Recently had dinner in this cozy restaurant and it was a really great experience! The food was fantastic – everything was fresh, tasty and well prepared. The Japanese and Chinese dishes were both excellent and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very warm and inviting. It is a nice place to enjoy a meal, with a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. What really topped it off was the great service. The staff were friendly, attentive and made us feel welcome all the time. Definitely recommended for anyone who likes good food and a good atmosphere!

The restaurant looks cozy and there is a separate entrance for those picking up. The food was very tasty and recommended. We had the Chicken Teriyaki, Beef Teriyaki and the vegetarian Tjap Choi with tofu. As a side dish we had white rice, fried rice and fried noodles. All three side dishes are recommended, even if they cost more than the white rice. The staff is very friendly, was able to give us very competent advice and gave us a portion of crab chips as a gift.

Both Japanese and Chinese are delicious. Delicious flavors and excellent quality. Service is sweet and attentive. Exactly right. I will definitely come back here again.

Underrated restaurant, certainly not a “Chinese” restaurant! What they make is much more refined than a standard Chinese one. Try the teriyaki which is sublime

Nice, not too big restaurant. Ordered a number of main courses here, including the teriyaki chicken. The meat arrived on the table in a still bubbling pan after about 20 minutes. Tasted delicious, highly recommended. Service extremely friendly and attentive. A somewhat hidden restaurant in Amsterdam North, but definitely worth coming back! Couldn't find anything negative, so 5 stars!

De plus, une de nos convives est allergique aux fruits de mer et crustacés et le restaurant l'a bien pris en compte. Ils nous ont même appelé pour nous demander quoi mettre à la place car nous avions commandé à emporter. Merci à eux !

I walked through the quiet streets of the Noord district, my stomach grumbling with hunger. The air was cool and crisp, and the occasional sound of a bicycle bell rang out in the distance. I soon came upon a small, unassuming Chinese restaurant nestled among the rows of tidy houses. As I stepped inside, the familiar sights and smells of a Chinese restaurant greeted me. The walls were adorned with red lanterns and calligraphy, and the scent of soy sauce and ginger hung heavy in the air. A friendly waiter approached me, his smile warm and welcoming. He led me to a table by the window and handed me a menu, filled with a wide variety of Chinese and Japanese dishes. I ordered a plate of stir-fried noodles with beef and vegetables, and a cup of green tea to wash it down. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary, but the prices were indeed very affordable. As I ate, I watched the bustle of the restaurant around me. Couples and families chattered over steaming bowls of soup, while waiters bustled back and forth with plates of sizzling stir-fry. Despite the ordinary appearance of the restaurant, there was a sense of peace and order here that was rare in the city. It was as if the chaos and noise of Amsterdam had been left behind, replaced by the gentle hum of conversation and the clink of chopsticks. In the end, I left Tai Yu feeling satisfied and content. The food was not the best I had ever tasted, but the friendly service and peaceful atmosphere made up for it. It was a small oasis of calm in the midst of a bustling city, and I knew I would return again one day

Top Chinees restaurant met heerlijke sushi en puur Chinese keuken gecombineerd. Wat er uitsprong was de Peking duck. Die was super van smaak. Nieuwendam is een heel mooi plekje in Amsterdam.

Leuke inrichting maar was wel een beetje koud.

Super lekker restaurant. De ebi tempura is kleiner geworden maar wel dezelfde prijs. Als ze minder duur waren kwamen wij vaker. Zelfs in het centrum of in Amstelveen eet je goedkoper . Maar eens in de zoveel tijd komen wij zeker hier naartoe. Maar echt zonde als ze mensen niet zo uitmelken hadden ze een betere omzet

Hidden gem in Amsterdam-noord! Ruime keus in zowel Japans als Chinees. Faveee ones: de ebi tempura maki en de teriyaki beef! Love the sizzling! Hoofdgerechten worden geserveerd met sushi rijst zoveeel beter dan dat droge rijst wat je normaliter krijgt. Gerechten smaakvol en ook niet vettig. Sushi is onwijs vers en dat proef je echt terug. Sfeer, rustgevend, personeel attent en eten top!. Eindelijk een moderne keuken in Noord met een touch van het ouderweste chinees. Lekker mee met de tijd! Toetje: Gratis parkeren naast het restaurant!

Kip kerrie is niet zo lekker - geen smaak - alleen heet - heeeel veel uien - prei is keihard - geen bamboe meer zoals vroeger. Nee die ga ik niet meer nemen. De chuka wakame salad was aangevuld met de slamix van een snackbar (rode witte kool, ijsbergsla, wortel) Nee ... 2 sterren omdat smaken verschillen.

Lekkere sushi, en vooral ook fijn dat je hier goed glutenvrij kan eten. Ze zijn goed op de hoogte.

Een niet al te groot Chinees Restaurant in Amsterdam noord, maar groot in hun bediening en hun producten. De gerechten die we kregen was zeer lekker. Aanrader was het verassing menu.

Niet druk op zondagavond. Heerlijk, in alle rust lekker gegeten. Prijs/kwaliteit is erg goed. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en oplettend, zodat je niks tekort komt en niet lang hoeft te wachten. Zeker een aanrader!
