What a lovely restaurant! Beautifully situated on the IJ River. We were there at night. The view is stunning. The food is highly recommended: a beautiful palette of flavors and presentation. The wine pairing was bold. A great combination.

A fantastic restaurant. The 5-course or 6-course options are just the right portion size. Every dish is made with care. Let me share: I tried tasting each dish clockwise with my fork, and discovered that although it was one dish, each bite had a different flavor. I usually have dessert, but I never eat chocolate because I find it too bland. This time, I had to try their chocolate mousse because my wife didn't want it that day, so we swapped. After the first bite, I really wanted a drink to accompany the happy feeling—it was so delicious! I'm so glad my son recommended this restaurant; it gave me a wonderful memory. I wholeheartedly recommend it as a part of my Amsterdam memories.

Elegant atmosphere, we really enjoyed the view. The food was delicious and the presentation was actractive. Kind staff who know about wine. Only two questionable points: 1) we do not get why putting pickles and peanuts in such elaborate and delicate dishes. 2) background electronic music took away from the atmosphere.

What I find a shame about a Michelin-starred restaurant is that the water wasn't served as a complimentary. We had a wine pairing, and the water was refilled sparingly. With the bill, we were charged for a total of 10 glasses of water and 6 bottles of water at €4.75 each. We obviously didn't agree to this, and two bottles were deducted without mercy. For a restaurant of this caliber, I think this detracts from the experience and luxury. Tip: pour unlimited water or leave a bottle on the table.

Beautiful space with a panoramic view of the IJ River. The food was incredibly tasty, with wonderful flavor and texture combinations. We're pretty snobbish when it comes to dining out, but we absolutely loved Mos! The sommelier, in particular, made our evening. He's such a wonderful storyteller. In short, we had a wonderful time and highly recommended. If I can think of one downside: we mentioned it was for my birthday, and they didn't acknowledge it. But no big deal, because the evening was fantastic.

We went to MOS for my husband's birthday. The evening started out lovely, and the food was superb. We opted for the 6 course menu with wine pairing, and things were great...until they weren't. We waited for about 45 minutes after the rest of the courses for the dessert course to arrive, and it somehow felt as though we were imposing by waiting for the final course. Every table around us (many that arrived after us) were not only finished before us, but received a cheese course and wine pairing that we didn't receive (perhaps it was extra, but I don't believe so). We had 3 different servers throughout the night, so I'd like to be generous and say that they just got confused on where we were in the menu and were busy with other tables, but when you are spending close to €500 for dinner, you expect them to get everything 100% right. I was disappointed by the service, but I would still recommend visiting for the experience.

Extraordinary experience. Beautiful location and view , staff is very kind and professional, food is simple amazing. Every bite had different flavours and textures, we enjoyed the 6 course menu, took us on a special journey. Highly recommended . My partner is vegetarian, and they had a full vegetarian menu so we could both enjoy the full experience.

We been there for a business dinner and was a great experience. Starting from the warm welcome, the kind and super precise staff, the atmosphere. A special and separated mention goes to the food and wine. We opted for the 6 courses tasting menu with wine pairing, that was incredible in the flavours and tastes, each dish was properly explained as the paired wine. Also the view from the top floor where we seated was incredible. I greatly suggest to have a tasting dinner there if you are a food and wine lover as me!

This was at least our sixth visit to MOS, and it never fails to delight. The atmosphere is vibrant, with a stunning view over the IJ harbor—it feels effortlessly chic and welcoming. Chef Egon is truly a master of his craft! The yellowfin tuna, hake, and prawns? Absolutely sublime. And those sweetbreads with salted peach? Pure perfection. As always, the wine pairing enhances every nuance of the dishes, while the service remains impeccably kind, personal, and attentive—truly enriching every moment. In short: exceptional food, sublime ambiance, and top-notch service. If you’re planning an unforgettable evening in Amsterdam, MOS is the place. We’ll be back soon!

Very nice, surprising dishes. The staff is friendly, no nonsense, and contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. The view over the IJ is fantastic.

We had a lovely lunch at Mos. There were very few other guests, so service was good and it was quiet. Great views of the Ij. Food was delicious. The (vegetarian) amuse bouche we all got at the start was particularly delicious. My only small disappointment was that my vegetarian menu items did not taste or look quite on par with the regular menu, or even with the vegetarian items served to everyone. I appreciate the challenge of catering to vegetarians, but equating a bean and potato cassoulet with venison was a bit disappointing. Likewise fried artichoke next to a (by all accounts sublime) fish course. Again, can imagine it’s a challenge, but I did not have quite the same wow experience as the others. Still recommend, and would go back again.

For my girlfriend's birthday, we visited restaurant MOS in Amsterdam. The reservation went smoothly through Zenchef. Communication Two to three weeks before our visit, I sent two emails inquiring about the wine pairing prices and the availability of minor dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, I never received a response. This was a missed opportunity for better service. However, it was known that it was a birthday, which resulted in an extra birthday dessert; a nice gesture. Food and Wine We opted for the six-course dinner, including a cheese board and one wine pairing. The portions were generous. The flavors were good, but the presentation lacked some finesse and elegance. Few dishes truly surprised us. Service The service was disappointing for us. With the exception of the sommelier, who did an excellent job, the waiters were often rushed, and the service seemed impersonal and unprofessional. Upon arrival, my girlfriend wasn't helped with her chair, and throughout the evening, the service felt cold. A small silver lining was that my napkin was folded when I went to the restroom. Unfortunately, after the first bottle of water, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Furthermore, the staff's attire—polo shirts and various sneakers—didn't contribute to the chic ambiance you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Conclusion While the location and view are beautiful, I wasn't pleasantly surprised after a dinner costing almost €500. Neither the food nor the service were up to par. For that reason, I wouldn't return anytime soon.

A great restaurant located on the IJ River, naturally overlooking it. Weather permitting, you can sit on the terrace or inside, with a view of the kitchen downstairs. Choose from a multi-course menu with optional wine pairings or a wine from the menu. The staff is very friendly. The dishes are deliciously flavorful and beautifully presented. The whole experience is simply perfect. A top-notch restaurant!

A very refined dining experience overall, with creative dishes and excellent execution. • The venison was tender and flavorful, from a young stag, with just the right chew. • The deep-sea fish was fresh, paired with a foamy seafood sauce that was both inventive and memorable. • The veal sweetbread with black truffle was the highlight of the meal — absolutely delicious. • The strawberry dessert provided a refreshing and elegant finish. The only drawback was the opening “first bite” — the flavor was odd, and a cold soup that followed didn’t quite work for me. Aside from that, everything else was excellent and beautifully presented.

The food is exquisite, unique and amazing

First time enjoying our time at a Michelin restaurant and the results showed, what standard a Michelin Restaurant has. Truly a Restaurant that lives up its star. To get a better picture of what I mean: Picture this, you‘re eating having a small dish, however, each bite you take gives you 2-5 different types of flavors at once. This place also serves the best ice cream I have ever eaten: ginger ice cream topped with vanilla ice cream, mixed dutch cherrys. Truly a taste I‘ve never experienced before Sone dishes were gorgeous styled, but too salty, mainly the fish-dishes and therefore unfortunately The servers and owner were excellent and nice

Our meal at MOS was an unforgettable culinary exploration. The preset menu was beautifully prepared, with each course offering something creative and delicious. They did an outstanding job accommodating our gluten allergy—not by simply leaving things off the plate, but by thoughtfully modifying dishes so we could fully enjoy the experience. The service was excellent—attentive without being overbearing—and the location provides a fun, different view of Amsterdam that adds to the charm. We did have two small complaints. First, the dinner stretched to 4 hours, with some gaps of 30 minutes or more between courses that made the pacing feel a little awkward. Second, there was an issue with our umbrellas—staff retained them for us, but we missed retrieving them, and unfortunately, our follow-up email asking for help went unanswered. Even with these minor drawbacks, the food, care in preparation, and ambiance made this a memorable night out. Worth a visit if you have the time (and patience) to savor a very slow, elegant meal.

The food was 5-6/10 across 5 courses menu The service was at maximum average, with waiters messing up who is getting which drink, putting plates on top of table napkins making plates uneven. Also it was sort of strange that men were served before women at the table 😑 I mean it could be fine in the restaurant around the corner in your neighbourhood, but this is not what you expect from 1 Michelin star

The food was good and original. Some tables overlook the IJ, others the Central Station, which is a bit less idyllic. There was a hair on our amuse-bouche, and a piece of plastic in my dessert. All of these things can happen, but dismissing it with "I'll pass it on to the kitchen" is absolutely unbecoming of a restaurant of this caliber. It's all possible, but the way it was handled and these lunch prices are completely out of sync.

Nice calm atmosphere, delightful food, served with perfect timing. The wine pairing is worth it. And the service is warm with a touch of humor. I had a great time.

Creative and stylish tasting menu! We had the six course wine-pairing and I have to say the combinations were very well chosen. Particularly the Chardonnay and the Greek dessert wine. Presentation was outstanding throughout. Dishes started with a light touch: apple with yellowfin tuna sashimi and trout flan with crab. The only jarring note of the evening was the switch to a heavier duck roll that the red wine pairing couldn’t quite prepare us for. But the veal that followed was a highlight. I also recommend the milk bread. It wasn’t supposed to taste strongly as a complement, but was delicious. Highly recommend.

Had a really nice dinner at MOS. The menu feels well thought out — everything we tried was delicious and made with care. What stood out most was the manager. Super friendly and welcoming, happy to chat and answer questions without making us feel rushed. It added a personal touch that you don’t get everywhere. Only thing I’d tweak is the music — it didn’t quite match the atmosphere. But all in all, a place I’d happily come back to.

I definitely do not recommend the Most restaurant in Amsterdam. I wanted to order a glass of wine, but I was refused service because I didn't order dinner - it was the first time I've encountered something like this. In addition, I wanted to sit outside, where it was empty, but I was not allowed either. The restaurant was empty, and yet they did not want to serve the customer. A very unpleasant experience.

A real evening out for a beautiful culinary experience, with very good service. Very hospitable, driven, passionate and relaxed and a nice atmosphere. We enjoyed it and it was an experience. The layout and combinations/choices of putting ingredients together was an art. Definitely recommended for a beautiful, surprising evening. With a view of the IJ, a seat by the window is an extra gift. It was noted that it was my birthday, even though we had not reported it. Yet we are surprised at the end. Very nice!

Had dinner at MOS with my husband. Unfortunately, not a pleasant experience for us. When making the reservation, I told you what I would not eat. We were cheerfully welcomed by a nice boy. He then asked if it was correct that I didn't eat certain things. That was right. Nice, so it has been noted. The 1st dish came. There was something in this that I told them I wouldn't eat. I thought okay... a mistake... can happen, but I let my husband eat my first dish. Second dish, the same story again, but I then indicated that I did not eat that and had passed on that and it was confirmed upon arrival. Grumpy and irritated, my plate was taken away and I was quickly given a replacement dish. After that the atmosphere really changed for us. The person who served us stopped coming and didn't look at us anymore. I expect at least something of an apology and/or some compensation. This is something we can do once every 2 years because it is expensive. But what if you are treated like this? Really not nice for a star restaurant. At the end he came to report; I assume everything was to your liking, right? Have a nice evening! Ehh no, it wasn't and you knew that very well. Once for us but never again. To think that we spent a lot of money on a worthless treatment, we would rather have eaten somewhere else. Once and never again.

Incredible place the dish is an eggplant mousse. No wonder its Michelin star. The other dish is marinated sea bass accompanied by millefeuille with sesame seeds.

The food tastes okay. While eating 6 courses of foie gras, my friend came across a strand of steel wool. He said he was sorry and said you were lucky and had a 1 in a million chance. He also makes strange jokes, such as going to the casino. There's nothing wrong with your body after eating, right? I also make jokes like this. Calculation is also provided from another table, Since we split the bill, the receipt gets crumpled right before our eyes and the service is the worst.

I was eating and found a foreign object made of iron. I complained and the staff came and said, "I'm sorry, but you won a one in a million chance and you're the lucky one. Go to the casino. " He joked. I don't understand how you can pay a lot of money at a Michelin restaurant and not get proper service and have to joke about it. When I tried to pay, I asked for a split and they angrily took the old receipt away and brought me a new one. It's so unkind.

We went to MOS for a six-course dinner and were absolutely amazed! The view of the IJ river, top-notch service, and food leave nothing more to be desired - We will be back for sure!

First time at MOS and the service was exquisite. The food was creative with a mix of European and International cuisine, featuring Dutch ingredients. We had the 6-course menu and added oysters as an aperitif. Overall, a great spot for fine dining in Amsterdam city center with a fantastic view of the IJ.

Received with all due respect on a quiet Wednesday evening. The appetizers could have had a bit more flavor, but after that almost all dishes were star-worthy. Wine and non-alcoholic advice was not only very good and positively surprising, but above all very hospitable. Plus points for bringing only the vegetarian menu if you indicated this when you made your reservation. Go eat here!

The food is absolutely amazing and well balanced. Great atmosphere and the people are very kind. 100% a recommendation. Reserve upfront at the Interparking. It’s a 5 min walk.

Price/quality is okay but no Michelin experience. Service was not sharp, veal was drowned out by the oyster, scallops by the daikon, sweetbreads by the dal and the ray was too salty. Chocolate dessert was very good. Dress code is casual chic while the service looks casual smart.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations. The food was insanely delicious and such a great service! I highly recommend this place. The best dutch fine dining experience!

On average, we do some things with potential every year. Unfortunately, moss is not what we hoped it would be in comparison. The lady who first spoke to us at the table was short and unfriendly. The dishes were tasty, but with little surprise. The veal sweetbreads certainly did not achieve the expected results. The wines, despite the repeated "pairing" did not provide a wow feeling.

What a pleasant dining experience. Greeted at the door for my birthday with a kind smile and took my coat. The waiters could have been slightly more attentive to cleaning the crumbs off the table after each course and filling our glasses more regularly. Worth noting is that the dining room area is very loud and I didn't love that aspect of things. I think that the restaurant could do a better job of trying to dampen the sound reverberation to make a more intimate setting. The chef did an excellent job with his courses which were diverse and very enjoyable on the palate. I especially commend him for making substitutions based on dietary restrictions and still making exceptional dishes out of the permissable ingredients. I greatly appreciate the chef for taking time out of the kitchen briefly to take a picture with us. I would come back here.

MOS was a good fine dining experience starting from the staff and environment. Located next to the water, the restaurant is a ln open space with two stories designed with a boutique feel. The staff was attentive enough though different people were explaining and serving dishes and some dishes were explained better than others. Each dish highlight local meats and produce while having Asian flavor influences as well which made some of the dishes interesting.

We had a very tasty meal here with a beautiful view of the IJ. Fast service with a smile. It is a busy and trendy place, so quite a lot of background noise from other guests. Recommended!

Not worth the hype, The service is absolutely under par and the food is not astounding. It all started rather well, but the service went from bad to worse, getting to point in which dessert took 45 minutes to arrive, which was honestly not worth the wait. Worst thing is that the chef got upset and stormed out after us because someone from the party posted a bad review. Rather than saying sorry he insisted on an explanation for the review, speaking in a firm and insistent tone. This explanation was given, which is precisely what I am narrating. I can understand visiting if you’re a local and want to explore different restaurants, but as a tourist, I would say there are many other options in Amsterdam with exceptional cuisine.

A top business with the right people in the right place, commitment is a driving force here. You will feel like a king in the Chef's palette of flavors and with the tastiest matching wines. You come here for an EXPERIENCE.

Took 40 minutes between plates. The owner scolded/questioned me for giving the place a bad review. I explained the reasons for my bad review and he did not apologize, just kept on questioning why I gave a 1 star review. Food was good the experience was mediocre.

Delicious food, with certainly a few very good highlights (pike-perch, among others). The wine was also tasty, well chosen and very nicely explained. Friendly man with a passion for his profession. However, that passion was hard to find in any other table attendant. From the start there was no laughing matter. Didn't seem to feel like it and wasn't sharp either. Would have liked to order caviar with the second dish as stated on the menu, but it was not offered. Food was served while I went to the toilet and we would receive an explanation of the dishes on the plate together. Hasn't happened again. These details must be correct at star level with the corresponding price.

A Memorable Dining Experience at MOS Amsterdam – November 21st, 2023 MOS Amsterdam has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants, and I wanted to share my wonderful experience. 1. Cooking with Passion The chef and owner clearly have a deep love for cooking. They creatively blend a variety of ingredients to craft exceptional flavors, such as the delightful use of white truffle on the canule. The complimentary sourdough bread was outstanding – truly some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was above average in taste and presentation. 2. Fresh, Quality Ingredients The focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients adds a delicate touch to every meal. You can taste the quality and care in every bite, making for a truly elevated dining experience. 3. Beautiful Atmosphere Situated by the bay, MOS offers not only fantastic food but also a serene and picturesque setting. The combination of good wines, excellent food, and the peaceful waterfront view made the experience even more special. 4. A Must-Visit in Amsterdam Thank you to the team at MOS for a wonderful evening! This is one of the restaurants I highly recommend when visiting Amsterdam, and I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience from appetizer to dessert. Enjoyed an excellent 4-course lunch on the waterfront terrace. Nice and attentive service. Respect for dietary requirements and dish changes!

Lovely experience! We went for the 5 course menu and every dish was outstanding. The presentation, the combination of flavors, textures, etc. everything was finely balanced. We chose the wine pairing and each one was better than the previous, from good to spectacular. The food and the wines were in great harmony. Last but not least, the people , waiters and Danilo, the sommelier, made us feel very confortable, far from the rigidity sometimes found in Michelin start restaurants. Definately It is worth spending a bit more...

I got sick from the sea bass tartare within two hours of eating it my doctor checked me for parasites when I got back to usa and found the infection. Had terrible nausea, fever, and body aches. emailed the restaurant regarding the incident but they never replied.

The whole atmosphere of the location was wholesome it makes me feel at home

Really nice staff. However, very annoying when they ask if you want sparkling water or plain and still give me plain water. And not only that, they continue to fill my glass with plain water even though I filled it with bubbles myself. Really nice staff, but of course difficult with the language, but that was to be expected. Way too small portions, we ordered the maximum number of dishes plus cheese. But still, you didn't even get close to full... The water costs them a lot of money anyway. They also refill your glass without asking, so it is very difficult to imagine that you will have to pay for it.

A half-hearted dinner. Deconstructed and messy dishes. No connection between the plates - different services presented in bite-sized pieces without coherence. The service was, however, very good and the place is sublime. The food and wine pairing is generous but divisive.

5 course lunch menu. All dishes are amazing. The river view from the windows is a delight to the eye. I had great dining experience here. Highly recommend Mos to everyone who enjoys seafood and fine dining.

High level food and service, remarkable sea view. There is a paid underground car park 100 meters from the venue. Recommended experience without any doubt!

Great location, great cuisine, where brigade works hard for high quality. Of course it costs a lot of money, but the experience is completely worth it. They probably make money from the drink, but that's fair

M O S | A M S T E R D A M The location is stunning, just like the panoramic view of the IJ. It is also nice that you can look into the open kitchen and have a view of the pass. I think the appetizers were a good example for the rest of the evening. Above all, they were beautiful, tasted fine, but were not surprising and/or exciting. The dishes had a fairly flat taste, except for the main course, which was extremely sour in taste, out of balance and did not feel nice in the mouth. The service was very friendly and correct, the main course that we did not eat was neatly removed from the receipt. The wine pairings were good and in 2 of the 6 dishes the wine was even better than the dish. After seeing the dessert on the menu I had high hopes for a banger of a closing, unfortunately the dessert was just fine and after eating it certainly cannot be described as a dish that you still look back on with longing. As an avid amateur baker, I really understand that Madeleines are an easy hit as a friandise, because they are quick and easy to prepare and they always taste nice in the mouth. The problem is that almost every fine dining restaurant uses them as 1 of the 4 friandises, which is a shame. It often feels like a “must” even though it is the last thing you eat. At @orangeriedepol or @roemerutrecht, both of which do not have a star, they understand that friandises are important. They go for variety, innovation and fine flavors. Back to @mosamsterdam, the bill was for 4 people, minus 2x main course with wine that were neatly removed, €700+. That was certainly not worth it for us, the taste explosions did not happen and I would not recommend it myself. It feels a bit, more and more, that when a place has a star for longer they relax, no longer put passion into the food and go for an extra @moldbrothers decoration piece on top so that it looks nice and sophisticated, but no longer go for the taste.

Went here back in January of this year. This is really more of an "experience" and the owner/head chef seems very knowledgeable. It feels you are approaching the expected value of what you are paying, which can be really hit or miss in Amsterdam. We arrived after the sun had gone down and it looked gorgeous looking out on the water with all the lights, and immaculately decorated and clean on the inside. The attention to every detail was definitely noticeable. From the amazing caramelized butter for the perfect bread to the somewhat complicated flavor pairings throughout each plate. The head chef or owner came to our table to explain his recommendations and choices in great detail which was nice, and our waiter seemed to enjoy his job which was great! I think I found the flavor in general to be delicate and carefully done and easy to enjoy, but missing some "pow" - not enough acid, spice, fat, char, etc. So everything a bit muted and seemed created for the Dutch palate (sorry!). With some odd details like the most generic white button mushrooms on an otherwise very artistic plate, and a tough/very chewy piece of meat. But I'm glad we went and would recommend the experience if you like fine dining.
