An exceptionally great Michelin restaurant with great vegetarian options that are fresh and highly innovative. The taste and flavors were outstanding. The entire meal served in a wand artistic way . Amazing restaurant with a fantastic view. Their staff was very knowledgeable and explained the menu and every ingredient. We requested a window seat and they had it reserved for us! We ordered the four course dinner and it was the right amount. Arrived early so we went to the restaurant next door to get a glass of wine.

The male waiter needs more training. It’s a Michelin restaurant and the service is important. When the customer asked whether I can sit next to the window you should explain why it’s not possible rather than only say no. The food is also not impressive. I would recommend Bridges as a Michelin restaurant with better food and service and lower price

Arrived early for a nearby dinner, charmed by the terrace, and asked simply if I could sit with a glass of wine for 40 minutes. Declined. Drinks without a full menu, apparently not possible. I am a certified Sommelier. The terrace was a third empty. It was almost 7pm. For context, I once walked unannounced into Noma, then the best restaurant in the world. They set a table for one without hesitation and poured me something lovely. A Michelin star is not a reason to turn away a genuine guest on a quiet evening. It is, if anything, supposed to mean the opposite. What I encountered was insecurity wearing a Michelin star as a costume. A Michelin star is an extraordinary achievement and should be celebrated. But somewhere between earning it and displaying it, this restaurant seems to have confused exclusivity with excellence. The food may well be remarkable. I will never know. People come for the food. They stay, return, and tell others because of how you made them feel. That is hospitality. It is also, not coincidentally, what Michelin has always rewarded most generously. A third-full terrace and a plastic smile sent me elsewhere. Not a catastrophe for me. Possibly worth reflecting on for them.

Ok food but at those prices (200e per person) I expected much more. Big disappointment. Location also not great. Go to de kas or scheepskameelmor or zoldering: spend the same but get MUCH more value.

Excellent dinner at MOS. - Everything was very good (I particularly enjoyed the kingfish dish, the one with asparagus and beurre blanc, and the veal), - the warm homemade bread was dense and crusty, just the way we like it, - Pleasant service, especially from the chef and the man who served us dessert (Italian, I believe), - The place is nice, with a lovely open view. A well-deserved star and good value for money.

Pricey, but you really do get what you pay for. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian menus were really excellent. It was also very nice that the vegetarian dishes were actually full-fledged, creative meals, unlike the meat menu where the meat is replaced by a portobello or something similar. Nice view over the IJ, friendly and professional service that struck a nice balance between formal enough but not stiff. The wine was also very tasty. Had a wonderful evening!

You can tell why it earned its Michelin star. However, the service felt extremely slow. While I understand that pacing is part of the fine dining experience, this felt excessive and took away from the enjoyment. Instead of building anticipation, it became a bit frustrating. The ambience is also not what you might expect from a Michelin-starred place. The industrial look—with visible ceilings and minimalistic decor—feels a bit cold and lacks the wow factor or coziness you might hope for at this level. Considering the price point, the overall experience felt just okay. Expectations were high because of the Michelin star, but it didn’t quite deliver that “memorable” factor. ✨ Verdict: Great food and presentation, but slow service and underwhelming ambiance. Good, but not exceptional for a Michelin-star experience.

Have visited MOS twice for business dinners. So so good. I’m vegan and they’ve catered for that incredibly well. Not sure how it is on a regular night but they’ve been spectacular with taste, presentation, service, wine pairing. Hope to come back with family and friends soon for a comparable experience.

The food was excellent, however, the service and ambiance were not up to Michelin-star standards: no handbag rack, order errors, constantly changing servers. Noisy, impersonal atmosphere.

The food is enjoyable, but the service falls short of what you would expect from a restaurant of this standard. It’s also concerning to see that similar comments about staff attitude have been mentioned in reviews for years. Dining is about the full experience, not just the taste of the food.

From the start, we received a very warm welcome and excellent service. The food truly elevated the culinary experience with incredible touches. The view and ambiance at MOS are also undeniably great. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, from the desserts to the savory dishes. We opted for one of the six tasting menus paired with wine, and it was excellent.

It was a very pleasant experience for us. Food was very good, the first two courses was not fully up to my liking but after that it delivered what it promised. I highly reconnend to get the optional cheese course. Also the wine pairing was phenomenal! Only the German white wine was a bit off but still good. Service was good, but as others mentioned before you usually wont be served by the same person which can be bothersome for some, but for us it was not a big deal.

A strong introduction to Dutch fine dining. Came for lunch and did their shorter six-course tasting. Not a long menu, but there were no weak spots. Many dishes were rooted in classical French technique but entirely open to global inflection. Nothing leaned on gimmicks, and my favorites were the dorade, pike perch, and sweetbread. Kingfish - A clean, composed opener. Thick-cut kingfish with gentle warmth from baharat, balanced by green apple, dill, and a light brininess from razor clam. Dorade - Crisp-skinned dorade paired with a light poultry liver cream that added so much depth without overwhelming the fish. Sherry plums brought a subtle sweetness, while fennel kept the finish fresh. Pike Perch - My favorite dish of the afternoon. The dish was autumn distilled. The mild, buttery fish was carried by an extraordinary, smoky eel hollandaise that literally made me pause mid-bite. A northern European comfort dish brilliantly reimagined. Sweetbread - A daring mid-meal pivot. Crisped golden sweetbreads matched with peanut cream and a deep, umami-rich XO sauce. Maitake reinforced the caramelized notes, while tomato and radish kept it from feeling too heavy. Venison - Perfectly cooked. Trumpet mushrooms and creamy polenta grounded the dish, while raspberry added just enough brightness. The coffee element was subtle, more aromatic than dominant. Overall, an impeccable menu with zero misses.

Let me start with something positive: the food was amazing. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We were disappointed that we didn't have a designated host or hostess, but were served by a total of four different staff members. We weren't asked if we wanted a wine pairing. The first course was served without wine, as we hadn't requested it. We thought the welcome drink might still be part of this course. We inquired about this later, and were told that we hadn't been asked because we still had some left in our glasses. They did mention that it should have been accompanied by a wine pairing. It's a shame to start like that and that an assumption was made. Furthermore, we only received a sandwich after we requested it, with the third course. At other tables, we saw this served with the amuse-bouche without them having to ask. We also found the explanation of the food and wines rather scanty. This had been much better on previous visits. Finally, when we got home and looked at the menu again, we realized we hadn't had the last course. All in all, the food was very good, but the service and the overall course of the evening were unfortunately much less than stellar.

Great experience! We enjoyed the 6 course chef's menu and it was mostly very delicious and well designed. The menu is a seafood/vegetables heavy starter set with a very nicely grilled beef with a great reduction sauce. The tuna was a great starter, melted in your mouth. The seabass was also very well balanced with all the green. The codfish however was a bit blend, the sauce was a bit too acidic and the fish itself was a bit dry. Everything else was exceptional. The beef and the sauce was very delicious. Definitely worth trying.

MOS Amsterdam Located at IJdok Wharf The chef excels at combining French techniques with creative approaches. The atmosphere is rated as less formal and relatively relaxed, a Michelin-starred restaurant. Points are awarded from the bread and butter alone. The pace of service is also brisk. Probably the fastest meal of the trip.

I went here for my 18th birthday; it was supposed to be a special evening. The food was excellent, and so was the wine! Unfortunately, the service was very unpleasant. Our waiter kept leaning on the edge of the steel fence next to our table while he talked to us and was very nonchalant about the food and wine; hardly anything was said about it. It was also very difficult to smile, even when we mentioned it was my birthday; congratulations didn't come through. Such a shame, because the restaurant was otherwise beautiful.

An exceptional evening! We came to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, but the experience went far beyond that: attentive service, a warm atmosphere, and an incredibly kind chef. He even gave us a handwritten note at the end of the meal with several recommendations for his favorite places in the country. A thousand thanks, we'll be back!

What a lovely restaurant! Beautifully situated on the IJ River. We were there at night. The view is stunning. The food is highly recommended: a beautiful palette of flavors and presentation. The wine pairing was bold. A great combination.

A fantastic restaurant. The 5-course or 6-course options are just the right portion size. Every dish is made with care. Let me share: I tried tasting each dish clockwise with my fork, and discovered that although it was one dish, each bite had a different flavor. I usually have dessert, but I never eat chocolate because I find it too bland. This time, I had to try their chocolate mousse because my wife didn't want it that day, so we swapped. After the first bite, I really wanted a drink to accompany the happy feeling—it was so delicious! I'm so glad my son recommended this restaurant; it gave me a wonderful memory. I wholeheartedly recommend it as a part of my Amsterdam memories.

Elegant atmosphere, we really enjoyed the view. The food was delicious and the presentation was actractive. Kind staff who know about wine. Only two questionable points: 1) we do not get why putting pickles and peanuts in such elaborate and delicate dishes. 2) background electronic music took away from the atmosphere.

What I find a shame about a Michelin-starred restaurant is that the water wasn't served as a complimentary. We had a wine pairing, and the water was refilled sparingly. With the bill, we were charged for a total of 10 glasses of water and 6 bottles of water at €4.75 each. We obviously didn't agree to this, and two bottles were deducted without mercy. For a restaurant of this caliber, I think this detracts from the experience and luxury. Tip: pour unlimited water or leave a bottle on the table.

Beautiful space with a panoramic view of the IJ River. The food was incredibly tasty, with wonderful flavor and texture combinations. We're pretty snobbish when it comes to dining out, but we absolutely loved Mos! The sommelier, in particular, made our evening. He's such a wonderful storyteller. In short, we had a wonderful time and highly recommended. If I can think of one downside: we mentioned it was for my birthday, and they didn't acknowledge it. But no big deal, because the evening was fantastic.

We went to MOS for my husband's birthday. The evening started out lovely, and the food was superb. We opted for the 6 course menu with wine pairing, and things were great...until they weren't. We waited for about 45 minutes after the rest of the courses for the dessert course to arrive, and it somehow felt as though we were imposing by waiting for the final course. Every table around us (many that arrived after us) were not only finished before us, but received a cheese course and wine pairing that we didn't receive (perhaps it was extra, but I don't believe so). We had 3 different servers throughout the night, so I'd like to be generous and say that they just got confused on where we were in the menu and were busy with other tables, but when you are spending close to €500 for dinner, you expect them to get everything 100% right. I was disappointed by the service, but I would still recommend visiting for the experience.

We been there for a business dinner and was a great experience. Starting from the warm welcome, the kind and super precise staff, the atmosphere. A special and separated mention goes to the food and wine. We opted for the 6 courses tasting menu with wine pairing, that was incredible in the flavours and tastes, each dish was properly explained as the paired wine. Also the view from the top floor where we seated was incredible. I greatly suggest to have a tasting dinner there if you are a food and wine lover as me!

Chef Egon is truly a master of his craft! The yellowfin tuna, hake, and prawns? Absolutely sublime. And those sweetbreads with salted peach? Pure perfection. As always, the wine pairing enhances every nuance of the dishes, while the service remains impeccably kind, personal, and attentive—truly enriching every moment. We had a lovely lunch at Mos. There were very few other guests, so service was good and it was quiet. Great views of the Ij. Food was delicious. The (vegetarian) amuse bouche we all got at the start was particularly delicious. My only small disappointment was that my vegetarian menu items did not taste or look quite on par with the regular menu, or even with the vegetarian items served to everyone. I appreciate the challenge of catering to vegetarians, but equating a bean and potato cassoulet with venison was a bit disappointing. Likewise fried artichoke next to a (by all accounts sublime) fish course. Again, can imagine it’s a challenge, but I did not have quite the same wow experience as the others. Still recommend, and would go back again.

For my girlfriend's birthday, we visited restaurant MOS in Amsterdam. The reservation went smoothly through Zenchef. Communication Two to three weeks before our visit, I sent two emails inquiring about the wine pairing prices and the availability of minor dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, I never received a response. This was a missed opportunity for better service. However, it was known that it was a birthday, which resulted in an extra birthday dessert; a nice gesture. Food and Wine We opted for the six-course dinner, including a cheese board and one wine pairing. The portions were generous. The flavors were good, but the presentation lacked some finesse and elegance. Few dishes truly surprised us. Service The service was disappointing for us. With the exception of the sommelier, who did an excellent job, the waiters were often rushed, and the service seemed impersonal and unprofessional. Upon arrival, my girlfriend wasn't helped with her chair, and throughout the evening, the service felt cold. A small silver lining was that my napkin was folded when I went to the restroom. Unfortunately, after the first bottle of water, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink. Furthermore, the staff's attire—polo shirts and various sneakers—didn't contribute to the chic ambiance you'd expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. Conclusion While the location and view are beautiful, I wasn't pleasantly surprised after a dinner costing almost €500. Neither the food nor the service were up to par. For that reason, I wouldn't return anytime soon.

The whole experience is simply perfect. A top-notch restaurant!

A very refined dining experience overall, with creative dishes and excellent execution. • The venison was tender and flavorful, from a young stag, with just the right chew. • The deep-sea fish was fresh, paired with a foamy seafood sauce that was both inventive and memorable. • The veal sweetbread with black truffle was the highlight of the meal — absolutely delicious. • The strawberry dessert provided a refreshing and elegant finish. The only drawback was the opening “first bite” — the flavor was odd, and a cold soup that followed didn’t quite work for me. Aside from that, everything else was excellent and beautifully presented.

First time enjoying our time at a Michelin restaurant and the results showed, what standard a Michelin Restaurant has. Truly a Restaurant that lives up its star. To get a better picture of what I mean: Picture this, you‘re eating having a small dish, however, each bite you take gives you 2-5 different types of flavors at once. This place also serves the best ice cream I have ever eaten: ginger ice cream topped with vanilla ice cream, mixed dutch cherrys. Truly a taste I‘ve never experienced before Sone dishes were gorgeous styled, but too salty, mainly the fish-dishes and therefore unfortunately The servers and owner were excellent and nice

The food is exquisite, unique and amazing

Our meal at MOS was an unforgettable culinary exploration. The preset menu was beautifully prepared, with each course offering something creative and delicious. They did an outstanding job accommodating our gluten allergy—not by simply leaving things off the plate, but by thoughtfully modifying dishes so we could fully enjoy the experience. The service was excellent—attentive without being overbearing—and the location provides a fun, different view of Amsterdam that adds to the charm. We did have two small complaints. First, the dinner stretched to 4 hours, with some gaps of 30 minutes or more between courses that made the pacing feel a little awkward. Second, there was an issue with our umbrellas—staff retained them for us, but we missed retrieving them, and unfortunately, our follow-up email asking for help went unanswered. Even with these minor drawbacks, the food, care in preparation, and ambiance made this a memorable night out. Worth a visit if you have the time (and patience) to savor a very slow, elegant meal.

The food was 5-6/10 across 5 courses menu The service was at maximum average, with waiters messing up who is getting which drink, putting plates on top of table napkins making plates uneven. Also it was sort of strange that men were served before women at the table 😑 I mean it could be fine in the restaurant around the corner in your neighbourhood, but this is not what you expect from 1 Michelin star

The food was good and original. Some tables overlook the IJ, others the Central Station, which is a bit less idyllic. There was a hair on our amuse-bouche, and a piece of plastic in my dessert. All of these things can happen, but dismissing it with "I'll pass it on to the kitchen" is absolutely unbecoming of a restaurant of this caliber. It's all possible, but the way it was handled and these lunch prices are completely out of sync.

Nice calm atmosphere, delightful food, served with perfect timing. The wine pairing is worth it. And the service is warm with a touch of humor. I had a great time.

Creative and stylish tasting menu! We had the six course wine-pairing and I have to say the combinations were very well chosen. Particularly the Chardonnay and the Greek dessert wine. Presentation was outstanding throughout. Dishes started with a light touch: apple with yellowfin tuna sashimi and trout flan with crab. The only jarring note of the evening was the switch to a heavier duck roll that the red wine pairing couldn’t quite prepare us for. But the veal that followed was a highlight. I also recommend the milk bread. It wasn’t supposed to taste strongly as a complement, but was delicious. Highly recommend.

I definitely do not recommend the Most restaurant in Amsterdam. I wanted to order a glass of wine, but I was refused service because I didn't order dinner - it was the first time I've encountered something like this. In addition, I wanted to sit outside, where it was empty, but I was not allowed either. The restaurant was empty, and yet they did not want to serve the customer. A very unpleasant experience.

I thought okay... a mistake... can happen, but I let my husband eat my first dish. Second dish, the same story again, but I then indicated that I did not eat that and had passed on that and it was confirmed upon arrival. Grumpy and irritated, my plate was taken away and I was quickly given a replacement dish. After that the atmosphere really changed for us. The person who served us stopped coming and didn't look at us anymore. I expect at least something of an apology and/or some compensation. This is something we can do once every 2 years because it is expensive. But what if you are treated like this? Really not nice for a star restaurant. At the end he came to report; I assume everything was to your liking, right? Have a nice evening! Ehh no, it wasn't and you knew that very well. Once for us but never again. To think that we spent a lot of money on a worthless treatment, we would rather have eaten somewhere else. Once and never again.

Incredible place the dish is an eggplant mousse. No wonder its Michelin star. The other dish is marinated sea bass accompanied by millefeuille with sesame seeds.

The food tastes okay. While eating 6 courses of foie gras, my friend came across a strand of steel wool. He said he was sorry and said you were lucky and had a 1 in a million chance. He also makes strange jokes, such as going to the casino. There's nothing wrong with your body after eating, right? I also make jokes like this. Calculation is also provided from another table, Since we split the bill, the receipt gets crumpled right before our eyes and the service is the worst.

I was eating and found a foreign object made of iron. I complained and the staff came and said, "I'm sorry, but you won a one in a million chance and you're the lucky one. Go to the casino. Excellence all around. Don't miss the wine arrangement with interesting wine pairings, perfect plating, attentive service, beautiful space and views over the water. You know it's good when I forgot to take pictures of each course.

World class, really superb in all respects

We went to MOS for a six-course dinner and were absolutely amazed! The view of the IJ river, top-notch service, and food leave nothing more to be desired - We will be back for sure!

First time at MOS and the service was exquisite. The food was creative with a mix of European and International cuisine, featuring Dutch ingredients. We had the 6-course menu and added oysters as an aperitif. Overall, a great spot for fine dining in Amsterdam city center with a fantastic view of the IJ.

Fantastic food and service. Just had a perfect dinner here for a second time. We had the 6 course chef's menu and it was really out of this world. We'll be back.
