laat te wensen over en graag in het Nederlands.

Disappointing Dining Experience at Momo Asian Fusion Restaurant I recently dined at Momo Asian Fusion Restaurant, and it was, unfortunately, a thoroughly disappointing experience. Despite its reputation and high ratings, the visit left much to be desired. Firstly, our server was unfriendly and unhelpful, making us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers. Simple requests, such as additional condiments, were met with visible annoyance and further delays. The food itself was another major letdown. For a place that is so highly rated, I expected much more in terms of flavor and quality. Each dish was bland and lacked any distinctive taste. Moreover, the prices were exorbitantly high for what was served. Given the lack of flavor and the poor service, the cost felt completely unjustified. I've had much better dining experiences at half the price in other restaurants around the city. It was clear that the restaurant was more concerned with its image than providing a worthwhile dining experience. Overall, I would not recommend Momo Asian Fusion Restaurant to anyone. The combination of poor customer service, tasteless food, and high prices makes it an overrated and unworthy choice for dining out.

A great fine dining experience in Amsterdam. The food was terrific and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend to visit this restaurant.

Excellent food, urban contemporary and very stylish setting. The prices are very high, even for Amsterdam, so expectations are high as well. The bar and service staff are nice and friendly, the greeter at the counter had more interest in her private phone than the guests, her colleagues or anything happening at the restaurant.

Good food. I would recommend their tuna sushi and pad Thai. However make sure you check the bill as we had a few things added to it that we didn't order. Also the water costs 8euros a bottle amd they just pushed the bottles without us asking for it. Kinda dubious way to do things.

All those bad ratings are due to the prices. As a former chef of a michelin Star Restaurant I definitely recommand the sushi experience. Top quality of the products, real wasabi and very well done by the kitchen. For european standards this is an absolutely enjoyable, top quality sushi place as you will not find very often here. It’s a shame, that so many people with no knowledge are judging here. And it must be hard for the kitchen crew to hold up their high standards even though most of their guests are stupid tourists, burning their money without understanding even a bit of what high level food they get. THAT is almost as embarrassing as the poorly competent ratings here…

I came on a Friday night and there was a live DJ. Food was pretty good and the drinks were pretty awesome too. Atmosphere was fairly upscale-ish. The price is high but food and drinks were good and so was the atmosphere.

The house priority is work with excellence and efficiency. Everything in it flows like in a concert. The perfect dishes receive the attention of everyone: the beautiful warrior manager, lovely waiters and amazing cooks, all reflecting a team committed to bring just the best to your table. The taste and flavour of a rare experience. It has everything that a fantastic place can offer besides making you feel like in a space movie. I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday in this magical place!

I've been here many times and was looking forward to having a nice meal again, but unfortunately I got very sick the last time. There were three of us and 2 of us got sick. Acute diarrhea attacks and vomiting. We went home sick. The assistant manager did nothing about it. He sent his staff with the bill and we paid it. We had to report again if we were still sick in 2 days. 1 of us is heavily pregnant and we weren't even asked if she was okay. We were looked at as we walked away. No compassion at all!

Great service, great food, best I have had in a while

Our dinner was so good that we ended up coming back the next day to try all the things we couldn’t get the first night! Seriously though, awesome Asian flavors including sushi, chicken, beef, and lots of noodle/salad options. The MOMO roll was a highlight! It was one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had and it even got my sushi hating wife to order a different roll the next day because her eyes were opened to the flavor and textures of great sushi! The cocktail program was on point with flavorful and balanced cocktails that pair perfectly with the different foods! At night, the vibe is great with great lighting, good music, and excellent service! 10/10 recommend this place, just order lots of things and let all the flavors take you on a journey.

I went here a few years ago and thought it was great. Reason why I visited again last week. The service was worthless. It looked like production work. The dishes were served one after the other. Price - quality - service not in proportion. Shame!

Called for a table at the bar. When we enter, the young lady says yes, go and sit at the bar somewhere in between. So firstly we are not even properly guided to the table and secondly we end up sitting somewhere with dirty glasses.

Good food and friendly staff. If you like some good sushi this will not disappoint. Also enjoyed the wagyu beef.

We went there this Friday. The food was decent, but the waitress should wear a smile on her face, and the waiter screaming as if he owns the place wasn’t the best thing either.

I went to this restaurant because I was staying at the hotel it connects to. Apparently they have a dress code and upon entering, the girl at the reception wanted to seat me at the bar since I was dressed in normal street clothes. The rest of the staff was very nice and the food was good.

The food, especially the sushi, was delicious, the service a little less so. Even though the tent was half empty, we were not allowed to have a drink at a table, we had to order food. The prices are quite high, you can easily pay 25 euros for a few sushis. The atmosphere also left little to be desired, it was not really a pleasant atmosphere. I won't go there again, which is a shame because it used to be a nicer place.
