Museumcafé Ginkgo in Wijk 06 Binnenstad

It is a beautiful spot in good weather. To get to the botanical garden next door, you need to pick up a ticket at the museum or have a museum card. The café closes at 5:30 PM; you can order until 5:00 PM.

Very kind and cozy. They let us eat even tho they were about to close the shop.

Waited a long time to order food, but they just nonchalantly stay standing in the kitchen. And they simply don't come to help you either.

Kind of a haven in Utrecht city. The museum itself is very worthwhile to visit and then you can visit the cafe for free. If you only want to visit the cafe you will have to pay a small fee first. So do combine it with a museum visit. If you have a museumkaart the entrance will be for free. Once there, visit the lovely green house and garden

Visited this cafe today... very friendly staff, fast and efficient service... Limited menu, but the Dahl soup is truly unparalleled. The price/quality ratio is excellent... This is an oasis of calm in the city center... free admission, even without visiting the museum... an oasis of calm in a hectic city... I'll definitely be back.

We had to wait a long time for food and drinks. The toasted sandwich arrived first, and then the drinks 10 minutes later.

We had high tea here at Christmas—what a treat! A festively decorated table, a wide selection of savory and sweet treats, and plenty of tea. They were very accommodating to the two children who accompanied us, and the service was friendly. Everything was ready at the reserved time. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

A hidden gem in the museum. It's not only open to the museum visitors but everyone. It's very quiet during the day and pleasing to enjoy a drink with a great view of the garden. The coffee bean was a bit over roasted though.

The kitchen is closed at 1:30 PM and there are hardly any cans ready, you can only drink.

At 1:30 PM the kitchen is closed and nothing more to eat. This while the venue is open until 5:30 PM. This is too sad for words. Last time we come here

Nice place in the botanical garden of the university. There is a little bar offering snacks and drinks. Very calm and surrounded by nature and nice old buildings. A good place to have a break.

Waited 45 minutes for nothing. After sitting down for the second time, only receiving a menu after 30 minutes and finally being able to order after another 15 minutes, the kitchen suddenly closes. This really could have been told earlier, thanks for wasting my time. It wasn't even busy. 1/5

Another delicious sandwich. It was discovered, because I was just able to join others. It is advisable to make a reservation for lunch.

Nice location near the Oude Hortus and the university museum. When there is a little sun you can sit outside. Card is fine but not very special.

Beautiful location in the Oude Hortus, with a very nice terrace in the summer months with a view of the greenhouses, trees and plants. The menu is simple but of good quality. Service is reasonably attentive, although they are slightly less alert when it is quiet. There is also a reading table and interactive screens with information about the Hortus. Disadvantage: only accessible if you have an entrance ticket for the museum.
